This was a great experience! Very small group but our driver Giulia was personable and friendly. The wineries we went to were different from each other but we enjoyed both. Would do again!

This winery tour was as special as Tomas promised! The pick up in Lucca was on time and easy. Tomas was so polite and full of knowledge and had a special way to integrate all of us so immediately we felt like family! His driving was careful and kept us engaged the entire trip. The first winery was presented so differently than most. Yes we did get an introduction about the property, vines and processing, but what we loved the most was that our guide from the winery sat with us, shared the wine with us, and welcomed questions and any interaction. We did not feel rushed to finish a glass to get to the next sample. The pickings of food was enjoyable. Nice size glasses and plenty of wine to enjoy. The second winery was as delightful. Our host there was warm and engaging and again the wine samples were many and at a very slow pace. We got to enjoy multiple food options, (all delicious) and evenly spaced between the glasses of wine. All the open bottles remained on the table for all of us to further enjoy! This relaxed, and not rushed experience was delightful! The hours flew by and at the end of the tour we felt we made new friends, all thanks to Tomas - he was exceptional. Don’t hesitate take this tour!
The wine tour with Tom was a highlight of our trip. It was such a great value and the best wine tour I’ve done. I would highly recommend booking this one!!
Overall, this was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend choosing it! It was a last minute selection for us and we were so thankful we booked it. Tomas was our guide and was so friendly, helpful, and shared history of Lucca throughout the entire excursion. The wineries we stopped at were fantastic and each unique from the other. I loved getting the tastings paired with the wine, and felt it was a great amount of food and drinks for the price we paid. We will definitely rebook if we find ourselves back in Lucca!
This lovely, relaxing wine tour is perfect for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the wines of Lucca while seeing some of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Tommaso is friendly and extremely well-informed, and strikes a perfect balance between sharing his knowledge and doing so in a way that makes it memorable, rather than overwhelming. Two vineyards are the focus of this tour, and each tasting has considerable depth, so you get a true sense of each, as there is ample time to fully savour them.
Had a lovely day visiting two local vineyards in Tuscany with Tomaso the guide/driver. I will honestly admit, I know very little about wine, which is also why I wanted to do this tour, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So anyone can follow along with the tour, both beginners like me, and people who really know their stuff about wine. We were five people in the van, including Tomaso, and at each vineyard we met between one and two people of the vineyard. Each vineyard was definitely different, and was run for different reasons, and it was fascinating to hear about how one of them truly wanted to preserve how wine was made in the region. Everything about the tour was extremely laid back, and there was no rush at all. I would recommend bringing along a hat, cause when/if outside, the sun can get REALLY hot. Also, I'd recommend brining along a bottle of water, even in October, the area is quite warm. Overall, highly recommended, and would happily do similar tours again!
Ciao Giulia! Excellent experience. Intimate group size, small family owned wineries, delicious wine and food all made locally. A must see experience in Tuscany! Giulia was exceptionally gracious with our rambunctious group.
Really enjoyable 6hour wine tasting tour. Visited 2 vineyard and was taught about the process of wine making and then sampled many glasses of high quality wine! Excellent trip and were so glad we decided to book!
My mom and I recently took this tour and had the most incredible experience! Rafael was our guide and he was energetic, engaging and very knowledgable. There were only four of us total in our group, which was fun. He took us to two small family-run wineries, both of which were charming and beautiful - with delicious wines and food, of course. We could not have asked for a better day! Highly recommend this tour!
Our wine tour in Lucca, Italy, was one of the highlights of our trip. Raffaele was an excellent driver—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took us to superb wineries where we enjoyed exceptional wines and beautiful scenery. His informative commentary about the local wine region, history, and traditions made the experience even more memorable. We highly recommend Raffaele and this wine tour to anyone visiting Lucca. It was a fantastic day from start to finish!
What an amazing day of fantastic wines, conversations and getting to know Lucca by her biggest fan, our tour guide Raffaele! He picked our group of three up in Pisa. He was so knowledgeable about Tuscany past and present! The two vineyards were perfect! The tour of the walls and eating at an exclusive Lucca restaurant, food and service were amazing, then drop off back in Piza was exceptional. Never rushed, food and wine perfection and the history and life of Lucca was a day well spent!
Tomaso and the experience he provided were amazing. A beautiful vineyard in the countryside, a winemaker narrating the story of the wine in Lucca, and a traditional, rustic light lunch in the cellar paired with delicious wine. An absolute must-do if you are visiting Lucca!
Brilliant day, enjoyed by all. Thank you to Marco for dropping us back to our villa, much appreciated.
We had the best time on this tour. We visited 2 different wineries, learned about the wines and the process, sang some UB40 and had an absolute laugh. Best wineries tour I’ve done
Fantastic bespoke and private tour to organic vineyard with tastings and Tuscan meats and cheeses followed by a delicious lunch in Montecarlo and then transfer back to Pisa airport. Nothing is too much trouble for this team! Returning clients after visit to Lucca 2 years ago. We’ll be back for more of ‘Tommi’s tours!’ Don’t hesitate to use this company.
We had an amazing time hanging out with Raffael. Went to two very small destinations and learned about Lucca wine, food, and many stories. I would highly recommend if you like wine, interesting people, and a break from the beach.
A great tour to two lovely boutique wineries. The tour guide Marco was excellent full of local knowledge of the wines and of Lucca. The wine was excellent, enjoyed a the. Tasting in a beautiful setting couldn’t of asked for more.
A great trip into the Tuscan hills to try wine and olive oil at 2 locations. Both stops were amazing but I was completely charmed by the hospitality at Tenuta Marceli. The food was delicious and Francesca was radiant and passionate about sharing information about her family’s operations. Tommaso, our guide; was a delight and worked hard to integrate the group in the beginning and engaged each of us too. This was not an easy order as our group was varied in ages and backgrounds. His local knowledge was also appreciated.
Our trip with Thomas was fantastic. He brought us to wonderful smaller wineries that we would not have been able to find or visit without his knowledge and relationships. He shared really interesting history on the area and wine as well. Truly a special experience!
Wonderful day of wine tasting. We visited two lovely small vineyards outside Lucca. Our driver and guide Raffaele was fantastic and very knowledgeable. It was lovely to learn about the wines from the owners, and to taste fresh and local produce. The "light lunch" in the second winery was amazing. Owner Francesca really outdid herself. Would highly recommend this tour!
Spend the day wine tasting on two vineyards for my 30th birthday with a group of friends - had the most amazing time. Everyone was super knowledgeable and lovely, I learnt a lot but also tasted delicious new wines. Would definitely recommend! Multiple wines and lots of food offered and very generous hosts.
Wonderful day today with Thomas and Andrea. We were 16 adults traveling through Tuscany. We were picked up at our villa and spent 6 hours touring 2 local vineyards. Included tastings (7 in total) and lunch. Absolutely wonderful day with two great people. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see local people and not the tourist traps!
It was a magical day to see where the wines are made, to hear the history of the families and the properties and to taste such delicious wines and food!
Bravo! This was a wonderful relaxing afternoon away from busy Lucca. Tommuaso and Raffaele did the driving and shared so much information about the region and 2 family owned wineries and their processes. A delicious authentic lunch was provided in the middle of the vineyard and of course plenty of wine sampling through the day. Lovely views -- it was the highlight of our trip to Lucca!
We’ve been on a number of wine tours over the years, both in the UK and Europe, but I would put this at the top. This is in no small measure due to our host for the day - Tomasso. His English was excellent, his knowledge extensive and he was quite lovely and charming. He took time to find out about the 6 of us in our group, he was personable and unhurried at all times. When he found out one of us had a birthday that day he discreetly phoned ahead to Tanuta Mareli where at the end of our tour Francesca amazingly produced a lovely surprise cake and candle made by her daughter. We visited two wineries and experienced 5 different wines at each, gradually transitioning through white/rosé to light reds to medium/heavy reds. All were organically produced. We were treated to the most beautiful food for our lunch at the Tenuta Mareli winery all sourced and produced by Francesca. It was a wonderful day.
Absolutely enjoyable day. Each winery/vineyard was unique with excellent, personable hosts who are authentically passionate about wine. All the tastings were exceptional and we were excited to order some bottles to have back home. Thanks to our wonderful, adorable guide, Raphael, wine maker Francesco and F.lil di Urbani guide Francesca. You all made the day perfect!
A brilliant wine tour. The guide was fantastic and both of the hosts were welcoming and very knowledgable. I would recommend this tour highly.
Fantastic wine tour with the most enthusiastic driver Raphael taking us to two beautiful vineyards one old and another new. Big recommendation to the orange wine. What a revelation - thank you for the experience xx
10000/10 experience. Raffaele was beyond knowledge, fun and a great time. The winery’s we visited game the most authentic experience, were historic and gave such a sense of family. We came during train strikes and couldn’t take our train out after the tour and raffaele helped us get on the last bus out of the city and made sure the bus waited for us! He went above and beyond . All wineries were prepared with amazing home cooked light lunches! Would recommend over and over again.
We had a great guide in Marco, he was knowledgeable about the area and the wineries we visited. We also got lucky with our tour companions who were 3 English ladies, one of whom lives in Gibraltar. The first place we visited was terrific - Tenuta Adamo. The rose was really good, vibrant but moderately dry with a hint of fruit. The white was also good but the slightly chilled Sangiovese blend was a strong follow up act and from there we went to more fuller bodied dry Sangiovese wines. All excellent. The second place we visited id rather not remember at all. It was small organic and the wine seemed second rate compared with the first place. The tour is great but I’m hoping Marco and company switch out winery 2 for something better because then it really have would have been a 5/5 experience.
We enjoyed the small group tour, visiting 2 wineries in the Lucca area. Both were absolutely wonderful vineyards. Marco was a great tour guide, translating when we needed help, and sharing his knowledge of the region. We went to a vineyard I hoped to visit, Tenuta Adamo and a family owned winery, Tenuta Mareli. Wine was wonderful and so with the olive oil!! This tour did not disappoint, and we enjoyed having so,wine navigate the region roads in a very comfortable van. Thank you for an enjoyable tour!!!
The tour guide was knowledgeable nice and funny and knew cool wineries to try..was a great experience..would recommend to beginners or experts
What a genuine, authentic and informative trip! My wife and I booked the trip whilst being out in Viareggio for a few days and weren’t sure what to expect. Sadly, our tour guide (Tommaso) told us the trip might not go ahead because we were the only couple booked on it (god knows how). He managed to pull some strings and our original group tour got turned into a private tour just for us! It was unbelievably easy to get into Lucca from Viareggio (so if you’re not staying in Lucca, don’t let it put you off) and Tommaso was an absolute delight right from the start and had us hooked at Merlot - really passionate about his job and kept all of the information he gave us engaging and interesting. It was like being driven round Lucca by an old friend. After confirming we were there for the right reisling, we stopped off to smell the rosé at Cantina Biagiotti and were shown around by Francesco, who was also a real pleasure to spend the morning with. He gave us a tour of the vineyard and then the production process in the winery. We then tasted what can only be described as the nicest wine I have ever tasted and, as someone who isn’t much of a wine-nerd, I feel fully converted. The history of Cantina Biagiotti is honestly so beautiful. Big fan. From here, we headed to the other side of Lucca and met Julia who talked us through our second winery and treated us to lunch, which was all locally sourced and grown - we felt like real locals and Julia made us feel like family while we were there. If you do any tour while you’re in Tuscany, for the love of god, make it this one! Tommaso, stay in touch! What a fantastic day out!
We all really enjoyed our visits to the two wineries, however, we saw that other tables at Adamo were given snacks and when we asked why we had not, we were told that they were on another tour which we found confusing. Otherwise, it was a lovely day and both wineries are beautiful.
Very highly recommended! This is a fantastic tour in a beautiful part of Tuscany. The whole experience felt relaxed and homely, like spending a day with a group of friends. There was no rush at all; we could take our time and truly enjoy the wine and our surroundings. We visited two local vineyards, and it was nothing like the big, industrial wine tastings that are often found on larger tours – this felt personal, authentic, and special. The wines were excellent, with generous and varied tastings, and the food pairings were more than just snacks – truly delicious and abundant. Our guide, Tomasso, was exceptional. Down to earth, knowledgeable, and passionate. He gave a great summary of the region’s history and made the whole day feel warm and welcoming. All in all, a memorable and genuine Tuscan experience. Don’t miss it!
Our group of four had a fabulous time. Thank you Raffaele for sharing your knowledge of the area and recommendations of local restaurants. The winemaker’s passion for their processes was obvious. Beautiful wines paired with delicious foods. This was a memorable experience that we would highly recommend!! Roman would be happy to return and help with stomping of the grapes 😂
Our vineyard tour in Lucca was a highlight of our trip! We had a group of 12 and were easily accommodated. Our driver was incredibly knowledgeable - we got a fascinating history lesson as we drove through the Tuscan countryside. The wine and olive oil were so good we ended up bringing some home. Highly recommend!
This was a fun and unique small group wine tour. We were able to meet a farmer and his child to learn about the winery! We went to small family run wineries that were intimate and complimented each other well. Tomasso was a great guide who made the day special.
Brilliant chilled day out with 6 new friends and Rafa, our guide. 2 great small wineries run by young and enthusiastic wine makers. Great hosts. Top food and of course great Sangiovese!
It was fabulous. Both vineyards were a delight & the food (bread with olive oil, meats & cheese) were a perfect accompaniment for the wines we sampled at both. It is an absolute must if you visit Lucca & love wine!! Transportation was really nice & guides very knowledgeable.
This was a wonderful experience all around. Our guides were great and the wine hosts were informative and interesting. We saw two very different establishments and sampled local wines. Both vineyards are close to Lucca so very little travel time even though we were up on the hills with beautiful countryside views. A perfect way to spend the afternoon.
I would highly recommend the Tuscan Wine Tour to anyone visiting the area. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Both wineries were very good. Both unique in their own way. Staff were very friendly and informed. Raffaele was an excellent tour guide and driver. He made the tour relaxed and enjoyable. A must do when in Lucca.
We tasted 5 incredible wines at the first winery, the hosts were fantastic and the views were absolutely stunning. At the second stop we sampled 3 wines and a lovely platter of meats and cheeses, with a sweet treat afterwards too, again the wines were fabulous and we went on to purchase another glass whilst there and took a bottle back to the hotel with us. The group was small and friendly and we had an unforgettable experience. Right from the start Raffaele was a great guide, he picked us up on time and shared lots of stories and knowledge throughout the day. We travelled back to Lucca a few days later after hearing so much about this wonderful place.
We took the 2 stop wine tasting tour with a light lunch. Both vineyards were small and very welcoming. We tried 3 wines at the first stop and then 4 at the next including the lunch. Both the wines and food were amazing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent day out.
The first stop was great but the tour was scheduled for 10-2 awe got back at 6. It was a great tour but too long. We had other things planned. I would have been good with only the first tour. Guide was engaging and taught us a lot but there was a lot of repetition.
This was a once in a lifetime experience. We were small group of four visiting Tuscany and one of our bucket list. Activities was to do a wine tour. We preferred visiting smaller, local family run vineyards, and could not have asked for more. Rafaella, our guide met us in Luca and while in transport to the first winery, talked us through the local history in Luca leading up to the importance of Wine in the Tuscany area. As we were headed towards the first vineyard. The two vineyards we visited were absolutely stunning, and we had the opportunity to hear the history of these vineyards directly from the owners. It’s Tuscany so the wine tasting was fantastic, but the vineyards themselves were magical. I strongly recommend this tour as it truly was one of the highlights of our vacation.
This Wine tour absolutely exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by Raffaele who arrived at our pickup point on time and proceeded to acclimate us with the local history of Lucca prior to sharing his knowledge of the local wine culture and the surrounding wineries. His passion and knowledge of all things wine in Tuscany was inviting, engaging and absolutely delightful. He proceeded to take us to two small wineries in the area which boosted, stunning views, incredible history, fantastic hosts at the winery and a sampling of some of best wine Tuscany has to offer. I cannot recommend this wine tour highly enough for a small group as it is a fantastic immersive experience all around. Big thanks to Raffaele who truly made this one of our best experiences while visiting Tuscany!
Relaxing experience with personal touch. Wineries were small and enjoyable and not far from Lucca. Fun day
The whole day was excellent! Thank you very much for everything that made our day so enjoyable. Today was your job, but you did it well and made our group feel like old friends. The wine, food, and many laughs throughout made the experience memorable. Julia and Francesca, too. Great people. Great times. Again, Grazie mille!
Travelled with my husband, sister and her husband. We all agree that Tommaso lead a very informative and exceptional tour. He included in depth history of Lucca along the way. The wineries that were chosen touched all the senses. Beautiful wineries, and a lovely drive through the Tuscany countryside. Each delicious glass of wine embodied the years of their family’s hard work and the love of their craft. Friends had recommended this tour to us, and now we highly recommend it to you.
