Pisa: Beyond The Tower (30m Round-trip Tour)

We were just one afternoon in Pisa, and wanted a good experience besides just the tower photographs, so we booked this tour. The driver called back in the morning to ask whether we could consider going earlier as it was due to rain about the time we'd booked. We got there earlier, but not as early as to miss the rain! But our driver/guide still gave us the opportunity to continue despite the rain or cancel for a refund. Having decided with his encouragement to continue, we had a delightful tour of the other parts of Pisa that tower visitors only would miss. This was a brilliant tour, and the driver/guide could really not have been more helpful! He was excellent! A highly, highly recommended tour!

We only had a morning in Pisa so this was an excellent way to get an overview of the city and see the main sights in an hour. The guide was knowledgeable and good fun! Pick up place was easy to find, two minutes from the Tower and square. We had plenty of opportunitites to take photos and ask questions. Would highly recommend, particularly if you are short on time.

Such an amazing way to see parts of the city you wouldn’t normally see. Tour guide was great and very knowledgeable Would recommend everyone does this trip 👍👍

My husband and I enjoyed the experience. Our guide Elloise was very friendly and knowledgable. Her enthusiasm for her home city was evident throughout the tour which provided us with a wealth of interesting facts, (who knew there were so many leaning buildings!), we would otherwise have been unaware of. We would highly recommend taking an hour out to enjoy the trip when visiting the lovely city of Pisa.

We really enjoyed the Beyond the Tower City Eco Cart experience. The pick-up point was convenient, right beside the Tower, and we headed off on time. Our guide was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about the city. It was a great way to see many of Pisa’s main sights without having to walk around the whole city, which definitely helped saved our legs for climbing the tower of Pisa ! We stopped at two points of interest for a few minutes each, which gave us the opportunity to get off, have a look around and take some photos before continuing the tour. Overall, it was a good experience and a lovely way to see Pisa , My only criticism would be the price , I felt it was a little on the expensive side. If it were around €10 cheaper pp, I would say it would be much better value for money. However we enjoyed the experience and would recommend it

Excellent tour, driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. Saw lots of attractions we had missed on foot, and our driver explained about the history of the buildings.

It was a nice tour but nothing special. The guide was not rude or anything but had low energy and done nothing special or extra.

The activity did not meet our expectations. The audio guide system was not working, and the guide himself had very little interesting information to share. We ended up passing through the same streets several times, which made the experience quite disappointing. The only positive point was that the guide arrived on time at the meeting point.

Our guide was very relaxed, and we enjoyed being able to explore Pisa from the comfort of the multi seat golf cart. We would have appreciated much more commentary -rather than just pointing out various historical buildings and sharing a few facts, it would have been good to hear much more about the history, culture and traditions of Pisa (rather than just directing us to the city hall exhibition.

There was a lot of stopping and hopping around between changing carts after tour started and last-minute people getting on and off. It was a bit disruptive to flow of tour. Tour guide, Stephan(?), seemed very knowledgeable. The information shared was very interesting. Architecture was stunning. Appreciate the cart option.

A quick way to see everything in the area of Pisa. We were late due to flight issues but they still waited for us to do the tour.

This was a fabulous tour to show Pisa. Our driver, Anna, was fabulous. It is worth the time to see more of Pisa than just the iconic leaning Tower. She stopped at a plaza for us to get drinks and gelato for the ride. They went the extra mile for our family.

Aloisa was a fantastic tour guide, you can tell in her voice that she loves Pisa every much. We stopped at different stops to take pictures, learn the history and the stories about the building. It was great!

Excellent overview of parts of Pisa most tourists never see since they only focus on the Leaning Tower. A great chance to see so much more of this beautiful and historical city.

It’s a fantastic way to see a city without putting in too much walking. Our tour guide shared so much about the city, and if we hadn’t taken this tour, I’m not sure we would’ve explored that area. .

The tour is a very good way to see other parts of Pisa and to learn more about its history and major parts. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained the historical sites of the city, and why many buildings in Pisa are leaning. It is a good way to get to know Pisa in a short and laidback manner.

Well worth doing this and finding out more about Pisa. It also avoids the mass crowds around the tower. In addition, the beauty of this tour is that it’s by an electric buggy and meant that we didn’t have to walk around in the sweltering heat but could enjoy everything from the comfort of the vehicle!

Again, the directions were very hard to follow. Two different locations of trying to find tickets and no one was able to help. Spent 45 minutes running back-and-forth to different buildings trying to acquire the correct tickets. The actual tower and Cathedral are beautiful! Needed to have a lot more clearly stated directions, and location of where ticket pick up was located. Or even better have someone there to help out! There was no signage to direct us for the ticket pick up! Viator had no one there to direct us.

A good way to see and learn more about Pisa. There is more to see than just the Tower and Cathedral.

Certainly worth doing , was nice that we could stop and take pictures and pop in to some churches to take pictures x

Good fun and interesting to find out that there is much more to see and learn about in Pisa once you’ve been to the tower and if you’re keen to escape crowds. We were lucky to have a personalized tour and could ask our guide lots of questions. He was very knowledgeable and we were impressed by him.

This was a great way to see what else Pisa had to offer. Stefan was a great guide/driver. One person in our party had recently sprained an ankle. He was very good at getting into positions that minimized walking.

I cannot rate, as my booking was cancelled. I was notified on my phone at 2.30pm, my booking was for 2,00pm. The actual booking went smoothly and I will use your services again. Also, you advising me that I will be financially reimbursed gave me peace of mind. Thank you.

Our buggy guide was fantastic - very knowledgeable and engaging about Pisa and its history. We could hear everything clearly and enjoyed the humming in between - like gentle lift music😁. Thoroughly recommend as a gentle way to explore everything other than the tower area.

Good informal information about the city of Pisa. Tour was just about an hour long which was perfect amount to hear the highlights of the the town.

My husband has some problems with walking so we thought this was a wonderful way to see the centre of Pisa, but we were very impressed by this female driver/guide who spoke fluently English on how much information she gave us. So even for more physically fit persons than us, I will strongly recommend this tour!

This was the perfect way to get a taste of Pisa. Alicia was knowledgeable, giving us just enough information and history on each of our stops, without overloading us. We saw things we never would otherwise have seen. We really enjoyed the trip and would definitely recommend it.

It’s in a way more interesting to see the history and historical building than the tower which is also fascinating she was so knowledgeable and friendly and brought Pisa to life. Thanks you again for a wonderful experience. We now know the real Pisa.

We wanted to see the different places and not only the Tower. Stefano was a very nice guide who gave us a lot of explanations and useful tips regarding the typical places to eat.

The tour was fine and it was an easy way to get around the city. I would not want to do it again though as it was hard to hear the guide and did not show as much of the city as we had hoped.

We wanted to explore beyond the tower complex. The tour was perfect. We traveled on either side of the River Arno. Recommend.
