Started 1030am and our palate was ready. Guide Fabio started us off w Bicerin at Cafe Elena , a beautiful street side cafe. We got some history the proceeded down the block to a private chocolate experience, paired w a borolo. We were only 3 which added to experience. Time slipped by our guide but he never rushed, in fact he called to say he may be a few moments late for his next tour. I’d give 6 stars if possible

We enjoyed tasting the chocolate and learning how cocoa beans are made into chocolate. Fabio was very knowledgeable about the chocolate-making process and history and made the experience fun.
Fabio provided a thorough dive into the history of Torinese chocolate. We enjoyed the chocolate and wine pairing plus learning a bit about the history of Vermouth. Loved the bicerìn!!!!
Very tasty and tasty n formative tour. However it felt rushed felt like there was no time for questions
I loved that Fabio considers this an experience rather than a tour. Indeed his own knowledge of chocolate and the nuances of different chocolates made it so. Gracie Fabio!
It was so educational and fun! We learned a lot about factors that influence how the chocolate tastes. We would recommend this activity!
Very enlightening, enthusiastic, and of course delicious. We went and bought some recommended chocolate afterwards.
An interesting talk and a friendly guide but the price of the "tour"was absolutely not justified. For that s what you only get : a talk about chocolate processing and flavors around a table with a moka, then a few pieces of chocolate and a litte dessert wine.
Fabio was the most amazing guide, he was super knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Turin
This was way more than just chocolate! Fabio was a wonderful guide to Torino history and food culture. He’s knowledgeable and passionate about lots of different foods and happy to educate his clients. As we walked parts of the city he shared local history with us and the chocolate tasting was amazing. It was a fun way to spend a couple hours.
Fabio was the best tour guide. We learned so much about the city, chocolate and wine pairing in a very short 1.5 hours. We would definitely explore more in the culinary arts with travel in the future. Thank you Fabulous Fabio for the culinary journey in Turin.
Fabio was knowledgeable, engaging, and flexible. His mix of professionalism and personality made the tour enjoyable for everyone in our group from 8 to 70
Fabio very knowledgable, spoke good English. We upgraded from just chocolate to chocolate and wine, which he handled with no issues. We were a small group of 3 couples, which was ideal. Giovanni at the Chocolate shop also knows his stuff - we tried so many samples!
Fantastic and inspiring ! Me and my partner took the tour in the afternoon with Fabio and had a wonderful time. Fabio was very charismatic and friendly, has a background in food tasting and culture, the perfect guide ! He explained the history of bicerin and the cafe, along with a commentary on our way to the second chocolate place. He provided both quality and quantity and had an extensive knowledge of all the chocolates offered. I would highly recommend this tour with Fabio and it was the perfect end to our holiday :)
Great little tour. Didn’t know that Turin was famous for its chocolate & invented hazelnut chocolate. Would recommend this tour.
I liked this tour because it was relatively short and not just about eating chocolate. We appreciated starting with a coffee (with chocolate), then a bit of sightseeing and history before visiting a specialty chocolate shop. The owner is a passionate chocolate connoisseur and we learnt about the intricacies of what makes good chocolate and taste tested various varieties. The talk was lively, but the information was repetitive and or lost in translation. The information was also directed to one person in our group with the rest of us kind of feeling left out. Our guide also asked for a tip, which was a bit cheeky because I felt we paid an adequate amount for the tour (Australians generally don’t tip unless the service is particularly good). Otherwise the tour guide was nice and the tour entertaining and enjoyable.
The chocolate was lovely and Fabio was a great guide! We learned so much about chocolate and saw some really great and beautiful parts of the city!
The chocolate tasting was very interesting. The chocolates were created with high quality ingredients and featured a variety of textures and flavors that surprised and delighted the palate. An unmissable experience for chocolate lovers! Thanks to Fabio for making this experience unique.
We were greeted very kindly by the guide and given an engaging introduction to the world of chocolate. He showed us different types of chocolate, made from various cocoa beans and prepared in different ways. We also got to taste a delicious spicy Barolo vermouth, which combined perfectly with the chocolate. We had never looked at chocolate this way before, a truly surprising and tasteful experience. We definitely recommend this tour!
Perfect for gluttons and curious of all ages. Fabio's passion for gastronomy, the history of food and his city made the afternoon really enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the careful choice of chocolates to taste in combination with an ad hoc wine: we did not get the impression that often you have on these tours of a tasting for advertising purposes. Also because the tasting with explanations (in our case, in English) took place in a room and not in the chocolate shop from which the products chosen by Fabio came. Fabio's passion for gastronomy, the history of food, and his city made for a truly enjoyable afternoon. We particularly appreciated the careful selection of chocolates and their pairing with wine: unlike similar tours, we didn’t feel like he was trying to promote a particular brand. It also helped that the tasting and the thorough explanations took place in a comfortable bistro rather than in the chocolate shop from which Fabio had selected the pralines.
Beautiful experience conducted by Fabio who with great sympathy and professionalism guided us to discover the delicious and fascinating world of chocolate with truly unique tastings.
Visit really very interesting. The Fabio guide from 10 and praise! Highly recommended for couples but also individuals or groups
It was an interesting activity that led me to discover a world about chocolate and the price is reasonable in relation to the tasting done! Fabio, the guide, and the owner of the ‘chocolate shop’ both very well prepared on the subject, nice and helpful!
Fabio I have all the characteristics for this job. Professional, genitle and charismatic. Chocolate is really special. The cheese is high quality. And the wine is wonderful. Thank you from Malta.
Fabio super prepared and kind, native English and Italian speakers, a perfect person to accompany a tour in a pleasant way and answer all questions about places, cultures, local food and drink. Super recommended also to those from the city!
The tour was exciting for chocolate connoisseurs and lovers like us. Special praise to the guide Fabio, who was able to transmit and make appreciate with passion, professionalism and sympathy the gastronomic culture of the Savoy. We highly recommend it, of course accompanied by Fabio.
The tour consisted of 2 stops: the first from Stratta, a historic pastry shop in Turin, where we drank a 'bicerin' and the second in a chocolate shop. I found the second stage very interesting as it was a real sensory experience. Fabio, our guide, proved helpful and prepared. Highly recommended experience that lasted about 2.5 hours.
Unique and very special experience. Fabio was a great Guide, super helpful. We discovered a world unknown to us and tasted many types of chocolate from all over the world. Highly recommended!
This experience was very interesting. The Guide, Fabio is simply perfect, prepared and very nice. Thank you and see you soon!
Too bad for the price. But two chocolate shops have been And in the explanation there was much more. I was sorry. The Guide was fun
Fabio Guide perfect. Courtesy and professionalism at the top. Very good. Recommended tour chocolate is always chocolate.
Fabio, the Guide, definitely flawless. Gentle, unquestionably prepared, attentive. The flaw is that both me and my friend, we found that with the excellent Bicèrin and with 6 chocolates in such a short time and without being offered water, the experience is a bit ‘pulled on a taste level. (Recommend doing it in the morning, to save on lunch 🤣). Make no mistake, nothing to say about the products, but I think 38€ per person is definitely exaggerated for what is offered. I repeat... 5 balls for Fabio, but otherwise it is a bit of a “mah...”
The experience was disappointing and much shorter than expected from the description: not an hour and a half but a poor hour. In addition, the architecture part was not received. In fact, a hasty tour to taste the various types of chocolate, and we were not even provided with water, which we had to buy separately. The tour is not worth the price.
