We enjoyed the beautiful Perugia visiting this lovely city hotel. The hotel was very clean with a good breakfast, convenient parking and walking distance to the center. But we are most satisfied that the staff were very kind and welcoming.

Here’s a short, punchy version that works well for Booking.com, Google, or TripAdvisor: ⸻ ⭐ 2/5 Stars The stay was below a 4★ experience. Reception staff (except Antonio) were mostly rude. Breakfast was disorganized — not enough cutlery (we had to wait for it to be washed), and they ran out of black tea. Wi-Fi was very poor, it was stated there is a coffeemachine in the room but it turned out to be a kettle, and housekeeping needs improvement. Special thanks to Antonio at the front desk — polite, helpful, and very professional. He balanced out the otherwise disappointing stay.
Perusia Hotel lays about 20 minutes from the historic city center of Perugia. The 24/24 reception was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Which shouldn't be taken for granted in Italy. The room was very clean, quiet and rather spacious. The included breakfast contained both salty as sweet treats and gave you sufficient energy for exploring the city afterwards.
We enjoyed our stay here, although it was about a 10 minute walk to the gate if the old city, which is fine for us, as we like to walk. The hotel on a hill was nice and overlooking their beautiful chateau, the room was comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was good, the art was nice, and the rooftop panoramic views were spectacular.
If you’re looking for a place to stay while in Perugia,I’d keep looking if I were you. The hotel is located a bit away from the city center. It wouldn’t be so bad if the hallways and rooms were well kept and if it was completely renovated/updated. Although the lobby of the hotel looks nice, looks are deceiving. I have to say that the young lady that checked me in was welcoming and kind. The elevators are quite small. And as soon as I got off the elevator to the third floor, I immediately smelled something that resembled urine. All of the carpet is dirty - both in the hallways and in the rooms - not only does it need to be vacuumed, it needs to be replaced. My room is very small. The walls and baseboards are marred. The furniture is tired. Everything in the room is tired. Everything. A deep clean, remodel and update are needed badly. It was not my choice to stay here. And here I am. I’d choose differently. Let me say the experience is underwhelming all the way around.
