We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Lucca and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly, polite and always happy to answer questions, give recommendations or help with directions. The room was cleaned every day, which was appreciated. The only downside was that our room was a little noisy due to its location on the McDonald’s side of the hotel. Breakfast was quite basic, but it had enough to keep you going for the rest of the day, with water and coffee available as well. The hotel is around a 15–20 minute walk from the old city gates of Lucca, which made it convenient for exploring the historic centre. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, including bars and pizzerias. Overall, a good and convenient place to stay for a few nights in Lucca, especially if you want to be within walking distance of the old town.

This is really a 3 star hotel with the decor a bit dated but comfortable and an excellent very helpful staff. It’s right off the highway making arrival and departure easy. Breakfast is a continental with an OK selection of items. They do have fresh cakes every morning which made for a nice treat. There is a supermarket and a McDonalds next door.
I would not recommend to stay here. If you just need a bed.. then this is a step up from camping and although it looks nice on the surface there were many issues you could avoid. No air conditioning and no heat in April! We were informed they do not offer AC nor heat until May… they did not even offer a fan or allow the fan to run from the unit. Since is was a 75 degree F day , we had to open the window and people were smoking and loitering outside after midnight so it was very loud. Then on the first night, we were woken at 4:30 in the morning from the parking gate alarm. It went off three times between 430 and 530. We tried shutting the window yet it is very loud and were still in awoken by the noise. The second night at 3 in the morning until 4, there was a man yelling for Julia!!! It’s not a good place if you’re looking to get some sleep. The shower is tiny. The hangers don’t fit in the closet . There is no bed side or desk plug so we had to remove the tv plug to charge a 2nd phone. There is no iron for clothes. The gym looks pretty in the photo, but they only have a 1 kg and 5 kg weight and a couple pieces of cardio equipment. The weight machine is broken and does not have the attachment that allows to do any lower body exercises. And remember no air conditioning in the gym either, so it is quite hot! If you do want to sweat intentionally, the sauna is also broken. If these issues were fixed then it would be a fine place to stay for the price. It’s easily accessible from the highway and there’s a grocery store next-door. It’s just a 15 minute walk into the walls of Lucca. There is onsite parking. We also ordered a king bed. We had two twins …no they were not connected. The staff is young and inexperienced and we’re not even able to help give recommendations or good directions. The photo shows bikes so you would assume you can rent them here at the hotel. Not the case and the hotel girls had no recommendations. We had to take a half hour walk to rent a bike that would be allowed to Be taken back to the hotel since it is outside the walls.
McDonald’s hamburger joint next door busy till 1pm. Noisy!!! And at hwy interchange . Room ac does not work so needed window open. Poor sleeping conditions despite the comfortable bed and pillows. Rooms were clean. 20 minutes to walk to old town.
We stayed here on the recommendation of friends who stayed here previously. The hotel is clean and modern with parking on premise. You will need transportation to get to Lucca city center. Parking available on the outskirts of town but lots of walking involved. The breakfast was one of the best we had with an excellent variety of fruits cheese meat yogurt muffins etc. Beds were comfortable but powere was on only one side of the bed. Showers had a strange step up in a small space. Maybe a bit overpriced but otherwise no significant complaints.
