We took a half-day guided trip in a small van from Ushuaia into Tierra del Fuego National Park with our very knowledgeable guide Julie who met us inside the hotel lobby. The scenery was quite dramatic but further into the park, it would probably be much more impressive in scale. There are no large predators to spot, however we were lucky enough to see the rare Patagonian fox, along with Upland geese, and black-necked swans as well as other local birds. While some people enjoyed the train ride, Julie took us on a short hike to a waterfall where we passed a beaver dam and a herd of wild horses. It was an excellent way to experience the park and its wildlife, in limited time.

Itinerary
We arrive at the End of the World Station, one of the stops on the tour (approx. 30 minutes). Those who have reserved it can take the optional tour on the old Prisoner Train, now converted into a tourist train that recovers part of the history of the origins of Ushuaia; at the end, they meet the group at the National Park Station. If they don't take the train, there is free time to tour the station and its surroundings.
In Bahia Ensenada Zaratiegui you can appreciate that combination of environments that makes this national park, the Andes, the forest and the sea unique in one place. There also works the famous End of the World Mail where, if it were open, they can stamp their passport or send a postcard from the End of the World.
Also known as Acigami Glacier Lake (Roca), one of the most unforgettable postcards in Tierra del Fuego. We will walk its coast and here you can directly see the political division of the island, as it crosses the meridian that separates us from the neighboring country Chile.
It is a charming bay of the Beagle Channel, combining forest, mountain and sea. Lapataia Bay is the last kilometer of the Pan American route (and Route N°3) that runs from Alaska to the southern tip of this national park representing the arrival at the End of the World.
***IMPORTANT*** In winter season the tour is modified by being closed the Bay Ensenada and some paths within the Park product of the snow

Negatives: if you don't do the train, you waste 2. 5hrs, hanging around while the guide sorts out the train tickets, sees them onboard, you go to a viewpoi t to watch the train poss then park in a car park till the train arrives. Half the tour time wasted and this isn't explained in the itinerary or 'what to expect'. Not the Tierra del Fuego experience that I signed up for. Requested half refund for the half I wasted, but declined. Very poor customer service,. Positives : guide and driver great.
Well origanized, pickup was right on time. Knowledgeable guide and was able to answer all my questions.
A well organised tour, at a very fair price with a guide who was able to seamlessly switch between English, Spanish and Portuguese as necessary. Highly recommend!
It was a good tour with a very fun and knowledgeable guide who spoke multiple languages and knew a lot about the history of park and flora & fauna. I didn't do the train part but we went on several short hikes to see the highlights of the park.
My guide named Alu, who was absolutely fantastic! I did Terre del fuego national park visit with an optional train tour on October 13th, 2026 2 pm. The tour was about 6 hours long. It will take 30 minutes drive fron town center. You need to pay a seperate park entrance fee that tour provider will send you a link that you could pay online. Please note that website is in spanish. The tour company helped to navigate the website. Luckily, we had a small group of 7; thus, we received a personalized attention from Alu which was very personal experience. The tour consisted of multiple beautiful view points with small hiking.
This trip was excellent! Maru was such a wonderful guide. I chose not to go the train and she took me around and told me about sites. Additionally we stopped at all the must see locations in the park. She gave me some great recommendations of things to do for the rest of my time in Ushaia. I would definitely recommend this trip.
The tour was perfectly organized starting with pickup at time and ending with ask for drop off choice. All the main points of national park were observed along with going through the trails. Additional thanks to driver Xavier and guide Lusiano who always gave clarifications and explanations in English given that the group was almost Spanish speaking.
It was great. Good organized tour and professional and friendly guide. I enjoyed the nature in the national park.
We took two tours with this company (one to the national park and one trek to emerald laguna) and both were great. It was small groups with brilliant guides who were knowledgeable, friendly and communicated in Spainish and English. Would recommend them to anyone coming to Ushuaia.
This was such a good morning! We got to the park early, before sunrise, and while some people chose to ride the train, my friends and I did not. Instead, we were taken to a secluded beach for some beautiful movies and sunrise. The rest of the tour was also excellent. Highly recommend!
This tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Ushuaia. We booked the “Tierra del Fuego National Park, Small Groups. Optional Train” tour through Viator, and we were fortunate to have Romina as our guide. Romina spoke clear English, shared interesting facts about the park, and made everyone feel welcome. She took several photos of us and pointed out the best places for pictures. Those small touches made the experience even more enjoyable. Our tour included Bahía Lapataia, Lago Roca, Centro de Visitantes Alakush, the End of the World Train Station, and Tierra del Fuego National Park. Bahía Ensenada Zaratiegui was closed due to snow, so we visited the Alakush Visitor Center instead. We chose not to take the optional train ride. Romina stopped at two scenic viewpoints with beautiful views of the Andes and the Beagle Channel. Those extra stops gave us some of our favorite photos from the trip. A special thanks to our driver as well. He always put safety first. He stopped to install tire chains when the roads became snowy. Every time we got in or out of the van, he placed a sturdy stepping block on the ground. We appreciated his attention to detail and the care he showed for every passenger. If you book this tour, ask for Romina. She and the driver made our day in Tierra del Fuego safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
Had a lovely day from start to finish! Guide Lucas created a fun atmosphere in the group and also speaks great English. Definitely recommend!
Our Guide was franco. He was very efficient, gentle, friendly. We like very much. He explained everything all the time. I think the trip was a little short . The agency realized everything that was proposed.
We had a great guide looking at the forest. I did not take the optional train ride which gave us more time in the forest
This is a great way to discover and explore the national park and learn about it's and Ushuaia's history. My guide Luciano knew the answers to all my questions and was informative and funny. The end of the world train here is optional but I do recommend taking it. We had a few stops along the park with some short walks. All in all I feel I had enough personal time at each stop
A lot of fun packed into a half day tour. We were picked up spot on time from the hotel lobby. I book the wrong day and did not figure it out until the night before. I was able to book for the next morning right in the app. Good job Viator. We opted out of the train. A good call. We got to see a great part of the park, a cool river, and some great birds. The guide's (Sebastian's) English was great. He had strong knowledge of local birds, animals, trees, plants, geographic formations, politics, and was funny in multiple lanuages. The driver, Javier, did fine job. He watched for our safety getting on and off the bus. We covered a lot of ground but did not feel rushed. We had a bunch of Itailns on the bus, so that was a fun bonus.
After my expeditions in Antarctica, I had a day to explore Ushuaia before boarding the plane, The tour Tierra del Fuego was perfect. Juan was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Per previous reviews, I did not take the train option. Our van went into the park alongside the railroad track, so I guessed I did not miss much. I traded it for a beautiful hike, deeper into the park, I enjoyed the park with its different natural beauty from the glaciers. Thank you Juan and Javier for your excellent driving and guiding us through a beautiful national park visit.
Tierra del Fuego National Park is absolutely stunning. Our guide was knowledgeable. The optional ride on the End of the World Train added a unique, definitely worth it if you want something a bit special.
Alo, our guide was great. She answered questions without hesitation and provided much information. Pickup and dropoff were as scheduled. We did not take the train. Those of us who did not take the train enjoyed a pleasant hike along the river.
Tierra del Fuego national park hike was wonderful. Alo our guide and Javier our driver were both great! We learned so much about not only the National park but the history of Ushuaia. Alo was also able to help us get tickets for the Fin del Mundo train which were sold out online. Would recommend to others!
This was a fun trip! We got to walk through the park and we saw other points of interest. We rode the train which was informative. I really enjoyed the Alakush visitors’ center and I loved getting to see the end of the pan-American highway and seeing the post office at the end of the world. It was a great afternoon. I only had one qualm and that was when I went to put my bag on the bus and the tour guide started walking with the group leaving me behind even though I let them know. I had to run to catch up. That park was not cool. I would probably take a half point away for that. But the guide apologized and besides it only lets me either give 4 points or 5. So I’ll go with 5 because the rest of the trip really was that good. It was a full day, we got picked up at 2pm and dropped off at 7:30pm. In my opinion it was the perfect time of day to go. Both the driver and guide were friendly and information was given in Spanish and English.
Interesting history about the area and provides insight and scenic overlooks. We viewed beautiful scenery and historical points of interest
We were taken to spots along the shore and we received an explanation of our location and direction of view. This helped us understand the park and gain an appreciation of its boudaries. We were also taken on a very pleasant nature walk during which we came very close to wild horses. They showed little fear of us, allowing extended photography and video. Very cool. We enjoyed this very much.
The guide was very good. He had to go back and forth between English and Spanish. He was very good at this and covered a lot of information. We only had a few hours so this was the best way to see the park.
Hotel pickup then headed to the park to finalise park tickets for everyone.Three stops over the course of a few hours, and a short hike (not strenuous but did involve some steps) and then the optional train journey (half our group did that and half went by transport and did a mini hike to see a waterfall). We enjoyed the tour a lot. Our guide Mariella was very friendly and informative. The train was ok (an enjoyable enough activity for an hour or so just not really worth the cost).
Great experience. While sadly we had bad weather, it was still a brilliant trip. Our guide was excellent, so friendly and knowledgeable, we really enjoyed learning about the region. The train was touristy, but still enjoyable.
Maru was fabulous and her English is perfect. The park was absolutely gorgeous. Just a note—you still need to go to the train station even if you choose not to take the train, and then pick the group back up about an hour later. There’s a short walk in between.
The tour is just amazing. The guide was really funny and knows everything about the park and Ushuia and can tell a lot about. I totally recommend it!
The tour was amazing, and the guide was so great and funny, he told us about everything and showed the beauty of the park. Totally recommend it!
Took this tour including the train ride. We had fun as we took in the country side.
Beautiful scenery, lots of great places to see! Very easy. On and off the van and optional short walks or the train. Very nice!
Excellent communication from the team before departure, all handled smoothly via WhatsApp. Collection was easy and on time, and we immediately felt in good hands with our guide, Sebastián, and our driver, Luciano — relaxed, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely safe on the road. Guests can choose either to ride the Train to the End of the World or be driven to the end of the line, and the whole process of splitting and re‑gathering the group was seamless. Throughout the visit to the national park, we were given great recommendations for photo stops and short walks, which made the experience feel unhurried and well thought‑out. A very smooth, enjoyable and well‑organised way to explore the park and the famous train.
We really enjoyed our excursion. They have a nice vehicles, they pick up directly at your hotel or Airbnb, and most importantly, they are super friendly and super kind. We really enjoyed spending time with them. A wonderful day spent.
This trip was priceless! Our guide, Luciano was great! As a solo traveler I can say this is s great way to really get to see everything & meet great people along the way! TAKE THE TRAIN!
Amazing wildlife experience in a very beautiful area, stops not too long, easy walks, great guide and a fantastic driver. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour was excellent. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and so warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour. We booked this not thru our ship but privately. I would highly recommend it.
I was on a 12 passenger van with Franco on the microphone. He was very informative with just the right amount of information. We had a nice local snack about 3/4 of the time done. We got to see beautiful lakes, snow capped mountains and lots of vegetation that Franco informed us on all of these. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Great experience! Comfortable van, loved the train ride. Guide was great, friendly and helpful! Would do it again!
Guide was great Company sent the vehicle in time and dropped us on time We had to catch the flight They accommodated to our needs Infact , for a nominal fee , they dropped us at the airport 8 people 8 check in bags 8 carry on bags Thanks
WONDERFUL tour with Amelia as our tour guide & Harvey as our driver. Highly recommend them. We were in a full Toyota van with 10 other guests. Amelia used a microphone which enabled all to hear and she talked and gave lots of information while we were driving between stops in the van. Thr national park has dort roads with a few potholes but Harvey did a great job avoiding them and giving us a comfortable ride. We hiked about 45 minutes up and down a trail that allowed us to see foliage and some wildlife up close. And Amelia again gave us great information along the way. All of us were able to walk it, even some with ambukatiij issues, and she walked slow enough so all could keep up while keeping us moving along. All of us did the optional train ride through the park and it was worth it. It was good to wear winter coats & layers as despite it being sunny, no rain & in the 50s, some areas were very windy and chilly. Van was very modern & comfortable. Would definitely do again.
非常完美的旅行。我们在过程中听到了很多关于动物,植物以及火地岛公园的故事。导游和司机也非常的友好,值得推荐的旅程
We had a wonderful experience learning about the rich nature and history of Tierra del Fuego National Park. Our guide, Maru, was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and she was an excellent guide throughout the tour. In particular, she made a great effort to look for calafate—the blueberry that Ushuaia is famous for—especially for us, and in the end, we were able to find it together. This made the experience even more special and memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ushuaia.
Beautiful park, excellent guide who shared information about the area and was happy to take photographs for us. The train station was nice to visit but we spent a lot of time going to and from the station and waiting to pick up some of our group. We could have spent more time elsewhere in the park instead of having our tour revolve around the train ride that a number of us did not take. We suggest having a separate tour for those wanting to ride the train.
This excursion was excellent. Juliana our guide was extremely knowledgeable and presented information in a very enjoyable manner. She was very enthusiastic about the national park its history and its flora and fauna which made the trip more relatable.
A good overall view of the park with several stops along the way. I would give the optional train ride a miss if we were to do it again.
Nice little tour which would be perfect if an hour or two longer. It would be perfect if they allowed another 20 to 30 minutes at the other stops so you can walk the easy trails a bit further. They were pretty and easy to walk. The tour is constrained by needing to pick up those that chose to do the train ride, and this is the longest stop. Only two of the ten people on this tour did the train ride. So it felt like it was trying to marry two different tours together. Maybe better to split and have one tour where it is just a brief stop at the station for 15 minutes, and add 60-90 minutes split between the other stops. Run a second tour where everyone does the train ride. Maybe alternate days?
We had a fabulous time, our guide was awesome, kind, very knowledgeable, spoke many languages, extremely informative. We really appreciated her.
Great itinerary showing us some main features of the park with a few short walks and plenty of photo opportunities . Driver and guide looked after us well & provided unexpected refreshments towards the end of the tour. Recommend this company.
Great tour. Very well spoken Guide, Luciano. Knowledgable and a Local!!!! Best tour I have done in Ushuia.
