Exactly as advertised. A 4 hour excursion to take in the National Park and a few of its highlights. Very good communication a day before the excursion and clear directions regarding pickup location. Met at 8:00 and we’re on the road by 8:10. Sharing of some history and biology of the Park in route. A no nonsense trip for a very nice price. Good value.

Itinerary
The tour begins at the Ushuaia pier, where our guide will be waiting for you, holding a sign with our company logo. From there, we’ll set off towards one of the most iconic locations in the region. Our journey takes us to a natural reserve situated about 12 kilometers from the city. As we travel through the beautiful landscape, you’ll have the chance to appreciate the unique natural surroundings and learn more about the area’s rich history and ecology. Next, we’ll continue to Lake Roca, a peaceful and picturesque lake surrounded by lush forests and towering mountains. The crisp, fresh air here creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and a deep appreciation of nature’s beauty.
We’ll visit Zaratiegue Cove, a panoramic viewpoint with breathtaking views of the Beagle Channel. This scenic spot is ideal for taking unforgettable pictures and immersing yourself in the stunning landscape of the "End of the World."
We’ll then make our way to the end of the Pan-American Highway, where a sign marks the distance to Alaska—the starting point of this legendary route. This spot offers an excellent opportunity for a memorable photo, capturing the essence of this famous journey.

A wonderful experience. Patricia made sure we all had a fantastic time in a dreamlike setting. I highly recommend it.
The guide language was not English as stated in the description. 12 out of 14 guests understand Spanish and some don't understand English. As a result, the guide used Spanish 75% of the time. It was hard for us to enjoy since we had to concentrate to pick out the spoken English to know what's going on. (When i msg the tour operator after, they brush off saying that they always do bilingual - false advertising) Our original start time was 8am but they were moved to 10am without explanation. It broke our day in the middle so we can't join other tours. This was our 3rd visit to ushuaia. My recommendation is don't book ahead. Just walk off the pier at your convenience and pick the tour you want.
This excursion was just as advertised. There were 14 of us in a mini coach that made several stops at scenic places.
Great small group experience with plenty of time at scheduled stops. Marisol had hands-on information to share during the ride.
We lucked out with good weather which is rare. Enjoyed the tour immensely. Saw the rare woodpeckers and a great many wild horses. Scenery was stunning.
We have enjoyed this excursion. The rain and wind made the experience more challenging. Perfect balance from narration and free time for photos and shopping for souvenirs.
Great tour to see the beautiful park and learn about the area. Our guide was terrific and knowledgeable.
We booked this tour at it was scheduled to depart at 8am however, we were off the ship and waiting at the pick up point 10-15 mins early but there was no sign of the tour guide or minibus. Our tour operator was listed as Pinguinos Expediciones and unlike many other companies, they hadn’t made contact with us before hand. After standing and waiting we received a message from the company at 8.10am telling us that the tour had now been postponed to 11am. As this was listed as a 4-5 hour tour, we questioned how they would get us back to the ship before our all aboard time of 3pm. The company assured us that we would be back in time and that there were also several other people from our ship on the tour. Over the next hour the meeting time changed from 10.45am to 10.30am and then 10.20am. We were then also told that the tour company would now be Best Tour Patagonia and not Pinguinos Expediciones!! The tour eventually departed at 10.30am on a minibus with around 12-15 people. The guide was very good and spoke good English however the whole tour seemed pretty disorganised, some people had pre paid for the national park entrance and some hadn’t. We also discovered that we were the only people who weren’t doing the train ride. We started off driving to the furthest point on the route, Bahia Lapataia, where we had 15-20mins to look around. After that we had to go directly to the train station due to the other passengers having timed train tickets for the 12.30pm “End of the World” train. This meant that we didn’t have time to visit Lake Roca. We were given the option of staying on the bus whilst the others did the train journey however this would have meant hanging around for over an hour with nothing much to see or do so we opted to join the others on the train. To be honest, this really isn’t worth the money, the train is a typical tourist attraction but it moves at walking pace and is vastly over rated in my view. As the train was 15 minutes leaving, we had to jump straight onto the minibus as soon as it arrived in the main station which didn’t allow any time for looking around. With the time now around 2pm, we drove the short distance to Zaratiegue Cove where we were told to be back on the bus for 2.30pm. The drive back to the ship took 30mins which meant that we had no room for error. The bus dropped us off at the parking area outside the dock gates which meant that everyone had to rush to make the 5-6 minutes walk along the pier to the ship. Fortunately the ship’s crew weren’t too strict on timings as we didn’t get aboard until 3.02pm. All in all, we were extremely disappointed with this tour. The only reason I haven’t rated it as one star is because of the tour guide, she was very nice, very helpful and knowledgeable. We purposely booked a tour that left early so that we would have time to spare at the end and wouldn’t have to rush to the ship. There was a distinct lack of communication from Pinguinos Expediciones and I feel that they just bumped us off their tour and handed us to another tour operator. The whole experience ended up being very rushed, we didn’t see everything that we should have seen and essentially the tour consisted of two stops to scenic viewpoints (Bahia Lapataia and Zaratiegue Cove) plus a drop off and pick up at the train stations, that was it! I wouldn’t recommend this tour and would suggest that people seek a more organised and reputable company.
Nice guide and good itinerary but very poor microphone in the bus, it was difficult to understand anything
The tour was not what we booked. We were to be in a passenger van with no more than 12 -15 people and ended up on a bus with people doing the train excursion which we specifically did not want. We were put in a van and after that was full, transferred to a bus, and then went around picking up more people on the bus. At the park we had to wait for the others to get their train tickets and enjoy their ride on the train while the van we were supposed to be in was touring the park. We got to some main points we wanted to see but not the same with a bus load of folks or where the bus can get to vs. the van with a small group. Driver and tour guide were friendly, good and knowledgeable and I would score higher if this was actually the tour we booked.
Despite the very short time we had, we were able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and beauty of Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Patricia was an outstanding and experienced guide who showed us through the National Park. She updated us while we traveled and explained the flora, fauna, history, geology, etc. of the park and Argentina! She took great photos as well!
This was a great excursion from our cruise ship. It used the day well and still left us time to explore Ushuaia upon our return. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The "famous" post office is now closed but you can still get a photo-op and pretend to mail a letter from the end of the world.
Our tour to Ushuaia is an awesome experience! It’s unique adventure to be able to reach the southern most part of the world! Very nice sceneries and excellent narration of our guide about this place. I highly recommend this tour♥️
We were conveniently picked up by our ship in a minibus. The guide, Patricia, was excellent. Her English was really good and the six of us on the tour enjoyed her efforts which kept us amused and interested. We had three principle stops, but her informative description of the geography and history was a real added bonus.
Great tour to see lovely national Park. Guide was excellent at explaining about the park and the fauna and flora
Excellent trip…tour guide Patricia was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. She also was very friendly and great about my limitations Bus driver Estevan was so kind and helpful with assistance of a step and stowing my trolley…rollator walker under the bus, getting it out immediately, offering his arm or hand to assist me
My husband and I did not care for this tour! We thought we had booked the tour for 15 people, but, found out it was for 40 people when we received the What's App message showing a big bus. The highlight is we enjoyed seeing the national park BUT, it was a beautiful day and the bus was HOT! There was no air circulating. Our guide Patricia, did not speak english very well. She was hard to understand on the microphone and most could not hear her. There was more walking on this tour than was indicated in the listing and we were constantly waiting on people to get back to the bus. NO we would not recommend this tour!
It was 4 hours on a dirt road. The scenery for the most part were forest that had been cut with stumps remaining. It was a very hot day and after multiple requests we never had any air, circulation etc. Even a fan blowing through the vents would have helped.
Excellent tour of a lovely National Park. Our guide Patricia and driver Lucas were lovely and very informative about the tour
This was a nice guided ride through the national park. We didn’t pay for the train ride, so most of the time was spent riding on the bus, with ~1 hour spent at 3 scenic sights and ~1 hour at the train station cafe waiting for the passengers that did buy a train ticket. Our tour guide was very nice and shared helpful information.
The park is fairly small but beautiful. Guide was great. Too much time at the gift store :). Great value for the money
Our tour guide Patricia was extremely knowledgeable. She took our group to all of the key sights and showed us best places to capture great photos. She really made the tour. Good information on meeting location provided beforehand.
Interesting excursion- wished we had seen more, perhaps a 20 minute stop in town. Guide was good. Just wished there had been one more hour to see the actual town and get more of the history
Wonderful tour of the park. Patricia was excellent and her English was very good. We saw all the things that were promised and she offered to let folks off in the city if they weren’t ready to go back to the ship. A bonus was taking us to see where the train station was to the end of the world. That was on top of explanations of trees and a random bird that was spotted. Excellent y tour. Learned a lot of the culture and about Argentina.
The park was nice, but I booked this tour because the description claimed a maximum of 15, but we ended up on a bus of 40. Wouldn't have booked it had I known.
The tour bus was not in the best of shape. The windows were foggy for the first portion of the tour so we couldn't see much. The sound system was not working very well so we had trouble hearing the guide and her accent was very marked and combined with the broken sound system we had trouble understanding her. The park itself was very nice with some beautiful vistas.
A lovely experience touring Tierra del Fuego National Park, Vanessa, our guide, was very informative and fun to be with.
We saw trees and a lake. No waterfall or train. The guide was ok, but her English was mediocre. The post office was cool.
The tour was nice. Enjoyed seeing the different areas. The post office was closed which was sad news but the park is beautiful. However, since we booked an English tour, it would have been nice to have a fluent English speaker. She spoke English but not enough to understand questions that were being asked.
Wonderful tour of the sights with many stops to take excellent pictures. Comfortable transportation and timely departure to miss many of the tour buses that followed
Well organized pickup from the tender pier. Nice bus, beautiful scenery, interesting, well organized information.
The scenery in and around the park is not to be missed! Ushuaia is a city you want to explore. A great tour.
The description on Viator said maximum 15 people but it was a bus of 26. We do not appreciate being lied to. We would not have booked this if we had known it would be a bus load:
We booked this excursion as an alternative to a ship excursion. We got a whatsapp message the day before confirming our tour which was reassuring. Our bus and guide were waiting on the pier and left on time. Our guide was very informative and spoke very good English. We seemed to be ahead of the wave of other tour busses and there were many. We were given enough time at each site and saw the sites we were supposed to see. We were given the option to be dropped off at the ship or in town. We thought the tour provided good value and would recommend it if you are visiting Ushuaia
As advertised, the tour enables you to see several areas of the National Park and these areas are pretty (though not spectacular). Our tour encountered 6-7 busses, 6-7 vans, and several taxis at every stop in the park. Also, our guide's English skills were not remotely adequate for a tour guide (though dramatically better than our Spanish!). We'd advise getting an early start and getting a good guide with a car or van.
The tour started 1 hour and 10 minutes late because 14 people waited for 2 late ones. By the time we got to the park everything was full of tourists. We spent most of our time in parking lots on a bus with backup beepers. The guide barely spoke English and I couldn’t understand most of the commentary. I could get an Uber for about 20% of the cost and have a better experience! I contacted the tour operator, no response. No wildlife because too noisy crowds.
This was a memorial trip to the national park Tierra del Fuego. Our guide Sofie exceeded expectations and spoke highly of the history and area. (in 2 languages). The scenery was amazing and the town was great to walk through at the end of the tour. Only slight downside was that 3 ships were in town and the stops got a bit crowded at times.
To be blunt, this was a bad tour and felt really poorly organized. It was basically 3 hours on a bus and maybe an hour of seeing the park total. The tour description was really poor, it says a small tour (no more than 15 people), this was a huge tour (30+) and the guide (Pamela) wasn’t very good. She did not share the same information in Spanish and English and I don’t feel I got much new information at all. Beyond that the reason I picked this tour is because it did not include the train at the end of the world which I was not interested in. About 2/3 of the way through the tour, the guide starts talking about the train and asking everyone to pay in cash if they wanted to go. I did not and so got to take the bus back to the trains last stop and wait an hour for the people on the train to finish. The end of the train was outside the national park and there wasn’t really anything to do besides sit and visit the gift shop. In addition, it felt as if they had grouped many different tours together to fill this giant bus so the guide was constantly needed to check in and get clarification on who had paid for what and was going where. Overall it was very boring and I would not recommend if you actually want to spend time in the national park. Much easier to hire a taxi or Uber and go to some spots yourself.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and he was very attentive to our questions. I would recommend him any day.
The park is beautiful put down your camera for awhile and take it all in. Patricia our guide was wonderful. She is knowledgeable and answers all your questions. We had a small group of 9. We got to some stops before the crowds. End of the World post office wasn't open as we arrived to early but Patricia and and Lucas our driver made a stop on the way out of the park. We were happy our moved our trip from 10am to 8am as Viator was notified of our ship arriving 3 hours early. They let us know before the ship announced it!! She is knowledgeable and answers all your questions.
Great driver and knowledgeable guide. The small group experience made for a great day. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit the park.
The tour guide deserves a higher rating of 5 stars. But the company kept us waiting for another ship to come in (3hrs) and then once the other people arrived kept the ones presigned up waiting while the sold more tickets to fill the bus at a discounted price. Viator reputation suffers because of the tour company
Stops within the park we’re beautiful despite the frequent low clouds and rain. Our guide Estephan was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the park.
Being at the end of the world was cool. Beautiful water scenery. I think we saw more than those who took the overpriced train.
Tour operator was phenomenal. Narrated well along the way, provided details on the park and its rich history. Was excellent on recommendations for local food and shopping.
The hikes and views were beautiful! Sophia, our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. I was the only English speaker in the group, and she made sure that I got the same attention as everyone else. Highly recommend.
Talk about beautiful scenery! We definitely saw it on this excursion. It was lovely doing it with a small group of 5; our tour guide Alexis, was very knowledgeable and had good English too. She even identified several unique birds for us. I’d highly recommend.
Met at the cruise ship as we docked. Guide was informative and great fun.We had plenty of time at each of the locations and as a small group we could all hear her commentary. A great trip - well done Pingues Excursions
