Chianti Half-day Wine Tour In The Tuscan Hills Small Group From Lucca

We had a wonderful experience learning about Chianti wines and tasting 2 whites, 3 reds, a sweet wine and a rose as a bonus. The wines were all top quality. Adriano from Bellaitalia was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and personable. The guide at the Fattorio Poggio Campone winery in Montespertoli was also great. A truely enjoyable experience.

We had a fabulous experience on our tour. Massimo was super friendly and engaged everyone in conversation. He taught us a lot about the history of the area. We loved the winery tour and tasting. And of course, the view was spectacular.

We visited a very old small family owned winery and it was fantastic. On the way our guide Andriano proved us with lots of information about the wine classification system - DOC, DOCG, ITG - and explained what it meant. Our tour included a visit through the wine making operation with lots more information and finished off with our tasting. We got to try 5 different wines and I liked them all.All in all it was a very pleasant day in the Tuscan wine country.

Adriano our guide was very very knowledgeable and passionate about wine and explained us a lot about Chianti The winery was really beautiful and the tour was awesome Really highly recommend Have been to most of the big wine areas in the world (saint emilion, barolo, Napa, barossa, Porto) and this ranks among my top Experiences overall for feel and beauty

We had a splendid day going from Lucca to a lovely winery about an hour away. From the moment we met him, Massimo was welcoming, charming, knowledgeable and considerate. The winery was located in what could pass for a movie set in Tuscany. The building, the landscape, the olive trees and the vineyard were all picture perfect. There was a delicious selection of wines and snacks, all coming together for a perfect experience.

A great day out, fantastic guide, grazie mille Adriano, and winery experience. Easy and prompt pick-up, air-conditioned minivan. Lucca to the Chianti Montespertoli area is around an hour drive... to get to a delightful winery on the hills, worth the wait. Not to spoil the wines or views I'll leave details out, will make your experience more enjoyable with some mystery! I hope. The tour was informal, relaxed but not lacking details and open to all questions we had. Great cellar and a cool tasting room which was perfect on a very hot day in Chianti! A guided, again relaxed tasting, wine by wine with nibbles and plenty of water. Not rushed at any point of the day. Lovely wines, enjoyed the rosato (rosé) and the riserva. Overall a great day out, returned with a couple bottles for the remainder of our Tuscan adventure. Thank you.

It was a wonderful experience! Such an easy transaction, was picked up at the set location right on time. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, safe driver and funny. We had 13 people on the tour, from all over the world…it was so nice to meet and talk to them. The wine was delicious, so was the olive oil. The snacks provided were perfect. The winery was stunning. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely day .. Adriano was super informative /. The vineyard was beautiful and the staff were very informative and engaging… unfortunately the standards of the food served on a paper plate was substandard and not a reflection of great Tuscan produce .. looked like it had been bought from the local Lidl supermarket.. wine delicious but thimble sized portions

We spent 4 nights in Lucca this past December. We loved it. It’s a gorgeous walled city with great places to wander and get lost in. Beautiful palazzos interesting museums fabulous restaurants. You will be happy

The Chianti wine your was a fabulous day out from Lucca. Our tour guide, Emilia was very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and the wine. The winery was in a beautiful setting in the Tuscany hills. Maria made the tour very interesting and we enjoyed tasting the lovely wines. Great day out.

We had a wonderful time! Our guide gave us lots of information about the region of Tuscany, both as it relates to wine and on more broad history/culture on the ~1 hour ride to the winery. The wine and light snacks were delicious, the winery was beautiful and historic. Would recommend to anyone staying in Lucca!

Emilia was a wonderful host and the winery tour was a fantastically fun day. My partner and I had an amazing time at the beautiful farm with the three beautiful dogs. The wine tasting was generous and decadent. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the region.

I am actually going to give this experience a “4.5” rating just because ‘perfection’ is difficult. My husband and I had an amazing day out. Amelia was very enthusiastic giving a detailed commentary of the Chianti wine area and the sights to and from Lucca. The Capone family vineyard is a joy to behold. This was our second trip there and we are sure we’ll be back. The accommodation looks great and we hope to stay overnight at the vineyard on our next trip. The wine tasting itself was really enjoyable. The wines were delicious and we have treated ourselves with several purchases. We do highly recommend this experience if you want a fun day out tasting great wines.

A lovely small group tour guided by C who was able to give many interesting facts on our hour trip in a comfortable van from Lucca. The drive once off the motorway was scenic and some typical Tuscan countryside, and the venue, our lovely winery was perched on top of a hill. We received a warm welcome, along with some other groups, tasting of wines with information about the wines as well as some delicious nibbles. The visit to the cellar and the production areas was also interesting and informative.

Emilia was a wonderful guide! Her knowledge of the area was very much appreciated, and we enjoyed our time at the winery! We cannot wait for our shipment of wine and olive oil to arrive!! We are so glad we went on this tour!!

Beautiful location, excellent wine and very welcoming and informative driver and hosts. It was around one hour drive from Lucca, it was a pleasant journey. We ordered some wine for delivery back to the UK and can’t wait for it to arrive!

Absolutely brilliant, travelled as a couple, from the moment you get picked up, you're learning all about the history of the vineyard you're driving to, the type of grape they use, how they make the wine, the history. When you arrive at the vineyard, you're taken back by the beauty of the rolling tuscan hills surrounding you taking a trip into the cellars, where they have been making olive oil since the medieval times. And to top it all off, 2 fantastic white wines, 3 reds, a rose, and a dessert wine, you'll definitely buying your own bottle to take home with you 🤌

Our experience was excellent. Our guide was personable and knowledgable! The winery was stunning. The host was pleasant and professional. And the wine was delicious- most importantly!

Our driver was so friendly and informative and got everyone in good spirits on the journey there. The tour of the winery was really interesting and not too long. The setting for the tasting was magnificent and our tour guide was really fantastic. After the tasting we could relax in the tuecan sun in the beautiful settings of the estate whilst enjoying another complimentary glass of wine. In summary, fantastic value for money and would highly recommend.

Massimo is awesome. Very knowledgeable. The winery is quite amazing as well. Nice views and the Vermentino white is very unique.

We were a little lost to be at the rendezvous but our driver Luigi made the effort to come and find us, The journey to the vineyard was made interesting by Luigi’s knowledge and once we arrived the tour we were on was both interesting and professionally conducted by our guide, she too was excellent. Food and of course, wine, which was plentiful, also great. All in all a wonderful experience for us all, thanks guys

Massino was very informative and easy to understand as an American. Very personable as well. I would highly recommend a tour with Massino to anyone.

I went solo as my partner had a work conflict - there were 15 of us total in two buses. We stopped to check out the wine grapes and even got to try them. Then we got tours of the cellars and then got to the tasting. My favorite part was how shy and timid everyone was to start - started with the rosé and I won’t spoil the rest. Let’s just say by the time we were on the 3rd or 4th bottle everyone was chatting and the place was as loud as a restaurant. Unbelievable experience and the bus ride home was filled with music played by the guests of the tour. My favorite excursion so far! Thank you Massimio and everyone involved

Great experience! Easy booking via the app. Quick and accurate response to questions before departure. The trip itself was beyond expectations. The guides both on the bus ride and at the winery were very devoted and knowledgeable and explained passionately about the wine and history.

Everything! The winery was exceptional and the most beautiful I have seen so far in Italy and California. Simona showed us the premises and the brewery and explained in detail. The wine tasting and the wine was superb! The owners greeted us at the end and were very gracious. They showed us their other products, like a delicious olive oil and olive oil derived creams and other products. Everything was elegant and refined. Our guide, Massimo, is a sommelier and very knowledgeable about wines, how to taste them and savour them the right way. He also shared stories and traditions during the drive over. If you only have time for a wine tour, this is the one you need to take! Will not regret it. Loved the whole experience!

It was indeed a nice trip with a friendly driver. However, we visited only 1 winery even though the description said two. The experience at the winery was very good, with interesting information and nice tastings of wine and food. Another minus was that we went along with two kids at the age of 2 and almost 5. Of course no wine should be prepared for them, however no food was prepared for them even though we paid more than half the price per person for them. The description of the tour should be modified so expectations would be aligned.

Lovely tour of the beautiful Daniella organic winery, which is housed in the former hunting lodge of the Medici family. Tour was very interesting, wine was delicious and we were provided with a light lunch. Grounds were spectacular. Then a bonus stop in the village of Vinci, birthplace and childhood home of Leonardo. Our guide, Emilia, was full of life and delightful … we all loved her. Five stars to this one!

It was absolutely incredible, Adriana was an amazing host and we were blown away. We saw and tasted history and would do it again in a heart beat. Highly recommend!

We didn’t have the best of weather for our tour. A bit rainy but we made the best of it. Both wineries were beautiful and the wine was delicious. At the second winery Casa Sola we had a great tasting and lunch that was terrific! Massimo was very informative and friendly. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a fabulous day trip from Lucca! Well worth the extra cost for a small group experience! Our driver and guide was very friendly and provided some background information. Once at the winery we were treated like VIP!

Massimo, our guide, was fantastic! He knew so much about the wine and the regional history Anna it was so interesting, i was captivated. I learned so much and ate and drank delicious food and wine. Would recommend this to everyone
