Catalonia Excelsior

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at the Catalonia Excelsior in Valencia. Overall, the experience was mostly positive, with just a small hiccup on the first night when there was a leak in the bathroom. I reported it to reception and, to their credit, it was dealt with and fixed promptly, which I appreciated. The standout feature of this hotel is its location. It’s excellently situated with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do, making it ideal for exploring the city on foot and getting around without any hassle. Shops, sights and transport links were all close by, which made our trip much more enjoyable. Despite the initial issue, I would happily stay here again, purely for the convenience of the location and how straightforward it made our visit to Valencia.

We stayed at the Catalonia Excelsior for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the historic center (Calle Barcelonina), making it incredibly convenient to reach all major attractions like the Mercado Central, the Cathedral, and the Barrio del Carmen on foot. It was the perfect base for our trip. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We were particularly impressed by the breakfast buffet, which offered a great variety of fresh options to start the day. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Valencia who wants to be in the center without sacrificing comfort and cleanliness.

I am publicly calling a staff member out for RACISM and MOCKERY towards me during my last night at this hotel. I walked through the reception area at 2105PM on Sunday 25th of January where I was jokingly greeted with “Ni Hao” then laughed at with his other colleague as I walked away. Bear in mind I do not look Chinese at all and I am a Filipino male from the UK.
