Wonderful driver!! Talked is sites during drive, waited for everyone including myself who took a little more time. Perfect amount of time for the tasting.

Great experience! Our guide Adriano was very kind and knowledgeable! Throughout the car ride, he provided us with interesting information about the history of wine making and the Chianti region. We thoroughly enjoyed the winery tour, leaning about the wine and olive oil making processes, and, of course, wine tasting. Beautiful day, and great trip!
Very good winetasting and Maximus were a very good guide
Excellent day trip, our guide (Adrian) was warm, friendly and very informative. The Vineyard and views were fantastic and the whole day was a highlight of our trip.
A 9 person group on a half-day tour with friendly and informative tour guides, generous pours in the wine tasting and beautiful scenery. A fantastic option for the solo traveler. A positive experience for a modest fee.
The "Chianti Half-day Wine Tour in the Tuscan Hills from Pisa" is an excellent choice for travelers who want to experience the authentic atmosphere of Tuscany without committing to a full-day excursion. The tour takes you through the beautiful rolling hills of the Chianti region to a local winery, where you can learn about the winemaking process, visit the cellars, and enjoy a tasting of several wines accompanied by local cheeses, cured meats, and olive oil. Overall, this tour provides a perfect combination of scenic landscapes, local culture, and excellent wine, making it a memorable highlight for visitors staying in Pisa. Excellent!
What a fun way to spend a half day! We learned about the wine-making process, with wine tasting and met some great people!
Overall, the trip was well organised, with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour leader. The winery has a beautiful setting and a rich history. We got to see the cellars and learn about the winemaking process from the engaging guide. We then got to taste several lovely wines and enjoy a little local produce before the trip back to Pisa. Throughout, the vibe was relaxed, informative and friendly. Despite the rain, we had an excellent time and would recommend the trip - especially for visitors who want to experience the Tuscan countryside without a car.
Excellent experience at Fattoria Poggio Capponi, Massimo our guide was fabulous. Stunning wine and amazing views.
Our guide Marta was fabulous. We were able to see four of the towns serviced by the ferry. Highly recommend this trip, the scenery and design of the towns are majestic
Wonderful day spent at the vinyard , the tour guide was amazing the group we in was fun , learnt a lot beautiful scenery would highly reccomend giving it a try
The tour was amazing, the guide very Lins and Leticia a very sweet lady. The place was beauteful and the wines were super🥰
We had a trip from Pisa and absolutely loved it. We did not want to come back! The driver, the local guide, the scenery, the weather, the wines and other group members - a total combination of a perfect trip! Was so worth of the money!
the entire trip was very enjoyable. Our tour guide, Emily, was fun and provided narrative during our travel to the vineyard in a very comfortable van. Laura met us there and gave us a tour of the cellars and then we went to the tasting room. Sampled about 7 different varieties of white, rose, and reds which were all delicious, which was served with various cheeses and meats. Wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed this small and very intimate vineyard. Highly recommend?.
Good plan to do. Private. Good driver and guide. Lots of facts and very flexible with timing and locations. Emilia was fantastic and even though we had a rainy day we loved the experience. Food was good but it’s mostly snacks like salami and bread, not enough cheese. You try 6 wines and all you want to drink so definitely worth it.
This is a great introduction to the Chianti wine world. The tour run by Amelia was amazing, say all four of our party and I could say the same for our new American friends. We had six very traditional White, Rose and mainly red wines, with locally produced Extra virgin olive oil, charcuterie and a selection of bread. We are super happy with how the trip from start to finish has gone. Finally we had a small group tour in an exquisite spot in the Tuscan countryside. Thank you Amelia.
Amazing. Would highly recommend. Our driver (Massimo) was an expert on the country and the wine and kept us entertained the entire drive. Our person at the winery was amazing, showing us everything, telling us about the history and the wine making.
We liked whole experience. We felt that we were waited. Drive from Pisa was comfortable. Wines are good. Atmosphere and views are wonderful.
The tour was very interesting, with our guide / driver being very friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. The host at the wine yard is also very nice.
Just returned from our Tuscany wine tour w/Lauri. What a delightful experience. Met outside the Lucca gates, an hour +/- drive though the scenery of Tuscany to arrive at Fattoria Poggio Capponi. We were provided an overview of the wine making process, and the wine cellar. Then onto sampling the white and red wine, along with their olive oil. All were well above average, and we bought a few bottles to indulge in while back in Lucca. Our driver Lauri was well versed on the area as well as the wine history along with the wine making processes without being overbearing. We were with three other couples and all felt the same. Well worth your time and investment.
Our driver, Amelia (I think this is how she spells her name) was amazing. She shared so much local history and highlights, it set the perfect stage for the day. The winery itself is beautiful. The tour was a perfect length prior to the tasting. We loved hearing about the history of the winery and the making of the wine. The tasting was so fun. We had 3 groups for a total of 7 people. We all laughed and shared stories. It felt like we were all friends. We were so relaxed being able to taste each wine slowly. We never felt rushed. I cannot recommend this tour enough. The pricing is very fair for all you get. It was a perfect day for us.
Cancelled 2 days before without any explanation. Very disappointing as we were looking forward to it. No alternative date was offered.
Amazing location in the heart of Chianti. Driver was very knowledgable providing insights into the towns/scenery on the drive to the vineyard - as well as offering some suggested sights/tours. The tour guide at the vineyard was very knowledgeable - initially we had a guided tour describing the history of the vineyard and the processes they undertake to make Chianti and other Italian wines. This was followed by the wine tasting in the Popes Room - 6 wines with bread, cheese and local meat plus sampling their olive oil. Highly recommend this trip we had an amazing day.
From meeting our driver Adriano to the trip out, to meeting the family and listening to their story and the different wines , it was a brilliant trip. The wines were gorgeous, a lovely presentation with no time pressure.
A great half day trip that takes you into the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Emily our guide was brilliant, giving us loads of fun facts on the drive there and back. The tour itself was excellent, in beautiful surroundings, though the wine tasting itself could have been improved. We weren't really given much information about anything other than the first two wines which was a shame. Rather than put all the wines in front of you to start, they poured two glasses at a time, using the same glasses for all 6 wines. Lovely cheese, bread and meats to accompany the wines and the host Maria was so friendly. That’s the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 stars. That said it was a great day and we met some really interesting people. No hard sell on the wines either. Would do it again.
We had a lovely trip. Just the 2 of us so very definitely a private tour. Our driver Corrado Petinelli was very informative, courteous and we weren’t rushed at any point. We had a tour of the vineyard and an explanation of the process before sitting down to a private wine tasting with a small plate each of cheese, meat and bread to accompany the wine. The scenery was beautiful and the vineyard was very tranquil.
Adriano was a very knowledgeable tour guide giving us interesting verbal tasters of what was to come while driving us to the vineyard. Pick up point was an easy 5 mins walk from the main train station in Pisa, which was really handy for me.
Private tour by a family run business, your guides are funny, knowledgeable and customer focused, our tour was lovely, pick up and drop off personal, wine and olive oil first class, second time round even better and the first time was hard to beat, ordered wine and olive oil to ship home, perfect, thank you x
We had two lovely guides in our driver, Adriano and our guide, Corrado. They were friendly, helpful and charming. The vinyard was beautiful with fabulous views of the Tuscan countryside.
Lovely half day trip to a beautiful vineyard, plenty of wine to taste & a lovely tour of a local vineyard
Favoloso! Emilia and Corrado were excellent hosts, keeping us entertained in the 50 minute trip to the winery. Being shown the cellar and how the wine is made (and olive oil) was brilliant, followed by an informative education into wine making in the region. I am now much better informed about Abruzzo region wine and Abruzzo grapes! Thank you for a great trip - highly recommended if you like wine.
Emi, our guide, was super friendly, knowledgeable and funny! The vineyard was gorgeous and all the wines we tasted were excellent. A lovely half day excursion.
The wine tasting experience was great! Everyone was very friendly. The only downside was that we ended up buying 6 bottles of wine which costed around €22-€27 approx per bottle and we were more than happy to pay that price for such good wine, though i went to my local super market today and found the exact same wine ( Chianti Montespertoli Riserva) and the it was €12.99 and I bought the exact same wine for €27 whilst at the Fattoria Poggio Capponi. This was a bit disappointing since its more than double the price, plus we purchased 6 bottles 😅 Apart from that we cannot complain regarding the tour as it was just lovely!
Our driver and Adriano was an absolute pleasure, funny, interesting and exceptionally helpful. He made the day for us
The wiews of the landskape were very beautiful. It was interesting to hear about old grape varietys and the traditional way to make wine.
Our driver/guide was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. The winery was excellent. Ideal setting, great wine, extremely informed staff. Staff also went out of their way to accommodate my husband's gluten intolerance. Highly recommend this tour.
From the moment Adriano our tour guide arrived in his ultra comfortable, air-conditioned people mover, I knew we were in for a treat. Overflowing with knowledge and enthusiasm, the hour's drive to the sublime vineyard in the Chianti region flew by. What followed was an indepth, fascinating tour that included a generous wine tasting and a visit to the winery and vineyards. Stunning scenery, well organised and great value. Make sure you get Adriano. You won't be disappointed!
I booked a last minute tour for Chianti wine tour and I recommend this. Adriano was very informative about the wines and Maria was a great in the winery place. One of the best experiences you can do in Italy I would say.
The trip was well organised and everything went according to plan. The winery tour was good and the scenery was stunning. We can warmly recommend.
Had a fantastic time on this lovely and authentic wine tour. The tour and tasting were sublime. Even saw the olive groves and had a taste of the oil! Staff were helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Adriano was the best host and driver. Would highly recommend! Must do if you have time.
Really great interesting and information trip Not to mention the wonderful wine and very generously poured The driver Andrianof ( sorry about the spelling) was brilliant and very I informative Highly recommend this trip
Our driver was great and gave us a good insight into the Italian and Tuscan traditions around wine and family life. Silva (I hope I have spelled that right) was our wine guide and her teachings of the wines was truly amazing! You could feel how passionate she was about the wines and the region.
Great experience with a small group, and the guide is very knowledgeable. The vineyard is beautiful as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, Amelia was entertaining & informative. Great way to take in Tuscany’s beauty in a day & would highly recommend this tour. Cheers🍷Ross & Diana from Australia 🇦🇺
We had a great time during this Bella Italia tour. Adriano drove us (me, husband and adult son) and 10 other guests to La Fattoria Poggio Capponi in Montespertoli. Adriano was a perfect host, he is kind and funny, and a good driver. In the second half of the drive he started giving us information about the Chianti region and wines. On arrival, Maria received us and first explained some outside about the estate, the olive trees and winery. Then we went inside the old farmhouse into cellars, allong the barrels and the private wine collection. It was an interesting tour, Maria had a good story. Next it was time for the wine tasting. We had a morning tour, but the timing was fine, we started around 11:30. We tasted 6 wines: 2 whites, 3 reds (1 'blend' riserva, 1 riserva and 1 super tuscan), and a desert wine (vin santo del Chianti), accompanied by some bread, cheese and cold meats, and their own olive oil. Maria introduced the wines nicely. The glasses were rather big, but you could throw away superfluous wine in small buckets on the table. After the tasting there was some time to relax, if you wanted, or you could join Adriano for a small tour in the vineyard and along the outside kettles. That was very interesting as well. After this great morning, Adriano dropped us off again at the pick up point near the Pisa central station. The drive back took a little longer, due to heavy traffic going into Pisa, but that was fine. Thanks a lot, Adriano and Maria for this lovely morning!
The guides were great. Good value for money. Only gripe is that bread/meat/cheese were available with the wine tasting it wasn't enough for lunch. Travelling from Pisa we left at 10 and didn't get back till after 3 so were hungry.
Highly recommended for those who want to see, learn about and taste local wine! Was driven from Pisa to a beautiful vinyard close to Florence (about an hour drive), where we got to see all we wanted and taste 6 absolutely amazing wines. Both the driver and lady at vinyard was very knowledgeable and nice and we had a great day. We walked to the leaning tower from where we were dropped off, so got a lot done our first day. You won’t regret this one
Emily did a great job guiding us through the wine tour. The vineyard was amazing and so was the wine. I really recommend this tour
It was a beautiful drive from Pisa to the lovely winery our driver/guide was so informative and passionate about this area. The winery and tasting were exceptional. I would highly recommend this tour
Brilliant wine tasting trip to a gorgeous vineyard. Our driver, Uri, was very friendly and chatty, and the lady at the vineyard was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Had a great time and bought some wine and olive oil.
