Stephano was an amazing tour guide! Not only was the food delicious but he had an incredible knowledge of Umbria history, which he shared along the way. Pro tip: Do not eat breakfast before the tour. You receive a wonderful amount of food along the way.

Beautiful day and the guide was very personable. The food selections were different and good flavors. I wished for a little more variety.

We had a great time on our tour with Francesca! We traveled with our 10 month old son and she was very patient and understanding. She knew a lot about the food and area and we enjoyed spending a few hours with her. The tour included some great stops including some that were recommended to us by others! We would definitely recommend this tour.

Stefano was a great food guide, taking us to places we'd actually walked right past without realizing the jewels they were, and a couple of places a bit off the beaten track. He was personable, a great conversationalist, and knowledgeable about the food and history of Perugia. My husband and I had a great evening getting to know Stefano with an intimate view of Perugia!

Stefano took so much time with us not only on the Food, but the history of the Food he was excellent highly recommend spoke English beautifully and had a fabulous sense of humor. Thumbs up book with Stefano.

Stefano was a fantastic guide for traditional foods of Umbria! The porchetta was mind blowing- crispy skin, well flavored meat and the tasty green sauce on a traditional torta al testo- so good. Cured meats and cheeses, followed by lentil soup and local handmade pasta - all from places we likely wouldn’t have found on our own. Final stop for artisanal chocolate for a week perfect ending to a great tour. Only 4 people - so easy to ask questions about the local food and wine- and Stefani had so much to share!! He gave some tips on good bakeries in town and other restaurants to try. And he gave great suggestions for other parts of Umbria that we may seek out as well. Highly recommend!!

You can hardly get to know those small eating places that are preferred by the locals without a guide. This was the first time we enrolled to such a program and we did not regret it at all. This is the right way to get under the touristy skin of a city and blend into the local life a bit. We had a great experience with our guide, Stefano. We can recommend this program to everyone. If you think about the price of this tour and feel a bit expensive, I'd emphasize that you'll get much more than the snacks, drinks and food during this tour, that would take probably a good week to discover on your own. Stefano told us interesting elements of history of Perugia and the surrounding area in Umbria as well.

We had a wonderful experience on the Taste Umbria: Full Meal Walking Tour in Perugia. The tour was perfectly organized, combining delicious local food with fascinating insights into Perugia's history and culture. Throughout the walk, we visited several authentic local venues and enjoyed a fantastic variety of Umbrian specialties, from traditional cured meats and torta al testo to fresh pasta, local wine, and delicious chocolate. A special thank you goes to Francesca, who made the experience truly memorable. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about both the city and its culinary traditions. Her storytelling brought Perugia to life, and she created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the group. It was nice to compare different traditions between Italy and Poland! The portions were generous, the food was outstanding, and the combination of sightseeing and tasting local specialties was perfect. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Perugia. Francesca was really nice and easy to speak to. She showed us around perugia and the good local spots that we could appreciate. Authentic spaces that have been around for generations which is what I appreciated. The flavors of the meat and the pasta at the last space was great! Overall I enjoyed her company, the warmth with which she spoke to us, her knowledge of Perugia and spaces to visit. She was very kind and helpful overall!

Booked this tour as we had a free day before attending a family event. Stefano was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the history of the Perugia / Umbria and was so flexible with our party ( we had four adults as well as two babies that needed frequent breaks along the way). The food itself was incredible and the portions were really generous - a couple members in our party were also vegetarian and the tour was great in accommodating their dietary restrictions. On top of it all, Stefano left us with some wonderful tips about where to spend the rest of our time - which was really helpful for us as we are first time travelers to the area. Thanks very much for a great time - we will be raving about this tour to the rest our family this week!

Great food tour! A leisurely 4 hour stroll through the bustling city to local eats with a small group. Our guide Stefano was super friendly and shared fascinating local food history as we walked. The food was delicious, authentic, and plentiful. Highly recommend!

Excellent food tour with Stefano who took our group around the centre of Perugia. Very good local food, each dish explained by our host who was more than happy to respond to questions and go in depth on the origin of everything we ate.

Francesca was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We learned some new information about Perugia while also meeting some of the small business owners who offer their delicious food items. The portions were extremely generous (some of the group had difficulty finishing), and the items were varied so as to give us a sense of typical foods/products of Umbria. Although there were only 8 of us, the group was very lively, which would be challenging for some to manage on a walking tour with scheduled stops, but Francesca made it all flow beautifully. Highly recommend!

Stefano was all you can hope for in a tour guide. His knowledge of food, wine, history and culture were impressive and made for an excellent experience for an evening in Perugia. We left with our stomachs full of amazing food and a new friend. A must do when visiting this gem of a City.

Wonderful tour with excellent guide. Walked and talked to four locations, all tastes and sips delicioso, topped off with an amazing chocolate shop. Only glitch was the meet up but quickly fixed with understanding. 😎
