One of the cleanest and most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in Europe. We travel a lot and have stayed in many different hotels in different cities. For this reason, I rarely leave hotel reviews because I’m not trying to work a part time job reviewing decent hotels that are good but can use some improvements. I make exceptions for hotels that are really great or are horrible. Assaporarte in Florence is the first. I was initially skeptical about booking because of the number of reviews… there aren’t a lot. We took a chance and it paid off - the room was nice, air conditioned, comfortable, and clean; that we opted to spend more time in the room on certain days than walking around Florence. The location is great if you need to be near the train station. Although we just saw the host when we checked in, Fatima was very responsive whenever we reached out to her via whatsapp. There was no breakfast offered to us, but we did have access to their kitchen/dinning area that has packaged pastries and a coffee pod machine. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes around that we didn’t feel took anything away from our stay there. Assaporarte is not a traditional hotel so as long as you have an open mind to what that means, for example you have multiple keys to get in the building/apartment/room and there is no 24hour reception, this is one of the best places we’ve stayed at. The only “issue” to be aware of is that there is no elevator and the rooms are located on the 3rd floor. So bringing luggage up/down was a real challenge, even for us that we’re used to lugging around luggage on trains, buses, cobblestone streets, and stairs. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, convenient to everything, clean, modern. There are cookies and cakes out all the time, and assorted tea bags in the room. Fatima is helpful with all your needs.
Couple from Israel, we stayed 4 nights. Fatima was so friendly, she even helped us with the luggage! The building is very authentic, the rooms are on the 2nd floor (need to climb some stairs). The room is amazing, comfort, clean, we had everything we needed. The location is absolutely perfect, close to everything and the restaurants in the piazza down the building are good and less touristic. Strongly recommend this place!!!
A really lovely place. Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Florence. Location is ideal for walking everywhere. The rooms were spacious and we were given a choice of rooms. The hosts were great and very accommodating as we were delayed by a few hours when turning up. There are 3 rooms, all very well appointed and decorated plus some lovely shared areas including a small kitchen. We were shown all 3 and given a choice, as we were staying mid-week and they were not busy. We parked closed to the station and left our car there and walked 5 minutes or so to Assaporte. The garage was outside the restricted zone so no issues. If you are spending a few days in Florence, want to be central and have a lovely place to call base, I would recommend Assaporte.
Had a fantastic stay at this property. The room was exceptionallly clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Meticulously renovated, beautiful old Florentine building, very close to everything. Our host Fatima was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
