This tour took us to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, Lapataia Bay, the end of the pan american highway and a visit to the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino (convict railway)museum. Our guide and driver prepared some Mate Cocido for us at the stop to watch the train go by and the guide explained the genocide history of the Selk'nam. The only negative was that communication about pickup at the ship was problematic for us and we almost missed the tour.

Really great experience. Tour guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable,, a great day and learnt loads.
This was a well organized and interesting excursion. Our guide, Diego, was really good - very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to. He was always making sure we were having a good time
A fantastic tour which we really enjoyed. Pablo was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into the history of the area and the natural environment. Well organised and we got to see a lot of the area. Would highly recommend.
Andie (Andreas) the guide was very informative throughout the tour giving us facts and figures about Ushuaia and the National Park. The tour started early so we could be ahead of the crowds going into the park. Enjoyed the stop near the railway line for a snack and drink before heading back to Ushuaia.
We had a great tour to the national park. Our driver was excellent and our guide was fantastic. She gave us so much information during our tour. I liked all the insight to living life in Ushuaia. She was very personable and went above and beyond. We would have loved to walk a little more in the park but it began to drizzle rain. Very nice experience.
There were 20 of us on a small bus. Easy to find on the pier. Overall saw all the sites the shore excursions from our ship did with way less hassle
The very clean 16-seater minibus was waiting for us right at the bottom of the ship's gangway, so we didn't have to walk down the long dock. Communication in the days leading up to the tour from the tour operator was excellent. The road turns to gravel just outside Ushuaia. The scenery inside the National Park was a bit scrubby, but the scenery from the viewpoints was fantastic. The post-office-at-the-end-of-the-world is now permanently closed but remains as just a colourful shed on a wharf. All advertised aspects of the tour were covered very well. The highlight for me was when we had morning tea, where our excellent guide brought out some maps and explained in great detail the geography and history of the region, as well as the culture of the local people. our morning tea consisted of tea, coffee, mate, a bottle each of glacial water and a local biscuit. We could also pick wild blueberries (sour) while waiting for the steam train to pass. This five hour tour cost us A$365.58 for the two of us, plus A$30 each entry into the national park. When we got back to the ship there were horror stories about some of the excursions so we were very glad we picked this one. Well done Ushuaia Shore Excursions.
Wonderful guide and driver! The itinerary was short and provided a glimpse of the park. The crowds were terrible with this itinerary possibly being the most popular. Buses and fellow tourists made the stops too congested to enjoy much of the “nature”. However there was a very bright spot and that was the weather and our last stop. Away from the crowds to a meadow to view wild horses up close and enjoy our guide’s hospitality with refreshments. Excellent and most enjoyable.
A good tour of the National Park, our Tour Guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The vehicle was very clean and well maintained. Nice little picnic of beverages and cookies which was unsuspected.
Do not book this tour with this operator. when we got there at the agreed time, they were gone 1.5 hour early without notifying us about exact time of a change. So we were charged $ 240 for nothing. Had to take a tour with another operator. Just use any other operator you can rely upon.
Fantastic experience! Madra was excellent guide. We could easily understand her and she was very knowledgeable. We lucked out with beautiful weather. There were treats and drinks at last stop.
This was a great small group tour to the National park in Ushuaia. We got to see a lot of beautiful areas and avoid the gimmicky end of the world train. I would recommend this tour to others wishing to see the scenic areas near Ushuaia
Great guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Focus was on the human and natural aspects of the national park. Highly recommend.
Excellent tour. Tour guide and driver did a great job in explaining the park and providing other information about Ushuaia. The stop to have dessert and macha was an added bonus as we got to see the tourist train roll by.
Our driver knew how to avoid the crowds and the guide was amazing! We went to several gorgeous places and it was so nice not being part of a huge tour group. I highly recommend this tour.
Great communication prior to the tour . Travelled in a comfortable minibus in a group of ten . The tour guide Federico and his driver , organised the day so that we avoided crowds as much as possible. This was much appreciated. Federico was knowledgeable, considerate and engaging. The tour allowed for a smooth and gentle day visiting this beautiful National Park followed by ample free time in the downtown area of Ushuaia. I would definitely recommend to others.
We had a friendly and enthusiastic guide, Pablo, although he talked very fast, and with his accent, it was often hard to understand him. The tour stopped at Roca Lake for photos and about a 20 min. walk; not much to see. Then went to another stop for photos with some wild horses and watched the tourist train go by (verrrrry slowly). That's it. Really not worth it, I'm sorry to say. Town was nice for shopping, but all typical souvenirs, not a whole lot of decor or classier items. Easily walkable area.
We had a great experience with Hector and Maru(?). She had lots of information to share and we learned so much about the area! The pace was good - enough time to explore, but still covered everything on the tour.
Our guide Pablo was very knowledgeable and also so enthusiastic about sharing his experiences of Ushuaia and the park with us. It is a beautiful place.
Wonderfully organized independent trip. With fewer people we were able to beat the larger buses from the ships. We were pleased to get out and walk some trails - although if you have mobility issues this could be hard. Our guide, Pablo explained many things about the area.
We had a great time visiting Tierra del Fuego National Park! We saw some beautiful scenery and the tour guide was very knowledgeable!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Pablo, was very knowledgeable and shared so much about the area, the indigenous peoples and the animals. This national park is a must see!
Guillermo was a great guide. We considered the train excursion but we saw them and much more and we made the right choice. Four interesting stops and great explanations and history thrown in. We had ideal weather so that helped but it was well worth doing I think in any weather.
Because it was a rainy day we had to adjust. The picnic portion was basically rained out. I did not participate. The scenery was beautiful, but the windows were so dirty and fogged up. We couldn’t see as we were driving. The tour guides kept their sense of humor and tried to make the best of it.
Awesome tour! Federico is the perfect host. Friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. We toured Tierra del Fuego National Park. We would recommend this tour and tour company! Thank you Federico!
Very average experience, little to nothing unusual to see. To be completely honest, the various stops were made solely so that those sho needed it could use the porta potties.
This tour operator takes you to a few hidden gems and ahead of the big buses. Safe and clean small group transportation. Highly recommended!
Spectacular sites accompanied with a local expert guide and driver showing us exactly the most amazing and panoramic views paire with his local insights.
We had a great day exploring the national park. Maru did an excellent job of explaining Patagonia and the area. The driver was top notch in our 14 passenger van. Lovely day!
Federico was by far THE BEST tour guide. We ended up with a private tour for 4 and it could not have been better! He took us to the main spots with informative explanations, but also to local areas and treated us to a great snack in a surreal picnic area! He even made mate for us. It was truly an awesome day thanks to him. Ushuaia is a unique colorful city surrounded by majestic mountains on the Beagle Channel.
Pablo was a fantastic tour guide. His passion for Ushuaia truly shines through, and he goes above and beyond to make each tour engaging, informative, and memorable. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and cares deeply about creating a wonderful experience for every guest.
Great trip. Well planned and educational. Highly recommend. Go ahead and book this trip you won’t be disappointed.
Frederico that took us was wonderful. Local to the area is very knowledgeable about customs and The national park. We had to stop at a lovely area by some "wild" horses that are not really wild and enjoyed a local snack and drink. If you want to know the story about the wild horses, you need to take the tour!
Fantastic tour led by a great company! The tour guy loves his work so he accomplishes his tasks so enthusiastically. Very knowledgeable, very informative, very care his clients Very well arranged the whole trip. We had great time in Ushuaia. Strongly recommend this company!
Our guide Frederico was excellent and provided us with an amazing tour of the national park. The park was beautiful and could have spent more time there. We even had a picnic by the river with the wild horses! We highly recommend going with a small tour group.
We had a fantastic tour guided by Ushuaia Shore Excursions in Tierra del Fuego National park. Our tour guide Pablo did such a great job. He’s enthusiastic, professional, care, knowledgeable, efficient, patient. Everybody just so happy with the trip he and our driver managed and arranged. Fully satisfied with the services this company provides and strongly recommend it to everyone!!
Our guide, Giselle, gave us so much history and context about the places we visited and answered many of our questions. She was relaxed, pleasant, knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy sharing the experience with us. I enjoyed that there were clips of time to explore on our own and that we didn’t feel rushed. We had moments to linger and take it all in. My one regret….she introduced us to the Argentinian drink of mate and I did not observe the cultural custom of sharing. She mentioned it but I didn’t really understand. Next time Giselle :)
What a great guide we had! He was knowledgeable and personable. We highly recommend this tour. And the park was amazing!
It was wonderful to travel in a small vehicle vs. a bus load full of people. We beat the crowd in. Every stop. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun!
Our guide was fantastic. We had a great day out in Tierra del Fuego national Park. We saw a beautiful scenery. Very informative and well worth the time we spent. Would love to come back and spend more time in this area and would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide, Federico, was the best. We had a small group (6) and we were able to avoid all the crowds around the park. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot of history during our tour. The best part was the short “picnic” at the secluded area near a river. From the pickup at the pier to the drop off at the end, everything was seamless. I highly recommend this tour (and the guide 🙂).
Gui was a great tour guide. The stops were all done with an appropriate amount of time for each. The smaller vehicle helped us to get going faster than the buses. I really appreciated the attention to detail in providing a gluten free snack for my wife.
We were 2 couples on a cruise with a port stop in Ushuaia. This shore excursion was one of the highlights of our cruise. The scenery in this national park is astounding! We booked directly with this company using their website. I prefer to support local tour companies so this way, all the profits stays local instead of 20-25% going to an overseas middleman(VIATOR, GetYourGuide, etc). Our guide and driver was the owner Frederico himself. His English was great and he gave us many little "extras" which was really appreciated. We got to see all the attractions like Lapataia Bay, End of World post office on Lake Roca, and even more gorgeous landscapes in an area of the park where big buses are not allowed. Frederico even gave us a quick tour of the town of Ushuaia at the end before dropping us off at the port. We were so lucky to see wildlife like the Andean Condor and the Andean red fox. It was mostly good value. It would have been even better value if we had gotten a more substantial snack like empanadas in addition to the sweets. And we would have liked to experience a small hike in the beautiful park especially in the area where the big buses were not allowed seeing as our group were younger and had appropriate footwear.
We booked this tour last minute whilst on a cruise. Federico our guide was brilliant. He was obviously proud of his town and country and passionate about nature. He gave us so much information about the area and was an excellent guide. It was lovely to be on a small group tour. A super day!
Federico gave us an excellent experience visiting Tierra del Fuego National park. He was friendly, informative and adapted tour to suit weather conditions. On our guided walk he pointed out native orchids and wildlife even played recording of birds on phone to encourage bird activity He gave us a Mate experience making the drink for us to taste and stopped for picnic in beautiful area with coffee and Alfajor Argentinian treat. On way back to ship we drove around the city of Ushuaia along Main Street pointing out gift stores, restaurants and craft market. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in South America
Can't recommend this trip highly enough. Maru is an expert and her enthusiasm for sharing hat expertise comes across, aswell as her love of her home. Both she andNico our driver went out of their way to show us as muchas possible, and answered every question with patience and knowledge. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!.
We had a great tour guide in a group of 6 travelers. He was able to avoid the crowds & buses of tourists. A very pleasant experience with a super friendly guide who went out of his way to make our experience memorable. Definitely will use Viator again.
Beautiful tour through Tierra del Fuego. Loved the small group size. Maru was an excellent guide with good knowledge of the area.
I did not have internet onboard and did not get meeting instructions until in port. We missed the pickup but Frederico waited to see if we would arrive. When we did he provided us an exceptional tour. We got to see everything because we were able to move at our own pace. We even had a wonderful local snack in an amazingly scenic location.
