Prior to an excursion to Antarctica, a friend and I had a couple of days to explore Ushuaia and its surrounding areas. A trip to Tierra del Fuego is a must so I booked a half day tour with Latitud Ushuaia through Viator. But, silly me, I booked it on the wrong date... and watched open mouthed as the tour bus drove right passed us! A quick call to Latitud and my mistake was graciously and so professionally sorted out. Another bus came to fetch us: our guide was excellent, the history most interesting, the views stunning, and the birds and wildlife surprised us (we saw a fox!). It was a fantastic tour. Thank you Latitude Ushuaia for your kind consideration and excellent support.

This tour was very interesting and knowledgeable for two of us ! Our tour guide was very kind , helpful and extremely supportive as well as she has the great knowledge of the park ! We strongly recommend this tour to anyone interested in nature of the areas !
This was a very last minute booking for us, we normally try to get small group bookings. Pick up was good, we weren't staying at a hotel but they picked us from the cafe next door. It was a small coach but didn't feel crowded. There was plenty of room for bags etc. Guide was very polite and knowledgeable with a sense of fun to hid presentation. Bing a last minute booking we didn't have train reservations. Whilst there was a wait list to the station, we failed to secure tickets, this was OK as we got an extra bit of hiking as well as getting to see the train cross the valley in it's way into the station, a great phot op we would have missed if we got train (glad we didn't get tickets actually) As expected (it does say in the trip details) there was a nominal extra fee to pay when we got into the park. We made several stops in the park at the major scenic view points, whilst there were plenty of people about it wasn't crowned and park staff did a great job keeping traffic moving. The park is very beautiful and this was a great introduction. Will definitely be back for more serious hiking next time.
Well organized tour and the guide was great! All of the stops were gorgeous, just didn't love the one where we were swarmed and attacked by mosquitos haha. I do think there should be an option for a tour that does not stop at the train (if there is one, I couldn't find it). Sitting to wait for the train to leave and then arrive wasn't the biggest issue for me - it was that we were then on the same timeline as everyone else who had people on the train. I would think that if we went to the same stops earlier, less people might be there and make for a more enjoyable experience.
This is a fine tour run by a company that has its act together and hires good staff. From the sign up to the drop off at the end, they communicated and delivered on their promises. Our guide was charming, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history, nature, native culture and folklore of this expansive park, skillfully narrating and answering questions. The views and vistas of this unspoiled area were spectacular, plus the old prisoners’ train and southernmost post office are charming. Put simply, this half-day visit to Tierra del Fuego is time and money very well-spent for visitors.
An excellent experience. The tour offered so many vistas to see and gave insightful information to complete the narrative.
Took this tour in the morning before boarding on our Antarctica trip. It was pleasant. We chose not to do the train ride and were taken on an easy walk instead. We did not regret skipping the train ride as it looked very crowded and we prefer more activity. The guide was great and the organisation including pick up and drop off spot on.
Go with this tour. An easy decision. Best guide and driver. Such a great tour. Good value. Thank you for our special afternoon.
The tour itself was great - they picked up on time, the bus was comfy. It was a little annoying having to get my own ticket into the park, and we had to wait in line at the park to get our tickets - thank goodness we were one of the first groups because that was not a fast process. The stops were good and of adequate time. I REALLY enjoyed the little special treat our guide did for us at the last lake stop. I didn't realize there was an option to take the train with the half day ticket and again I didn't prepurchase one so I had to wait in a waiting list line to get any extra seats - should have been more clear online what the day would really consist of.
Well run and very organised tour. Our tour guide Josephina was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this as a nice, quick - but not too quick - glimpse of the park.
Juan was a great guide and very informative. Enjoyed all the sites we visited. The bus was prompt and safe.
The time was well arranged, our guide is very professional and responsible. The park is so beautiful and the train was worth to take. I very enjoyed Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Franco was an excellent guide to Tierra del Fuego National Park. He provided so much information and insight that added another layer to our visit to Ushuaia. We had such a cold, wet day for our tour, but the weather did not get in the way of seeing the park. In fact, we would not have been able to navigate it on our own as efficiently. Just wish we’d had more time! Franco was also our driver to and from the airport and gave us tips for hiking to Emerald Lagoon. He was so professional and personable! We had a wonderful time in Ushuaia and glad Latitude was part of our itinerary.
The guide provided us with so much information about the park vegetation and wildlife. Pick up and drop off on-time. Overall great experience.
The tour company was very responsive and stayed in contact with us through whatsapp any time we had questions. We ended up being the only ones on the tour. Our guide spoke perfect English and displayed an incredible knowledge of the area. He went into detail when we asked questions, down to the genus and species of trees. I was impressed. He navigated the park to avoid crowds and got us to the best photo opportunities. He even encouraged us to wade into the water in the most picturesque bay. The surprise at the end was perfect (I wont spoil it) and we left very satisfied. My perceived value for the money spent was at the high end of all the tours we took on this trip.
Excellent opportunity to see the National Park with a very experienced guide, Franco who was born in Ushuaia & had a very detailed knowledge of its history
Our guide knew so much - about the geography, plants and animals, and the historical background of the park. Also, tour not too short or too long. Just right. Made for a very enjoyable tour
We had a very fun guide, Juan Se, who told us many stories about the place, the fauna and flora of the places we were seeing. We got to see the start of the National Road number 3, that starts in Ushuaia and ends in Alaska, we saw the lake by the Condor Mountain and we got to ride the End of the World train tour to the Macarena cascade. It ended with a sweet surprise :)
Regina was a great guide, but wish we had a little more time at each stop. Would have loved to walk around the park more, but were only allotted 15-30 minutes at each stop due to delays (passenger pick up and train). Still really enjoyed it and it was a nice way to see the main spots.
Should be stressed that park fee should be paid in cash. 30,000 pesos each. We were much delayed at entrance because credit cards did not work. Apparently a machine malfunction
Tour of Tierra del Fuego tour was nice but guide changed the departure time at the last minute and only informed me by Whattsapp which I do not normally check. We had to take a taxi halfway to the park to meet the group in timer
The guide, Regina, was very knowledgeable and kind. The driver was helpful and they did everything for us to feel comfortable. All was on time. I recommend working with them.
I would highly recommend Latitude Ushuaia Travel for their punctual, well-organized, knowledgeable, and personalized service. We enjoyed our Teen del Fun del Mundo and several stops in Tierra del Fuego National Park. Their staff (drivers, guides and office agents) were caring and efficient, prompt with their WhatsApp communications, and eager to make our time in Argentina enjoyable and worry-free. It has been a pleasure. Thank you ! 🙏🏼
The tour itself is too expensive to what it is. I would recommend people to rent a car and do it by their own In addition, we had an inconvenient with one of the passengers, she was being rude and making problem out of nowhere and the tour guide decided not to intervine
The vast majority were older people. You get a choice to take the tourist train or not. All the older people took it while the very few younger didn’t. If you choose not to take it, you have to wait for about 1.5 hours bored out of your mind. Not a great experience at all.
Wonderful tour, very informative with beautiful scenery! Aluh was fantastic! Totally recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the park with limited time. Train ride was also fun!
Great way to get an introduction the Tierra del Fuego Park. I didn't choose to do the Fin del Mundo train, I'm not a rail buff and the cost and reviews didn't convince me. There is a bit of faffing at the start of the tour to get the rail buffs on the train, but there are enough old photos and info at the train station to keep you occupied. You then drive around to the train finish point to pick them up again. Here you can enjoy the scenery and get good pics of the train as it's rounding the bend and free roaming horses. You do miss out on seeing the waterfall. The tour proper starts when you are all back on board the mini bus. Highlights include the End of the World Post Office, where you can get your passport stamped, explore a short walking trail with remnants of past Indigenous settlement, drive to the end of National Route 3 for a photo opportunity and enoy Lapataia Bay scenery.
Pay 5500 in pesos only for entry. On the first stop. They’ll drop you off for 30 min which is a lot of time for the easy path to the view. If you want some extra steps and a higher vantage point, there’s another path behind the car park that goes into the trees and there’s a nice little lookout point less than a 10 min walk (7 if you’re quick and able). There wasn’t enough time to walk that whole path out to route 3 but the people coming back said it wasn’t much different of a view than the trees you see coming to the first lookout point Only improvement: They could take some time away from the first 2 stops and use more at the post office. The train was delayed so those of us without tickets had a lot of time on our hands( train is an hour) so they took us to a spot near the train tracks and mountains to walk around for half an hour and that was great. Even saw the train pass by and got some cool photos.
This tour is a great way to see the Tierra del Fuego National Park. The guide was knowledgeable and professional and we spent a good half day learning about this park. They gave us the option to do the end of the world train which was nice but very touristy experience. We all enjoyed it very much.
Definitely one of our favorite tours. Luciano was the perfect guide. He was knowledgeable and very clear in his explanation of the sights.
Quite a nice roundtrip in a bus. One should not expect too much. It gives you the opportunity to take a train as well as visit the famous ,Fin del Mondo’ sign of the Pan Americana - or beginning to everything. And in between you get a lot of information about the area and the history of the park.
My tour includes a lot of wonderful things. I really enjoyed the train trip, and also loved the service of taking my picture with the men with a costume of a prisoner! I was able to go very close to the border of Argentina and Chile, where I saw a beautiful mountains. I also sent a postcard to my niece and nephews in Japan from the southernmost post office, which was one of the things I really wanted to do in Ushuaia. I was happy that I was able to go to the post office during this excursion. I highly recommend this tour.
Actually the post precludes writing multiple activities. Booked thru Agate Travel, we two were in Ushuaia for 3N, 4-7Dec22. Latitud took care. Los Asebos hotel view was superb. All the trips, 5th,6th were nice one..Esp memorable one was the EOT World Train Trip & the Penguin Island & last Post Office trip. Ms Sylvania was very professional & efficient. Driver ,Fredericko was superb punctual & courteous. Im sure ,Latitud is one of the best Tour Cos at Ushuaia.
Our guide, Regina, was excellent. Her Spanish and English translations were quick and seamless. She shared maps and many pictures with us to add to our knowledge. We made 2 stops on the way to the Tierra del Fuego Parque, to view a straight and a lake. Both stops were a bit long considering what was there to see. Our next stop was at the visitor center where the exhibits were quite interesting and informative, there were nice bathrooms, and hot drinks and food. We needed more time there and maybe steal some from the first 2 stops next time. The train was very interesting, but a bit pricey if using the 174 pesos to one USD, instead of the 300 to one that we experienced elsewhere.
Our tour guide Luchiano (sp?) was great and very knowledgeable. The park was gorgeous. Highly recommend if you don’t have a full day to spend the.
Tierra del Fuego area is beautiful. This trip however was a bit disappointing because we had to pay extra to get into the park and then to go on the train (or sit and do nothing) . Definitely go into the park but book a tour that includes these things.
Not really interesting. Time was set to 4 hours, but it took 5½ hours. You get to see a lake, taken to the train, ride it. After that they drive to a beaver dam and end with another lake view. Nothing is really interesting. Ohh and the warm surprise they mention... we didn't get any. So much is wrong with the tours description you honestly should look for another.
Our bilingual guide did a great job of relating to a diverse group of travelers. Our driver did an amazing job of navigating roads, parking and traffic. We were able to see some beautiful views, and have an easy outdoor experience with short walks.
Had a very informative bilingual guide and saw quite a bit of the National Park. There was a bit of time sitting around for those who didn’t do the train ride. Otherwise a very good tour
Take a taxi and go there. Will be 10 times cheaper. Don't see any additional value of having a guided tour.
Forest walk was interesting. Guide well informed. Drop off arrangements not made clear at booking, so were left stranded in centre of town with hotel 7km away. Fortunately driver offered to take us there but passed hotel shuttle bus on the way.
The trip was excellent. However we did not appreciate the fact that, on the way back, we had to make a detour to drop the guide at her place, hence a late arrival at our hotel. This does not show a lot of respect for the customers.
Tour guide was excellent. She provided information in Spanish and English. Minibus was modern and comfortable.
I recommend the tour from the reasons as below. - Knowledgeable and friendly guides - Well-organized and efficient itinerary - Small-sized group and nice atmosphere - Explanation in both Spanish and English The tour is efficiently organized in 4-5 hours, so you can enjoy Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego fully including Train of the End of the World (optional), Bahia Lapataia, and Lago Roca. At the end of the tour, you can get off at the port, so it's convenient if you are going to join Beagle Channel navigation in the afternoon.
Wonderful tour to Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. Combining the train (very nice in winter with snow) with amazing views on mountains and bays, going through popular Ruta 3 road.
Andreas and Marcel were fabulous leaders. Outstanding tour. Great enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge. Greatly patient with all the participants. Highly recommended small group tour. He cared about each guest
Comfortable and informative way to visit the park at the end of the world. Recommend paying for the train ride. Great view of the area!
Excellente service and follow up. The staff is very professional and caring, I recommend to use their service. They recommend options in response to your needs.
This was a great small group tour out to the national park. The tour was much smaller than most of the others we saw in the party, a mini-bus as opposed to a full size coach touring bus, which gave us the flexibility to move around more quickly and get out ahead of the other tours at some locations. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and took good care of us. We definitely learned from the tour as opposed to just being chauffeured around and they gave us good tips for exploring the area outside the tour as well.
Having lived in Alaska and Panama and been familiar with parts of the Pan-American highway it was particularly meaningful to us to be at the southern terminis of the Pan-American highway and the "end of the world". The part of the national park that we were able to see was beautiful and we were glad we got to experience it. Our guide, Andre was very informative and interesting about Ushuaia and surrounding areas. Great trip - highly recommend.
