Great activity. We didn’t have a lot of time in Ushuaia so this was the perfect opportunity to see the highlights of the national park. The guide shared a lot of information about the park, region, and history. The hikes were very easy and going with a group forced us to go slow / take it all in. For lunch we had stew and a dessert with water / wine available. It was also great to have the transportation directly from our hotel. The half day slot also let us enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the city.

Itinerary
Our guide will pick you up fromyour hotel or from our office (at Roca 136) at the time to be determined the night before.
We will start around 8:00 AM and once inside the Tierra del Fuego National Park we will visit the most relevant places. Our prioritizing of the natural attractions in Tierra del Fuego National Park ensure that you will enjoy them while the large contingents of tourists are somewhere else. We will walk some short, low-difficulty trails and we will make the most of the time with what is really worth knowing in this area.
The guide will propose an itinerary full of information, that covers all the most popular panoramic points of interest within the National Park. We will visit Ensenada Bay, and, of course, Lapataia Bay, the end of all the roads in America. We will also see the rivers and lagoons within the National Park and Acigami Lake (called Roca Lake for a short time). We will serve lunch (included, with drinks) at Archipiélago Cormoranes.

This is a 7 km or 4 mile walk on a rough trail. Not for anyone with knee, back or flexibility issues. They did provide hiking pools if you wanted them. Beautiful mountain scenery and forest. The lunch was nice with plenty of wine provided. Guide (Coco) was pleasant, friendly, and informative.
An amazing team, Flor was phenomenal, and a great way to see the park! Wow! Incredibly beautiful and friendly. Tricky for folks with a few knee concerns, but an easy trek for most!
Nice overview of Tierra del Fuego National Park, interspersed with short walks and explanations of the surroundings. Good lunch.
From pick up to drop off was amazing 🫶🏼, Marcello and Paco were brillant. Loved the homes, lunch and knowledge.
I had a wonderful time on the half-day Tierra del Fuego adventure - it was a perfect amount of time to see the park along with a wonderful lunch. We did some walking, which was easy and doable for all ages.
We had a few nice treks through the national park. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna we encountered.
Good views although the guide really rushed us through. Did provide good information. Bottled water was not provided as indicated so be sure to bring some. The hikes were mild to moderate because of all the rocks and mud. We were thirsty from the trek and didn't get liquids till lunch which was about 4 hours from the start of our journey.
Opportunity to go into the park and see some great sights. Tour indicated water available so we didn't take any and none was offered besides during lunch. The hikes were mild but at a fast pace through rocks so it was challenging and we were all quite thirsty. Would be nice if tour price included the ticket into the park as well so you didn't have to purchase onsite or online before that required passport info and etc.
What they said was what we did. The guide, Sonia, was very good and helpful, and helped us book another trip that immediately followed on. Loos available everywhere. Little hikes interesting and not difficult. Food provided was fine, stew, nibbles, dessert, and wine.
A great activity for exploring the area around the entrance to the national park. Our guide Valentine was very personable, funny and knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of the park and the area.
We found this to be an excellent way to see a sampler of the park. Our guide, Marcello, was excellent as was our driver and the Cook. We enjoyed each stop and felt well educated. Lunch was very enjoyable.
Fantastic chill tour with light trekking in several spots. Transportation was amazing. Lunch was super for both carne ppl & vegetarians. Maybe use a big spray prior to the tour…. You can bring bags and safely leave them in the van while away. You will get great geography lesson, meet wonderful travelers, and obtain timeless professional pics (if you desire).
First of all, we had a wonderful guide Maria I think was her name. She was wonderful. She made the whole thing fun and enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable and upbeat. Her understanding and speaking of English was excellent. The places they take you are beautiful and worthwhile. The lunch we got was more than expected and satisfying. We also had a nice coffee and tea break in the morning and an energy bar and water. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend this anytime. One of the trails is a bit rough if you have any walking difficulties but is doable. (it also helped that we had a sunny morning and early afternoon. It rained after we finished)
This was a great half day excursion. The guide, Valentine, was perfect. Nice, easy walk through the park. We saw birds and learned about the national park and ended with a very tasty hot lunch!
This was a great experience. The guide, Gaby, was super helpful, kind, and inoformative. Thought it was a rainy day, we were able to see the beauty of the park. She picked me up on time and even made coffee for me during the trekking portion of the tour. I will for sure recommend it and perhaps do it again myself.
Best to wear shoes for trekking and bring a walking stick or we used big long branches from the wood that was there and we let our tour guide know this because of how we were advised to protect the natural aura of the Parque de Fuego.
Great organisation, excellent and knowledgeable guide, small group, lovely scenery and a fabulous lunch with wine in a heated yurt right by the lake/river. You must use Canal Fun - they are great
Couldn't have asked for a better tour experience for a half-day tour. The guide was very informative and pleasant. The van was comfortable and the drive was "safety first". A great experience.
The guide was professional, with great knowledge He was easy to speak with and engaged us all in a great outing We saw the highlights with a minimum of wasted time and had a great day
I was with this tour group in Aruishia two days before boarding the Ocean Diamond for the expedition to the Antarctica. The guides picked me up from the airport, dropped me off at the hotel and the next day the guide and I spent the day at the National Forest and the rest of the day touring Aruishia. Both guides were so great to me, we had a great time, we explored the National Forest, had a wonderful lunch that Canal provided and toured the City of Aruishia. The guides and tour company also helped me navigate questions about embarking the Ocean Diamond and answered all of my questions and called me to make sure I was ready to go. I would recommend this tour group as they care about their guests, their safety and are also very knowledgeable.
We were picked up on time. Good start! Flora, our guide, gave us an overview of our day while we traveled to the park. Once we arrived Flora took us all under her wing and led us through the forest, all the time explaining and showing us what was going on around us. After our walk we were taken for a delicious lunch and then back to our hotels. We couldn't have wished for a better guide. Great job Flora. Judy and Ken Australia
My friends and I signed up for the half a day tour through Tierra Del Fuego. It was amazing and another memorable chapter to our Argentina adventures. Our guide was Joaquin who was knowledgeable, very and friendly, and provided us with wonderful, wide ranging information. Our shuttle bus was very clean and spacious. They provided us with water and snack. The views were breathtaking. They allowed us ample opportunity to take photos and enjoy the foliage. They also provided lunch and this was simply delicious and rivaled some of our restaurant meals. The tent in which lunch was held was spacious and warm. We were provided incredibly tasty dishes- chicken with vegetables, a mediterranean pasta dish, and a farro bean dish- they were all so simply made and so tasty and fresh. The bottle of lovely malbec was a wonderful complement too. This was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and took very good care of us. I would gladly do this again or pursue other tours with them again in the future. So highly recommended!!!
Valentin was an excellent guide for our group of 12 adults and teens. The pace of the hike was comfortable and enjoyable for all. During our breaks for water/snacks, he would pull out maps and field guides about the flora and fauna and he was able to answer a wide range of questions. Lunch was simple, delicious, generous, and served by pleasant people, including Valentin. Paddling the river in rafts was peaceful and not challenging. We only wished we had known that waders would be provided instead of buying and packing waterproof pants that we didn't need. It was a lovely day in a gorgeous setting.
This tour with Canal Fun was exactly what i like in a tour—excellent and knowledgeable tour guide (Sabrina), information about the geography, history, flora and fauna of the region. Beautiful surroundings. Walking/light hiking in nature. And good food! Everything was top-notch and fun. Canal Fun tours are the best!
Very nice, relaxed trip, featuring a ride pn the Tren fin del mundo(optional), short hike in the beautiful park and a visit to the post office at the "end of the world". Spectacular views and some interesting information about the area. Recommended without hesitation
The tour will take you to the most relevant spots of Ushuaia National Park, a mix between walks on trail and short bus rides. The trail is not difficult but can be slippery so be sure to wear the ride attire and shoes. Be ready for cold and rain as the weather changes rapidly. Joachim, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the region, answering questions on flora and fauna, tribes and history both in English and Spanish. The tour ends with a nice and tasty lunch under a tent by the water. A nice way to discover the area with good insights. You will need to pay the park entrance fee on site,560 Argentinian Pesos.
Excellent the service and the execution of the tour. The guide was amazing, was all the time interacting with tourists, telling curiosities and stories about the region and the national park. Thanks to all.
Well i can thoroughly recommend this company - we arrived by cruise ship and although the company doesn't pick up from the terminal itself their office is literally 5 mins walk and very easy to find. So that was nothing to be concerned about and we set off for the trip. The day was very enjoyable and the three walked hokes were all very easy - Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very professional - As much as possible we were not with the masses so to speak but certainly saw everything we wanted. And the meal they provided which most of the other operators don't seem too was excellently cooked and very enjoyable. I could not recommend this company enough and to top it all very good value.
Our guide, Florencia, was particularly knowledgeable and personable. We had a large group (12), set up as a private tour and she made the day interesting and enjoyable for everyone - a challenge with the large age and fitness range of our group. The lunch was outstanding. Highly recommended.
This was a really great half-day tour that included hiking through Tierra Del Fuego National Park and ended with a delicious lunch. Valentin was a wonderful and enthusiastic guide throughout. It was so much more fun to tour with a small group and stay away from the tourist crowded areas. I definitely recommend this company. You will not be disappointed. Wish I'd had more time to do other tours with them.
Booked this tour while on cruise of South America based on good reviews on this site and was not disappointed. Valentin and his crew provided a great small group experience. They were engaging, knowledgeable and informative. Saw all that we expected and wanted to see with wonderful lunch and local wine included. All communication regarding the booking was clear and prompt. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed this trip very much. Our guide, Norbi, was personable and had tons of knowledge about the flora and fauna. We did several reasonable hikes and then had lunch in a yurt. Freshly-cooked food was tasty and wine was also provided. Our entire group had fun. Canal Fun is highly recommended!
This was a well organized and interesting tour with lovely landscapes and pleasant easy walking. The guide Joaquin was really friendly and there were some very nice personal touches like he took professional quality photos during the tour and sent them to us by Whatsapp (no charge). He also shared his Mate with us and explained how to make it and shared some home-made chocolates. He was well-informed about the flora and fauna. We saw the main points of interest of the National park. The lunch was delicious.
Canal Fun is an excellent tour company with excellent communication with their clients. Upon receipt of the tour payment, they already sent me a whatsapp message letting me know that I can contact them via whatsapp in case of anything urgent. They also whatsapp me the day before the tour to confirm the meeting time at their office. I’m very impressed with how they really utilise technology instead of only sticking with the old style emailing system! There were only 5 of us in the tour on that day and it was a nice cosy group. I’m very glad that they still run the tour with only the 5 of us. Flor the tour guide speaks perfect English, she was very patient with us, my hubby was sick on the day and she slowed down the pace for him and always checking to make sure he’s alright, and this I truly appreciate, this is beyond customer service! :) Flor is very knowledgeable about the national park and she’s into photography, so you sure can trust her with your camera should you need some group photos taken by her! We had lunch in the dome tent and it was very warm inside, Flor said they have recently inserted some insulation in the tent to keep the customers warm during lunch, how considerate is that! Lunch was barbecue chicken with some simple entrees and salad, cooked by the driver and they were delicious! Canal Fun definitely has made our stay in Ushuaia an unforgettable one! I highly recommend Canal Fun and Flor to anyone visiting Ushuaia!
Flor was our energetic and knowledgable guide. The hiking was just the right length as was the canoeing. The companionship was warm and welcoming, which was particularly nice as I was traveling solo. Canal Fun & Nature is on time, well-organized and experienced with the region. That the groups are small is a major plus. I was lucky with very good weather, which can be tricky down there.
My daughter and I had a wonderful tour with Canal. Our guide Marine was personable, knowledgeable and attentive, keeping a watchful eye on our group during our hike. It’s an easy hike but conditions were slippery/muddy due to the wet weather. Marine quickly learned everyone’s name, introducing us to each other, and it was a friendly atmosphere. Beautiful scenery in the National Park, including a stop at the “End of the World”, the southernmost end of the Pan-American Highway (Route 3). The morning was capped off by a delicious hot lunch, with wine, served in Canal’s domed tent. Transportation to/from our hotel was provided. The tour was the perfect way to spend our time before departing on our Australis cruise later that afternoon. Before booking, I looked at other tours that included the train. I’m glad we opted to spend more time hiking in the park rather than looking at it through a window. Tip: the weather in Ushuaia can change quickly, best to wear layers including waterproof jacket/pants/boots.
We booked a private half day tour of the Tierra del Fuego National Park with Canal Fun. We chose the company because I’d had such a great experience during a previous trip to Ushuaia in 2016, when I’d done the full day tour to Harberton (amazing and highly recommended). Our guide, Joaquin, met us at the quay and made the whole day easy, informative and fun. He adjusted the day’s schedule to take account of the initially poor weather (which rapidly brightened up), our interests and the needs of our party (which included my 74 year old father and 17 year old son). We saw the beautiful sites and wildlife within the National Park, had a very tasty lunch in the company’s domed dining facility (soup, chicken stew and cake with wine) and were then dropped back at our ship. I would fully recommend Canal Fun, this tour and our guide to anyone visiting Ushuaia.
Guided by experts and nice people, we had an extraordinary experience in a day full of surprises in an exciting tour through wonderful landscapes. Food was excellent grilled also by the guides
Arranged a private tour because of limited time frame. Frasco was our guide. His knowledge of not only the Park but also the history of the area was outstanding. He readily answered all questions, was a great driver, and helped is to enjoy the area. I would strongly recommend Canal Fun to other visitors.
We did the half-day Tierra del Fuego National Park Tour but didn't dos lunch but the nicely presented drinks while watching anMagellanic Woodpecker just yard away was perfect. It was the 6th Canal Fun Tour we had done having first come across the company 14 years ago. The tours were excellent then and when we needed an individually tailored tour in February, we contacted them again. Noting was too much trouble. Making the arrangements, the booking and payment were all a dream and Carlos in the office was just so helpful. And as for the tour itself, that was amazing. A trek through great scenery of Tierra del Fuego with one of their expert guides a great experience. Timing was perfect and also the arrangements for our baggage as we were in transit worked seamlessly. Full marks to everyone at Canal Fun. I have no hesitation in recommending them and would most certainly contact them again if I was in Ushuaia. Thanks to everyone
We were a very congenial group of 6, and Joaquin was our fantastic guide. What a talent n all directions including personality, knowledge, kindness... The lunch was great, the itinerary perfect, the pace of the hikes adjusted to the slowest among us. Worth every peso and thus highly recommended. ...
We flew into Ushuaia the same day of our visit to Tierra del Fuego, so we thought we should choose a private tour. Our tour guides were very accommodating and resourceful. We were able to visit all the spots that we wanted to see and got answers to all of the questions we had. The lunch was a very nice and unique experience. The tour guides even booked our dinner reservation for the night. Very nice touch.
We were guided by two different guides on two different trips. Both guides were outstanding and the trips were well organized, safe, informative and a ton of fun. This is a very professional well-run out fit. I would highly recommend them if you would like guided hiking in Ushuaia.

Tour guide Claudio was fantastic. He really knows the area and is very fluent in both Spanish and English. Two small walks were included in the tour and both were very achievable for us 60-somethings. The lunch was held in a geodesic dome tent within the park. It consisted of cold appetizers, an entree of chicken leg and thigh with rice and moist cake for dessert. Wine, water and Pepsi were offered as beverages. Our mistake was to bring only lightweight waterproof jackets. The weather can shift from sunny and warm to light rain, cold and windy very quickly. We should have also brought warmer jackets and left them in the van when they were not needed.

Our guide Joaquin was a diamond and so was the driver. Really lovely and knowledgeable chap. We went early at 8am so no other tourists around The walks were manageable and with beautiful weather breathtaking The food was ok to finish trip off. My only grievance was that sat in the back of a Land Rover defender was not very comfortable and gave me back ache. If the ride had been better it would be 5/5. Luckily only a half day trip
Our guide picked us up promptly at our hotel at 8:30. We then drove to Tierra del Fuego National Park. We made several stops in the park, including Zaratiegui Bay, Arias Port at Lapataia Bay, and Acigami Lake. At each stop, we went on easy walks where the guide provided lots of information about the park and the wildlife. We had a delicious hot lunch and then returned to Ushuaia around 2 pm. Our guide was terrific-friendly and knowledgeable. Great tour.
C'est très agréable d'être en petit groupe pour cette promenade tranquille. Notre guide Cathy était très sympathique et professionnelle. Le repas du midi pour terminer était très bon et copieux.
Excellent organization, very competent and friendly guide. The respondent requires a limited effort in the walks and is very pleasant, giving the opportunity to stop, take photos, ask questions etc. Highlights of the day: the woodpeckers, the chimango bird and the caulk plant.
Very good. Beautiful walk and better paddling Super recommended, very good guides and food very well coordinated and very timely
