I cannot recommend this experience enough!! Elena and Giacomo were such gorgeous hosts and made us feel so welcome! We got to know Elena whilst having some drinks and appetisers before heading inside to learn how to make pasta. Elena explained everything so well and made it really enjoyable. After making we took a tour of their land whilst waiting for the pasta to cook and then sat and had lunch together as a group. As well as the pasta we also got wine, salami, cheese and a fruit salad. This was the last activity of our trip and Elena and Giacomo were kind enough to drive us to the airport afterwards rather than back to the pick up/drop off spot. Everyone staying in Pisa/Lucca or surrounding areas should absolutely book this class!!

This experience was absolutely perfect. Went with a group of six, picked up from Pisa and even driven to the airport after for our flight home. Giacamo and Elena are so welcoming, knowledgable and friendly, and the location is stunning. The class was so much fun, so well done and seamless and they make their guests feel very welcome. I would recommend to anyone visiting Pisa, it is a wonderful experience.
What a truly wonderful experience. We were made to feel so welcome. Our 6 year enjoyed the whole experience as much as we did. Worth every penny
Wow, what an amazing authentic Italian experience, the hosts were brilliant and went above and beyond, made me and my son feel so comfortable and very welcoming. The experience was all in all amazing, we learnt and tried new things. I highly recommend this if you want he heart of Italy
It was bargained for the price. The host are very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. fun and delicious.
Fabulous experience. Relaxed and adjusted to our needs the family could not be more welcoming. It was a perfect way to start our stay in Pisa. Lots of food, wine in a beautiful home with perfect host. Private cookery class worked for our three generation family, would highly recommend.
This experience was amazing. Elena and Giacomo welcomed us into their home with enthusiasm and warmth. It was more than just a pasta cooking class, it was like being part of their family for the afternoon. Sharing our family stories around the fireplace, walking in the gardens and looking at the chickens was simply wonderful. We highly highly recommend this experience. P.S. Mateo visit your mama.
The day spent with Helene and Giacomo was the best part of our trip. They were perfect hosts. We enjoyed our time with them and all the food and drinks they shared. My best advice is BOOK THIS!
This is a MUST DO! The entire experience was so thoughtful, fun, and insightful! The attention to detail, the delicious apps and pasta, the conversations - it was absolutely my favorite trip excursion to date! If you're looking for a pasta making class and you're anywhere near Pisa, do this one!
Had a wonderful time learning how to make pasta. Really enjoyed spending time with Elena and Giacomo. They a both very helpful and hospitable. Would recommend this experience
This was the highlight of our trip! Giacomo and Elena were so welcoming to their home and the food was incredible.
We highly recommend this wonderful experience and kindness of this beautiful family that welcomed us in to their home. We will have such great memories of our pasta making / shared dinner together. Thank you!!
My husband and I spent 2 weeks traveling throughout the Mediterranean and this experience was the highlight of our trip!! Communication before arriving was consistently timely and personalized. Pickup was convenient, easy, and right on time. From the moment Helena picked us up, we felt welcomed and invited. It was just the two of us in the class -- and it was not like a "classroom" at all, but like a gathering with family. We spent the afternoon with Helena and Giacomo in their kitchen and on their beautiful organic farm. We learned so much about the land, the culture, and the food of the region, and of course about pasta making! They set an absolutely incredible table under the trees on the property overlooking the Tuscan hillside where we shared the lunch we made together along with other local delights. The pasta fed our bellies and the experience fed our hearts. Thank you Helena and Giacomo for a beautiful experience that we treasure for a lifetime and knowledge that we will share with our kids and family back home.
The most amazing day learning not just about pasta but the love of food and nature. The lunch with friends and our hosts was exceptional. One of the most memorable days of our trip and strongly recommend.
What an incredible experience at a beautiful farm in Tuscany where the entire family spend the day with you in their home on their farm. The past making is incredible, the food out of this world and the experience is mind blowing. Definitely recommended place to learn to make pasta and spend time with a Tuscan family.
My family decided to do the evening cooking class and it was one of our favorite experiences in Italy. It was such an authentic experience in an Italian home. We had delicious snacks from the local markets and the most delicious pasta, which we learned to make, as well as tasty wine! They were also accommodating of all dietary restrictions, which was great. Everyone was so welcoming and warm and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. We hope to come back and learn a new recipe!
Amazing pasta class! Started with some local bites and wine before moving into making pasta by hand. We also learned how to use a pasta maker machine and a few different styles of pasta! We left with full hearts and stomachs. Everything was well organized and the property was absolutely beautiful. The experience included pickup to/from Pisa which was super convenient. Great experience if you’re looking for something fun to do near Pisa or Lucca!
Great experience with the whole family and friends. The food was delicious and the wine the house was great
Loved it! Such a great experience. Food was great, wine was flowing, and their farm and family story is very special.
This was by far the best cooking class we’ve ever taken! Helena and Giacomo welcomed us like family, inviting us into their kitchen to make pasta by hand while sharing stories about their lives and listening to ours. Afterward, Giacomo gave us a tour of the farm (chickens included!) before we sat outside under the trees for an unforgettable meal—local cheeses, olives, bread, our homemade pasta with Helena’s sauces, meats, dessert, and espresso. It was so much more than cooking. They made us feel like part of their extended family. Of everything we saw and did in Italy, this is the experience we talk about—and miss—the most. Amazing people, incredible food, and a memory we’ll never forget. Thank you, Helena and Giacomo!
We only had one full day in Pisa. After seeing the tower we were picked up by Giacomo from central Pisa and driven to the farm. We were welcomed into their family home with local appetisers and wine and Elena told us about life on the farm and the local produce. Elena taught us how to make pasta by hand and using the pasta machine as well as different shapes. She then cooked a delicious meal using our pasta and we ate together with the couple outside with panoramic views of the local countryside. Thank you both for an unforgettable experience!
I cannot say enough good things about this experience. You start with a visit to an authentic Olive Tree grove where the inhabitants instruct you on the fine, hands-on technique of making pasta in their own kitchen. Then embark on a tour of the olive grove and organic farm while they cook up your pasta. Then to end the night, sit down to enjoy a fine, homemade dinner on a remote Tuscan hillside with gorgeous views. I cannot thank Giacomo, Elena, and Elvis enough. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Highly recommended.
What an experience!! We were collected by Elena in Pisa & brought back to her & Jakamo's beautiful home. We were given a beautiful taster of olives, pesto, pickled onions all grown either by themselves or their neighbours all accompanied by beautiful local wine. It was fascinating to hear Elena go through all the daily chores to keep their homelife running. Amazing people!! Next up was the pasta making. Elena walked us through all the steps & she was so articulate with her instructions that making the pasta was so very easy. While the results of our labour were cooking, we were given a guided tour around the property by Elvis who was staying with Elena & Jakamo, helping out for the summer. A lovely young man also. Then we got to eat our pasta & delicious homemade ice-cream all accompanied by beautiful wine with Elena, Jakamo & Elvis outside in the most beautiful scenic surroundings. We will never forget this wonderful experience & would highly recommend anyone to do it. Beautiful people, surroundings & food. Thank you Elena, Jakamo & Elvis for a truly amazing day xxx
Great family experience!! We had an amazing evening learning how to make pasta from a lovely host. Got a bit of background into the family and running of their farm. Learned about Italian culture at the same time as learning how to make lovely pasta. Great hosts - would go back and do it again in a minute !! Many thanks
Jacamo and Elena are really friendly and welcoming, chatting about their family life, their careers and their organic small holding. They drove us to their home from Pisa centre. The aperitivo were beautiful, homemade pesto, olives, bread and wine were delightful. Elena had set up the kitchen ready with a station for each person, she was really helpful and guided us through each stage of the pasta making. She expertly handled 5 different peoples ability and stages of pasta making with ease. They are part of an organisation that supports volunteers coming to work on organic farms and their most recent volunteer gave us a tour of the property and to meet Lampo the donkey too. Whilst we looked around Elena cooked the food and we ate outside in the garden overlooking the valley. The spread of food was incredible, the smells were divine as was the taste. Pasta we had made with tomato sauce then cheeses, honey and salami and plenty of wine! Jacamo had made fresh ice cream for dessert which again was delicious. So with full bellies and big smiles they drove us back to the city. A truly special experience!
We were a group of 12 colleagues visiting Pisa as part of a team-building event, and this experience was hands-down the highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality. The setting is absolutely stunning — a beautiful, peaceful location that instantly made us feel relaxed and excited for the day ahead. The pasta-making session was not only fun and interactive, but also a wonderful bonding experience for our team. The hosts were fantastic — knowledgeable, passionate, and full of good humour, making the whole activity enjoyable from start to finish. A special shout-out to Helena for her incredible pesto — absolutely delicious! After making the pasta, we sat down together to enjoy a fabulous meal, all homemade with fresh ingredients from the farm and served with local wine. It felt more like being invited into someone’s home than a typical touristic activity — so personal and memorable. The entire day was organised seamlessly, and we really appreciated the attention to detail. It was clear how much the family cared about providing an authentic and enjoyable experience. If you’re visiting Pisa we can’t recommend this experience enough. It’s something we’ll all remember for years to come!
There is no other Tuscan experience that will be more authentic than this. Helena and Giacomo are incredibly kind hosts. They offer a plethora of Italian knowledge, world culture and heritage. This is not for anyone looking for something Pinterest perfect. This is their home and it is authentic and wonderful. Nearly all ingredients are either sourced from their farm or from their share/barter network of friends. The conversation was flowing and never stopped. It was truly the highlight of our 14 day European trip across 5 countries for all seven of us. I recommend them 100 times over but go to their direct site versus the middle man. Monte Spazzavento.
Wonderful time learning to make pasta at an Italian farmhouse. Helena and Giacomo were perfect hosts, sharing their home, food, and stories with us. Amazing Italian feast (using the pasta we made!) in a beautiful setting. We are looking forward to making pasta back at home, due to Helena’s patient and enjoyable teaching. This was such a special experience, went far beyond our expectations, and was a highlight of our trip to Italy!
What a fantastic time making pasta, drinking wine, having an amazing dinner and spending an evening with a wonderful family. Thank you Helena and Giacomo for making our visit so special. This is how to experience genuine Italian hospitality.
For a rainy day in Lucca, we wanted to do a fresh pasta cooking course and came to this one. Good and quick contact and connect, to arrange this on very short notice. We were picked up in Lucca by the owner to be driven to his family home about 20 mins away; where we were welcomed by Helena. Welcome was very warm and friendly with home grown olives, home made pasta, very local wine and some other snacks. Then she taught us everything (or at least a first start) how to make fresh pasta. Also a quick show of the farm and the land and garden. Together with the family we then had our freshly made pasta in an extremely warm and family setting. (And it tasted amazing as well!) Afterwards we were driven back to Lucca again. If you are looking for a warm, family and local experience, where you really will enjoy Tuscan welcome, food and sphere, look no further, Giacomo and Helena (and their family and sometimes some volunteers) will give you the lunch or dinner of the trip!
Our experience with Spazzavento was unbelievable! Our hosts for the day were so welcoming. We had so many questions for them. We started with some wine and snacks and then got into the pasta making. Dante was great in explaining each step. Then after all of our "hard" work, we got to eat lunch with the family.
We had a great evening at this pasta making class! The setting was beautiful at their family farm, and the entire experience felt so personal. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. We learned a lot and not just about pasta making but also the local produce. The pasta was of course delicious! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true taste of Italy. Thank you to Dario, Helena and Giacomo for welcoming us.
This class was the highlight of our trip! We enjoyed every moment of it from the pasta making to the tour of the farm. Amazing family! Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic h
It was very nice! It’s a nice location and the family is lovely! You get enough good food and drinks and tips about Toscany! Great experience!
BOOK THIS CLASS!! The most authentic, beautiful experience I’ve had. It is private which makes it so intimate, and the family are so welcoming and lovely. They pick you up and drop you back off. The whole experience is so relaxed and beautiful, they show you around their stunning farm where they grow everything and all of their animals. The views are incredible and the setting is stunning. The pasta making is so much fun and suitable for all levels and abilities. I would honestly recommend this experience to absolutely everyone so so glad we added this into our trip. I will remember this special evening forever!
