Very nice trip with good view of nature. The road is not a difficult but is muddy and need wear high water proof shoes. The guide is professional and friendly.

Itinerary
In the morning, our adventure begins with hotel pickups from selected Ushuaia locations, marking the start of our exciting journey.
We will embark on a minibus journey covering approximately 20 km to reach the Tierra Mayor Valley, a hub for various excursions. Our destination is the Nunatak refuge, situated in this picturesque valley. Starting our trek from the refuge, we will traverse through peat bogs, streams, and the ancient forests of Lengas and Coihues, showcasing the typical vegetation of the region. And if we are lucky, we may even encounter local wildlife, including foxes, condors, and beavers.
We will continue our trek until we reach the captivating Emerald Lagoon, located at the heart of the Tierra del Fuego Nature Reserve and Landscape. The unique color of the water, along with its strategic location in the Cordillera Fueguina, invites us to pause along its shores, taking in the beautiful scenery. It's at this point that we'll be provided with our Lunch Box, allowing us to savor our meal surrounded by the natural beauty. Upon concluding our time at the lagoon, we'll make our way back to the Nunatak refuge, following a different path from our initial route. This allows us to further explore and appreciate the diversity of the reserve.
From the refuge, we'll board the minibus for a comfortable return to our hotels by approximately 4:00 pm, bringing our journey to a close.

Tour was executed in a timely manner. Our guide Amaya was very knowledgeable and she covered a lot of things while we hike up to the lagoon. We had enough time at lagoon to take pictures and enjoy the beauty. Lagoon is a beautiful spot and a must visit for tourist to Ushuaia.
Incredible day hike, with unforgettable views and people. Must do while in Ushuaia. The guides are very knowledgeable about their surroundings and the areas rich history
Guides were amazing and patient. The guides were friendly knowledgeable and helpful to non Spanish speakers. The hike was educational and fun. It was not a challenging hike but it was a fun hike. Views were great.
Weird weather struck on our hike, including snow and freezing rain. Our guide provided us with extra rain gear and lead us through the unexpected summer weather safely and efficiently. A memorable hike and a fun experience.
So glad I did this as a tour and not on my own! It was super soggy so the Wellingtons they provided were perfect (wear thick socks for more comfort). You also get to see more of the country with a guide since you don’t come back the same way as going in. The guides speak English although I feel the two of us who spoke English didn’t get as much background info but that was okay. It took two hours longer than expected because of the ground and our group so expect delays.
This is a 10km (6 miles) round trip hike up to the Emerald Lagoon, which is absolutely beautiful. However, the 10km belies the fact that for most of it you are slugging through peak bogs and mud, which makes the 10km seem like 20km. Additionally, the last third is at a 20-25 degree slope. If you do not have water proof high top hiking boots I would not recommend you try this. Several people (including our two guides) had rented Wellingtons, which are better for the mud, but don’t appear to give you the same foot support. Also, I would recommend you bring your own trekking polls. Our tour guides gave each person one pole, which is better than none at all. Fortunately, I had my own pair, which gave me added stability as you try and leap over streams, mud, and peat pools. The lagoon is very beautiful as it is nestled under two mountain peaks and a glacier. Our tour group, Pira Tour, provided a nice picnic lunch up at the lagoon, and our two guides were excellent.
Valerie was a fantastic guide. The tour ran perfectly and I can highly recommend this tour :) Great hike and really good experience
You have to know that the soil is very wet but the trekking is a good one with beautiful landscapes with beaverdams and very good description by our guide Violeta.
Stunning views would highly recommend this activity. The guide and company was friendly and so happy that I went in a group rather than do it on my own. On time for pick up and provided a great lunch. Guide was full of lots of information, I was the only english speaking person but was still looked after and the guide made everyone feel welcome. Would high recommend this even on a cloudy day easy walk no to hard. Would were trekking shoes or something similar.
Excellent activity with stunning views. The guides were friendly and we hiked at a nice pace. Highly recommend.
The guides with this company were great! I didn't want to hike this trip alone, being in a foreign country and not knowing the language, so I'm glad I went with a tour group. The guides were great and the other people in the group were fantastic as well, so welcoming!
The scenary is amazing and our guide was so funny and nice. However it should be better described because the trail is really not suited for everyone. It is said to be easy but is not. There is difficult forest walk and most of all lots and lots of mud. The scenaries are worth the fatigue but people should be more aware
Our trek to see Emerald Lake started out on a cold gray day. Before long we experienced a snowstorm which transformed the whole tour into a winter wonderland it was absolutely amazing our guide was the best ever. He was very accommodating and very thoughtful.

Beautiful trekking moment. Approach to the lake is long, sometimes the walking may be made difficult depending on wet conditions on the ground, but with the special boots provided, everything is much enjoyable. Our guide was a great man, very eager to show us all aspects of the surrounding nature. Reaching the goal, Emerald Lagoon, is so rewarding. We appreciated the story about the Canadian beavers brought to Terra del Fuego!

I can't believe how expensive tours for this are- that's crazy! Rent a car for cheap and head there on your own! Lots of beautiful places to stop and take pics along the drive. There is no cost to enter the trail area either. Just park in the lot and follow the cute little blue arrows along the trail - impossible to get lost.

It was a miserable day, cool, rainy and windy. Still, we managed to do the tour. We were supplied with tall rubber boots, essential for walking in the peat areas. It was interesting to see the impact beavers were having on the ecology. Our guide was very informative and had a great sense of humor. The beautiful emerald lagoon nestled between the mountains with glaciers was amazing. Nice tour.

Great hike with amazing scenery. Tour guide was informative and helpful.

nice and easy trip to participate - beautiful scenery nature a bit overpriced especially in comparison to other activities that you can book in Ush for 100, the provided snack/lunch was nothing to write home about...

This was a great trek. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the natural environment and spoke very good English. The trek was a little more strenuous than I though, but we also had a very windy and snowy day. A great tour to really see nature and have more solitude than some of the other tours offered in the area. The pick-up was on schedule and boots provided were perfect for our trek through peat bogs, mud, rocks, etc. Really enjoyed this adventure!

Quiet walk in the snow and absolutely rewarding. We were lucky to catch snow on the road that made all the difference. Wonderful landscape on the way and when you get to the lagoon the feeling is indescribable. We were offered delicious snack and soup. Our guide Sonia was exceptionally dear and attentive. A fox was waiting for us in the snow! A gift! Immense gratitude to be able to live moments like what we are living. Nice walk
All frozen then is called WHITE LAGUE. It is necessary to put chains of crampons on the shoe. Track average difficulty. It can be done on the ground but I indicate Agencia as it is an isolated place (no cell phone) and the weather can snow or rain without notice. Agency took 2 guides with the group and we had to sign Termo Responsibility, so it's the tip. It's not that simple! Spectacular place and walking through the woods.
Wonderful and challenging walk, with unique landscapes. The best part is when you arrive at the emerald lagoon, which is beautiful, breathtaking. The tour requires trekking shoes and warm, waterproof clothing. Walking time is around 5 hours, so be prepared
The incredible place. Spectacular journey. The bad thing, do not use the purchase route because even though they tell you without taxes, they charge you in dollars, since it is paid in Argentina. That route they offer here is a total scam.
New experience, you should be prepared with comfortable trekking clothing and footwear. Juan, the very cool and helpful guide.
The walk is beautiful and very well organized. It is difficult for a person who does not play sports, they minimize it but at times you have a hard time if you are not in good physical condition.
The excursion was incredible and Diego the guide was a genius, all the time attending to different needs. I use and recommend 100%
One of the places that have impressed me the most, is a small place with many places where you can make excursions either by land hiking or by sea, if you plan to visit Argentina it is worth considering Ushuahia.
Excellent and unmissable. The lagoon is beautiful and I was lucky enough to make the trail on a day of full sun, with the water showing that color that makes it so special. All right, Juan, the guide.
I would make that beautiful hike back to the Emerald Lagoon, the weather of the moment did not allow to see that emerald green color but I have the best memory.
It is an excursion that no one, considering its possibilities, should stop doing. We went with Rodrigo as a guide, from the Penguins Enterprise, the best guide away!!!, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable of the place and with a map, which he could make available so that we could understand, where we were. Attentive to every doubt or need, good photo shooter, and gift us a toast with chocolate when arriving at majestic place. It is a long walk, at least two hours, it is not a condition to be an athlete to be able to do it, each at its own pace, can be part of that impressive place. We hit a lagoon completely covered in ice, but it leaves you breathless, so much natural beauty. The right footwear is essential to enjoy without risk.
Very good trek very easy and beautiful Guides very attentive to make us have the best time possible and take paths evitando the crowd. Indeed this hike is one of the most beautiful in the national park and therefore quite popular Muchas gracias Gabriel y Juan!
It's an impressive excursion. Trekking is of moderate difficulty, not impossible if you have acceptable fitness. The view from the.laguna is a wonder you won't forget.
Very nice experience the trekking surrounded by snowy mountains until you reach the beautiful Lake Esperanza (it is about 4km). We could not appreciate the emerald green in its vastness as the lake was Covered by an ice sheet but it was still worth it. The climb is of medium complexity (requires to be in good physical condition). It is advisable to do so with guidance. There's mud.
We decided to hire a tour through Latitude Ushuaia with a guide. While the road is marked, it is a tranquility for those who do not know, to be guided and informed of all the things seen on the ride. It is of medium difficulty and it is necessary to have trekking shoes even if many do not. Enterprise gives canes and refreshments to replenish the reach of the lagoon. We were fortunate to have Luciano who cared all the time for us, helped us every time we needed, made us arrive on time for the next excursion, took pictures of us, all with kindness and patience. The photos of course do not capture the totality of the beauty one sees on the excursion.
Nice hike up the mountain until you reach the Emerald Lagoon. The views are unforgettable. It's about five km out and about as many back. The agency gives you lunch food, a sandwich, water, alfajor and apple. They also provide you with trekking sticks to make climbing easier. I would have liked to stay a little longer in the Lagoon.
A place they can not miss in Ushuaia. Nearby, it is accessible to do it on your own with auto or remis. The walk in our experience has low and medium difficulty sections. Regarding the distance we traveled, our record indicated 5.8 km for the outbound and similar when returning. The path through the forest is perfectly marked with blue square indicators of approximately 10x10 cm placed on the trunk of some trees at an approximate height of 2.50 m. When you reach the turbal, you must cross some small watercourses that force you to take different paths in a low and flat area. It is necessary to wear boots above the ankles. Since in the turbal it is inevitable to sink up to 25 cm and get wet. If there were previous rains there will also be quite a lot of mud on the forested path. Arriving at the emerald lagoon after this journey and discovering its beauty is more than just reward for the effort that will have to be made. For the full time of the excursion is between 4 and 6 h total (round trip). Depending on physical condition. The stay in the lagoon is usually between 45' and 1 1 1/2 hours. The young people usually do it in 4h plus the stay in the lagoon. In our case it took us just over 5h with 45' stay to eat something, drink some bitter mattes and delight in the natural beauty of the landscape. It is a place that can be done without complexity and you should not miss it!
Trekking very nice and not particularly challenging. You just have to be careful about quicksand (however non-deadly) and wildlife that also includes pumas (they do not attack humans generally)!
No need for guide, round trip transportation with easy taxi.well marked and lots of people.not dangerous to get lost.
Divine scenery, beautiful road, it's about two hours long but it's worth it I went with boys of 8 and 10 years, you have to take to moisturize se, waterproof sneakers and whatever you want to eat you go through wetlands full of mud, the road is simple!
Great tour, a sensational trail, the guide has a lot of knowledge which makes it more fun. The return was on an alternative route. You can't miss this tour while in Ushuaia.
The trail is long but very worth it...we went without a guide and did td sure there are several people on the trail so if you get lost it is easy to find as it was in our case...on the way you see many river forests until you get to the most beautiful view of the emerald lagoon...worth it!! If you take a taxi, match the return time and it will be there waiting for you. The price is tabulated.
It is an excursion to enjoy from the beginning to the end. 5 km outbound and 5 km back, with some difficulty walking on peat, exposed tree roots and stones. It is advisable to have some training for walking and footwear according to the terrain. Surprising the action of beavers in nature and not exactly for good. As you go along the landscape changes, the mountain approaches and the colorful stream peeks with its color. But upon reaching the lagoon, the landscape is incomparable, majestic and unique!! The guides Reuben and Sabrina of Pinguinos Expeditions make the tour enjoyable and very entertaining!! To come back!!!
The one way tour is wonderful xq one goes into the forest and the feeling is very nice. But then it turns into something untoward: crossing muddy paths between rocks and bare roots, peat soils where it is easy to sink and muddy, and a lot of steep climbing. Mind you, you're bordering a beautiful creek that gets flowing as you go up. Already up behind a hill you find the Emerald Lagoon. Literal that color. There the site invites you to contemplate that incredible water mirror. When I returned I found little signage. I had to follow other people for fear of missing out. The descent is also winding and you have to deal with the changing climate: sun, rain and hail! I liked the experience and lived it with emotion but it requires a good physical state and a lot of desire to live the blessedness.
Tour must-see and should not get out of your schedule. The place is beautiful! But be prepared. Comfortable boots are essential as the walk is long. We went along with a small group with a guide, which I found very good, because when we arrived at the lake, after 2:30 walk, we were offered a snack (cheeses, breads and a soup of lentils), plus drinks, including wine, which was great! Super recommend this tour!
The tour was supported by two guides who were very important and helped everyone a lot. The reserve is very beautiful and we were lucky to cross with a fox that carried like a star. Unfortunately the beauty of the lagoon was damaged because there was a lot of snow on the site and so it was frozen. I believe that with good weather the tour should be very interesting
It is a very well organized tour with experienced hiking guides. Definitely worth the money. Only at the beginning of November is the lagoon still partially frozen and not yet its typical emerald green color, which does not harm the overall experience at all.
Não conseguimos ver a Lagoa. A água estava congelada. Os guias Gabi e David foram bem legais e muito atenciosos.
