Absolutely must see and experience. Very modern, well organised, interacive museum. Recommend the making your own chocolate experience. It was conducted by a very passionate and devoted Man who explained the whole process, types of cocoa and led is through making our own chocolate bar.

I enjoyed the tour! Very interactive and staff are really kind and nice! Got to enjoy the overlooking view at the chocolate bar rooftop.
A series of shapshot of chocolate history, expensive
I wasn't sure what to expect when I first came in, but I was pleasantly surprised at how comprehensive it was - starting with a very respectful look at the origin of the plant in South America and its significance to the indigenous populations, before it was 'discovered' by colonisation and brought to Europe (with a clear chapter reserved for Perugina in this story). The last part of the museum focuses on the modern cacao growing industry and how issues like fair trade and labour rights (among others) are a big problem. I really appreciated that this was included - it would have been easy for them to ignore this difficult topic and end the tour by funnelling people directly into the gift shop, but the Chocolate Museum does the responsible thing by presenting both the good and bad parts industry. And educating us as consumers on how to make responsible choices. Do note, this museum requires a lot of walking and meandering between rooms. Great for children, but could be challenging for people who can't stand or walk for long stretches.
Delicious, informative and fun! A very well done museum for all ages. Okay space for kids, history lessons for all and beautiful set up. The chocolate was delicious as well!
A beautiful and modern museum in the center, and a gem for Perugia I would say, and I say this as a woman from Perugia. A beautiful visual experience, a full immersion into the world of chocolate. If I may offer a critique, I would say that I also expected something practical, but perhaps it also depended on the fact that it was late and the workshops were closed.
and this chocolate is very tasty!
Fantastic. From cocoa bean to chocolate. Possibility to participate in workshops. I made a chocolate bar! Workshops for adults and children. Possibility to do a chocolate tasting with an expert; you learn a lot of things. Possibility to visit the first Perugina workshop! Beautiful experience
Too little about the chocolate from Perugia, on the way you get a small chocolate, feels a bit strange, but spatially well arranged. But not our thing
Between chocolate, workshops, and history, there is nothing better.
Wonderful place and a beautiful and delicious experience; my son's eyes were shining during the workshop where you create your own chocolate bar. Staff beyond expectations, kind and competent. You feel like a kid again. Highly recommended.
Beautiful experience. Congratulations on creating a truly extraordinary and immersive activity. I recommend it to families.
Very exciting visit... for chocolate lovers, it is the best.
A splendid Chocolate Museum in the historic center of Perugia, where in addition to telling the story of this super ingredient, we were able to taste many varieties of chocolates. The kids can have fun in the organized paths, and the adults can relax in the various areas of the museum. Highly recommended if you have children, but also just for adults.
Committed and sophisticated, there is not much to see real except a few packs of old chocolate, some non-high-quality reproductions of Indo-American statues and many, many, many screens, of all sizes. shapes, colours and sizes. A cute and curated audio guide and a few chocolates offered here and there buffer the experience that, more than ever, is unmotivatedly expensive. 14€ per person, out of all grace, especially when compared to the short and poor quality of the experience. A full-blown tourist trap.
We visited, almost by chance, this museum in the city center, following the indication "Prison of St. Francis" and we lived an extraordinary experience. Difficult to report the emotions experienced in words, I attach some photos... Ticket cost 14 euros for adults, in my opinion well spent. During the visit three chocolates are offered 😉.
Dedicated parking easy if you park in the covered area you have to leave your keys (very convenient ) , super friendly staff, nice for adults and children, top gastronomic experience
High price, but worth it... Both for tourists and locals. It tells the origins of chocolate in Perugia, accompanied with a complimentary Bacio Perugina in the view!!
Absurd price for the museum, we were told it would last about 1 hour and 15 minutes but in reality it lasted not even 15 minutes and we also focused on several things.
