We arrived at Pessione station - Casa Martini was just across the road! It was a little deserted, but the staff were very friendly. We had an hour to tour the museum ourselves, which was just right and we learned a lot. After the hour, we got a lovely tour of the distillery from Andrea. As it was just the two of us, he made us feel very welcome and clearly had lots of passion for the company and its products. The tasting was brilliant and he was very informative and the cocktail at the end was well worth the extra fee! A real highlight of our few days in Turin. If you like Martini/vermouth/aperativo then do it!!
Saw this from a unusual things to do in Turin website and I’m glad I did..I believe that they have recently changed their tour. The entry signs could be better I ended up in their offices initially but was re directed to the museum. The museum reception was very good, a brief explanation of the tour we had booked where to go etc.... However we did not enter the self guided tour in the incorrect place, so it would have been great if they had pointed out that the start of the tour was via wooden doors near the terrace. The self guided tour was good especially when it was in cinque with the audio guide.Loved the tour with the guide who was very knowledgeable, more access to the production areas would have been great. Would have liked to have had a bar/cafe nothing at all was very disappointing.I realised that they are also selling their tours with taster/cocktail classes so it would be a conflict of interest I suppose. The tasters were great by the way. Do try their tours.
We attended an event organized by "club silencio", also taking advantage of the visit to the plant, all very well organized and set up with care. The choice of cocktails is a little limited, where classic Martini collections such as Vesper or vodkatini were excluded but it is probably a choice of the organization of the event.
The museum is beautiful and you should spend more time listening to all the audio, but as part of the guided tour there is no time to do so. The guided tour of the factory is well done. For the tasting I expected a little more, just 3 tastings and breadsticks.
Very interesting and well explained. The guide went to a lot of trouble so that we understood well the only non-Italians of the visit. It is easily reached by train from Turin.
Visit on 19/12/2024 afternoon in a very friendly small group. We learned a lot from our guide Erica who took care of Us wonderfully. With for my wife and I an excellent Americano prepared with care and professionalism all accompanied by good snacks. I highly recommend it. Thanks again. Happy Christmas!
I bought the €25 ticket for the guided tour with final tasting directly from the Casa Martini site and I honestly do not recommend it. The tour takes place quickly and superficially from my point of view, you go from room to room without having time to read and see with the calm and attention that the museum deserves, the panels, the movies, the photos and the descriptions and stories explained on the signs along the way. I came away disappointed and with the impression that that kind of tour is mainly aimed at bringing visitors to buy Martini products in the Casa Martini store rather than a cultural end. Too bad...maybe I'll come back doing only the basic tour, without their Guide
We carried out the guided tour of the martini house, where from the second half of the 1800s are produced the liqueurs among the best known in the world. Very interesting museum, with the possibility to smell different ingredients used for liquors, display of bottles from the beginning to today, the history of advertising, and much more. Then we visit the factory, with a view to the production and refinement of the products. Final cherry tasting of three products. Two hours intense and very pleasant. Fantastic experience.
Unexpected experience, journey into history, among archaeological finds and intoxicating scents, told by a guide with excellent exposure capacity.
Unmissable visit to a giant of the beverage industry. The guide is very knowledgeable about the history of the company and the production process. Maybe the tour is a little long, but very good. And it ends with a brief tasting that makes it more attractive.
The ticket purchased included a visit to the museum, a visit to the factory and a tasting. The museum was nice and interesting, it traces the history of this large family. The visit to the factory was very short, we were introduced to a very small part of the factory and also in a somewhat hasty way, with explanations that were not always exhaustive. The tasting consisted of two samples of vermouth and one of dry white wine accompanied by a small packet of breadsticks. For the amount spent the visit could have been longer and the tasting of the drinks should have been accompanied by something more.
Excellent experience, excellent organization, the guy we did the tour with was good and professional. Good final tasting. Shop with different gadgets. An Italian pearl, worth seeing. Advised!
Esperienza super, guide preparate e attente, regalo di Natale apprezzato. :) Consiglio a tutti questa esperienza
Recommended experience! The wine museum is very interesting, preceding the visit to the Martini museum, full of unique and essential archaeological finds to understand how we got to the present day. The Martini museum is very well looked after, full of technical information, photos, documents and memorabilia that trace the history of the Martini house. The added value of this experience is certainly the visit to the factory which, although limited to a couple of areas, allows you to come into contact with the product and the daily life behind the excellence.
The visit begins from outside, from the Pessione station which reminds us of where we are, from the beautiful structure that makes up the historic house of Martini and Rossi and from the shop, where beautiful objects and liqueurs already tempt you to enter this iconic world. We then leave the shop and move immediately to the cellars, are narrated by a guide, who explains all the parts well and is ready to satisfy various curiosities (for example: how do you understand when a vermouth is ready in the production, having to maintain the same standard but being produced in "unique" conditions each time? I won't reveal it to you obviously!). After a more technical and museum-like part, we then move on to the factory where, unfortunately, we can only see the loading/unloading yards, the room with the stills (only from the outside) and the room with the tanks containing the alcohol (what a smell!) . I think the most beautiful part of the production is the bottling but we were told that it is not visible to the public, which is a shame. I would like to point out that my visit is part of the "Piedmont 2023 open factories" event but the proposed tour is 90% similar to the "privilege" tour on the site, with a difference in the final tasting: instead of three products, we were offered a cocktail , accompanied by two chips. Cute, without infamy or praise. However, the part of the factory (a real house in this case) where the event space is located is very beautiful. I absolutely recommend the visit and indeed, I don't rule out giving it to other people in the future and returning with them. I also took home a delicious bottle of special amber reserve!
With a group of friends/colleagues I took the guided tour of Casa Martini in Pessione. The Museum is located in the cellars and is very beautiful: it should be advertised much more. The kind lady who accompanied us is very prepared and affable. A bit too simplistic the visit to the Plant: we saw only huge containers of Moscato... no production lines (preparation, bottling, labelling, packaging...) too bad! Tasting of three products with only a packet of breadsticks (low profile...) well described by the sommelier. And well stocked dealership with competitive prices. Comfortable and large parking.
A visit to the old cellars with an explanation of how the ancient Romans prepared and served the living. It was a move for me.
The visit is organized very well with a real guide (very good) who makes you discover the history and production technique of Martini products. Personally I had the wrong idea of the product and I believed there was a lot of 'chemistry' to produce the flavor and color instead I discovered a product of excellence and natural. Even the final tasting is done well. Unfortunately, like all things in Piedmont, these activities are not advertised enough I discovered it just by chance. That's a shame. I live in Barcelona and they trumpet them to the 4 winds that vermouth they invented (with lots of signs at the airport) and repeat it in guided tours and there are also many vermoutheries that offer aperitifs and are very successful...
We visited Casa Martini during our holidays. The interesting visit to the Museum even if I thought a little more interactive. The "Cathedral" was a pleasant surprise! Reservations are required to access the property. At the end of the visit a pleasant tasting of the main and best known delicacies of Martini. It is easily accessible by car and there is ample free parking or by train.
Remarkable experience both visual and sensory: The tour of the museum and the guided tour of the "manufacturing" plant of the area, where the famous aperitif and all the other products of the range are prepared, deserves all the time of the case. The beauty of 22,000 bottles a day comes out and distributed worldwide. The tasting part - and explanations - helps to understand how much is behind this very famous label.
Beautiful experience, interesting, starting from the history of the house to the present day. Enthusiastic, kind and prepared escort. Absolutely recommended and at the end an excellent tasting prepared by welcoming and experienced staff!
Tuor about the history of the house Martini molto bello.La guide who explained was very nice and kind, in the end we were offered a proud martini with chips.
