We had a fantastic day in this beautiful place at the end of the world. Gaby (Gabriel) was the best guy and his English was perfect. We were treated to beautiful scenery, historical and all the info on the nature of the area. We had a yummy lunch highlighted by local king crab. We will definitely be back in touch when we return. Can’t wait!

Itinerary
From the company's main office, we started the tour of the hotels.
Country breakfast! After traveling National Route 3, at 35km we will have the intersection with Provincial Route J, which will take us for another 40km through the forest and accompanied at all times by the Lasifahsaj River. Our destination: Laguna Victoria. From that, we are going to have our country breakfast here, in an ancestral place, full of the history of our indigenous peoples. This lagoon that freezes in winter, and throughout the year it is an excellent natural site.
We will descend at this panoramic point to be able to contemplate the beauties of the surroundings, nature, and the energy of the ancestral environment we will be traversing. Ideal spot for panoramic photos or simply enjoying the peace of the natural environment.
The Centolla Route is one of the most interesting and captivating circuits on the planet, given the combination of exquisite dishes made from fresh seafood and king crab, with dazzling landscapes, where the forest penetrates the Beagle Channel in an exciting and whimsical way. Puerto Almanza is a small fishing village located on the east coast of the Beagle Channel, 75 km from the city of Ushuaia. The name of the place comes from a sawmill that operated in the area between 40 and 50. Upon arriving at the town, we are going to walk and contemplate the beauties of the place. We will get to know the local port and the cannons that were installed in front of Puerto Williams. Then we will start to travel the Centolla Route, until we reach our descent point to begin a beautiful hike
We will have the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Tierra del Fuego, from a trail for all public, in the middle of the river and the lenga forest. Unmissable walk for the whole family and friends.
From the sea to the table! After our walk, lunch will be waiting for us at one of the most picturesque restaurants in Puerto Almanza, in front of the port, along the Beagle Channel, with the best views in the area. Now you can taste the Fuegian Centolla in any of its versions, accompanied by fresh seafood and fish, obtained artisanally in the canal. Three-course menus are offered at the restaurant, already included in the experience, based on local fish and lobster included in the menu. If you want, you can also have the whole centolla served on the plate for an extra cost. The best part of the gastronomic experience is that you can enjoy the anecdotes and personalized attention of the owners themselves, who are local artisanal fishermen.
Let's go to the Flag Tree! One of the most beautiful sites on the route we travel is the "Flag Tree," characteristic of the area, since they grow modeling their development according to the region's wind. Here we can take photos of the famous tree, and enjoy the best panoramic photos of the islets, as well as the Beagle Channel and Chilean Islands.
Once in Ushuaia, we will transfer our travelers to their respective accommodations. We await you for the next Adventure!

A really enjoyable day out, engaging and interesting guide, good company and a super meal of Ceviche, Mussels and King Crab.
Amazing tour with my family. Guided by Gabriel, that gave us many aspects of Ushuaia hystory, enviroment and nature. Special centolla lunch. Thanks a lot
The Ruta de la Centolla - King Crab tour was very good. Gabriel - Gaby was an excellent guide. He shared a lot of interesting information about the natural environment. His English was excellent. The seafood was delicious. I enjoyed the tour. Thank you, Kim China- USA January 8, 2026
A longish but interesting drive through mountains, forest, and seashore with several small stops and side trips, the highlight being a meal made by a small family restaurant based on crab dishes
We went in the crab tour with Bryan and Luis and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately I felt rather ill but the care and attention that was given to without loosing site of the job at hand was tremendous. Thank you guys for all the good care. I recommend Bryan and Luis for the crab tour, or any excursion in Ushuaia for that matter because they made me feel like one of the gang.🙏👍💪
Can share more about the fishing village, or even add some hands on experience of fishing or catching the crab. The food from the restaurant is marvellous.
Nice interesting trip but the car’s seats were not comfortable because we were picked up late than the others who already chose the better ones.
Tour reasonable but the highlight for us was to taste the local crab…the meal was disgusting. The mussels were from a bottle, and the crab gratin was frozen bits of crab in a terrible vinegar watery sauce…inedible. A slice of focaccia was the only redeeming feature. Told us crabs were out of season…so don’t do this tour out of season….
Nice to get out if Ushuai & see the country, however value for money - poor : / Food was disappointing, small portions & lots of orange peel?! We have never paid so much for a day out & we were really looking forward to a delicious experience, left feeling flat & ripped off
A good day tour from Ushuaia to see the neighbouring fishing village. Our guide Lucas was great and his description in both English and Spanish was very helpful. The 4 course lunch meal was good, just the main crab meal was not as spectacular as the tour name suggests.
It was a little confusing but the translator was very nice to answer questions. The lunch was fantastic. Enjoyed the day and everything was beautiful
We had an amazing day and Adam was an excellent guide. He gave as a lot of interesting information about the nature and animals especially the different birds in this area. His English was very good and he was very nice and a good driver. The car was comfortable and the food very delicious. We would highly recommend the tour and Adam as a tour guide. We would do the tour again. Everything worked very good and communication for the pick up was easy. Thanks a lot!
Lukas the guide was very friendly and informative about the area. Altogether a very enjoyable and worthwhile excursion. And the lunch was delicious too.
Very well done. Excellent local lunch!! Tour guide provided great narration Only minus was a crowded SUV with two passengers constantly talking that made what the tour guide was saying VERY hard to hear!
Great day trip to Puerto Almanzos with Santi. He was a great guide during the whole trip but also a great driver as conditions were a bit tricky because of icy roads. The food at the restaurant was also really good.I would definitely recommend this day trip for people who are looking for exploring the area and having an amazing lunch in the port.
Not worth to do. The road is in gravel full of holes and dangerous driving. Arrived there is nothing worth to see. A total lost of time and energy
Our guide Lucas was fantastic, Very knowledgeable and great driver. Food was a bit average, but filling. Great sights, loved the flat trees, and morning tea stop at the lake.
Anything “Crab” or “Crab Route” was never mentioned on this tour! You would have thought it was a nature drive with photo ops…and lots of dead time at each stop. We experienced a crab dish at late lunch, which was unremarkable, but other than seeing some sad crab traps trashed on the side of the road we learned nothing about the crab route. Morrisimo was our guide who decided that escorting a group of locals in a car behind us to photograph some type of commercial was his real reason to be there. Instead of spending time explaining what we were experiencing, he spent half his time chatting with them in another area away from his paying guests. When he wasn’t doing that he spent the entire ride back from lunch talking in Spanish to the man next to him at the exclusion for anyone else to ask anything. I would give this tour one star except for the pretty vistas we got to see. I would not recommend this tour.
Excellent experience and our guide Matias had a great personality. We had an amazing walk and good food. Totally recommended.
Brilliant! Driver/Guide Matty knowledgeable, accommodating, safe. Beautiful stops for brunch, stunning waterfall walk even saw a beaver working on the way home. Highly recommended! ,
The trip was fantastic. With only 2 other people, our guide Matheus catered for both Spanish/Portuguese & English. He provided wonderful local knowledge throughout the trip. Lunch at Port Almanz was wonderful - mussels, giant crab (gratin) & dessert. Was very good. Definitely a worthwhile day trip
This was a wonderful day. Lucas our guide was very personable and had good English. He explained the culture as well the landscape and wildlife. We stopped for pics of interesting sights as well for snacks. Yummy Miele Luna croissants and hot chocolate! Then he took us to Almanza for lunch at Akun. What an unexpected oasis! Delicious food prepared hot and fresh with great service and modern decor. Loved it! Lucas then zipped us back to make the cruise boat in time all the while sharing interesting stories and his love for his home town Ushuaia. 10 out of 10. Thanks Lucas!
A nice way to see something outside of Ushuaia. However this tour is WAY overpriced for what you get.
I booked this trip many months ago. I contacted the tour operator to ask if the trip could be made if we arrived the day of the excursion by cruise ship. I was assured that was possible. I remained in contact with the tour operator including the day of the excursion. The ship docked on schedule, and I was prepared to disembark as quickly as possible and emailed the tour operator what was happening. The tour operator finally informed me that they could not wait for me and departed before I could get off the ship. I asked if I would get a refund and was told that the tour owner would make that decision. The tour was scheduled for March 1, 2023. I have sent several messages via email to the person I had been contacting and asked about my refund request. It is now March 13, 2023 and I have not received any response for the tour operator or owner. I will be contacting Viator today to place a complaint and request a full refund. Very disappointing. All contact up to the day of the trip had been very good and very helpful. We hope that those who made the trip had a wonderful experience.
Great trip and fantastic guide Nicolas. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and had perfect English. We were fed 'like kings': cocoa and donuts first thing and a three-course meal with crab for lunch. Good times and thank you!
Fabulous from start to finish. Germán was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable, enthusiastic and keen to ensure you enjoyed the day. It was great to see to the east of Ushuaia. 5 people in a comfortable 4x4. So nice to be on a small tour (10 people in total).
Nice drive through Tierra del Fuego to experience such a unique landscape. We also saw condors. The food at the crab fishing village - Almanza - was fantastic too. The guides were friendly and took great care of us. We had booked this from US but the same tour could be booked much cheaper if you directly book while in Ushuaia.
Luca drove our small group of 5 skillfully through the mountain route3 and then on the dirt road "J" to Lamanza. The stop for a "snack" at the lake was fun and a lovely location. The lookout for our first real expansive view of the Andes was appreciated. When we finally arrived (it was a bit of a trek) at Lamanza, we dined at a wonderful restaurant with a great view, delightful staff and a delicious and generous lunch. We had a whole bowl full of king crab already shelled placed in front of each of us. Lunch was followed by a short hike 15-20 min uphill to a small waterfall. L uca had one more surprise for us and that was a brief stop for a tasting of fruit infused gin. It was a long day, but varied. Luca was wonderful, answered all questions, and offered a hand as needed on the hike. Well done.
Based on other accounts back at the ship, this trip was much better than the other shore excursions. First the crab was incredible. There was a huge plateful of delectable crab. The beer was great. Atmosphere fun. We didn’t need to go into the actual Park to see the mountains and rivers. We also stopped for a snack. The got us back to our ship in time! Some vehicles had microphones but ours didn’t. That would be my only suggestion. Prior to booking, I saw this got a 5 star rating and I understand why!! Guides were personable! Love Ushuaia! Love little fishing village!! (I was worried I wouldn’t see Park but they drove us to parts nearby that are more remote, but not deserted!).
Make sure, especially if you are on a ship, that the DRIVER knows when the ship is departing. We shared that information up front, but it didn’t filter down to the guys actually doing the work. Made for a NASCAR style return to port😳
My guide Lukas was very good. I was a little shocked the night before my tour to be asked whether I can change the trip to the day after even though I booked and paid the trip way ahead. Fortunately, I was able to confirm it after 11 pm, a bit too late to change anything. I am glad they kept the promise finally.
This was not a memorable experience. The guide was not qualified. He was supposed to interpret what the driver was explaining but was confused most of the time. He admitted so himself.
Due to unforeseen circumstances our guide had an emergency so our driver filled in along with a “translator” who was nice enough but not particularly knowledgeable. The trip started late, an advertised waterfall hike was unavailable, and while the meal was good it was an expensive ride for crab. We would have been better off eating in Ushuaia.
Virginia is a great guide. She is interested by the people she meets, interesting by the conversations she fuels and most of all, dedicated to her craft, which is to offer the best experience possible to anyone wanting to know more about the beautiful region of Ushuaia.
David and Lucas were awesome guides and very much fun to spend the day with . Everything was perfect.
The guide and lunch were excellent. The crabbing was unfortunately closed, for reasons beyond the control of the operator.
Enjoyed the ride, the walk along the coast with campfire and snack, and the walk to the waterfall ...German was very patient with an old 77 man as we walked and at times I went "skiing" along the slopes. The highlight was meeting again our friend the Chef (we had dinner last night) who prepared another fabulous meal - empanadas, fish with potatoes and unbelievable vegetables...dessert his flan - a real winner!!!! It was sad to leave our new friend...during our trip, our driver navigated some places and bridges...I do not know how...German is a great and gracious host and teacher - I learned a lot listening to him. THANK ALL OF YOU FOR MAKING OUR STAY IN USHUAIA A GREAT MEMORY...LJS
Very good full-day 4x4 excursion The driver and guide Pancho is a phenomenon; he is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna!! The driver of the other 4x4, Diego, was very cordial and a good translator for English!!!
The experience was spectacular; our guide Gabriel is a Michelin-star guide! Very knowledgeable, he provided us with information of great interest and made our day an unforgettable one. Puerto Almanza is a beautiful place of much history and splendor. The restaurant we visited, La Sirena y el Capitán, was excellent; the food, the service, in short, quite an experience. I definitely recommend the tour.
A fantastic experience! The guide, Diego, excellent! He picked us up promptly, always attentive to our needs, answering questions, and his explanations were very clear; we were 3 retired adults, we felt very well taken care of. The coffee with croissants while enjoying the peace of Victoria Lagoon, very good, the climb to the Duende waterfall was challenging but wonderful, and lunch at La Sirena y el Capitán, delicious! We shared the 4x4 with an American woman who was also very cool. It was the best excursion we did on this girls' trip to the fantastic city of Ushuaia!!
Beautiful experience led by Diego where he took us through beautiful landscapes, with great kindness and knowledge of the place. We felt very well taken care of when we did the hike to the Duende Waterfall, since we are older people and the path can be risky. We ate at the restaurant "La Sirena y el Capitán," where we tasted delicious dishes and were very well served. I recommend it!
Very good experience, good explanation of the landscape. The guide Pancho was very attentive to ensure that all the passengers had a good time and that there was a good vibe among everyone. A lot of patience so that we could explore the area as well. I recommend it
A great experience, both adventurous and culinary. The landscapes were the main stars and Luis was great company during the experience. It is worth doing.
Historical and very rich tour, with beautiful landscapes. The food is also not lacking anything.
It was an excursion with incredible landscapes, beautiful places and views, with a great lunch at La Sirena and the captain!!! With an excellent guide (Diego) and the experience is highly recommended
An incredible experience. Thanks to Luis, 100% recommended, a super kind and responsible person, he was our guide on the trip to Puerto Almanza and made the experience excellent. Best regards.
Beautiful experience. Both the path and the encounter with the fishing village. Recommended, and do not miss the tasting of spider crab and mussels.
We had a great day, 100% recommended, plus the driver guide we had was super friendly and kept us informed throughout the route, Luis Coria you are a legend as well as a great professional, we are taking back to Spain a day we will never forget.
A beautiful experience, the information is exactly as stated, and spectacular weather, I highly recommend it.
