i would not recommend this tour company! the service was poor, they were 1.5 hours late for us and had us waiting from 7:30 am. they didn’t apologise for having up waiting . on top of that the tour was very rushed and we were given 10 mins at locations for pictures. this was not sufficient to be able to take in the views and be cable to see the space. on top of that you need to pay for the park entrance separate . i would recommend taking a private car to the train and do this tour on your own . this was truly disappointing

Itinerary
We will take the train at the End of the World Station. On board the train you will be able to hear the story of the prisoners who came daily to cut wood to this area, and delight in magnificent landscapes, composed of the zigzagging Pipo River, the La Macarena waterfall, the tree cemetery and the majestic forest of lengas In this way you will visit an inaccessible part of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you can enjoy this experience aboard a vintage railway, with its steam locomotives and elegant cars that have large windows and an individual audio system, the which offers the possibility of listening to the story in 7 different languages, in order to not only appreciate the nature that surrounds it, but also know a very important part of the history of Ushuaia.
Arriving at the National Park Station, our last stop, your guide will be waiting for you to continue your visit to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. The National Park represents the southernmost protected area in Argentina. It is the only one that has sea coasts and mountains. On this tour we will visit the Pipo River, Monte Susana, Acigami Lake, Alacush Visitor Center, Laguna Verde and Lapataia Bay where the Pan-American route system ends. We will make descents to take photographs and a walk of about 30 minutes that will be subject to weather conditions. The topography of the Park is extremely varied, being a succession of steep mountains, rivers, valleys, lakes until accessing the coast of the Beagle Channel. Throughout the year you can admire the subantarctic forest. The most common mammal is the Fuegian red fox. The variety of marine and mountainous environments allows bird species to live here.

Was goood iloved the place iwill go back again
The End of the World Train was not the best part of the tour, but it was fun in a touristy way. Most of the trip was via bus and we were picked up at our hotel. We appreciated the beautiful scenery and the information about the flora and fauna in the Park related by our guide. We had visited the prison museum prior to the tour which put the purpose of the train line in perspective.
Over rated massively over charged. You are Forced to buy a national park permit . So instead of costing 30,000 ARS it’s 60,000 ARS per person . But it’s not sold at that price. PLUS the COST of transport to and from the station @ approx 40,000 ARS Return. We Explained that we didn’t want to get off the train and go into the park. It would have been simple to regulate those using the park or not. Tour companies charge heavily and would cost even more. Then - Because of the time limitations on the only two return trains means you can’t really do anything ( 2 hour window) so it wasn’t worth it at all! The only positive were the views of the stark landscape albeit beautiful. It is likened to the UK charging visitors to enter the Lake District or the Yorkshire’s dales or Peak District.
Luca was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide who understood the historical nature of the national park. He was prompt to pick us up and very courteous at al times. His enthusiasm was evident as was his passion for the environment and his culture. Highly recommended.
Lago Roca view was breathtaking. However tour guide organization was awful. I would suggest to do the trip on your own.
Don’t waste your time. You can take a taxi to the train and buy your own ticket. You can take a taxi around the park and do your own thing for way cheaper.
Train trip interesting with great audio guide. Bus trip through the park had good info commentary but limited stop and walk opportunities. However overall a good experience. Arrangements hampered by confusion about pickup times and location. I had to make several calls, texts and emails to confirm but once I got the right number the response was quick.
They cancelled our tour at 8:00pm the night before we were supposed to go. They wanted us to change days, but we had no other days. I would never use this company.
We arrived in Ushuaia a day early for our Antarctica expedition with the intent of taking this tour. We had a wonderful time on our tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park - our guide was excellent, and managed informative narration in three languages, without us feeling we missed something. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and learning a great deal about the people who called this land home before outsiders arrived. The End of the World Train was enjoyable and informative. The recorded narration told a fascinating history of the penal colony that operated in this location. We were surprised to see all the tree stumps remaining as evidence of prisoner labor. We recommend this tour.
The train was dull. The post office was closed when we stopped by (it opened ~45 minutes later). Tierra del Fuego is beautiful, but I would recommend against the large tour bus route. The guide shared interesting information about the area, but overall I felt it wasn't worth the price.
The End of the World Train is really fascinating. I've never been on a narrow gauge railroad before. The experience is well curated--there is a loudspeaker that narrates what you are seeing, and how it was built (prison labor) and also quotes from some of the men who did the work, which was grueling and freezing, but a way to leave the prison for a time . It is not a long ride, but some of the views were amazing, as was the chance to see wild horses running free. We continued to see horses as we toured the national park, and some of the views there, especially from the post office, were really spectacular. It was a pleasant and informative way to spend a morning. Windy though so dress appropriately!
This tour had three excellent components. Today's tour started with a 2+ hour bus ride through the beauty of the National Park with several opportunities to get off the bus for scenic views and photos. The next step was boarding the train in the park to head back to town. We found the recorded narration very informative and interesting - the story of the founding of Ushuaia as a penal colony. What made this package excellent was our guide Pablo. He seemed to relate to each person in the tour group on a personal basis. He provided clear, interesting information in 3 languages in an entertaining manner. We've been with guides all around the world, and Pablo is one of the best.
What a wonderful park! We did a guided tour prior to an Antarctica trip. Got to drive thru thru park, made a couple stops to hike a couple trails. Saw some birds n horses. Great lake views. Stopped at train depo on way out and southern most post office to mail post cards
I changed the date and no one picked me up. When I inquired, they notified me that I would be contacted a day prior to the trip regarding pick up location. I told them to please cancel the trip, as it had already passed and I was not picked up. Again, they sent me a message stating that they are excited to have me on board.
The Tierra del Fuego National Park Half-Day Tour with Optional End of the World Train Ride was an OK tour. However, it is not worth the money. The train ride is very short, > 90 minutes. The Tierra del Fuego Park is worth a visit but it is definitely not a must-see.
We had such a good time in this park especially with the tall colors and sparkling lakes and creeks. Adriana our guide was able to guide us well through the whole trip. The train ride is likewise amazing.
I reserved an English tour and I was the only one on the bus who spoke English. The tour was in Spanish.
The park is lovely and the train ride was very interesting, mainly to learn about the history of the area and particularly the penal colony. The train is very "cozy" - not terribly comfortable for "plus-size" passengers. The stop at the end of the Pan-American highway was fun and interesting. Our guide was very informative and pleasant.
Choose other tour operators please! Tour was confirmed, but no one contacted me before or after, driver did not show, and my request on refund was rejected! All shitshow happened on the first day of new year 2023! Before my tour, no one contacted me via WhatsApp or messages to confirm the itinerary like other operators. They might argue they sent me msg through TripAdvisor two days before, but really I have not received any notification. On the day they noted I was missing, they did not even bother to contact me either. I was waiting for 30min in the rain and their phone was not contactable! When I request the refund, the customer service let me take all the blame. TBH it is not a large amount of the cash (£33), but the attitude is not acceptable and how they run the business is not really smart. BTW, I sent email to the tour operator itself, but again nobody replied, it is like they never exist. In short, I pretended I lost this money, but please choose another tour operator if you need one in Ushuaia!
Like a lot of travelers I did this tour before heading out to antarctica, it's a great way to get a small look at Tierra del fuego. I did the train ride as well, a fun and unique way to see the park. Our guide Lu was fantastic and very knowledgeable of all things in the park and train related. Then the added convenience of pick up and drop off in the city center. We began at 8:00 and finished back in town at 1:30. Good time :)
This tour gave us a snapshot of the National park and we learned about the prisoners when on the train. Very enjoyable experience
Having read so many Polar explorers’ accounts of their experiences, to walk the streets of Ushuaia brought those days a little closer to oneself. We never could have imagined the reality of moving around Tierra del Fuego by road and dirt track. Cruising along the Beagle Channel was unforgettable.
DO NOT BOOK. This advertisement is a scam. It says your park entrance fee is included…then after you pay Viator, it magically isn’t included anymore. It is an extra $22 per person in cash, and no one will care that you booked a tour that said it included the entrance fee. We did not get picked up at our hotel either… we had to walk down to the tourist dock. Find a different tour to see the park. The train ride is also stupid, but you either ride the train or sit on the bus while others ride. An entire hour of the tour is wasted waiting in line for train tickets and then waiting for the train. Once you get on the train, it is an hour of fields…nothing scenic. All the incredible mountain pictures you see advertised…you won’t see anything like them on this tour. Just hills, trees, and lakes. I requested a $44 reimbursement from Viator for their lie, but I’ve received no response. You are better off booking tours in person once you get to Ushuaia. There’s tons of options and no middle man.
Boring, could of seen more, was boring, not enough to see , didn’t really see much for the money, tour guid didn’t explain enough english Boring tour
The park was beautiful. I think for the price, the train ride was not that impressive. Touring from the bus would have been enough
This was both Spanish and English tour - Spanish first, then English. It was not small group either. The park is worth it but do it with a smaller group
Excellent trip, would highly recommend. Although it is a quick trip around, you do get time to stop off and have a wander. The tour leader was fabulous. As I was the only English speaking traveller, I got a personal commentary.
If you love trains -especially steam trains - this is a must. The less-than-stellar reviews must be from people who don't love a gorgeous steam train! The trip was well-organized and interesting. For me, the highlight was the steam train.
Scenery was nice - but not spectacular. The lines of tour buses going to the same places was endless.
The guide we had was lovely and very informative. However, this is just tour were you sit on a bus, have a 10 min photo stop, get back on the bus, then repeat at each stop. You don’t really have the chance to explore, which is a shame because this is such a beautiful place. Plus if you are there when’s cruise ship is in port, there are 100s of people at each place.
After picked up from the hotel, taken to the railway station and about one hour ride. Thereafter bus, viewpoint, photo time, bus, viewpoint, photo. And over. I just wanted to have 0.5-1 hour walk in the park. But it was my mistake. I should have read the introduction of this tour a bit deeply.
Most importantly, the tour was actually 8:15-1:45ish, which made it very tight getting back on our cruise ship in time. Also, confusing as to time we were being picked up. Viator is not the trip operator, and its difficult to get operator to respond. Actual tour itself was nice. Train ride fun.
Train ride is fun. There is an audio tape that plays whilst you travel the short line. Gives an extensive history of the train, prison and the settlement of the area. our guide spoke in Spanish and English. She was well informed and brought numerous insight about the park and it’s inhabitants.
The tour with the train was not good value and added little to our trip. Other than getting a look at the landscape not much else. Our guide was good but she did not have much to work with. The high point of the tour was seeing the end of the world sign. Not very exciting.
This was boring trip Not much to do A formality only Would do only if extra time available Many other excursions better
The tour was too good. Our local provider was Romba Sur. The guide was well versed and kept us entertained. Its a must visit when in ushuaia.
The train ride is complete rubbish, especially for the price. If there’s a cruise ship in it’s bus after bus. It’s cloudy more days than not. I’d skip it for sure. Do the city tour in Ushuaia.
The trip was very enjoyable and I liked the guide. However, I was quite disappointed how it was managed. I called the local agent(the number you provided) two days prior to confirm the hotel pickup. However non one came at 8:00am and I asked the hotel people to help me call the local agent(at Ushuaia) and we were told that they thought that I was joining a tour on 12/10. Clearly there is miscommunication between your local agent(probably in Buenos Aires) and Ushuaia company. Finally they sent someone and met me at 8:30. We had five people in the group and everyone spoke Spanish. Though the guide could speak English but clearly this is not an English-spoken group. I was quite disappointed how it was managed.
Nice excursion to do. Board the train get a back carriage see the train going around the bends. Gives you an idea how the convicts worked in the very remote place of the world.
The train was small, the guide only translated 20% of the tour into English. Would skip and grab a cab to hike the park on our own if we had to do it again.
This tour gave us a memorable experience. The train ride was amazing, knowing it’s history. The national Park visit was nice too. It was was very relaxing being there and just enjoying nature. This is just the right place if you want to escape the outside world👍🏼
The guide was VERY knowledgeable and provided some good info but the price was outrageous when I found out others in my group were able to get the same tour from another company that even INCLUDED the park entrance fees for over 60% less than this tour. No frills tour, for a luxury price. (No water or snacks provided) The operator showed up on time and offered to drop us off in the city center or back at our hotels, which was super nice. But again, I wouldn't recommend this, for the price paid.
must if one want to see great scenery. Departure and return was on time. However despite all effort made by the guide I couldn't benefit equally to explanations. I booked to be in English group but ended alone in spanish speaking group. Frustrating.
A short ride in a bus, a nice and pretty easy walk on the trail, discover a couple of selected outlooks places, with a great passionate and knowledgeable guide. We had the company of Joachim, very friendly, local deep knowledge of the area, history, fauna and flora. Tasty lunch in a tent with view in the bay. Nice day to discover the many aspect of the national park. The park entrance fee is if 560 Argentina pesos to pay on the tour. Take the right apparel and shoes, trail can be slippery with mud and rain. Plus weather changes quickly... I didn’t take the train your, it’s 7 kilometers in one hour and doesn’t give out much outlook on the spots.
I like a lot the experience to go in a train that in the past (over a hundred years ago) was used for the wors prisioners of Argentina and nos is a beatiful place to visit.
The National Park was amazing! The train and the history was fascinating, I'm glad I did it...but I got more out of the National Park.
Half day trip from cruise ship. Fantastic natural landscape and wildlife. Lake Ensenada is particularly beautiful with a Post Office in the middle of nowhere allegedly the most southerly in the world. Must visit.
First of all, it is a great experience to have, if you are Ushuaia or that part of the world. Not a fancy train for the price but it does tell a story. The view and the natural beauty is unforgettable.
Took the train pre Antarctic cruise it is just a train but does take you through some interesting scenery It is a replica of the train used to transport the prisoners of pass years. The train does stop and you can disembark and explore but be quick and back on the train to continue the circuit journey.A bit overpriced for what you get but you can say :"I have been on the train to the end of the world".
