Chianti Grand Tasting: Signature Wines, Oils & Balsamics In The

Enjoyable workshop, but missing wine and no customer support I enjoyed the workshop at Poggio ai Laghi, and being told they offered international shipping gave me the confidence to purchase four bottles of wine and one bottle of balsamic vinegar to share the experience with my family. Unfortunately, only the vinegar arrived. The four wine presentation boxes were included, but they were empty, the bottles themselves were missing. USPS recorded the parcel’s delivery weight as 4.1 kg. I have emailed customer care and tried calling, but have received no response to my complaint for weeks. I am still left wondering whether a refund or replacement is even possible. This has caused considerable inconvenience and disappointment, especially as the wine was intended as gifts. It is upsetting that such an enjoyable visit has been followed by this experience. I would appreciate someone taking responsibility for investigating the missing bottles and providing a clear resolution.

We went on a wine tasting here, which began pleasantly and was very interactive. However, ultimately you are there for them to try to sell their products to you. We were promised a free bottle of wine with our purchase. We were generous in our purchases, spending €150 on wine, oil and balsamic vinegar. However, when receiving the package today there was no free wine. It is a sales technique to entice you in but with no truth. We’re disappointed and feel we have been scammed by the winery just to get us to purchase more. There was also an additional customs fee, which they said was included in the price. Please reconsider visiting this winery or purchasing anything from them as their sales technique and lie will entice you in but they will not follow up on their promises.

At the end of the very quick wine tasting, they pressure you into buying their very expensive products, assuring you that you don’t have to worry about paying the duties & taxes for shipping overseas. That is fully their biggest selling point. Well that is not the case, as I have been harassed for the remainder of my trip by UPS about needing to pay extra fees in order for my package to be released and the winery refuses to take responsibility. They told me that I signed an agreement stating that I would take care of these, which I probably didn’t read correctly after they made sure I was drunk enough to fall for this scam. Just don’t go to this place, and if you end up here through organized tour, don’t buy a single thing as they’ve proven to have no problem taking advantage of people. Truly shameful.

We enjoy of the meal and degustation of different wines, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The starter was really good with the intro of the tasting, I want to emphasise in staff’s attention, Mary, the waiter and Marco (the boy with glasses, I can’t remember well if it was his name, sorry). The main dish and the dessert was a little bit disappointing. Great experience, nice views, good vibes. Gracias!!!!

Cute, clean and modern set up with friendly staff and good wines, olive oils and balsamics. Sparkling, chiantis and sparkling by rose all good. My favorite was the super Tuscan. The white truffle olive oil and the spicy olive oil both were standouts. Nice experience!

This was a fantastic wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting and experienced so many types! Chiara was the best at teaching us about everything and made it easy to send wine, etc. home. Thanks so much!!!!!

Valentino was amazing. This was the best wine tasting I’ve ever been too. Unfortunately, it’s been the only one and so I’m afraid that the US will never compare! Truly an amazing and educational experience with great food and a great view.

It's super cute and nice vineyard. I really liked their white, rose and that golden looking wine(I forgot the name). We had the wine tasting experience with Ben, he was really nice kind and generous on providing wine 😂. Great Experience.

We had a WONDERFUL time at this tasting. It was private, we loved our host and had a great time with her. We did not plan to buy wine but the shipping costs were reasonable so we did! We went to this first after arriving in the Sienna area and it was a bit of a drive but we highly recommend this as a stop.

Well worth the stop for wine tasting. But be sure to try the 666 chilli 🌶 oil. Everyone was so nice and friendly would recommend this even if you don't love wine

We spent a beautiful afternoon with Leda tasting the delicious wines, oils and balsamico. We loved the Vermentino, the sparkling Chardonnay and the Donna Via Super Tuscan was amazing. Taking some home for sure. Gracie Leda, bravissimo!

Food and wine tasting were good. Nice place to do wine tasting and knowledgeable staff. Place is also nice and a bit rustic

From the start of our visit to the end, the staff was personable, engaged and funny. They educated our group on the region, their products and made it fun. Even on a cold rainy day, we had a blast. Great time!

AMAZING PLACE!!!! Loved my time there the lovely lady that did the tour was so nice. Make sure you all be respectful and let her speak if you talk over her you’ll miss out on some perks so pay attention. 10/10 would definitely recommend to everyone looking for a tasty wine tour.

If you are not local, they will scam you. Beware! DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER Note they wont actually give you a charged receipt when you buy your wine after the tour. They charge you when you’re not there and they ship out, then you have to hope that they send you the right items when you get back home to the states. NOTE, i spent over $600 with them and this is how they treat customers. When i received my items, I noted that I was overcharged and emailed their customer service. After being haggled to try and buy more wine to make up the difference that they overcharged me, They finally said they would refund me the money. They promised that it would happen if I just gave them my wire information and then after being ghosted for weeks, I finally reached out to my bank and it was too late to do anything about it. Notice how much time passed between their communication. They continued to drag their feet and I think they knew what they were doing. I trusted them bc i thought they were family owned and reputable. Please see communication below and the agent who purposefully misleads and steals from customers. Do NOT buy to have shipped you will get scammed!

Great wine tasting experience. I’m from Niagara on the lake in Ontario Canada and I loved that we got to taste wine, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Really nice tour and products! The balsamic vinegar and the extra virgin olive oil were amazing! They also let me try a sweeter wine when I asked for it and Simone’s explanation was awesome! I really recommend it

We had the most amazing day trip to Tuscany with Poggio Ai Laghi! They picked us up at the hotel in Florence brought us to two beautiful towns and then we had a delicious lunch and tons of wonderful wine at the winery. The staff was amazing, informative, and so much fun. This was a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend!

As a group of friends walking the Via Francigena, we had a fabulous wine tasting and dinner evening at Poggio Al Laghi. Andreas was an entertaining host as we enjoyed our beautiful meal amidst the wine barrels. Very much recommend!

Went on tour from Florence. Wines were very good. Fun tasting experience. The stow stoppers were the special olive oils. Can’t wait to use in cooking. Recommend stop, great hospitality.

This winery is incredible! The wines are unique and delicious, & the food pairings were are top notch. Each food item brought out the flavors of the wine so wonderfully. The venue is updated but also has the true Tuscany atmosphere. Valeska was an amazing tasting host! She is funny, knowledgeable, and made the experience unforgettable. Definitely request her for your tasting. Helpful tip: Correctly answer all the questions you can for some extra wine in your glass! 10/10 recommend!

If you are into seeing wineries, DO NOT GO, you will feel ripped off. It is a Port Aventura for wine tourists. Without going into the dubious quality of their wines, they are only concerned with selling, selling, and selling at higher prices than in stores, very ugly. The staff that explains follows a guide, but regarding wines... just enough.

Beautiful location, very characteristic and with the possibility to buy local products (wines, oil, cantucci). Excellent organization, food and especially wine! Thanks to Ben who was a very knowledgeable and friendly assistant. With his punctual explanations allowed us to learn about the Tuscan culinary peculiarities that we enjoyed. Via Ciao Florence we did a tour here with a bus and Guide. Arriving here we are very friendly received. We got a word of explanation and were taken upstairs. There were some wines waiting for us and toast with different balsamics. The woman was very enthusiastic and made a party of it. There was loud applause at the opening of their delicious sparkling wine. Highly recommended!
