The history of the castle was interesting. Tour guide was very good. Short distance from Montalcino. Nice wine tasting. If you have extra time in Montalcino, I would recommend it. However, if you are on a short time table, there are many winetasting events downtown Montalcino.
We had a great experience at the winery. Our guide was very informative about the history of the castle, the surrounding vineyard, as well as the harvesting and fermenting process. He made an effort to answer every question asked of him from members of our group. The sit-down wine tasting at the end wih cheese was a good finish.
A very average tour at best. Lots of background information on the castle, but the guide had little knowledge of wine apart from learned script, and virtually no information was given on production,quality and complexity of the wines. The wine tasting was extremely rushed and not professional in the least. An extremely disappoiting experience.
The tour was excellent due to the rich history of Castillo Tricerchi and huge thanks to the guide, Alice who was fantastic! The wine tasting was geld in a historic room of the castle that added even more charm to the excellent Brunello Tricerchi.
I’m sure that the tasting would been very good, but we canceled because it would have taken us over two hours by bus to get there. It is advertised as though you can take the train but there is no train going there.
Simple, rustic setting in an authentic, producing winery. Very personal experience. A great 1.5hr outing.
Interesting castle history although tour was short due to pouring rain. Wine tasting was great. The castle dog Nana was cute and got a lot of attention off everyone.
Overall i consider it average. Title rather misleading. No Vineyards tours. Nevertheless for the cost we have paid is OK
Lovely winery in beautiful grounds(1441 old castle) was a last minute decision as there is many options in the region but with more complex tastings, but this one was just right, winery itself is no older than 25 years but age doesn’t define this wine, our oenophile guide was a gentleman with perfect English, we were lucky as we were 3 and tour was quite exclusive ☺️, highly recommended!
The tour guide and wines were excellent, and the property was beautiful. The Viator description, however, overstates a bit—we only overlooked the vineyard, the tour of the “castle” basically is outside only, and the food accompanying the wines were tasting crackers.

A wonderful experience, learning about the area, vineyards and wine production from this beautiful, historic castle. The views across the valley are breathtaking. The guide was knowledgeable and a good story teller, setting the castle in both a historical perspective and in the modern day. The wines are simply the best!

This is a beautiful property, with a fascinating family history and a small production of the famous Brunello did Montalcino, among others. This was my second time - I wanted to come back as I was so fascinated. The lady conducting the tour was energetic and pleasant but she didn't know almost anything about the absolutely fascinating history of the family who owns the castle. Besides telling us when the castle was built, she didn't tell us anything else about the family. She didn't even know that Dante had written about the family in his famous books. The tour was conducted in a haste and the lady was annoyed at most questions I asked about wine production or history of the family. Overall, very disappointing. If you decide to go, ask what you will be getting and whether your tour guide is familiar with the property. There is incredible history and beauty there but you'll be better off with someone who is knowledgeable so they can share it with you.
We arrived on time and it was closed. One Italian lady gave us this information and shooed us away. I will be looking for my refund. Faye Vines

Many vineyards required a minimum of 2 guests which as a solo traveler was not accommodating to my situation. This vineyard offered flexibility for a tour in a beautiful castle setting.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Castel Montalcino and enjoyed the view from the property a lot. It was especially nice as we could benefit from a private tour. We‘d definitely recommend it as a drive-by tour, thanks again for the hospitality!
We had a wonderful experience at the Castle. Great wine and a very nice guide. She told us a lot and spoke english very well. We would definetly recommend visiting this place.
This tour was very disappointing. The tour started fifteen minutes later due to a group of 9 people who were still to come. In the end, they weren't there. They seemed a little messy. The snacks at the tasting were 2 dry breadsticks. The most expensive wine was tasty, but would sell much better with a piece of cheese or something. The Brunello they sell is also cheaper in the Netherlands.
The visit was very good with lots of information and a wonderful tasting at the end. The winery is beautiful and the castle brings even greater charm.
A very informative half-hour tour in a great setting. Unfortunately, the tasting was very brief with a few crackers and only three wines, each with a volume of around 30-40ml.

Wine experience with history of Castle Tricerchi with lots of charm, very well prepared canteens and wine tasting that is highly recommended above all for the quality of the wine. We couldn't help but buy some bottle.
I really liked the experience .... but the products I bought in the company were 30% more expensive than the price same products purchased on the market
From what I had read I expected more .. I thought there was a real tour of the castle, the cellars run excursion in the vineyards.. Instead we found ourselves admiring the vineyards in the distance and of the castle we saw the room where we did the tasting, ... And the inner courtyard from where you went out to go to the vineyards! The cellars were interesting. Owner and collaborators very kind and helpful .. Let's say the price is higher than the given offer.

I bought the tour with 1 week in advance, everything confirmed, 2 hours before received an email if there was a problem to cancel the tour, my wife was very disappointed because we had already scheduled our whole day accordingly to not harm our honeymoon. Besides everything he did not give an explanation asked if I could re-entry because I could not do the tour on the day contracted and I was not repaid until now!
There was no visit, just pass the castle from the entrance to the table where the tasting is done. Then the "visit to the vineyards" was to see them from the entrance of the castle. The tasting was guided but continuously interrupted. We visited the cava.
