Between Chianti and Crete Senesi, a few minutes from Siena, the Classic Wine Tasting of San Giorgio a Lapi is dedicated to those who want to discover the most authentic flavors of Tuscany through wine, food and landscape. On the panoramic terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills you will taste three wines of our production – white, rosé and red – selected to tell the different characteristics of the vineyards, soils and territory. Each glass is accompanied by a selection of typical Tuscan specialties designed to enhance its aromas and characteristics. In the shade of the ancient white mulberry, with a view that embraces Chianti and the Crete Senesi, you will live an authentic and relaxed experience immersed in the scents, colors and flavors of the Tuscan countryside. A route designed for those who want to know the area through a tasting of Tuscan wines, typical local products and unique views in the heart of Tuscany.
Highly recommend this relaxing and enjoyable early evening event. Friendly & informative staff, delicious Tuscan wine and small food platters. I had hoped we would see the process of how the wine is produced, however we still enjoyed drinking wine looking ahead onto the Tuscan countryside.
A dinner and tasting at San Giorgio a Lapi had the magical effect of transforming an evening that started with stress (a treasure hunt through Siena to find our car, which had been towed on market day...) into one of those rare moments where everything is perfect. How did the magic happen? Thanks to the kindness of two young Sienese locals; thanks to the goodwill and resourcefulness of the entire team at San Giorgio a Lapi, who in the blink of an eye found a way to accommodate two extra guests; of course, thanks to the flavors of the excellent wines and the dishes crafted to highlight them; and finally, thanks to the smile and erudition of Helena, who knows everything and shares her knowledge so warmly. Few places are magical, few people are magical. San Giorgio a Lapi brings both together. Thank you!

It was nice. We got to see a close vineyard to sienna. We were there for maybe an hour and a half and we walked the Vineyard a bit and we tried some wines.

What a great way to kick off our Tuscan vacation! The wines were amazing and very explained… we ordered a case as shipping was extremely reasonable. The food was over the top refreshing and perfectly paired! The attention to detail was extraordinary…. We are celebrating our daughters birthday and they brought a candle for her!

Nice family owned vineyard- prices are very reasonable. They offer shipping to the US. I got 6 bottles of Chianti Classico for $160 which included shipping. Beautiful views of their chapel, vineyards and Tuscan hills. Very friendly, easy taxi from Siena - cost 30 Euros.
Good wine and great views. The host was great and gave some history to the wine and vineyards. It's the perfect tasting if you don't want the 6 hour+ tour. It's close to Siena and the views are amazing. We even bought some bottles to have shipped home. Can't wait til they get here. 2 thumbs up.
I am giving this a 3 star because they provide 3 wines to taste, and only have 1 white. It would have been nice to know this ahead of booking. The staff are wonderful and the grounds look enchanting (that's a different tour). If you are traveling from the city center or within the walls of Siena, it will be a $20 cab ride to get there (FYI)
Wow Wow! My wife and i had made a reservation at another winery but they had a death in the family and understandbly cancelled on us.. so i searched and found Cantina San Giorgio a Lapi, and they took us in due to the circumstances at the last minute. Their vineyard is beautiful, sitting on their terrace looking out at their vines and family chapel was breathtaking.. and our host Alberto (one of the 5 brothers that are now running the family vineyard) was wonderful. And then there were the wines themselves! Molto Bene! ended up ordering some to have shipped home and Alberto took care of it all. Thanks so much!
I highly recommend this wine tasting!!! Not only were the views breathtaking but our sommelier, Benedetto, was knowledgeable, charming and funny. The charcuterie boards were so delicious and of course, we had several bottles of the delicious Rosato and Chianti shipped home. I highly recommend this Tuscan experience!!!!
A beautiful family-run winery with scenic views of Tuscany! We took a short taxi ride from Siena. Our experience included tasting three unique wines of our choice from a provided list and enjoying a lovely charcuterie board. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend the "Bandecca." I purchased a few bottles at the winery to bring home, but San Giorgio a Lapi also offers international shipping.

We arrived a little early, and they sat us a table as quickly as they could. They were all very friendly and helpful. They explained their process for harvesting the grapes and making the wines as well as the details of each wine we were tasting. All of the wines we tasted were very good. As was the meat and cheese tray & bread they provided. I asked about their olive oil and they brought some out for us to try with the bread. They even called a taxi for us at the end so we could return to our hotel and are arranging for the wines we purchased to be shipped.
Our tasting included three wines of our choice and a delicious selection of cheeses, meats, and fruit.

As a family of 7, we had the opportunity to pick from 3 tasting menus, or in the case of my father in law, go bespoke! Not only was the wine exceptional, but the addition of cheeses and meats was a welcome addition. This was amazing value compared to other wine tasting places we considered.
It was great experience to try good wines, accompanied with good food, while overseeing beautiful Tuscany fields. We had an option to choose which wines we want to taste. Our waitor was realy nice and thoroughly explained everything and answer our questions. I recomend this experience to fully dive into Tuscany's beauty and taste!

Superb wine-tasting experience in Tuscany hills, just outside Siena. Stunning location. Family-run winery and tasting. Alberto’s English and knowledge of wines was excellent. He gave a great insight into the technique and local terroir producing their variety of reds and white up to their ( non-sulphate) Gran Selezione Chianti Classico - so nice we shipped a case. The accompanying food was all local produce and top notch. Unmissable experience for wine lovers if in Siena area!!

Wow! The views are amazing! The wine and service were both outstanding. Ended up sending a case of wine home bc we liked everything so much. The charcuterie board they serve is very generous(especially for 2 people) so go hungry! We also had the ice cream as suggested by our server and a glass of the dessert wine. Highly recommend!
Everything about this experience was so enjoyable. You are able to follow a guide of wines they have created or you can pick and choose your own. The charcuterie board was absolutely delicious we got more salami, cheese, and bruschetta cause it was so good. The people who run the place were so sweet and attentive. We also walked around the property after we were done and it is breathtaking. Highly recommended!

What an amazing way to spend an afternoon. We had Mariana who looked after us and she was both very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She taught us about the wines we were being served and the family history. The setting was sensational along with the wines we tried and the meat and cheese board we had.
Just wonderful views. Wonderful wine and appetizers! Can’t ask for more. We took a taxi from Siena to the winery , a 20 minute ride and they call a cab for us for the return. We loved the wine and so bought a case of wine . They will ship it back. We would recommend this experience.

Benedict our wine expert and server, made the experience really special! He gave great information about the wines and fun stories to go with it. The winery itself was beautiful!! It is nestled on a hill side and looks out onto vineyards and mountains in the distance. The value of this experience was well worth the money paid. And the wine was of course delicious! The servings were generous. The meat and cheese board was also exceptional!! One of the best we’ve had here in Italy. The winery arranged a taxi for us in the end as we took public transportation there and the timings didn’t work on the way back. So good!

The setting is unmatched and our server Benedicto was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The wine was really great and having the process and grape varietal explained was great. It was a great way to spend an afternoon near Siena.
