Departure from the hotel by minibus by land (20 kms) to the Tierra Mayor valley. From the Nunatak refuge we start the walk during which we cross túrbales, streams and centuries-old forests of Lengas and Coihues. The possibility of spotting foxes, condors and beavers is always latent.
The Esmeralda Lagoon is located in the heart of the Tierra del Fuego Natural and Landscape Reserve, the color of its waters and its geographical location in the middle of the Fuegian mountain range invites us to stop, rest on its shores while we taste our snack.
Once the experience is over, we begin our return to Ushuaia, and we estimate the arrival time at 1:30 pm.
Easy trek in a wonderful landscape. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Pick-up was in due time and well prepared with good information. Good snack and hot drinks.
Beautiful hike thru the forest. Easy to moderate walk. We were the only couple with our guide Daniel so it became a personal tour. He took many alternate routes to show us a variety of landscapes, vegetation and wildlife. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended
Actually, because of the bad weather, they canceled the trip. But where is my refund? The front desk told me that they would process the refund, but I have never received it after so long. I don't have time to process it further.
Beautiful hike, it was a holiday, so the main trail was busy, but we returned via a secret route that was different and beautiful. Good trekking gear is important! Dress on layers as it was hot, cold, windy, and rainy in the same 10 minutes! Wonderful hike with Daniel
They should rename it Laguna Esmeralda with lunch because that seemed like a lunch they gave us, not no snack, which is what we needed after that hike. That was easy and difficult at the same time. I say easy because you just need to know how to hike and difficult because it's long and rainy. But in the end, it's so worth it. Laguna Esmeralda is beautiful, and you feel great after you accomplish the hike after each hike. I feel. Every corner we took, we kept taking more and more photos. The scenery was breathtaking. Even in the cold and rain, we kept on trucking, and you wouldn't even know it in our smiles in our photos!
Long but nice hike. Guide could speak more in english. It would be more helpful for english tourists. We were only 2 english speakers in our tour so he spoke spanish mostly and we had to keep asking questions.
Great experience; we did go during spring which was muddy but we were able to rent snow pants and brought hiking books which were great.
Personalmente tenía 2 paradas Una en calafate y después ushuaia Y me contacte con alguien de ushuaia y cuando le pregunte por si tenia en calafate me resolvió la vida realmente!!! Me hizo todo el presupuesto y las excursiones en base de los dias que estaríamos en cada lugar, no tuve que preocuparme por nada! Y esa era la idea, ir a disfrutar. Luego tenia el tema de comida ya que venía en 2 excursiones incluida y mi pareja es vegetariana e intolerante a la lactosa y legumbres; fueron super responsables y cuidadosos con ello! Asi que un 10 para ustedes! Los guías que nos tocaron unos genios, siempre atentos, respetuosos e informando todo lo del lugar donde estábamos que es muy importante mas alla de la vista, saber la cultura sus flora, fauna y geografía. Excellent excursion, more than recommended. First because they take you along a different route than all tourists, allowing you to see other landscapes and live a different experience. The guide we loved, we gave us many plus thanks to its preparation. And to close we could pay in installments without interest!! Anything else? Yes the Lunch very rich and very useful to conserve plasma volume when trekking.
We hired excursion to Laguna Esmeralda with Kaitek. With German's advice. The mountain guide, Daniel, very responsible, knowledgeable, affable, guided us all the way with so much attention to the road that on this day there were stretches with snow, mud and ice, placed grasses so that there were no accidents. Contemplate the whole landscape, share a delicious esnak and talk very enjoyable. Super recommended

From the beginning and thanks to an excellent explanation from the German Guide about the histotis of the place to visit, which makes you fall in love with the whole of southern Argentina and then a wonderful trecking through those forests of lengas, the burrows and the work of the beavers, the immense world reserve of fresh water and all that immensity of a very beautiful landscape between snow and rocks until you reach the beautiful Emerald Lagoon ka that we walk through its frozen surface!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
An unforgettable experience, connects you to nature and leaves you speechless. Germán’s accompaniment was fundamental, impossible to do alone. It's an adventure in a fairytale landscape. Drinking something warm in the frozen lagoon, while surrounded by snow-capped mountains and listening to the silence of nature is an incredible experience.
