Itinerary
We will start the tour with the pick up from your centrally located hotel. We will board a confortable mini-van and head to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, located only 30 minutes from the city centre.
Once we arrive to the national park, the guide will choose the route—either the Pampa Alta or Senda Costera—depending on conditions and interests of the group. Pampa Alta, a 3-mile (5-km) trail that lasts approximately two hours, offers gorgeous vistas as well as bird watching. Senda Costera (Coastal Path) is a popular 4-mile (8-km) trail that takes you along the coast for about three hours. As you follow your guide, you’ll learn about the geography of the area as well as the nature and wildlife found in Tierra del Fuego National Park. Note the diverse flora and fauna, such as Antarctic beech, and perhaps find traces of ancient Yámanas settlements.
Reaching the banks of Lago Roca (Roca Lake), enjoy a complimentary lunch in the forest setting. Dine on chicken breast en papillote (baked in foil) with tomato and cheese, accompanied by mineral water, wine and soft drinks.
After lunch, your guide will prepare your small group for the 1.5-hour canoe ride down the Lapataia River, which brings you to Lapataia Bay and the Beagle Channel. The remote bay, nestled amid snow-capped mountains, is a great place for spotting waterfowl such as ducks, geese and plovers that inhabit this region at the ‘end of the world’!
The adventure tour culminates here, at the Panamerican Highway end, where you’ll hop aboard the minivan for the return trip.
Once in Ushuaia, you will be left at your hotel.

Brilliant day. We had fantastic weather with blue skies, warmth and very little wind. Gabriel was an excellent guide and Felipe was great with the driving and the cooking.
Had a great time on the 8km trek (which was easy enough for all levels). Don't need trekking poles for, just sturdy enough hiking shoes/boots. Then we had a really good lunch and wine which they were able to accommodate food allergies for without issue. The canoe was super fun too, but we had to cut it a little short due to the extreme wind. They provided the life vests and boots needed for the canoe.
Such a great day! Loved it! Everything was very well organised and we had lots of fun. They picked us up at our hotels and then we went to the park (it’s best to buy tickets in advance on their website). We started with the canoeing first due to the environmental conditions, and it was awesome. Very easy and relaxing with great views along the way. They also provide you with rubber boots and you can store your hiking shoes and backpacks in a safe place. Then we had a very tasty lunch (it was delicious!) and then we did the trekking, which was also very accessible to everyone. The forest is beautiful and you will visit gorgeous beaches. You don’t need trekking poles, just bring good hiking shoes. Our guides were all top notch. Juan Sebastián, Leandro and Felipe were excellent. They were very friendly and professional and made sure we all had a great time. Juan explained a lot of things during our trekking and it was very entertaining and interesting. They were some of the best guides I encountered during my Chile and Argentina trip 👍 Overall, it’s a highly recommended excursion and you should definitely book it.
We had a wonderful time! Our guide Mariana was lovely, very knowledgeable and attentive along the hike. Felipe on the paddle boat was friendly and pointed out many birds for us to watch, and Julio the driver was patient and kind. The food was plentiful and delicious, and we would definitely recommend for getting a more in depth experience in the national park!
We had a great day out having a paddle and a 8km walk on this tour. Food was really good and the guides, both paddle and walking were lovely.....sorry, can't remember names😱.
Excellent trip, rafting on the lake, river and bay with sightings of various birds and sea lions. Lunch was extremely good with wine. The hike was muddy and quite hard in places but very enjoyable. Our guide was excellent
Juan was our all star tour guide!! Juan was knowledgeable, humorous, responsible and a perfect guide! Communication was excellent and the company was able to reschedule our trip to the next day due to unprecedented delays from travels to Ushuaia. Pick up from our hotel was punctual. Philip, our driver was also excellent!! We had a great time hiking and later canoeing with the group on a rainless day. Lunch was a delicious 3 course meal in a dome camp by the water. Juan pointed out excellent details, shared knowledge and history about the different plants, islands, channels in Tierra del Fuego. We enjoyed the entire tour. 10/10 would recommend.
The tour was memorable. The views, the fresh air, the exceptional attention of our guide Gabriel, and the lunch were all strong points. The terrain can be a little difficult to navigate. The rain, wind, and snow were also a bit challenging, especially on the water. Still, we would do the tour again with no hesitation.
We started with canoeing as the weather was very nice in the morning. We were the only ones on the water and were treated to a unique vantage point. Lunch was unexpectedly hot and delicious - not like anything I’ve been fed before on a guided adventure. The hike was lovely. Our guide was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. It was really worth every peso. Pro tip- take an extra pair of socks just in case.
On time pick up, skilled driver. Friendly and well informed guide Juan Hiking not arduous and some great views The paddling also is relatively brief and easy even for first timers on trip. Mostly move w the current. Good for sauna and flora. Lunch was hot and in a covered area
Such a great day. The paddling was really good fun, lunch was delicious and the hike was stunning. Our guide was really knowledgable and we learnt lots about the flora and fauna.
Juan, our guide and Nikko, our driver were the perfect team! They were both accommodating and kind. Juan was super knowledgeable about the National Park.. including hiking routes, plants, animals and the history of.. always informing of an interesting tidbit! The boat tour was just lovely! Lunch was wonderful~tarts, lamb stew, and apple cake with berry sauce.. plus Malbec wine. Highly recommend this tour!
What a great day! The guides were friendly and had a lot of knowledge. We were the only ones canoeing, which made the experience even more special. The views were breathtaking, we even had three sea lions who followed us all the way. The hike is an easy 2-hour walk with lovely views. The lunch was very tasty and with a great view.
A great experience. Gabriel, our guide, was fantastic. The lunch was beyond our expectations. I would certainly recommend.
Amazing experience, well organized and friendly guides. Pretty active so perfect if you have decent mobility. Would do this trip again!
Epic day. The canoeing was really amazing — and for real canoeing! Saw an incredible cross section of mountains and ocean and forests. 3 sea lions came up and nudged the boat ! Gabriel made the day great - sharp wit, good detail, excellent English for those of us who don’t speak Spanish. Would do this very tour again it was so good!
Our guide was terrific…great humor, music, and loads of information that was not a rerun of other tours and museum visits. Small group, wonderful food and wine, and fun conversation. We enjoyed both the canoe trip and the trekking.
Absolutely amazing day spent paddling in Lapataia bay and then a delicious lunch of chicken stew with lots of wine. A long trek along Lapataia bay thereafter in a slight drizzle. Gabriel was funny, entertaining, knowledgeable, and organised. He would make a great DJ ! We had a lovely group from ivory coast, Australia, America, india and Argentina and everyone spoke English!!!. This is a great company to book many tours with. AntarTur.
This trip was so much fun and our guide, Marcel, was one of the best guides ever. Tierra del Fuego Natl Park is very beautiful with spectacular scenery
A fantastic 3-hour trek along the coast of Beagle Channel, a very good picnic lunch, rafting down the river and the best tour guide, Ezekiel. One of my favorite tours in Chile & Argentina. Don’t miss this one !
I only had a day and half in Ushuaia and wanted to get out and see the natural landscapes and this tour was the perfect way to see the National Park! I loved the combo of paddling and hiking for variety, and even in the overcast weather, the park is beautiful. It was an active tour but without being too difficult I'd say. And we had a delicious lunch in their covered dome! Great work from our guide Gabriel, driver Octavio and paddling guide Felipe, they made it such a fun day!
Great trip! Nice 5.5 mile coastal hike, then over an hour on the river. Great guide (Juan); very knowledgeable and informative. Highly recommend.
Very enjoyable, leisurely day. We went on two short hikes and canoed for about an hour. Included a hot lunch in a protected hut. Saw a fox, and numerous wild horses. Stopped at the post office at the end of the world. Guide was informative and entertaining. Canoe is one large inflatable boat, shared by the full group. Those with shoulder / back pain may want to reconsider (though you can stop paddling as needed since there are so many paddlers). Suitable for casual hikers. More adventurous hikers may want to consider other options.
A beautiful day. Interesting to learn about the biodiversity. While hiking we were fortunate to observe wild horses, red fox, and many more. Our guide, Gabriel and Octavio were excellent. Highly recommend
We had an incredible day at Tierra del Fuego National Park with a Hike and Canoe Tour. Our tour guide, Juan was amazing. We had a group that spoke English and Spanish and he effortlessly went between the languages. He made everyone feel comfortable and safe in his guidance. He also had a great sense of humor and made the day so much fun. Our driver and chef, Nicholas was also fantastic. A very memorable trip.
Professionally conducted tour by knowledgeable, friendly, and fun guides. The enthusiasm of the guides was infectious, which ensured a positive atmosphere throughout the whole day. Excellent communication regards pickup location and time. All activities were conducted safely with a comprehensive brief prior to the on water activity.
The team running the tour was fantastic, fun, friendly, and helpful, and the park is absolutely beautiful! The hike has a few uphill sections but overall not too strenuous and being out on the water was a lot of fun. A great day out!
This is an excellent tour and we can’t recommend it enough especially if you get Juan, Octavia and phillipe as your guides. Juan spoke very good English and was very funny too. The weather was typical for the area, it was snowing when we arrived, it then became sunny and then rained… repeat every hours or so. This was never a problem as we were given all the equipment we needed, waterproof trousers and gum boots for the rafting. The rafting was fun and not too challenging. We then stopped for lunch which was fabulous, the warming chicken stew was just what was needed. Next we headed out for our hike which was beautiful. This is a full day tour and worth every dollar ! Thanks so much to juan and the ana Antartur team.
The entire experience was seamless with this tour company. The hiking trail and canoe route were moderately challenging with plenty of breaks and photo opportunities. We had a group ranging from age 18 to 65, and everyone had an incredible time. Octavio and Gabriel provided an excellent experience.
This was the best way to spend a day and a unique experience within Tierra del Fuego. Maya is the best tour guide I’ve ever had and went above and beyond to bring the group together throughout the day. She knew every fact and facet of the park, the landscape and the experience. So much fun and would do again.
We had such a great experience with Juan and Felipe. We got to see three sea lions and two woodpeckers! The canoe trip was more like rafting but without any rapids, for those who aren't sure what to expect. The sea lions swam up to us in the raft and it was such a cool experience. Great guides and a fantastic way to spend a day in TDF National park.
This tour around the Tierra del Fuego National Park with Juan and Felipe was an awesome way to spend a day in Ushuaia. Everything was well planned and even though they weren't sure if we'd see wildlife, we saw three sea lions and two woodpeckers! The sea lions were playing with us in the bay as we paddled around them, it was an amazing experience. Juan and Felipe were both knowledgeable and funny and kept us all on time/on track. Such an amazing experience.
Great way to spend a day! The entire team on the tour is incredibly friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and do everything possible to make it an enjoyable experience. The lunch was incredible with pumpkin soup, chicken stew, dessert, and red wine.
Great tour and knowledgeable guide who spoke good English, Sonia. Had trouble communicating before the trip to organise pick up and collection. Once on the trip the whole experience was great!
This was so much fun! It was just the right amount of challenging/educational. Hiking to the post office at the end of the world was great. Bring pesos if you want to send a post card from the post office, they have some really cool ones in there! Our guide told us so many interesting facts during our hike, there was never a dull moment. Canoeing was definitely a work out but there was plenty of breaks and it was so worth it for the views and the experience. Our guides were so nice and super knowledgeable. The lunch after was SO GOOD. There was plenty of warming stew and good wine to go around. If you want a moderately physical activity where you get to experience a variety of things I definitely recommend this.
Excellent guide who was very knowledgable and answered all our questions in just the right amount of detail making the trip very interesting.
Gabriel, Felipe, and Flávio were wonderful tour guides! They were knowledgeable and friendly, running the tour in English and Spanish. Lunch was a delicious chicken stew along with local cheese tomatoes and wine! With perfect calm weather Gabriel gave us some choices and we did a longer paddle and shorter hike. The best way to see Tierra Del Fuego from Ushuaia!!
The beauty of nature! Our guide was knowledgeable and our driver/chef/raft guide was wonderful! We’ll worth the time!
The park is beautiful and our guides were wonderful. The hike was more strenuous than we expected but despite being older than some of the others, we were able to keep up. They cooked lunch for us between the hike and canoeing parts and it was all very good.
Felipe, Juan y Flavio son muy amables. I had a great time on our tour. The lunch was delicious and their knowledge about the area was enlightening.
We had a great day where Gabriel (I hope that is right), our guide, explained many aspects of the geology, and culture of the area. He had a great sense of humour and made the trip very relaxed and fun. Accommodated for the group’s preferences along the way.
This was a great tour. Juan was a great guide and we enjoyed the conversations with him. There was only one other person in our tour. We rafted from Lapataia River to Lapataia Bay. It was an easy paddle for 4 people (including our guide). We were provided with rubber boots and life jackets. We then had delicious lunch of traditional chicken stew, cheese, olives, bread, wine, and water in a dome. We then hiked along the Sendra Costera. Our guide didn’t mind when we stopped for photos. It was an easy hike and relatively flat. We ended at Correo del fin del mundo and sent a post card from the end of the world.
Very nice guide though it would have helped if he introduced himself as non of us knew his name. A 3 hour hike with beautiful scenery . It would be beneficial to hear a little more information about the area . It was very much a trek. He never mentioned the post office at the end of the world or suggested a photo opportunity. Excellent lunch . Nice canoeing across the lake though be prepared for a sudden surge of wind and rain. It was a very good day overall .
Our guides Juan and Flavio were great. The walk was interesting. The canoe amazing. We were pucky with the weather
The incredible lunch in the little dome as a very nice surprise. But, the long hike with stunning views was fantastic and memorable
The actual trip was great, the details that follow will explain why the downgrade. Breaking down the trip in to three parts; 1) The guided trek. The description stated ages 5-99. I hike a lot so it was not difficult for me. On the other hand we had one person who struggled. The guide did not seem to notice as we were staying behind to help him through. The guide stated that we were on a schedule and we should not stop for photos and hold the group up. At one point as they were waiting for us to catch up I told the group we were not lagging behind only ensuring that the couple was not left behind. At one point the couple actually felt lost and stopped. One of us went back and found them, when we caught back up to the group is when the altercation between the guide and our group happened. He did not appreciate being challenged that we were doing his job making sure everyone made it through. The hike was great, would have preferred another guide. 2) The lunch at the hut was good, plenty of food, chicken, and red wine. Good food and good company. 3) The canoe. The guide here salvaged the trip(different from trek)! Very personable and made the trip fun. The hike was the leg workout, the canoe was upper body. The launch area looked intimidating, wind and waves, but we launched around the corner which was a lot more calm. Mostly downstream, one or two short periods rowing against the wind. So, the trip quality will be determined by the group you end up with. If they only care about themselves or you are going to get upset because people may not be able to keep up with you you may want to go on a private tour. If you end up with people who care and can laugh along the way you will have a great time. On a final note, I am a scoutmaster and would never leave anyone behind on a hike. The slowest should always be in the front and you should always have an eye on the guy behind you, just common courtesy and good practice to make sure everyone makes it out!
Great guide, fun activities, and very prompt. I Would recommend. The canoeing was fun and the hike not strenuous but a good view
As two 20 year olds, we thoroughly enjoyed this tour! We were traveling alone and loved getting to meet people on this tour from all over the world and explore the park with a group. We also found the “trekking” and canoeing to be adequately physically challenging and adventure-filled. Our guide (Gabriel) was awesome and spoke in both English and Spanish to accommodate everyone. Finally, we had a several course lunch (and wine) in geodesic domes right on the river. We’d recommend this to anyone visiting Ushuaia!
Loved this tour. Gabriel and Ariel were excellent and lots of fun. Loved the scenic hike and canoe. It was a good day. Would highly recommend if you are looking for an active day in nature, but not super strenuous.
