Beyond Turin there are several wonderful places that we can reach, such as the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi, was built in the 1730s to a design by Juvarra and is peraphs his finest work. The exterior of the palace has been restored, while the interior is as luxurious as ever, and incorporates the Museo d'Arte e Ammobiliamento, a collection of art and furniture from other Savoy palaces. Stupinigi castle is closed on Mondays.
A forbidding fortified abbey anchored atop a rocky hill, the Sacra di San Michele. To reach the church, you must climb 150 steps, past 12th-century sculptures, from the Porta dello Zodiaco, a splendid Romanesque doorway decorated with the signs of the zodiac. On the left side of the interior are 16th-century frescoes representing New Testaments themes; on the right are depictions of the founding of the church. Note that some sections of the abbey are open only on weekends and, when particularly crowded, visit may be limited to hour-long tours. Weather permitting, the views from the walls and terraces surrounding the church are breathtaking. If the weather is snowy you cannot reach the Sacra di San Michele , the tour guide will suggest an alternative itinerary.
Sorry to say we had a poor experience here, the house itself was in somewhat a closed down feel to it, half was not open, the half that was open only the main room was worth seeing. As for the gardens they were all dug up and closed off, yet there had been no reduction in price.
A pleasant day with a friendly guide/driver who created a relaxed atmosphere during the car ride to the Hunting Palace and Sacra di San Michele. The (private) guide during the tour in Stupinigi Hunting Palace had the right balance between historical information and pleasant conversation. All in all a well spent day in Piemonte.

Very beautiful, impressive, well preserved. It is better to see it in the company of a guide. The gardens are beautiful, but I thought they would be more impressive. In the courtyard of the palace, it is also possible to organize wedding parties. One was scheduled for today.

Very interesting visit. Very well managed by the Guide. Very good driver and nice deal. He made our trip easier by providing us with a guide on the visit to the Stupinigi hunting lodge. At mid-morning he promoted us a snack on foot from the Abbey of San Miguel.
The Stupinigi Palace is very nice, worth visiting and the Sacra di San Michele is a stunning monastery with beautiful views. A highly recommended excursion
Impressive construction without frills. The interior did not arouse much emotion apart from some rooms such as the central hall, the bedroom and the hall of the Bonzanigo.
I went with my daughter to visit him, maybe a bit expensive the ticket, but nothing to say, it was maybe a bit hot, but I would come back and Recommendation!
Despite being Piedmontese we had not yet visited this Savoy residence. Thanks to a spectacular day and a guide, Tatiana, who was truly excellent and very knowledgeable, we had a beautiful and thorough visit. What to say about the structure, fantastic! But what surprised me was the furnishings, some, just some of the Piffetti furniture on display are worth the visit. Once the restoration of the gardens is finished we will return!
I really enjoyed visiting this further Savoy residence. Truly beautiful and full of various furniture and furnishings. The large living room with a huge chandelier truly leaves you speechless. The large and long avenue to get there is also very suggestive.
Very beautiful castle, small but delightful, set for numerous fiction and films. The downside is the exorbitant cost of the ticket given the denied access to some areas and also to the castle park. However, very nice and easily reachable from Turin by bus
We organized a tour to this castle in less than 24 hours. We called the number on the site and immediately managed to book a guided tour for a group of 8 people. The staff was very friendly. Our guide was very good and clear in the explanation. The place is gorgeous, easy to visit and accessible to everyone.
A magnificent place. Part of the crown of delights, the set of Savoy residences around Turin, the hunting lodge is perhaps one of the most beautiful and least known jewels outside the region. Not to be missed.
