Our tour was signed on with Guiseppe. He was only our driver. We had the tour with another tour guide. Odd that tickets for the venue were in addition to the tour guide, since we were going to tour the palace and grounds. Why not build it into the total price of the excursion. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and guide.

Made a quick decision to make a visit here, which was well worth it. We covered the whole house & gardens, which was really worth it. History of the house & what it has seen was a revelation, early flight was unexpected, the use by the military & then the decline, from which it has recovered to be a stunning place to visit. The Long hall was so eye catching, please take a look at the various pieces of decoration along the hall, some will make you laugh. Then we spent time in the Gardens, which with the mountain backdrop are just awesome & make for some great photos. As it was open to 7pm, we made the most of the warm evening, spending time sitting by the lake. A great day out.
I visited the Royal Palace for one of the many exhibitions that are offered. In this case it was the "Queens on Stage" exhibition where beautiful stage costumes of movie queens were displayed alongside the dresses of real queens. Very well done and interesting
Beautiful evening experience, gardens illuminated by a myriad of candles, music festival and above all nice and cool (bring a jacket). The next visit will be the inside of the villa...... Wait for meeeeeeee
We are here in a high place of the Court of Savoy, equivalent to the Palace of Versailles for the Court of France. Visiting the gardens in the morning allows you to take refuge inside in the afternoon to escape the heatwave. There were very few visitors, which allowed me to walk through the almost deserted Galleria grande! The explanations are available in Italian, French, and English. The temporary exhibition "Regine in scena" was very interesting and original.
The Reggia di Venaria is a masterpiece.
Very beautiful, I recommend purchasing the guide to download on your phone to have all the information. The garden is a spectacle, especially now that all the rose bushes are in bloom.
Wonderful!!!!!! I had already gone to visit the Palace and this time we went to the gardens..... how wonderful.... despite there were so many people you could walk quietly.... we had a picnic on the lawn I recommend it....
Go back to the Royal Palace for the umpteenth time, this time for the cherry blossom. Fantastic experience, the palace always nice to visit!!!!
An unforgettable visit. Enchanting palace, jewel of the Baroque that offers environments rich in history hosts very interesting temporary exhibitions. Once you arrive at the Galleria Grande your eyes fill with wonder. Must-see places.
beautiful hunting lodge of the royal family, although almost entirely rebuilt and recently opened to the public. Unfortunately you visit so many empty rooms that do not make full life then, but I have to say a great job.
Just beautiful... and to think that it had been abandoned and turned into warehouses, stables, troop rooms. A recovery and meticulous restoration that give us in its elegant Baroque splendor. There are many salons that deserve attention, but the magnificent reception hall remains etched in the memory and heart. The gardens are a perfect example of botanical architecture and the reconstruction of the fountains allows you to understand how rich the artistic decorations were. Inside the Palace there are also exhibition spaces and we had the opportunity to visit two current exhibitions: one dedicated to Fernand Lerger (French artist of the 1960s/70s who had a lot of influence on some of his colleagues of the time) and the one on the doges who ruled Genoa. Beautiful set-ups.
I went to see the exhibition "Magnificent collections", beautiful and very well organized exhibition, I went on Wednesday and there were few people, which allowed me to admire the works on display in the best way. At the end of the visit I asked for information to a very kind lady of the staff; I wanted to buy the catalog and, since I am disabled, I have difficulty walking, the lady gave me all the necessary information and I could send my daughter-in-law to make the purchase. I thank again the lady whose name I did not ask. Congratulations for the excellent organization and the kind assistance received.
If you come to Turin The Reggia di Venaria is a must-see. I recommend taking the Turin card with which you enter for free in all museums and royal palaces. The palace is more beautiful than the Royal Palace. I recommend adding € 6 ticket and take the guide otherwise you do not understand the beauty of the interior. Such a ticket It can be purchased on site.
Online booking very simple. This palace is full of things to see. The checkerboard floor is really nice to see
The Palace itself is interesting, but, not to be missed, the temporary exhibition "Magnificent collections". Important works from the national museums of Genoa, from the Spinola Palace of Fur and others. Works by Rubens, Van Dyck, Gentileschi (Orazio), Guido Reni are on display. Maratta. Giordano and others. Beautiful Mood with tinted windows that allows you to see the depths of the paintings. I really appreciated it. Less interesting is that of modern art that can be visited in the Citroneria dedicated to the works of Anthony Mc Call "Solid Light" where some of his light sculptures are presented. It's my limit, but I didn't appreciate it. In the tour you can see on display the Throne of the restored Royal Palace of Naples, this one in the Queen's Parade Chamber. In Diana's room you can see a Multimedia installation entitled "Frames" that I honestly did not look at, while to see are the 64 ink drawings of the 70s by Francesco Tullio Altan always exhibited in the room of the Arts. In the Gardens you can admire various art installations. It's worth the time and expense.
Very beautiful. With the Torino card you can visit everything for free. The garden is huge. Too bad it's tiring on foot.
A visit he really deserves. The route in the palace is well structured and organized. The gardens are fantastic.. congratulations to the gardeners
The rooms are bare and besides the gardens and the central lounge, the rest is disappointing. Restoration fruit very important. Beautiful church and stables
It is one of many Savoy residences, an immense palace as well as the park that surrounds it. Over the years, buildings have been added by Filippo Juvarra and other architects. For years it has been a restoration work and today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The interior is a bit bare because the French destroyed some buildings. After the arrival of Napoleon it became barracks and in the gardens horses and cannons replaced the flower beds. Once the military garrison was removed, the Palace was prey to vandals, who stripped it of its beauty. Today the stables are beautiful and the bucintoro is beautiful. The garden of the Royal Palace was voted the most beautiful public park in Italy in 2019. .
Lovely palace. Amazing architectural recovery work that was done (well documented inside). I reached the palace from the center of Turin using the normal bus network. I would not recommend the Venaria express for the cost of the ticket and for reduced hours. If you have purchased a ticket to see the Castle of the Herd, you should know that they are almost 3 km from each other and there is no transport. I recommend renting an e-bike or a simple bicycle (at a modest price) near the entrance of the Palace and enjoy a nice bike ride. You can do various routes that also have riding stables and refreshment points.
The place is very nice and especially very large. The full visit can take several hours. It is always worth booking the guided tour. The paths along the rooms are unclear and you can easily "lose" them. If you accidentally skip some rooms you can no longer go back because you are prevented. The park is very large and can accommodate thousands of visitors. The bar is a nightmare, better to arrive already with what you need. The advice is to visit calmly and enjoy the beauty of the place.
Lovely place: the gardens are well-kept and above all flowery, they are wonderful, unfortunately we did not see them with cherry trees because they had faded, but they deserve in any case for a pleasant walk in the green; the interiors are also well kept and the route is interesting, they are not rich in typical furnishings or particularly well-known works of art, but they are still worth a visit. I highly recommend spending a day at the palace in company. The only flaws I found: the price is not exactly cheap, since the full entrance costs 24 euros, but especially the staff both at the ticket office and inside the various rooms, was very rude and not at all available to give directions
Drawn here mainly by the cherry blossom we went to the palace. What about .. the structure itself is gorgeous and the gardens are really immense and well maintained. I highly recommend buying your ticket online to avoid the long queues outside the ticket office, especially during flowering periods. Once you get to everyone's favorite destination the amazement is indescribable .. a spot of immense pink
When you see it from the outside it leaves you breathless by how immense it is. The Royal Palace is worth a visit of at least 2 or 3 hours, considering that the garden is very large for very long walks. The route itself is not striking, in the Palace we do not find furniture or objects belonging to royalty and many rooms are half empty probably plundered. Nevertheless, the central white salon alone deserves special attention in a word...immense and spectacular to leave you breathless.
Royal Palace of Venaria REALE + GARDENS 4 March 2025 Forced to 1 dot, I would put 0 I've dreamed of it for years... Running match of Milan towards Collegno x "moral support" of historic friend.... I find myself having lunch a few steps from Venaria. So I decide to take advantage of the opportunity... Arrived at the ticket office begins a nightmare that I summarize with: RUDENESS and DISORGANIZATION. Still, "warm the place up", poor ability to interact with audience, barely knowing your LOCATION (in the theaters) At the ticket office you reach apotheosis of menefreghismo, arrogance, disorganization.... I am referring to Mrs. Desirée & company: the cashiers are provided with badges that hold backwards and, after treating the customers badly and with sufficiency (hands in pockets) they REFUSE to TURN IT, SO THEY DO NOT SHOW THEIR NAME. In addition they are misinformed about schedules and various writings on their site and give incorrect info about audio listening. DIY Council DO NOT COUNT on knowledge placement of staff, ready only to REITERATE 1000 times room of their stool and nothing more. ONLY POSITIVE NOTES : 2 young hostesses welcome at the 'Reggia entrance + lady at the earphones. I LOOK FORWARD TO CALLING MANAGERS.
Beautiful palace for how it has been restored, for the preparation of the route between the historic premises that offers a very effective and well-structured explanation even with captivating and engaging videos. Truly fascinating also for the unique pieces present, its gardens and its regal atmosphere of what was our Italian kingdom. Where's the bitter? At the end of the inner path there is a nice shop of many books and some gift items but arrived to pay...deserted cash! Cash register open with still the last line visible but no sign to give an opening time, break or a banal "I'll be right back". After five minutes of total limbo I called the palace number but they didn't know if the cashier was on her lunch break. The pause is an INALIENABLE right but abandoning a book shop to fend for itself is unacceptable: I blame those responsible for not being able to organize the closure of the shop. A couple of guards of the palace (not of the shop) twenty meters knew nothing, nor from their distance could they have seen any visitor less honest than me who, impatient, could have left very quietly without paying anything. What have I done? Very bitter I put my almost purchases on the counter and sadly left, because I had an appointment in Mappano and I could not be late. That's sad. This is what I would never want to see in our beautiful Italy but this is how we are: very good at some things and absolutely and absurdly disorganized in others.
Another Piedmontese masterpiece but unfortunately while the exteriors are really beautiful and bring back in time inside the original and 'there is very little left For what you visit cost of Overestimated ticket
I recommend the ticket All in a Palace because they give the opportunity to see also the interesting exhibitions that are set up and the gardens where finally you can see the fountain of Hercules after restoration. The interiors are sumptuous, the Galleria Grande is remarkable, interesting the Juvarrian Stables where the Bucintoro dei Savoia and the Royal carriages are kept. Given the amount of rooms to visit, it is useful to divide the day between Reggia, lunch break outside the structure and return to see gardens and exhibitions, provided you are in possession of the All in a Reggia ticket. For those arriving by train the Royal Palace is a 10-minute walk from the station.
Easily accessible by public transport during the week, disappointing overall visit. I expected much more from the visit of a palace so vaunted but touristically poorly organized.
Pleasant visit to the Palace during a gray rainy day, winding along the 59 rooms that tell the Savoy dynasty, according to the habits of royalty and protocols of the time. Museum very well maintained and well set up, very courteous staff, understandable visit even without a guide. Duration about 2 hours, cost 16 euros per person (adults). Deserving
This morning we returned to the Royal Palace for the umpteenth time to visit the exhibition on Capodimonte, which I highly Recommendation. On the way out I decided to stop at the bar to enjoy a Moroccan (coffee with milk and cocoa foam), contemplated, of course, in the price list. Bartender Response: " I can't do that because I don't have cocoa." There is no bar in the most remote country in Italy that does not have a cocoa spreader! Not to mention that in the bare shelves behind the counter are thrown in bulk 4 packets of biscuits, while excellent Piedmontese products could be enhanced. A missed opportunity!
Wonderful Palace on the outskirts of Turin, magical place to visit definitely, beautiful gardens spectacular interior rooms, absolutely to visit.
If you go to Turin, this palace is definitely a place to visit, impressive, well maintained and with a park and gardens really royal
I was at the Palace on a Wednesday week. Too bad that during the week several attractions are not available, such as the train (for a fee) that goes around the garden, the bar inside the garden is closed, the fountain show at the entrance is active only on weekends. So why doesn't the ticket price change? If you give fewer services I expect a lower price, even just one euro, which would perhaps entice other tourists to avoid the weekend crowd
Beautiful structure, recovered very well even if it would need some additional intervention. What leads me to give a Rating "Average" + due to the fact that going in the week, i.e. not on Saturday or Sunday, many spaces are not usable. The little train that goes around the garden (for a fee) there is only at the weekend as well as the bar inside the garden or even the fountain show at the entrance of the palace. Why then pay the same ticket? Would it not be correct to charge 20€ for the weekend and ... maybe "only" 18€ on weekdays? It would also encourage tourists to visit it during the week, out of the crowd of the weekend.
is a real jewel whose beauty satisfies the visitor's gaze, the hall from the checkerboard floor is magnificent and from outside the palace you can admire the Alps, which fill the hearts of those who can see them with joy
We were enchanted by the internal gardens... beautiful, all very well looked after! Beautiful internal fountain! To be recommended
Very beautiful, well kept both inside and in the gardens. Outside there is also a street with bars, ice cream parlors and more that is worth a walk. It's worth going there. Ticket cost (garden and palace) €16. From a Milanese Milanese fan
Stunning place! Nothing to complain about, to visit at least once in your life. The only flaw is if you don't bring a packed lunch, prices are beyond any logic! Considering that so many families visit the Palace, you can't have such high prices on sandwiches and the like. I spent more on three sandwiches and two waters than I did on admission!
A palace which, in terms of rooms, has nothing to envy of European palaces. The park is immense, perhaps more attention should be given to the floral decorations, as well as the route indications inside the rooms
Disappointment. Maybe it was because I had already seen the Royal Palace of Caserta and Versailles, but there is little or nothing here. The collections were scarce, the audio guide was not available, so we had to settle for reading. Immense gardens but without flowers, some fountains and closed bicycle rental, not to mention the state of the bathrooms! An experience not to be repeated without considering that the ticket costs 16 euros.
Typical example of Italian (dis)organization. A map is not given and the indications inside the park are very poor. Cute cherry trees in bloom in spring. Rental bikes go from March 1st but today is Saturday the 22nd and everything is closed.
beautiful majestic and very beautiful structure. very reminiscent of Versailles!!! maybe it's better to visit with a guide.. which unfortunately I didn't do. in March the gardens were unfortunately very barren and many plants were dry. I was sorry that there were no indications about the limited functioning of the fountain, the little train that goes around the gardens only in high season or on weekends. while I was visiting the garden I tried to call for information and a dial comes in saying that due to the intense traffic it is not possible to answer... this is really serious because the day I went the palace was almost empty, the doorman and ticket office workers who were rioting didn't have customers (it's certainly not their fault if there were no visitors)... it seems to me that the phone that activates a disk is not exactly a good business card!!
A truly interesting place from an artistic and architectural point of view. One of the most important restorations in Europe. Absolutely worth seeing if you are in Turin.
Truly beautiful place that tells the story of the Savoy dynasty and the history of Turin and Italy until the end of the Monarchy in the 1940s. There are many rooms with paintings, sculptures and artefacts. The stable area, the Turner exhibition and the royal banquets are interesting. The visit route ends at the gardens where you can take a peaceful walk. The duration is approximately 3 hours.
An undeniably precious treasure in the hands of rude, arrogant and unprepared staff. Little desire to work, abrupt manner and no control from superiors make the desire disappear starting from the ticket office. As a resident I would be entitled to purchase a card to access the gardens, but the ticket office cash desk seems not to be the same as the access to the other attractions (pity it's not written anywhere) so, after an hour of queuing I hear a reply with annoyed that "the register is already closed" (at the free will of the colleague who manages it obviously!) Education is not for everyone…
Very beautiful to look at! Immense, if you want to see it well and retrace its well-explained story step by step, room by room, you have to take half a day. Everything well cared for and well placed.
Visit to the palace of Venaria on the first of the year Two hour visit with stables and bucintoro and gardens. 2 hours 16 euros...
The palace is well kept and offers a very interesting historical journey that goes from the origins of Turin to the end of the Savoy dynasty. In addition to the Palace and the beautiful adjoining gardens, it is possible to visit the exhibitions hosted on the upper floors (the exhibition dedicated to William Turner seen during my visit was beautiful) Absolutely worth visiting.
