At the beginning of the activity, each person carries a backpack with the inflatable boat, which is light, compact and easy to transport, weighing a total of 6 kg. The trekking is low intensity and lasts 40 minutes. During the walk we crossed through forests and peat bogs, native species of Tierra del Fuego. We arrive at the Mariposa Lagoon where before entering the water we will inflate the boats, prepare ourselves and have an informative talk on safety and rowing technique. The second part of the adventure begins, one hour rowing down the river steering our boat letting ourselves go. We rest on a small river beach where the Laguna Esmeralda stream connects with the Olivia River, where we will have lunch surrounded by nature. In the second part of the route, we cross sections with native forest and bushes on the sides of the river, the landscape that surrounds us is beautiful and our mission is to take care of it, always bringing our waste and everything we see on the side of the river.
A fun tour in a beautiful location. We unfortunately had really strong winds, so it made the low intensity activity into a very difficult one. Still enjoyable, but a physical adventure.
The company was super professional and the activity went smoothly! All the equipment was provided. The group was great and the guide, Ignacio, was outstanding!! The views were wonderful. I give it 5 stars! In my opinion the activity in terms of price was inflated, but that's the new normal with Argentina and specially Patagonia. Every activity, meal or accomodation is incredibly expensive. So the price is aligned with the cost of living.
Absolutely amazing experience. I took my young sons on the trip and they enjoyed it very much. You hike in for about an hour and then inflate your kayak. Then you float/paddle down for two hours. You stop for a delicious lunch on the side of the river. Our guides, Nacho and Valentin, we're super professional, kind, and helpful. A fantastic experience!
Amazing from start to finish. The team was wonderful since I booked with communicating information and what was needed. They came prepared with waterproof pants, gloves, bags, and boots for me to use. Other also used coats. A wonderful option for those who packed light for their travels. Lucia picked me up and we picked up a couple, just the three of us. It was intimate and Lucia had lots of information to share about the area. The lunch was wonderful, views incredible, company fantastic. Would go on this trip multiple times if I was here again.
The views were stunning. The river is slightly simpler than I am used to but it's worth it to see all the views. I had almost no difficulty on a Spanish tour with very limited Spanish abilities. It was a struggle to find an activity that starts sufficiently early here that is a true half day, but I'm really glad I found this one in order to see the other side of the mountains in Ushuaia! We finished in 4 hours.
Hands down one of my most favorite experiences! No crowds. Just us, the river, and the majestic scenery! We hiked 40 minutes to a place upstream. Pumped up our rafts. Got training and guidance on controlling our rafts. Then we rafted/floated down this beautiful river. It was magical and a ton of fun!
We have kayaked and canoed in many places, but this was a unique on-the-water experience. We never would have been able to do this on our own. What made this unique was that we were all alone in the wilderness. It was really fun to row our inflatable boats with the current. It even took a little skill, though anyone could learn. We went with our 2 twenty-something kids, but I bet kids 10 and up would have a great time. This trip would have been somewhat more challenging if it was raining or windy from the south. I highly recommend this trip! And we loved our guide, Lucia.
Definitely a must do at the End of the World! We didn’t have high expectations. This trip was an afterthought after we booked a cruise to Antarctica. Why not do something before the cruise? We were swept away with the majesty of the mountains and surreal scenes of nature. Our tour guide, Ignacio, however, stayed fully grounded while he expertly navigated us through a truly magickal experience. His exceptional delivery of service and heart inspired hospitality are unmatched. We looked at a lot of tours and something about this one stood out. Magick? Maybe. But definitely an out of this world experience at the end of the world!
We had a wonderful experience floating down the river. Spectacular views, very friendly guide. One of us was in a double raft with our nine year old daughter. Highly recommend!

Beautiful experience, the rafting is quiet, I went in May and there is the river a little frozen which got more fun 😁. For me, things are generally easy or fun. So rowing against the wind in the lagoon the butterfly and over the river Olivia was not easy, but fun. Walking with the boat in tow was not fun, but Leo made the hike much easier by providing color data, his experience and especially always involved in the landscape. I know that no one asked my advice, but if you are in Ushuaia and tired of your legs hurting so much walking, try paddling with Táun so you also end up with arm pain! The packrafting in rio olivia was amazing, there was Trekking to the butterfly lagoon, going down a path with a beautiful landscape with many trees and the view of the mountain range. When we reached the lagoon, it snowed and that made the experience even more beautiful. I read our coordinator a genius, always very attentive. The experience was a 10/10. Super recommended!!

I did the Packrafting tour, as well as experience Ojo Del Albino with Taun Ushuaia and the experiences were simply amazing! From the first contact, the team demonstrated total attention, care and professionalism. The guides are extremely prepared, experienced and very cordial, passing us safety throughout the journey, as well as sharing valuable information about nature and the region. The supplied equipment was in excellent condition, and it was very nice to see the care with every detail to ensure our comfort and safety. It was great! They pick you up at the accommodation and drop you off on the way back. It's a cute activity for people with no rowing experience. Trekking is short and easy too. Ignacio a crayon, was telling us a bit the story of the place, super friendly and attentive. Includes a sandwich (you have to choose the option) and for dessert an alfajor by the river! And on top of that cooked matte, which comes barbaric for the cold. Super recommended. Thank you Rodrigo also for the attention and kindness from the beginning.

I found it a very nice experience and a different proposal to make in Ushuaia, combining hiking and rafting along the Olivia River. The difficulty is low and the experience is complete, from carrying the boats in the backpack, inflating and arming them, the rowing activity itself, the hike through those incredible landscapes. I had a great time and it was really fun. Leo, our guide, the group and the weather, gave a bonus to the activity. I recommend it 100%.
