We were misled by the tour time and distance due to added bookings and office mistakes happening after we were picked up . The driver was not informed , he mentioned it was his first day ! Poor guy got misdirected and had to pull off the road 3 times and then return for an unknown additional couple that booked last minute , to pick up at the stop we had already picked up another couple in Siena . . This delayed us from doing the tour expected and shortened the time we had at each winery. We were given no water or food access throughout the ride that returned very late and missed out on the free time in town that we were supposed to be able to eat. The tours themselves were rushed because of our delay and the driving around just felt like forever. We could not enjoy any of this day that we planned for 6 months ago. If they would have picked us up and went direct it would have changed the entire day. This is unacceptable and misleading. The only food was small snacks at the Brunello winery that we had to rush through and barely got to enjoy the wine or scenery.
The tour company texted the day before and said there was a technical issue confirming my trip. They tried to offer a trip to Pisa instead. We booked a wine tour because we wanted a wine tour not a trip to Pisa.
What a great experience! Vincenzo was so informative and a great driver for the day. We experienced vineyards so unexpected and one trip to remember! Thanks Vincenzo!!
There was more driving than we had anticipated. There was no water or snacks in the car for a 6-7 hour tour. The driver was nice and very friendly The first wine tasting was delightful and a great experience The second stop was not anything like the first. It was more of a wine shop.
We had an amazing time. We loved Vincenzo The wineries we went to were beautiful The village we went to in Montalcino was stunning
Overall a nice wine testing tour in Brunello. First we visited an organic winery that also grew other things and have their own bee farm and made their own honey. We tasted four lovely wines. The also make a super Tuscan. One Brunello was so good so we ordered some to be sent home. Then we went to Montalcino town and had som free time there. It was to late for lunch (most restaurants in Italy stop serving lunch at 14:00) and we were glad that we had som light lunch before the tour started. Last an other winery also with very good wine whish we tasted four of. We were back in San Giminignano 20:45 in the evening. Why did we give four and not five stars? We think the tour is wrong planed in time. It started 13:00 and should take 6,5 hrs. Were back after 8 hrs. It the tour had started at 11:00 instead, then the first winery and after that lunch in Montalcino we would have been back in a reasonable time at night.
This was a great getaway from San G. Marco, our guide was excellent providing us with just the right amount of information as we toured the Tuscany countryside Our tour picked up a few people in Siena and then off we went to Montalcino where we had approx 40 minutes for nature break, visiting the fortress as well as this quaint little town. Then 1st winery had an organic set up on a small vineyard and we tasted 4 samples of local red wine and toured their distillery and holding tank set up; Our 2nd winery stop also doubled as B&B establishment; perched on the top of a lovely hill with amazing views. The long winding lane way was lined with cypress trees. What a view of the surrounding countryside! There we also tasted 4 local red wines featuring the famous Brunello brand of the Sangiovese grapes. Our group of 8 met up with another group of 8 making the wine tours and tastings a little more enjoyable. All in all ver good value for a 6-7 hour tour. Thank you again Marco!
The entire experience was pleasant and added enjoyable memories to our holiday in Italy! Highly recommend!
If anyone is considering booking this tour - DON'T! It was terrible from start to finish. Rude & incompetent driver. Extremely unprofessional tour. 4 hours of driving time and minimal time actually spent at vineyards/tasting wine. Our driver got lost on the way to the second vineyard and became abusive towards us in their frustration. One vineyard actually expressed concern about our safety on the tour due to the driver we'd been allocated by this company. There are plenty of closer vineyards in San Gimignano & in the nearby area which you should go to instead by using either a taxi or public transport. If you book this tour, you'll regret it! You'll be wasting your money and you'll be wasting a whole day of your holiday - don't make the same mistake that we did
The wineries were beautiful. The people at the wineries were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a long drive from the meeting point in San Gimignano to the 2 wineries we visited so plan to spend more time driving than at the wineries. Bring snacks and plenty of water to drink.
We were picked up in San Gimignano and then drove 45 minutes to Siena to pick up others. It was then around 40 minutes more to the first winery and a further 20 minutes to the second one. We spent around 4 hours in the van out of the 7.5 hours of the trip. Only about 2 hours were at the wineries. At the two wineries we were given around 4 small samples of their wine which were very tasty. I don't think this tour was good value for money particularly but it was nice to be picked up at our door. Also our guide had a strong accent and was difficult to understand.
Great experience sipping wine with a group of wonderful people. Having fun and gaining knowledge about how wine is made from beginning to the bottle. Thank you for an awesome day.

This was the best wine tasting tour we have ever done and we have done this several times. The first winery was truly an experience as they took the time to make it a fun experience which included food and wine. The second winery was okay but nothing like the first. I would highly recommend this tour although it could be shortened a bit.

Thanks to Sofia and Mattéa for the experience, the attentive service, and the professionalism. So many beautiful memories and incredible images xx. Francine and Sophie
