Stayed here August 2025. Loved this place. They have a great pizza night for dinner. Very nice Borgo, nice pool, just lovely all around. Love the estate dog, Nessuno, very sweet pup, we hope to see him again! This Borgo is also great point to drive to other vineyards as well. If we are lucky enough, will come back again.

Terrible soundproofing, would not return Stayed in room 27 and was very disappointed. The hotel building is old and the soundproofing is essentially nonexistent — I could hear people yawning in the room next door. It felt like there was no wall between the rooms at all. For the price, I expected at least basic privacy and quiet. Overall a frustrating stay. I won’t be booking this hotel again and can’t recommend it to anyone who values a good night’s sleep. Want me to make it shorter, more formal, or add anything else (staff, location, breakfast, etc.)?
My wife and I stayed at Borgo San Luigi during our honeymoon in late July / early August 2026. The positives first: the property is beautiful, the grounds are immaculately maintained, the food was exceptional (with an outstanding wine selection), and every member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and attentive. Our only disappointment was that we were very surprised by how many families with very young children (ages 1-4) were staying at the property. Nothing on the website or in the reviews we had read suggested that it was such a popular destination for young families, so the atmosphere was quite different from what we were prepared for as there seemed to be more toddlers than adults. Naturally, this came with consequences. During our stay, we were woken on three mornings between 7 - 7:30am by toddlers having tantrums directly outside our room. At breakfast there was usually crying or tantrums occurring, and the pool area was always filled with toddlers from open until close - so screaming and tantrums were frequent. While things became much quieter from around 7pm onwards, we had chosen Tuscany for our honeymoon hoping for a more tranquil and romantic atmosphere during the day. This isn't a criticism of families travelling with young children, they were simply enjoying their holiday. Rather, it's a reflection that the overall atmosphere wasn't what we had anticipated based on the hotel's website and reviews. Perhaps it was a seasonal circumstance during the summer months. If you're travelling as a family with young children, I would highly recommend Borgo San Luigi. The property, food, and service are all excellent. If you're travelling as a couple, particularly for a quiet or romantic getaway, and are looking for a peaceful retreat, I would consider looking for an adults-only property instead.
Our stay there was during the first week of November 2025. We went to Tuscany at Borgo San Luigi for our honeymoon. The place is truly stunning, peaceful and beautiful. Not far from the city of Siena. Clean room, towels were changed regularly, plenty of options breakfast buffet with freshly made omelets and assortment of desserts and cakes. We loved the Tuscan pecorino varieties. Service was friendly and pleasant. We had definitely a wonderful time. Undoubtably recommended.
I was absolutely not expecting this when planning our trip and not even on the way there. Borgo San Luigi ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our Tuscany stay. The property is incredibly calm and gorgeous. Everything around the hotel is lush and green you almost don’t want to look away. It truly feels like a peaceful escape in the middle of nature. Our room had a door opening directly to a beautiful garden, which made the experience even more special. Waking up to that view was amazing. The entire space is so quiet and relaxing that you don’t even feel like leaving the property. Everything is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. In the evenings, the wooden fire pits create such a warm and cozy atmosphere, it gives the whole place an amazing vibe that feels both intimate and special. What makes this place stand out is the atmosphere, it feels like a classic Tuscan estate, surrounded by vineyards and countryside, yet still very well organized and easy to access for day trips.
