Lucca: Wine Tasting Experience - Tenuta Adamo Winery

Great value for money, beautiful location and a friendly team. We got to enjoy the grounds after the tour

Fantastic relaxed experience being shown all about the wines and how to taste them with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Great value with the opportunity to buy sharing boards of cheeses or charcuterie and cheeses ( also great value) if you wanted them. NB the venue definitely does not arrange transport. No buses on a Sunday. We ordered a taxi from our hotel In Lucca and shared a taxi with another couple for our return. ( ordered by the venue. ) Absolutely wonderful morning though.

Was a joy to tour and taste. Amazing the wonderful people u meet from all over the world. View is beautiful, wine is awesome Taxi from in Luca was about 38 euro. Very nice couple from the tasting gave us a ride back in town ended up having a very enjoyable evening visiting with them

It was good but not as in depth as other wine tours. We didn’t chose the option for food but would have appreciated the option to buy food once we got there given the distance we had to travel to get there. The host was ok but didn’t understand a lot as his presentation lacked structure and the accent was thick.

Small and personal experience. It was a nice break from our trip to Florence. Lucca is a great village with very nice people.

I don’t usually write reviews but felt the need to this time. If you’re holidaying in Lucca, this is a great way to spend an afternoon. The whole tour was relaxing, informal and informative. Everyone was made to feel very welcome & the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. An easy 5* for me and I would definitely recommend to anyone who’s thinking of a Tuscan winery tour.

It was a wonderful experience once we got to The winery, there was a small miscommunication with the transfer to Adamo but Antonio was able to to pick us up and we enjoyed all the experience from our two guides/ sommeliers . The wines were delicious and learned very interesting facts about each one that we savor , we also had the board of meats and cheeses which complemented the whole experience. Thank you for a wonderful day and definitely will recommend it.

We arranged transportation to and from the vineyard directly with them which was very easy. We loved the whole experience of the wine tour and the views are so lovely. Very good value for money and I would definitely recommend.

Very informative and enjoyable experience visiting this beautiful winery. The wines were excellent and paired well with a meat and cheese platter. The surrounding were breathtakingly beautiful.

This is the second time we've done this tasting. The staff is wonderful! The wine is great and the explanations are spot on. This isn't a rushed tasting but a relaxed and beautiful setting.

We had a wonderful experience learning about the wines at Tenuta Adamo. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the wine was delicious. If you are not familiar with the area it is okay to drive over the bridge, we were confused at first but once you drive up to the winery there was plenty of space to park.

Very pleasant and interesting experience- our young host were very nice and told us enthusiastic about the winery and its history- I can recommend the place 🍷🍷🍷

The tour was quite short but packed with interesting information, and they were happy to answer any questions we had. We got to try five wines (one rosé, one white and three reds), along with their own olive oil and fresh bread, which were all delicious. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, and they even arranged transport to and from the winery, which made everything so easy. There was no rush to leave once the wine tasting had finished either. Beautiful views!

Nice tour with a tour of the facilities and a presentation and tasting of one rose, one white and 3 red wines. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Recommend it, since it has a very nice location with great views.

It is a fabulous tour of the winery with samples of 4-5 different wines. We enjoyed bread and olive oil from there, and upgraded to the meat and cheese tray! So glad we did! Our sommelier (I think his name was Giosue), enjoyed his role.

Had a fab time at the vineyard! Was such a relaxing and informative day! Tried 5 wines, and we were told all about them and about the vineyard! Brilliant day for couples or groups! Beautiful setting, met some great people and all ths staff there were so lovely, warm and welcoming!!

Had a great experience at this winery. They offered pick-up transportation which made everything really easy, and the driver was super friendly! The winery grounds and views overlooking the Tuscan hills were so beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and the wines were excellent, smooth and perfectly paired with fresh bread and olive oil. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Tuscany for a day trip!

The winery is located beautifully on a hillside, just a bus ride away from Lucca. We tasted 5 wines and their own olive oil. Our wonderful guide/sommelier showed us the production area and explained the whole process of making the different wines. Very interesting and informative - no need for deep knowledge of winemaking to enjoy this tasting! We joined another small group, making it an intimate, social and good experience. Delicious wine, skilled and friendly staff - would absolutely recommend!

Very close to Lucca, smaller vineyard and quaint feel in the foothills. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and made us feel at home. We had an issue with the Italy rails given a national strike day, and Antonio walked me through taxi options and even drove us back to the rail station for a small fee. It was a great 2 hour tour and wine tasting experience and made us international travelers feel at home. A wonderful short excursion and well worth the money and time spent. Would recommend to others who are looking for something shorter than 4-5 hours but to experience Tuscany vineyards.

This was just what we needed after a hectic travel day! The views are amazing, and the host staff is kind and helpful. Note that the last part of the drive up is steep, but not a problem. Just stay calm.

Close to Lucca, lovely views , enthusiastic staff but a bit overpriced compared to similar offerings in Tuscany, Livorno, Umbria etc , having regard to visit content and wine quality.

Beautiful wines, stunning surroundings and the opportunity to speak with people from all over the world. I love that the wines are not “mass produced” small production and the difference is clearly there.

We went here as a last second decision and it was maybe the highlight of our week long trip to Italy. The staff were very accommodating and even offered to drive us back into town after the tasting ended. As for the tasting and tour, it exceeded our expectations. Definitely spring for the option of meat and cheese with the bread and oil. May the grace and peace of Christ be with you!

Very casual but fun. Sat with some lovely people from all over the world. Recommend they use different glasses for each pour. Beautiful view for photo ops! Olive oil was delicious!

Great wine tasting experience in a beautiful setting. David our host was very friendly and knowledgable. The only down side it was over €30 in a taxi to get there from Lucca because of this we planned to get a bus back but the next one was a 40min wait so we ended up getting a taxi back too. Possibly our fault for not planning better but something to bear in mind .

Tour was fairly quick and casual, which was nice because we brought our young kid. Location of the winery was ideal (close to Lucca) and views were gorgeous. Wine tasting was fun and pours were generous!

Fantastic couple of hours spent here. Learnt a lot about the wines produced from David who was very knowledgeable. Great for my father too who is 88 years old as not a lot of walking .

It was a beautiful day. The wine was delicious. If you have small children, bring a little activity for them to do. Although we lucked out because there was another family visiting the winery. It was good vibes all around. We recommend!

Great activity to do! The drive up is beautiful. You taste four wines and can add on a charcuterie board. The olive oil is divine!

We took the bus from Lucca, quite easy and followed the map for which stop to get off on. The return buses were not so frequent so we waited a while. A lively gentleman at the bottom of the hill offered for me to wait in his house by the fire..

Beautiful small and rustic winery set high on green hills among vineyards. Interesting brief tour and education of the wine making process. Loved our hostess Dahlia! Wines were wonderful and their homemade olive oil outstanding, which was served with warm fresh focaccia. We purchased both the wine and olive oil. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide, Gloria, was very knowledgeable on the wines and the history of this winery. The wines were excellent and we had an option of a charcuterie board to go with your wine tasting which was also very good.

Tour guide was so nice and knowledgeable. Explained everything very in depth to two Americans who knew little to nothing about wine.

Amazing tour and tasting! The staff were so kind and knowledgeable about the wine, the region, and the wine making progress. Amazing value for what you receive. Would highly recommend. Super easy to get to by bus from Lucca as well.
