Very bad first encounter and unfriendly staff. We're staying Montalcino and booked a wine tasting with the hotel. Because we were early we wanted to reach out with the reception to move the appointment. Unfortunately we were offensively blocked from entering the lobby and contact the reception asking for help due to a private event. The first approach was far away from customer centric and we hope this attitude does not reflext the overall hotel experience - have a nice stay.

As a travel expert, I have the opportunity to visit many beautiful hotels, so I’m always especially happy when a place surprises me. Castiglion del Bosco was one of those places — and I’m very happy to share this feedback because I truly fell in love with it. What I didn’t expect was that during those three days I wouldn’t leave the estate once. Between the beautiful Tuscan surroundings, two heated pools, spa, wine experiences, wonderful dining and all the little activities, it felt like a complete world of its own. What impressed me most was the level of care and attention to detail, the hospitality felt warm and genuine rather than formal. In the evening a travel journal were placed in my room, a glass-cleaning tissue was prepared on my laptop and even candles were lit. These may sound like small things, but they are exactly the details that make a stay memorable. After one of my spa treatments, I was given a recommendation letter of organic paper with seeds pressed into it, together with instructions on how to plant it to grow some flowers. After leaving the treatment feeling so balanced, this was such a lovely and meaningful gesture. I loved the experiences available on the estate: a private wine & cheese tasting at the nearby winery, relaxing by the heated pool with lunch served directly on the sunbeds, and even a movie night with popcorn while watching Forrest Gump. The estate itself is spectacular — vineyards, beautiful Tuscan landscapes, its own winery and exceptional dining, including the Michelin-starred Campo del Drago. But what I will remember most is not a particular facility or restaurant. It’s the feeling of being cared for. The little gestures, the attention, the warmth of the team and the way everything seems to be thoughtfully anticipated. As a travel agent, I always try to look at hotels with an independent eye, noticing both the beautiful things and the details that matter to guests. And in this case, my feedback is very simple: I truly loved it. I came for my birthday for two nights and left feeling completely recharged, spoiled and looking forward to returning.
A truly beautiful hotel set in a breathtaking region, with one of the most incredible spas I’ve experienced. The property itself is exceptional and unlike anywhere else. Our stay did have a few hiccups at the beginning. We stayed in one of the newer suites, which is a considerable walk from the main areas of the hotel. While the shuttle service is available, we occasionally waited 30–40 minutes, which made getting around more difficult than expected. We also had a disappointing first dinner at the trattoria, where service was unusually slow. However, what really impressed us was how the management responded. Once they became aware of our concerns, they went above and beyond to make things right. Their genuine care, attentiveness, and commitment to ensuring we had a wonderful stay completely changed our experience. To top it off, we dined at their two-Michelin-star restaurant, and it was absolutely superb. From the impeccable service to the outstanding cuisine, it was one of the highlights of our trip and exactly what you’d hope for from a restaurant of that caliber. No hotel is perfect, and I believe what truly defines a luxury property is how it responds when something doesn’t go according to plan. Reschio exceeded our expectations in that regard. We left feeling genuinely valued as guests and appreciative of the exceptional efforts made by the team. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
An unforgettable July family vacation at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. Set on the most beautiful property we've ever seen, this place is simply stunning from every angle. The rooms were gorgeous, the restaurants were wonderful, and the farm tour was an absolute highlight, a memorable experience for the whole family. What truly set it apart, though, was the staff. Everyone was amazing and so helpful, making our stay effortless and special from start to finish. If you're looking for a family getaway in Tuscany, we couldn't recommend Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco more highly. We can't wait to return.
The property looks picture perfect and indeed it is even more beautifully than it looks. The service levels are outstanding. And this is across the villa we stayed at and the property restaurants we dined at. The cocktails at the clubhouse were exquisite - with ingredients from the gardens. The restaurant we has dinner in was as fabulous. Even the pizza lunch at our poolside was excellent. Unfortunately we had a bunch of vineyard visits and lunches - which were fabulous - but didn’t give us much time to enjoy the Villa and activities at the property. I must add that Valentina - who was assigned to our Villa - deserves a special call out. All in all a most memorable visit
