The company cancelled the tour at the last minute, after we were already on our way to the meeting point. Now we are struggling to get our refund. Would absolutely NOT recommend!

Excellent trip. John the driver and guide was amazing! Would recommend this tour. Great wine, nice van, great people.
This was a great experience! We booked at the last minute, and we went to a small winery where they served cheese and crackers, then the 2nd in Montalcino was a patio bar where we sampled 3 wines. Eat lunch beforehand and plan for the trip to go a little bit long and make the most of it, you’ll have a great time!
Would not recommend. Do not book. Operators did not show up and phone number was disconnected. Very dissapointed. Met couple with similar experience.
Our Tour Guy was fantastic, however the tour lasted for over 5 hours, as expected. BUT for the cost of the tour ..it was VERY VERY Disappointing...we got No food , only bread..Everyone on our tour , were starving.. time we got back..For the price of almost $200.00 each...it was Not worth it.
Tour seemed quite disorganized. Wineries didn’t seem to expect us when we arrived. Tours at wineries hard to understand speakers and information was rather supficial. Food accompanying wine was supposed to include cheese/meat, but did not…just white bread and olive oil. Tour was an hour late getting back to Siena. Also was supposed to be maximum 8 people but was almost twice that.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip through the Tuscany countryside. We met some lovely people that were also on our trip, and the visit to Montalcino was lovely. We visited 2 local small wineries and enjoyed our tastings. We thought there could’ve been a tad more food on the trays for the amount of people that were there. The driver was very friendly and I would definitely recommend this tour.
Our driver, Gent (not sure on spelling) was fantastic! He was a super safe driver and gave us a ton of information on our drive from Siena to Montalcino. The first winery had great views, decent wines, and the family who owned it was super nice. After that we had 25 mins to stop in the town of Montalcino, and we wished we had at least an hour. Finally we stopped at the last winery and it started off good but the woman serving us ended it rather rudely. She wouldn’t offer anyone a revisit of any wines and then she told us the tasting was over. When no one bought anything and started to walk out, she said “oh, I guess you hated our wines.” It was an odd ending to a good day. Also, the van we were in was in desperate need of new shocks and servicing. It was extremely bumpy on the gravel roads around the wineries. Overall, I think this tour needs some updates for me to recommend it. But we still had a nice time and our driver made it a fun, good experience!
Our guide, Giovanni, was incredible! He filled our hike with so many interesting facts about the flora and wildlife. Many stories were related from his interactions with his family and having traveled many parts of this trail. The group bonded and all had a great day together. The only caveat was finding, therefore missing, our first bus back to Siena.
Good driver of the minibus. Scenery to Montalcino was outstanding and the town itself was most interesting. The two vineyards we visited were interesting as on the first we saw the grapes being delivered to the winery and then being processed. Overall we tasted 5 wines. All were very pleasant. The overall trip took just over 5 hours.
We really enjoyed the first winery as it was more intimate and we could chat with the people that came with us on the bus. I also wanted to say thank you again to our driver who organized a taxi for us for 5am at our apartment this morning. We hadn't been able to sort one ourselves and it was a great relief to have him do this out of the kindness of his heart.
Wine tasting in Tuscany was even better than we expected! Johnnie (sp?) our driver was excellent, and the scenery was incredible. Thank you!!! - Steve and Becky Griffin, California, USA
Marco, our driver and guide, was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and shared great details. We were driven to two beautiful wineries and had time to explore Montalcino. It was a great trip and worth it.
Fantastic experience and amazing landscape within Tuscany countryside. The choice of winery were great and the explanation by the guides were very informative.
Very disappointing tour. I have used Viator several times before and always been pleased with their service however, this tour from Siena was dissapointing from the start. We were unable to identify our guide (having arrived 20 mins before departure as instructed). We left Siena 20 mins late due to above and then waiting for other guests who did not appear. We then travelled to 2 Vineyards which were nice to visit but the Tour itself was really limited to wine tasting. The wine was nice good but the snacks were poor, basically a bit of bread and cheese in one and crutons in the second ... The timings were completely wrong and we basically ran out of time and did not visit the hill town of Montalcino. This decision was agreed between the Group as we would only have had 15 mins to explore the town. We arrived back in Siena 30 mins late as it was. The driver was very apologetic. The whole experience was very disappointing to say the least.
Tastings lower on quality scale than expected. Poor management of schedule meant less time in Montalcino than desired.
3 others besides us on the van, all fellow Aussie’s and from Victoria the same as us. Talked a bit of footy being finals time. Driver was really nice and an excellent driver. Visited two wineries and had tastings which were both nice and very informative. Great way to see the Tuscan countryside and drink wine for an afternoon
My tour in Italy cancelled on us at 8pm the night before our tour. We had trains booked to meet the tour, and were really disappointed in the last minute cancellation. Don’t take the risk.
The highlights of the trip were the two wine tastings. Staff at both wineries were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our driver was simply an escort. During our van rides through the countryside he was silent and not forthcoming with any explanations of the countryside and/or wine (i.e., the significance of the area, information regarding Montalcino, wine making, etc.). Furthermore, we were driven in a commercial van promoting toilet accessories. Not certain why. His driving was unsafe and he was extremely inattentive to his surroundings.
Great pace. First vineyard was outstanding. Enjoyed learning about the Brunello history and process. Great walk around the town of Montalcino, would have loved a little more time there!
THIS IS A SCAM! Do not book! We purchased a small group tour, max. 8 passengers in a mini van. There were only 6 of us, but we booked for 8 so it would only be our group. On arrival, we were ushered into a giant bus with 40+ other people who had also purchased the “small group tour”. Customer service refuses to make it right and at least refund us the two completely unused tickets. Photo of the email is attached. As far as the “experience” itself - Drove for a hour - The first winery we visited was under construction and had wooden pallets of boxed wine all over the floor. Not enough glasses to go around for the tasting, and 2 toilets (one that flushed, the other did not) for 40 people. Another hour in the bus. The second winery was actually nice, but the bus took so long traveling country back roads we only had about 15 minutes there. Another hour in the bus. The third stop was supposed to be for an hour, again logistics of 40 people had taken so long we had 15 minutes and were back in the van. Another hour back in the bus, we arrived back 30 minutes late. Overall we were in the tour bus for 4+ hours to stop at 3 places for about 20mins each and given a few ounces of boxed wine, two slices of salami, and some croutons. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
We had a last minute substitute driver. He knew little English and got us turned around several times. The wineries were fine. We probably enjoyed our Chianti tour more.
Nice car ride with views to Montalcino, but the tour was a little bit lacking and did not fully match the description. When I see guided tour of Montalcino, I think that the guides are going to tell me about the city and the surroundings, at least during the drive, but they did not. The wineries we visited were very beautiful and the people were friendly and explained all about the wine making process. However, the wine pours were very small— maybe enough for 2 small sips and we didn’t have the option or time to have another glass if we wanted to. Our visit to Montalcino was very rushed and only 30 minutes. We would’ve liked more time to explore. Lastly, the description said we were to get olive oil and vinegar tastings and we didn’t. If you want a tour that provides a long car ride in the country, do it. If you are looking for more history and wine, I would not recommend this tour.
This was a great way to get out and see wine country. It was an easy meet-up, beautiful scenery, and we visited 2 gorgeous wineries + time to explore Montalcino. Would recommend!
The driver was professional and friendly and while I expected a long drive, the experiences at the wineries were just ok at the first and disappointing at the second. It seemed the host had better things to do and couldn’t wait for us to leave. I’ve done many wine tastings and these were the most meager pours I’ve seen. Good wines though. I don’t think the value was there for the cost of the excursion.
I booked and paid for a tour with a Spanish guide for 3 (2 of us just speak Spanish). When the guide turned up it was only an English tour and he didn’t speak Spanish at all. He was actually very nice and tried to speak to us in Italian. The agency ‘myTour in Italy’ never contacted us to let us know that the minimum number required for the Spanish tour hasn’t been met. They should of told us and let us make the decision or offer a refund. My sister and cousin didn’t get a clue of the tour explanations. Still waiting for an apology at least but nothing. Viator didn’t do anything about my claim, still waiting as well.
The driver Maximilian was very kind. The two wineries were excellent, especially the 2nd one. Both places had wonderful wine. The views from the 2nd winery were what you see in pictures. Absolutely beautiful!
Overall the experience was fun but you spend more time in the bus than the actual winery. The company really needs to do better at communicating and figuring out a pickup location. My wife and I spent 20 mins waiting at the “pick up location” given to us by the company only to find out that the driver was a half mile down the road waiting on us. It wasn’t only us it seemed to happen to everyone riding with us that day.
The 2 wineries were small intimate out of the way, and unique, and the wine was fabulous! I also loved the hill town, Montalcino. I appreciated our guide who was friendly and knowledgeable.
Small group of people. Very compatible. The two wineries were different. The Brunello wine was great. I was glad To sit up front with the guide who answered all of my questions. I especially was happy about his dropping me off much closer to Home than the meeting point.
The trip was fantastic! On the way over, our tour guide, Daniel, provided us with a rich history of the area. He answered our questions. He also explained the intricacies of Brunello wine. The drive in the Tuscan countryside was spectacular!! The two wineries that we visited were excellent! The sommelier at both were fantastic. I highly recommend this trip!
The whole overall experience was great, the knowledge of the winery employees, the scenery and of course the wine. Also our guide Vincent did an awesome job.
Had a hreat time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The wineries were nice. The wine tasting was good
Great trip! We visited 2 wineries then Montalcino at sunset, it was perfect. The half day trip was the perfect amount of time as well. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour. The guide was informative. These 2 vineyards were small and it was a relaxed and intimate tasting.
We had a great group and Daniel was a lovely guide with a good sense of humor. We were able to see two wineries, catch the sunset in Montcino, and have a pleasant ride back. The pick-up was a bit late, but we were able to do everything before it got too dark out.
Tasting the wines and seeing the countryside……………two really good families dedicated to making great wines
The tour itself is great, the wineries are perfect and lovely to visit. The small group size is also nice. However, please inquire on who your guide/driver is either before booking or before the cancellation period. If it is Romana, I highly recommend not going. She was highly unprofessional- she yelled at the group several times during the tour for various reasons like she perceived not everyone was listening to her in the drive out for example. She also yelled at the group for making her late to the second winery when two people purchased a bottle of wine at the end of the first tour (which really brought down the mood) & then proceeded to drive unsafely to the second winery (speed on dirt/gravel roads) to the point that workers at the second winery made comments about it as we arrived and also ensured we were in fact not late and were just fine on time. Some people on our tour inquired around about her and seems like she may have a history of this behavior. Mind blowing this is allowed to represent the company. Again, the places themselves are great so I’d imagine with a different driver/guide this would be a 5-star review, however we were unfortunate in being lead by Romana in our tour. Don’t make this same mistake.
Romana our driver was horrific, dangerous and possibly mentally ill. She forced us out of the car in a town we did not know on the way to the first winery and almost drove away with my daughter’s foot still on the concrete because we got lost in the town and did not know where to meet her, which caused her to be angry with us. She drove way over the speed limit scaring us almost to death and causing various people to honk at her incessantly. She took my daughter to a abandoned field to go to the toilet. She told us she would take us to our car and then went wild because she couldn’t find it screaming and yelling and scaring us. She cursed, rushed us, talked badly about the price of the tour, and ruined what should have been a good experience. The wineries were wonderful but we could not relax having to get back in the car with her. She should not be employed by this company.
Really really great experience - small group of people, and the way it’s organised means everyone gets a chance to connect. Wine was excellent, and winery owners/operators very informative. Romana was an amazing driver and guide - the best we had on our entire trip!
Really amazing wineries perfectly representing Brunello di Montalcino in differing ways. Great driver and quaint visit to the city pf Montalcino with breathtaking views of Tuscany landscape!
Great day was had by all. Guide Fabio was fantastic and went out of his way to make sure we were all happy. Wineries were great and very accommodating and the wine was lovely.
I think it was a great wine tasting tour. The guide was exellent and the farms and tastings very very good. Only 7 people in a small van also made it easy and enjoyable.
Daniel and Fabio were excellent drivers, expertly handling the winding roads. Daniel provided us with interesting details about the region, its history and the wines. Both of our wine tours were lively and engaging with large pours of excellent Brunello! We even were able to make a stop for pictures in the beautiful Val D’Orcia! Highly recommend this for your next stay in Tuscany!
The stunning countryside we drove through. The staff at the two wineries we visited were so knowledgeable and helpful. Paulo our driver was very informative giving a history of the region.
We had a blast on this tour. Beautiful vistas on the drive there, wonderful wine tasting, plus time carved out for photos of the countryside. Highly recommended!
A beautiful view on the drive and our driver stopping to visit a beautiful church overlooking a vast countryside. You could see one of the wineries we visited in the distance. Our driver was informative, friendly and fun. The two winery tours were fun, elegant and informative, conducted by knowledgable, pleasant hosts.
This was a scenic drive to two wonderful boutique wineries. The hosts were very informative and the wines were delicious. I highly recommend this tour.
Tasting the best wines in Tuscany.. our tour guide Carlo was great. He explained in details why the Brunello wines are known for its amazing taste.
Carlo was very informative, the only thing I might change would be add some time in the town of Montalchino. But, I do understand it’s just a half day tour. The wineries were great with so much information and history! Loved it.
