What an incredible cooking experience! It was such a pleasure spending the evening learning to make fresh pasta and tiramisu while getting to know Benedetta and her wonderful family. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Italian Cooking Experience in Turin! What an absolutely fabulous experience! Our cooking class in Turin was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! What made it even more special was experiencing the love of Italian cooking through three generations of a beautiful family, including the most wonderful grandmother! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were welcomed into the home of dear friends. The warmth, laughter, stories, and family traditions made this so much more than just a cooking class. Watching three generations share their passion for food and family was something truly special. Our host was absolutely delightful, and the grandmother was such a treasure! The food was incredible, but the love and hospitality behind it made the entire experience unforgettable. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and memories we will cherish forever. This was authentic Italy at its finest — delicious food, beautiful traditions, and the sweetest family! If you’re visiting Turin, this is an absolute MUST! Five stars simply aren’t enough! 🇮🇹❤️🍝
Pasta & Tiramisu class with Bernadetta was excellent and fun. She is clearly a master with pasta, but also a very good teacher. It was fun being with a group I have not met before. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
My husband and I had such a lovely experience being welcomed by Geni. She and her husband hosted us in their home, which gave us an opportunity to leave the touristy downtown and see how people really live in Torino. They were very patient with our lack of Italian language and our lack of cooking experience. Everything turned out delicious! I wish we had brought to-go boxes!
The cooking class was great! Our hosts were so generous with their time and shared many suggestions not just for cooking but also for our time in Italy. We had a great time!
To put it in one word, horrible! Firstly the experience never happened. Our original booking was for 11am which is early but that was what was available to us at the time. Day of we arrive at 11am only check the booking on their site and it was scheduled for 6pm that same day. We thought ok no big deal we can make that work and returned at 6pm. When we rang the doorbell, the lady told us she had us booked for tomorrow. We were unable to accommodate that as we had other plans and none of these changes were made clear to us either via email or text. All in all the lack of rescheduling and non compliant staff made it a 0 star for us. We were very much looking forward to this class as it had great reviews
Had a wonderful time learning to make pasta with Matteo. We had a lively, interesting, fun conversation about many things. He was an excellent host. After we left we realized we to also make tiramisu with didn’t happen. Otherwise is was a fun experience
We had the best time in the cooking lesson. Matteo and Gabriel were so welcoming. It was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend! Molto bene!
This is the best way to experience local Italian cuisine. Donetta was incredibly talented and helped everyone learned the proper techniques for making pasta, ravioli and tiramisu. She was warm and welcoming in her home - and made dinner feel like a family gathering.
I can't say enough nice things about this experience. We felt so welcome and enjoyed not just the cooking lessons but the socializing and of course the eating! Highly recomment
The cooking class with Doretta was fun, informative, and ended in a delicious dinner with new friends! Although her English was limited, Doretta did an excellent job helping us make Tiramisu, ravioli, and farfalle from scratch. We loved learning her techniques, and after we prepared the fresh pasta, we sat down as she presented us with a fantastic dinner. It was delicious and excellent for vegetarians, with dishes from eggplant Parmesan to fondue, and of course the pasta and tiramisu we had made. Would recommend this experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience with Sara and Alesso. We learnt how to make the perfect gnocchi, pasta and tiramisu in a relaxed and fun environment. Their love of food was infectious and their knowledge of Italian cuisine was fantastic. We will certainly be trying out our new skills back home. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We truly recommend this experience.
This cooking class was so much fun! Doretta was so kind and patient and we enjoyed every minute of her cooking class! She prepared wonderful food for us on top of the tiramisu and pasta we made. I highly recommend this class!
This is a must do if you are in Turin. The couple were so lovely, the food was spectacular! We felt like we were dining with family, met some life long friends!
My son loves pasta and we chose a pasta making class as an early birthday present for him. He loves to be in the kitchen and we had a wonderful experience. Our teacher was so informative and kind. Her home is lovely and we had a lovely time learning about pasta and Italy.
We had a great time with Matteo and his partner. They were enthousiast and taught us a lot of tips and tricks. Thank you for the fabulous morning. Anneloes & friends
We’re not big on leaving reviews but this experience was our highlight in Turin. Eugenia & Doro were excellent hosts and we had a lot of fun preparing the pasta dishes and desert over a nice wine. We then all sat together & enjoyed the delicious meal we prepared. It is well worth doing this if you are after a unique dining experience.
One of the best excursions/classes I've ever booked! Eugenia and Mauro welcomed us into their own home, served us an aperitivo, wine, and taught us how to make the most beautiful pasta (ravioli, agnolotti) and tiramisu. An unforgettable evening with my sisters. Thank you so much!
Best experience to share with my daughter! Definitely a great way to learn authentic Italian pasta recipes and tiramisu from a local cook. It was a pleasure and thankful to Barbara for welcoming us in her home, she was very accommodating! Highly recommend this activity in Turin to my friends and family!
We had an amazing time with Sara and Alessio! They are very kind and generous and are excellent hosts. We highly recommend this experience!
Jenni and and her husband bring joy to the world!! do not hesitate, sign up. Normally, I don’t sign up for activities during travel, but since we were with a teen, we have a shot, and it turned out to be a huge hit with all three of us. Really fun!! We were the only guests that evening. Jenni is an elegant hostess. her house and kitchen are lovely, not to mention immaculate. I love that we were not rushed, we were treated like old friends at a dinner party. We had nice wine, hors d'oeuvres, and conversation. then we got started on the cooking. Jenni was was well prepared and an excellent teacher. Jenni’s husband was an assistant, photographer and also answered our many questions. Once the food was ready, we sat down at the table which was elegantly dressed and enjoyed the fruits of our labor. I must add that we made requests according to dietary needs and they were taken seriously and the menu adjusted easily and without any issues. We really appreciated that. Overall, this was a highlight of our trip and one of the best meals we had the whole week. It changes your conception of a city when you meet real peole, not just running from museum to monument, but taking the time to break bread with locals and learn about real city. We loved it! Thank you Jenni, your work brings humans together.
They canceled last min and there was no alternative found. This is not really a negative against the experience. We just never got the chance to go. This was one thing we really wanted to experience in out time in Italy. Also, we still have not gotten an email regarding refund. We should have received an email immediately about getting her money back. Overall, not our best experience through Viator.
This was the highlight of our Italian adventure. Sara & Alessio were so welcoming, we learnt so much from them. The whole experience was great and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this experience, it was a fantastic day made perfect by our wonderful hosts. Thank you Sara & Alessio!
Wonderful evening with good food and generous wine. We learned a great deal from our hosts about pasta making and can’t wait to try it on our own. The most enjoyable part was getting to know our hosts Sara and Alessio. Highly recommend.
This was a very positive experience for our 16 year old son. We are trying to prepare him for Uni and we thought learning some basic Italian cooking skills would be helpful. The hostess was very friendly and engaging, he came back full of enthusiasm.
Matteo was so welcoming and we had a great time! He talked us through how his grandmother made pasta and we learned a lot. :)
The cooking class with Jenni & her husband was one of the highlights of our two week trip through Switzerland & Northern Italy. They were so gracious and their home was beautiful & charming. They put extra effort into the surroundings with family heirlooms of linen table clothes/napkins and china. Surrounded by beautiful things, we were taught to make home made pasta dishes and tiramisu- all of which turned out beautifully and tasted wonderful. The presentation of not just the surroundings but of the food made us feel so special. I have forwarded information about these classes to friends who will be traveling to Italy this summer. Lots of laughter & learning
Cesarine cancelled two classes. Firstly Iva who I had picked was apparently sick for the 9/6 but they did suggest an alternative. Unfortunately I didn’t get back to them due to circumstances and they assigned Sara who I couldn’t find anything about and was surprised they didn’t get in contact first. So I said no. This isn’t ok. When I had time, I booked for the 10th and received a confirmation email from Alice with the name of address of Matheo. Within 10 minutes, it was cancelled again! Matheo is also sick.
Iva was wonderful! It was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Italy. Her home was lovely and the food was delicious. My husband and I were with our 4 adult kids and 1yr old grandson. She and her husband were fun and welcoming to all.
Alberto and his wife were such gracious hosts! They knew how to make the small group, who did not know one another prior to meeting, feel comfortable with one another. As he coached us through the skills, Alberto explained not only what to do, but also what was happening within the ingredients and why the techniques he recommended were important. This prompted great conversation among the group, a truly international mix, about our own family favorites. In the time, we ended up with a variety of pastas and ways to flavor them, as well as a delicious dessert. Eating what we made Italian family style was the perfect finish!
We had a wonderful time learning to cook and eating the dishes. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an experience that they'll remember while in Italy. I recommend seeking out Eugenia specifically. She and her husband were a pleasure and made the experience something we will remember forever.
My boyfriend and I were traveling to Italy for the first time and really wanted to take a pasta making class. They were both so friendly, warm and welcoming. Not only did they make their best efforts to translate everything to English so we could understand, but they prepared homemade snacks and offered us aperitivo drinks as well. Their home was beautiful, and they spent time getting to know us and took lots of photos and videos! I'll definitely be recommending them to anyone I know that goes to Turin.
Our host, Benedetta, was fabulous! We had a wonderful time meeting her and her family. We learned a lot about Italian cooking and it was so much fun. A wonderful meal!
My grandmother and I had the most amazing time with Eugenia at her home in Turin, Italy. Eugenia, her husband, and her assistant/translator Arianna welcomed us with open arms and taught us to cook two types of pasta and Tiramisu. It was wonderful! Not only was it a culinary experience, but a heart-filling evening of conversation and laughter. Their apartment is conveniently located on the first floor, so there's easy access, and the space is absolutely perfect. They played soft music, everything was clean and ready for us upon our arrival, and they were perfect, experienced hosts. It is clear that Eugenia puts her heart and soul into each experience, and we cannot be more happy that we chose her cooking class for our first night in Turin. We highly recommend this experience!
Rosanna and Giacomo were the perfect hosts: Gracious, very welcoming and excellent guides. A well crafted and delicious menu executed in a warm and homely environment. Great fun!
By far the highlight of our trip. Rosanna and Giacomo were the perfect hosts from the minute we set foot in their charming home. Very well crafted menu and had great fun making, and eventually savouring, the pasta, dessert and appetizers in a warm and welcoming family setting. Highly recommended
An amazing experience. Couldnt recommend it enough. Rosanna and her translator Marianna were lovely and taught us how to cook some delicious Italian dishes. 10/10
We loved our time! We learned some lovely pasta dishes and tiramisu. We chatted and laughed and it was just brilliant. Thank you so much Iva!
Sis & I had a lovely evening in the welcoming home of Benedetta and her family. We were joined by another young lady. Twas great craic learning to make pasta and tiramisu ( Benedetta is a champion tiramisu maker and I’m now a convert as previously hated it but hers was wonderful)! The meal afterwards was one of the best i’ve had in Italy- lots of antipasti and then our two pastas ( ravioli and tagliatelle) as well as the tiramisu. All washed down with some lovely local red vino. We then played UNO and Sis sang an Irish song to round off the evening. Benedetta walked us to the bus stop to make sure we got home safely ( we had gotten a cab from Porto Nuevo). Highly recommend this experience.
We took our two grandsons, ages 11 and 12, to Torino for 5 days, and our last stop was at Jenny’s house for a cooking class. It was a perfect end to a perfect trip. Jenny’s house is a reflection of her: inviting, warm and charming. Neither boy had ever spent anytime in a kitchen, so just cracking an egg into the flour for the pasta was an experience. Jenny was kind and patient with the boys, and they learned how to make chocolate and coffee tiramisu, ravioli and gnocchis. At the end, we sat down for lunch with Jenny’s husband, Mauro, and I can say that Italian hospitality is the BEST.
I thoroughly enjoyed my morning with Eugenia and her husband at their home. There were just 3 of us learning to make the pasta and gnocchi, which was nice. And the results were delicious! I almost took off one star because we did not make the tiramisu; our hostess had prepared it ahead of time. Ravioli, tortellini, and gnocchi take a lot of time and I'm not sure we would have had time to put together the dessert. Viator may want to revise their description, however.
This was an amazing experience, that made our time in Torino! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that we went far past the the time expected (estimated at 3 hours, we left after 5.5). To be fair, the translator did ask us if we had plans after, which we didn’t, but we weren’t expecting to be there until 22:30. Second, the listing indicates that someone will reach out to help plan the menu, and that never happened. The food cooked really was amazing, however two of the four members of our group did not eat Ricotta, and one of the pasta dishes was Ricotta filled. These really are two small critiques, as we learned so much and had such a wonderful time. I can’t wait to receive the recipes so we can share them with our friends and family! 100% would recommend to anyone remotely interested!!
This was such an amazing evening making new friends and learning to make pasta, focaccia and tiramisu. Rosanna and her friend were warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. It was 5 hours well spent learning a lot, drinking wine and eating great food!
My goal in visiting Italy was to "immerse" myself in the culture....this excursion met all of my expectations and well beyond. Rosanna and Raffaele were cordial, inviting, engaging. We talked, shared stories, laughed, and ate! We made everything from light appertifs to the Tiramisu and everything in between. I can't speak highly enough of this experience that I will never forget. If you plan on visiting Torino, do not pass this up. I will miss my new friends Rosanna and Raffaele. I will say arrivederci, but certainly not goodbye. James Massachusetts, USA
Rosanna and Rafael were amazing hosts! We were served a generous amount of wine, appetizers, main courses, and tiramisu dessert we made. The homemade pasta we learned to make was fantastic! This cooking class and dinner was one of the best experiences we had on our vacation in Italy. The conversation was great and It was like spending an evening with good friends and helping them with the cooking.
We had a fantastic experience at Alberto M! Very friendly and offered snacks, aperitif etc during the cooking session. We felt welcome immediately and Alberto and his lovely wife took good care of us. Really great pasta and Tiramisu. We highly recommend visiting Alberto and learn the Italian cooking.
We had such a nice evening learning how to make pasta and tiramisu with Benedetta! She is a great host and teacher and showed us how to make our very first homemade pasta. We really enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it!
We had a fantastic time learning to make Pasta and Tiramisu with Benedetta. We were a family group of 11 and everyone enjoyed the experience. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. This was one of our best experiences of our holiday.
I can’t rate the cooking class, since the host did not have my reservation although I received the confirmation, hosting contact and address via email. I spent 1 1/2 hours to get to her neighborhood (via public transportation from my hotel in city center, and walk), then called Francesca and found out that she did not have my reservation. When I asked her to cancel/refund for the class, she told me that since there’s no reservation, no fee was charge to my credit card. However, since I’m back from my trip, contacted credit card company and found out that it was charged to my card. Not only that I was very disappointed I couldn’t attend the class, but wasted my valuable vacation time looking for the place and realized that she didn’t have my reservation. What a shame! I could have plan for something else that morning instead. And I now need to spend time disputing the charges.
Raffaele and Rosanna graciously welcomed us into their home as strangers. We all left feeling a part of their family. Raffaele made us comfortable sharing his life adventures and passions while Rosanna prepared the workstations upon which each of us cooked. Rosanna divided the recipes for the two pastas and tiramisu into easy to understand and replicable steps. The expertise, professionalism, and camaraderie shown by our hosts made for an absolutely enjoyable day! Delicious food, wine, fellowship, and laughter were all in abundant supply! Consigliamo vivamente questa classe. Abbiamo apprezzato l'esperienza!
