It was a beautiful tasting experience. Our host was knowledgeable and explained the different olive oils, balsamic vinegars and how and when to use them. We had a fantastic afternoon. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My husband and I did the Private Wine, Evo Oil, Balsamic Vinegar Experience & Truffle Meal on our honeymoon. The entire experience was amazing and the winery was absolutely beautiful. We ordered a lot of wine to send back home to the USA! We cannot wait to go back when we return.
This was a highlight of our time in Tuscany! It was a gorgeous day, the view is spectacular, the service was fantastic, and the food and wine were superb!
We had an amazing wine tasting experience with our family of 6 at Podere la Marronaia. It was a lovely day with the most beautiful landscape of the winery and views of San Gimignano. The wine, evo and balsamic vinegar was delicious, we even ordered some to send home. And the lunch to go along with it made it the perfect afternoon. The staff/family at the winery could not have been more lovely and welcoming. We’d highly recommend this experience!
We loved our visit to the winery! The setting was absolutely magical — so beautiful. The food was delicious and the wine, olive oil, and vinegar tastings were great fun and also delicious. Our server spoke perfect English and was so helpful and informative. We ordered several bottles to be shipped home and we would love to return and take a cooking class!
Postcard views, wonderful meal, excellent oils, vinegars, and wines. Our host was so helpful and answered our numerous questions. We had 6 wines offered with the meal and dessert and requested another that was just as good as the rest. We shipped oil, vinegar, and wine home, and are enjoying them. Will go back when we return to San Gimignano.
AMAZING! There were so many wonderful elements to our experience. This is a must if you are in the area and would like to experience some of the best Tuscany offers. The family has the most amazing property and views. We tried the aged balsamics, olive oils and finishing oils that are superior. I truly found the wines exceptional and I really appreciate the fact that things are beyond organic, they are biodynamic! The service was 5 star and I highly reccomend Podere La Marronaia!
This was such a highlight for us! We absolutely loved our wine and olive oil tasting along with a lovely Tuscan lunch! We sat on the patio ( a bit hot this day but we did have misters) and a view of San Gimignano! We enjoyed all the wines we tried and even tried some extra Rose’ that was on the house. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting was fabulous and we ordered some to take home and for delivery to our home in the states. Everyone was so friendly and did such a great job of explaining the wines and oils. We did the 1130 tasting and had plenty of time to go into San Gimignano for shopping afterwards. Highly recommend this tour!
Not what I expected. The place was near a big road so you could hear the cars driving by at high speeds, the tables are on oak barrels which are too high to sit at and too low to stand. We had a swarm of bees come to the table and the waiters did nothing except apologize. The appetizers they brought were dry, and pasta was better, but there was a lot to be desired. The cherry on top was the owner who told us we couldn’t get our money back for booking 4 people for the tasting when it was two kids and two adults. ( we had specified it in the notes, someone should have notified us of the mistake. BEFORE the visit). So I ended up paying for a wine tasting for 4. They did not even offer a free bottle of evoo for God’s sake. We have travelled the world and had many wine tastings, this one needed a lot more improvement. The quality of the wine was average at best. I don’t recommend. Save your money and time and try another place.
This was the first stop on the visit to Italy, and it set the perfect tone for a wonderful experience. From the delicious wines to the great food and add in the absolutely gorgeous views, you must experience this place. Whether you start your Italian adventure here or end it, nothing will take the stress out of you like an afternoon here.
The balsamic vinegars and olive oils were very tasty. The lunch was very good. The staff was helpful and the view of San Giamiagiano was spectacular. The only letdown was that there was no information about how any of the products were produced. We had hoped to understand oil and vinegar production and perhaps see some of the process. A nice afternoon, though.
If you ever find yourself within an hour's drive of this location, take the time to drop in and experience one of the most picturesque locations in Italy. This location is just outside of town and has at least two of my favorite wines from Italy. We have since finding this gem, ordered wine shipped to our door. The problem is when friends come to visit, we have to make another order due to the popularity of the products they produce.... But hey, that is what a great bottle of wine will do. See you all in May 2024! Joe, Jen, Chris, Wendy,
The grounds were beautiful. The waiter/server explained things quite well. The wine and oil and vinegars were quite good. The food was also amazing. I bought at least one bottle of everything we tried. Plus we could try other things. Delightful
The landscape was beautiful only topped by the wine and the food. Fabulous afternoon with our family.
I was on a mother-daughter-sister trip to Italy. Our guide recommended this spot for lunch and it was PHENOMENAL! We sat outside (July) looking over the gorgeous vineyard and eating / drinking delicious food and wine. What an incredible experience. Don't miss this special treasure!
The meal was wonderful and the scenery was magnificent. My only bit of unhappiness was the upsell for the wine and olive oil. We bought the olive oil box which was VERY expensive in our view, which was ok until we got an email say the price PLUS a 20euro handling fee. Once I saw that I tried to cancel. No luck. Lovely meal not happy with the sales practice afterwards.
Wine tasting and olive oil tasting. Fantastic Wonderful to see a family vineyard work hard to succeed
A fun and very tasteful experience, with a charming and informative guide. Recommended!
