Our host showed exceptional knowledge of Italian sparkling wines and easily took us through the wine making processes and the differences in the various Italian regions. The wines she chose for our tasting were magnificent and we no hesitation in recommending this experience. We will book again when next in Siena.

This was an interesting and fun event. We learned about the different ways to make sparkling wine and then tasted 3 very different ones. A fun and helpful experience.

The wine tasting was perhaps our highlight of our visit to Siena! We thoroughly enjoyed the session and our host was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and welcoming; we felt comfortable asking questions and really appreciated this. The wine we tasted was also fantastic too! The atmosphere of the session was relaxed, and we felt completely at ease. The price of the session was very reasonable. Would recommend this to anyone who is visiting the historic center.

I’ve been to Siena two separate years and I wish I would’ve had this experience last time too…because of how enjoyable this was. 10/10 recommend.

Well worth the price. We learned so much about the history, making and tasting of Italian sparking wine and Prosecco. Generous pours, a real tasting experience. And Besart went above and beyond to find our group of 12 a wonderful lunch spot and arranged for a cab. He and his wife were wonderful hosts for our tour. Highly recommend!!

Us four girls from the US have never been to a wine tasting before, and this was such an amazing place to start! We learned so much about the production, quality, and distinguishing properties of sparkling wines and got to enjoy many different types in the process. The environment was beautiful , with AC and many different maps/pictures explaining the wine making process and the regions from where it comes from. Thank you for this amazing experience!

This experience was amazing and super informative. I was expecting more traditional wines from Tuscany but the sparkling wine tasting was refreshing for the heat and cool to see a different side of Italy. Highly recommend, and the couple running it is super nice! They allowed us to show up late since our bus was very late.

As a sparkling wine lover, this was a great and insightful experience on how the wine making process for different sparkling wines are made. All of the wines tasted were great and I left shipping a case back home. The wines here are unique and high quality, I would definitely recommend!

We happened upon Enoteca Perlage by chance, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by the beautifully curated decor and the warm, inviting atmosphere. We were welcomed with genuine hospitality and soon found ourselves immersed in a thoroughly enjoyable and informative tasting session. The sparkling wines were exceptional, and the experience was elevated by the owner’s enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and wonderful sense of humour. His passion was infectious, making the whole experience not only educational but also great fun. It felt more like spending time with an old friend than a typical tasting. A truly memorable visit — we’ll be back, and we’ll be bringing friends!

Absolutely wonderful! We left with 4 bottles to take home and ended up enjoying an extra bottle after the tasting. Learned so much you could tell the owners were so knowledgeable and passionate about sparkling wine. Would highly recommend anyone include this in their visit to Siena!

My friends and I had never done a tasting exclusively for sparkling wine. We learned a lot and had fun doing it. The shop is centrally located and easy to find. Made for a nice break during a traditional day for sightseeing.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Perlage Enoteca! Not only were the hosts incredibly welcoming and friendly, but we all learned so much during the tasting and had a lot to take away from the experience! Our host answered all of our questions we had about the wines and made it feel so comfortable and right at home. Also, we had an issue with transportation to Siena and the hosts were so kind to push back our scheduled time to accommodate the unforeseen circumstances. If you have the opportunity to book a tasting here, you should absolutely do it. It really is such a unique and authentic experience! Thank you again for having us!

Besart conducted a wonderful sparkling wine tasting for us. We learned a ton and had a great time doing it. It was a wonderful break from all the red wine we’ve been drinking all week. We also enjoyed the fact that there was no pressure to purchase anything; even though we did, I can’t wait for the selection to be shipped back to the United States.

We enjoyed the informative presentation from Simona on sparkling wine, how it's created, and its different flavor and dryness profiles - and the wines we tried were all very good! The enoteca is an attractive shop with lots to choose from. Additionally, the two owners are very pleasant and converse easily in English. We recommend this shop and tour whole-heartedly, and we hope to visit there again one day.

Such a beautiful wine shop in the heart of Siena! We stubbled upon it when exploring and jumped in on a bubbles tasting. Simona is super knowledgable and the shop has an amazing selection of wines from around Italy and beyond (specializing in bubbles)! I highly recommend stopping in and doing a tasting when in Siena!

My husband and I did a wine tasting with Besart and we had an amazing night! We did a sampling of sparkling wine that’s local to Italy and they were all so good! Besart was an exceptional host and made us feel comfortable. The shop is so clean and pretty and located in the heart of Siena. Definitely visit the shop if you’re ever in Siena!

As much as Italy is known for wine, I think they're overlooked when it comes to sparkling wine. Needless to say, Besart did a great job of explaining this and walking me through the differences and nuances. Enjoyed it so much that I ordered a case to ship back home.

It is possible to make a wine tasting of 3 special wines (3 whole cups) with a very detailed explanation of the various production processes. The owners are really nice, opened the store recently in Siena and have a crushed English.
