What a fantastic experience! Our food tour in Pisa was easily a 10/10, and SASHA was a big reason why. She was absolutely amazing—personable, knowledgeable, funny, and just so easy to connect with. It felt more like spending the day with a friend than being on a guided tour. We had such a great time exploring, enjoying the food, and learning about the area. Sasha made the entire experience fun and memorable. We will absolutely be passing her information along to friends visiting the area, and if we ever find ourselves back in Pisa, we will definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommend! 10/10!

Itinerary
Meet your tour leader at the meeting point, the food adventure begins! We always choose the best dishes, aiming to introduce you to our traditions, suggest the best restaurants and make you live the best culinary experience ever.
Our food tour begins along the scenic Lungarno, where we’ll stop at one of the city’s oldest wine bars to enjoy famous Tuscan cured meats paired with a glass of fine local red wine, soaking in the views of the Arno as the perfect start to our culinary journey.
Next, we’ll make a stop near Palazzo Agostini, where you’ll have the chance to taste the not-to-be-missed Pici. This traditional Tuscan pasta is made by hand-rolling thick, rustic strands of dough, resembling a heartier version of spaghetti. Often served with hearty sauces, like meat ragu or a simple mix of olive oil, garlic, and cheese, its chewy texture and ability to absorb rich flavors make it a true staple of Tuscan cuisine.
Pisa is also renowned for its cecina, a delicious savory flatbread. In the lively Ponte di Mezzo area, you’ll have the chance to try this traditional treat at a local pizzeria. Made from a simple yet flavorful batter of chickpea flour, water, salt, and olive oil and baked to golden perfection, it’s a true taste of Pisa’s culinary tradition.
What better way to wrap up the tour than with a sweet treat? Whether it’s artisan gelato or a traditional local cake, you’ll end the experience on a delicious note, a perfect farewell to your time in Pisa.

This was a phenomenal food tour. The food was plentiful and delicious. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly; he made us feel very comfortable and ensured we had a great time! We’d highly recommend this.
We had the most wonderful time with Sacha! ❤️ She didn’t just take us on a food tour; she made us feel like friends from the very beginning. Her warmth, humour and genuine kindness made the whole experience truly special. We discovered delicious local food, hidden gems and a little piece of Pisa through her eyes. We finished the tour with full stomachs, big smiles and the feeling that we had made a new friend. 🥰 Thank you, Sacha, for such a beautiful experience. We couldn’t recommend her enough! 🇮🇹💛
We had the most wonderful afternoon visiting several establishments with delicious food - all chosen by our fabulous guide, Sacha! She was instantly easy to know and felt like a family member! Her knowledge of the restaurants, cafés, markets, and historic sites is exceptional - and she delivers it all in such a friendly, fun way!
Fantastic food tour for our last day in Italy. Alessandra our guide was great, and the food picks were excellent.
We had a wonderful experience with Alessandra as we were the only 2 on the tour! She took us to wonderful restaurants and gave us history about Pisa. It was a very enjoyable and delicious tour!!
We were the only ones on the food tour which made it special. We were able to talk with our wonderful guide Alessandra as she took us to delicious places around Pisa. Also gave us some history regarding the city.
This was a thorough, informative tour led by Sasha. She brought us to wonderful restaurants/cafés, serving fresh & delicious food! Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
My wife and I had a lovely food tour of Pisa with Valentina. She was extremely interesting and helpful and we recommend her highly.
Restaurant hopping. Food info very basic with just descriptions of what you are eating. Was looking for authentic stories or history of food and the area. Guide was nice but very little information. Price not worth it. You could just google restaurants and cost would be less.
Sacha was a fantastic guide! We had the best time learning about Pisa and eating the best food together with her. Her humor and kindness was infectious. I highly recommend this tour!! We will be back!!
Melissa was an excellent guide. The food was amazing and the recommendations were fabulous
Giordano was an amazing guide! He was patient when we came running into the square. He had delightful stories about the region, and we ate absolutely spectacular local cuisine. He was personable, helped a family running late find us at the first stop, and soon had all of us chatting like old friends. We are on day 4 of our Mediterranean cruise, and this was, by far, the BEST time we have had all vacation! We will highly recommend Giordano and this tour to everyone we know, and everyone we meet! Thank you for a relaxed, local experience. It was exactly what we were looking for, and with any luck, we'll be back for this experience again! The Laceys
Sacha was amazing!! She has such a wonderful vibe, and made our Pisa food tour very memorable. The food was excellent!! She was even kind enough to give me food recommendations for the second leg of our trip!
We had an amazing experience on this food tour. Our guide, Corrado, was incredibly knowledgeable about Pisa's history, culture, and local food scene, which made every stop even more interesting. What really stood out was how well he engaged with everyone in the group. He made it easy for everyone to interact, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout the tour. He was also very accommodating of food allergies, making sure everyone could enjoy the experience without feeling like they were missing out. The food was outstanding—every stop offered something delicious and authentic, and we left feeling like we had truly experienced the local cuisine rather than just sampled tourist spots. If you're visiting Pisa and want a great introduction to the city's food and culture, I highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Corrado, for such a memorable day!
We were met by our very friendly tour guide and taken to 5 different food venues. Our guide was happy to swap foods if you didn't like them. A really memorable evening which I'm sure we won't forget.
This was a great tour with Valentina! There were so many foods we had not tried previously and she knew a lot about the local culture and history of the foods. We were so full by the end! Would highly recommend!
Our food tour in Pisa with Sacha Gilbert was one of the highlights of our entire vacation. From the moment we met her, her enthusiasm, warmth, and love for her city were contagious. She didn’t just take us to great food stops—she shared the history, culture, and traditions behind everything we tasted, making the experience feel authentic and personal. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed a delicious Tuscan platter with local meats and cheeses, incredible pici al ragù, traditional cecina, and some of the best gelato we’ve had in Italy. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen and showcased a different aspect of Tuscan cuisine. What truly sets Sacha apart is how much she genuinely cares about her guests. After the tour, she sent a detailed follow-up email with a recap of everything we tasted, recommendations for restaurants and food markets in Rome, and a heartfelt thank-you message. That level of dedication is rare and speaks volumes about the kind of guide and person she is. Sacha made everyone in our group feel welcome, and by the end of the afternoon she felt more like a friend than a tour guide. If you’re visiting Pisa and want an experience that combines amazing food, local insight, and unforgettable hospitality, don’t hesitate to book a tour with Sacha. You won’t regret it! Grazie mille, Sacha, for such a wonderful day and for sharing your beautiful city with us.
Absolutely brilliant! A great way to start the holiday in Pisa! No Google Maps needed - the tour guide ( Alessadra) was fantastic! Like having a friend to show us around and chat with while we ate fab food and met and dined in lovely restaurants that only locals would know about. Great walks / explanation of history of Pisa too. Great value for money. Highly recommend.
Sasha was simply amazing! Every stop on our tour was thoughtfully planned, and from the moment she arrived, she was prompt, professional, and incredibly engaging. From the start it felt like she was part of our family rather than someone we had just met. At each location, the owners clearly adored her. They took the time to share the stories behind their venues and food, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Sasha's passion for what she does shines through in every aspect of the experience, and it made all the difference. This was, without question, my favorite excursion of our trip. Sasha reminded us that there are still genuinely kind people in the world. She even went above and beyond by recommending restaurants for our next stop in Rome, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food at every stop was outstanding. One thing I learned on this tour is not to ask what I'm eating until afterward—I wanted to experience each dish without any preconceived notions or bias. It made the experience even more enjoyable, and I discovered flavors I may have otherwise overlooked. If you're considering booking a tour with Sasha, don't hesitate. You'll leave with wonderful memories, amazing food experiences, and the feeling that you've spent the day with a friend.
This was another great Viator tour. Our guide knew a lot about local food and wine. The food was very plentiful. 1st a charcuterie board with drinks. The choices of meats was enjoyable, then 2nd was a great restaurant where we had our choice of several pastas (in a really neat cavelike restaurant), 3rd we were treated to the street food Celina. ( crispy and good), finally 4th was wonderful gelato. The guide had a great personality, and we had lots of laughs. I highly recommend this tour.
Sacha was fantastic, very knowledgeable and fun to be with, We shared lots of stories and kelt like we had made a new best friend.
Very enjoyable. Good food, wine and knowledgeable host. History was also included and we did a quick side trip to buy something that I had been looking for. So glad we decided to make this part of our vacation. Our host was amazing!
One of the best food-tours we did so far. We had a lovely guide (Alessandra) and she explained everything so nicely. The food and places we visited were also amazing. Kudos! From Belgium
Annalisa gave us a wonderful walk through various parts of Pisa, with some interesting discussion of culture and history. We stopped at an osteria for an amazing spread of local meats, cheeses and breads. It was delicious. Next, we went to a beautiful place for some amazing pasta, and then another for some street food. Last but not least, we went to a Gelateria for an outstanding dolce. We were so impressed with everything (and our stomachs were very full). We enjoyed it very much…and Annalisa gave us a wonderful recommendation for pizza 🍕. We LOVED it. Thank you so much Annalisa!
Sasha was a great guide. You are pretty much in a small area with walking and hearing about Pisa and it's food. Come hungry. Like skip breakfast hungry. There is a lot of food and normal portions not just a small bite and different stops. I definitely recommend this tour.
Alessandra was an absolute gem of a guide! She selected charming places to eat: a corner cafe, a delightful locals’ restaurant, a street food vendor and of course a top notch gelato shop with most unusual flavours to finish. She explained each course and interjected snippets of information about the city as we walked between venues. The food was excellent. We didn’t have to walk too far but comfortable shoes are always advisable. The tour was at a leisurely pace leaving time to eat chat and take in the surroundings.
You cannot have the full Pisa experience without joining this Food Tour. Sacha did such an amazing job as a guide talking us through the food and some background on Pisa. The experience truly surpassed anything I could imagine. Excellent food that I am still thinking about and an excellent tour guide in Sacha made this a very memorable experience.
We had an amazing time with Sacha ! I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Sacha was fun and friendly, the places we went were just delicious. I still can’t get over the meat platter we had in the first place, I might even come back just for this. Thank you Sacha for your generosity we had the best time!!!!! Definitely the highlight of our time in Pisa Sara
Giordano was an excellent tour guide showing and explaining the foods and history of Pisa. The balance of food at the 5 stops was magnificent. I would highly recommend using Giordano for this tour. His pace throughout was perfect
Very nice tour with skilled and friendly guide.
This is an incredible tour - highly recommend! Corrado was brilliant - so lovely and such great local knowledge. You get an amazing amount of food at many different restaurants and it’s a great way to see the city too. Thank you Corrado!
I had an absolutely incredible time on this food tour in Pisa! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully curated and full of charm. A huge thank you to Sacha, who made the entire experience feel so personal, relaxed, and genuinely fun. It never felt like a standard tour—more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend who knows all the best spots. The food and wine stops were outstanding, each one offering something unique and delicious. From authentic local flavors to perfectly paired wines, every stop was a highlight in its own way. You can really tell how much care went into selecting places that showcase the best of Pisa’s culinary scene. On top of that, the surroundings were simply stunning. Wandering through beautiful streets, soaking in the atmosphere, and sharing the experience with such great company made it all the more special. I can’t recommend this tour enough—fantastic food, amazing wine, a beautiful setting, and a guide who truly makes it unforgettable. Thank you again, Sacha!
Wonderful experience with Corrado. Delicious food, knowledgeable and friendly guide, overall excellent experience and would highly recommend
You absolutely should do this tour if you have any time in Pisa. The food is fantastic and there’s plenty of it! We added the drinks card and had two beautiful red and white wines, as well as a beer. Annalisa was a font of information about Pisa and Italy in general. She coordinated the group brilliantly and is lovely to chat to. Highly recommend!
Our entire family enjoyed the food and company. Great blend of food and culture.
Annalisa was an amazing host. We had a great afternoon with her. Highly recommend this tour.
We had a fantastic tour lots of very informative information and amazing food
Our guide, Valentina, took us to places where we got to try authentic cuisine and introduced us to local favorites. Everything was delicious and we were so full afterwards! She gave us reccomendations for other restaurants that have been amazing as well!
My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. It wound up just being the two of us with our guide Alessandra. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, and unique to the area. We absolutely would book the tour or any tour with Alessandra again!
My wife and I had an amazing time on this tour. Our guide, Giordano, was exceptional: super knowledgeable and friendly. And of course, all the food was fantastic. This is the perfect way to introduce yourself to Pisa’s cuisine and culture. Highly recommend!
Yessss, yesssss, yesssss!!!! This was an amazing tour the my group absolutely loved and it was so fabulous that I convinced my husband that we may need a long weekend trip to Pisa just to do it again!!
We had a great food tour around Pisa city center. The food we tried was excellent and very delicious. Our guide Giordano made a great choice of places to go and he always made sure we were alright 😊 We definitely recommend taking a food tour with Giordano 👍🏻
Great to taste all of the local foods from several stops along the way and hear more about their history of the dishes! Wine/beer is included, but you can opt for more if you want….
Underwhelming. The tour is not for foodies. We expected more of a culinary experience. Instead we went to a street side “deli” for the charcuterie and a fast food stand for the meat portion of the tour. We ate a small portion of meat on paper plates. For the 2nd course, we visited a nicer restaurant for the pasta. That was good, but uninspiring. We capped it off with a stop at a gelato shop for dessert. There’s gelato shops on every corner in Italy. Nothing remarkable. I wasn’t allowed to choose an ice cream sandwich since it was slightly more expensive than a single scoop cone. All the places we visited were better suited for college kids on a budget. I expected way better than the $272 cost. Another example of a dumb tourist being ripped off. Who don’t I contact for a refund? No value for the price.
Alessandra was absolutely magnificent! We had such a wonderful time on our tour wonderful food absolutely delicious and lots of it! Also made some new friends! I absolutely recommend this tour!
My cousin and I were the only ones on this tour. We really enjoyed having a “private tour”. Alessandra was a great your guide. I enjoyed all of the food on the tour. Most visitors go to Pisa to just see the tower. This tour takes you around the town. There was so much to see. I would highly recommend taking this tour.
We had a fantastic time from start to finish. Giordano was very friendly and knowledgeable and made the day for us. We loved trying the local food and going to places slightly off the tourist map and trying local cuisine. It was exactly what we hoped for and more. Would highly recommend if you are a foodie and definitely do not eat, preferably for a day before it, as there is so much food!
Giordano was a great host for this food tour. Very knowledgeable, friendly and laid back. We would have never seen some of the areas that he brought us if it wasn't for the tour. We ended up going back that evening to explore more. Highly recommend a food tour in Italy.
Everyone in our group absolutely loved this tour—it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon in Pisa! (We did the food tour with the wine add on.) Our guide, was professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We were taken to a charming local part of the city, which made the experience! Before we started, our guide asked about our food allergies, and was able to accommodate those. The food was plentiful and delicious (no dinner reservation needed afterward!), and the whole experience felt immersive and welcoming.
