Our guide and driver were great, the ruins were great, but the logistics were done poorly and the webpage is inaccurate in some ways that people will want to consider. The page I booked from lists this as a 2 hour tour that starts at 9:00 am. I assumed 2 hours was not correct, so no big deal. I received a message from the tour operator to be ready for pick up at 7:20. We were dropped back off at our hotel at 12:45. And we wer3 actually picked up last and dropped off first. So I guess what I'm saying is this is: understand this is a half day activity and be ready to be patient throughout the day. Like I said, guides were knowledgeable and fun to chat with (Nestor and Adal) and the ruins were incredible. They provided water and a snack too which was great

Absolutely amazing tour. Everything went smoothly, from pick-up to drop-off. Our tour guide, David, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend this tour. The views from Tulum were breathtaking.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful! It was a fun way to see the ruins and spend the morning. Highly recommend a tour with Gato (Mario) and Carlos P.
A brilliant tour and well worth a visit. However it was made a brilliant tour by our guide, Ana, whose enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism was a huge part of the day. She was happy to answer all and any questions and went into great depth on all the details regarding Tulum and Mayan history. Very well organised and run. Pick up and drop off was seamless, with our driver also being professional and on hand throughout. There were so many options presented by our hotel desk. An added bonus if you get Ana for your day.
This trip was excellent value for money. Benji the driver was great. We were offered water and snacks on the minibus. Gato our guide was super knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting facts delivered with humour to keep things light and interesting. Thank you both for making our trip unforgettable.
Highly knowlegable guide. Very accomodating. Plenty of facts shared. Would highly recommend to friends Had a wonderful day.
Be ready for the heat and the mosquitoes. The tour is interesting but there’s more travel time than tour if you’re travelling from Cancun.
Really had a great tour of Tulum with Jano. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and made it a great experience and we got to spend enough time to see the entire area.
A wonderful time, even in the humidity! Gato was very knowledgeable and it was fun to learn from him. The admission fee was fair for a half-day tour. The atmosphere was great; we had several other travelers from our country to talk to! The crowd was kind of large. We had to keep sidestepping other tour groups and it was hard to take pictures. To finalize, Gato was great and we had an awesome time!
Ana was amazing she was full of energy and made this experience so much better than expected she is so knowledgeable!
The climate is extremely important when participating in this excursion. Heat exhaustion is possible.
We had a great day trip to Tulum. The small 14 passenger van picked us up on time. The trip to Tulum including a few more hotel pick ups took about two hours. There was a midway stop at Adventures Cancun office where we could use the bathroom. The van had a cooler with water and snacks for us. We also picked up our tour guide Myriam there who was lovely. She was very informative on our tour of Tulum and was happy to answer any question the tour of Tulum took about one hour. I would highly recommend borrowing or bringing an umbrella. Single use plastic water bottles are not allowed in Tulum so bring a reusable, refillable bottle or you can buy one at the market there. It was very very very hot which was expected. We had some free time after the tour, which was nice. There are many shops, including coffee, ice cream, café, and a Subway right at the entrance of Tulum. Everyone wants to sell you something which is to be expected, but everyone is very nice and respectful. When we loaded back on the van they had cold bottles of water and a cold towel waiting for each of us, which was so thoughtful! We dropped Myriam off back at the office and everyone was dropped off at their respective hotels. We left at 7 AM and got back at 2 PM. Highly recommend this excursion!
We had such an amazing time with our tour guide, Ana! She was so knowledgeable of both the history and present-day conditions, and what Mayans believe and why. It was so much fun too!
Anna was our tour guide. She was very patient with our whole group and accommodating for people with handicap, as well as when someone was feeling ill. And ensured everyone was included. She was also very knowledgeable. The ruins were phenomenal to experience
Anna was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Mexico. If you can request her for your Tulum tour (or any tour), DO IT! She even kept our 15 year old son engaged. Quickly, we weren't just Anna’s tour group, we were “la familia de Anna.” Her warmth felt completely genuine and her enthusiasm was contagious At Tulum she made the ruins feel human and we really could picture the people who had lived there, with families, homes, work, trade and beliefs. And her classroom wasn’t just the tour itself, lessons began during the ride to the ruins and continued on the way home. We cannot recommend Anna highly enough.
Bring water and umbrella and be sure to nourish before setting off for the ruins. A lot of walking and uneven steps.
Great experience. Our guide, Anna, was knowledgeable, thoughtful, professional and fun!
Learning about and seeing Tulum historical site was interesting and learning about the history from Anna our tour guide was next level. She truly made the experience. I wanted my “kids” (17 & 22) to experience this and learn something about Mayan culture and history and this trip did that.
Overall, it was an excellent experience and tour. The guide Jano was excellent and presented the site and information well. Also gave lots of information overall on the region and even Mexico as a whole to occupy the driving time. It is a "shorter tour," say only 1.5-2 hours at the site, but given the climate (hot) and site it was enough time and only did take a total of say 3-4 hours providing enough time to do other things during the same day if you choose.
Jano our guide was super sweet and knowledgeable and Ruben our driver was awesome, he had cool towels, snacks, drinks, it was a pleasure to go with them. They gave us umbrellas so that the sun would not beat down on us so hard. The place is beautiful. Short and sweet.
This was incredible! Ana was absolutely brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable and an absolute sweetheart. She knew the history, culture and helped us have a reverence and respect for the temples. If she is your tour guide you will have the best time ever. Be prepared to learn a lot. Make sure to bring cameras, and anything you need to stay cool in the heat of the sun. Ana and the bus driver Javier made sure we were taken care of with water and umbrellas. Both were so friendly and kind. Do this tour!
Lalo and Sexy Javi were the best guides. The knowledge Lalo possessed was amazing. They made the tour very enjoyable. It is HOT!!! So be ready for that.
Really interesting archeology Mayan site. Very different from chichen itza with more commerce and religion culture. Glad we did it in the morning, it got hot and humid. Guide Corey was very passionate and patient.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Tulum! Our bus trip from the resort gave time for everyone to get to know each other. We actually had a “July birthday bus”, loads of fun! Our guide, Anna (banana) was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Upon arrival, we were provided umbrellas for sun protection. It was very hot and this is a walking tour. We were guided to the store for restrooms and purchase of refillable water bottles. Our guide walked us through the ruins and explained everything in great detail. She is fantastic and provides great answers to all questions. There are a couple of covered areas for breaks and she gave additional information about the Mayans. Her explanation of the cenotes was very thorough and interesting! Beautiful views of the sea from cliff side. We highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Anna!!
Guide was great and transportation was right on time.
Overall a great experience. Our tour guide Mario was very knowledgeable about Tulum’s history and he was very personable as well. The price for the half day was fair and honestly with how humid it was I’m glad we didn’t go for the full day Tulum trip. The group was 14 people so it was smaller than the normal buses of tourists. My only gripe with the experience was that our driver was a bit rough and left me feeling very carsick. Overall I did have an enjoyable experience and the tour captured the full Tulum atmosphere.
Our tour was fantastic! Anna, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and so much fun. She elevated the tour to a new level. The driver, Alejandro, was great and we appreciate the safe and smooth journey. We highly recommend Anna and Alejandro!
Part of the challenge is the pickup process in Cancun - expect 1.5 - 2 hours just to pick up other guests. It didn't help that one of our pickups was nearly 15 minutes late and another group reserved 2 spots but turned up with 4 people. That caused us to have to change vans which added to the time. Not the fault of the company or guide - I just wish other people were more respectful of the process. Our tour guide Mika (sp) was very knowledgeable and informative. The site was extremely interesting to see. Thankfully we were provided umbrellas which helped with the 95+ degree heat and sun. Be prepared to pay the $35/per person for the entry fee that is not included in the cost of the tour.
Very good experience and a good length of day. We were picked up first so had to stop by the other hotels but this was quick and easy. The van was nicely air-conditioned which was pleasant and we were offered water and snacks along the way. Our driver (Erik) was very good and we felt nice and relaxed throughout the journey. We stopped briefly to collect the guide but this allowed us to go to the bathroom and freshen up as the journey is around 2 hours. When we got there we needed to dispose (or leave in the van) any single use plastics. This would have been good to know before travel however you can buy reusable water bottles in the shop when you go in for just $5 and they will fill it with filtered water for you. The experience around Tulum was really good, although very very hot. We were given umbrellas but I did also bring a portable fan which came in helpful. The guide Erika was very knowledgeable and fluent in English. She was also very good at finding shaded spots to stand whilst she gave us the tour. At the end of the tour (around 90 mins) we were given 30 mins of free time to explore the ruins ourselves and take some photos. We also found this a good opportunity to grab an ice cream and take in the scenery. When we got back on the van, we were given fresh cold water bottles and snacks and also a cool towel to put on our face or neck to help cool us down. This was a really lovely touch and a nice surprise as was not aware this was included. On the way back we stopped to drop off the guide and then continued to Cancun where we were dropped off around 2pm, just in time for lunch and the rest of the day enjoying the beach! A very good experience, would recommend.
Wonderful tour that provided a lot of great historical information. Our guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell he was passionate about its history.
Interesting Mayan historical site next to the ocean. Unfortunately you can’t walk on the ruins or go up the steps. It’s very hot in the summer months so bring water (plastic bottles not allowed)
We had the most amazing time with Gato! He’s incredibly smart and full of humor, keeping everyone entertained. His cleverness and playful personality made the day unforgettable, and we couldn’t stop smiling the entire time.
Trip took a couple of hours, and our family enjoyed it. They picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel. Ana was an excellent guide and gave a focused and informative tour. Adrian did a great job transporting us!
Pickup was easy and on time, our driver Carlos made us feel safe and accommodated. The tour itself was great, Janos, our tour guide, was extremely intelligent and informative and we made great conversation with him before, during and after the tour. The ruins were absolutely amazing, we only wish we could’ve seen them at their peak. There was tons of beautiful flora and fauna including dozens of iguanas, we even saw a beautiful snake near the path! An excellent experience, highly recommended.
Ana and Pepe was great tour was fun and informative would recommend.
Enjoyed the ruins and Cancun adventures. Loved hazel and his wonderful and vivacious narrative. Thanks for being the ruins to life and adding more meaning.
Experience was fine andnguide, Lalo, was great. However, advertising said the Admission was included. Beware! There's an additional $35 admission fee they don't tell you about until the day before the tour.
A nice half day tour to see the historic place. Guide and driver were excellent. Small snacks and bananas and water provided. Be hydrated, it is quite warm walking around!
Damian was a fund and interesting guide!
The transportation was on time, well air conditioned and relatively comfortable,. The guide and driver were extremely courteous and took great cars of our group of 12. The guide, Cory, was terrific! It was an exceptionally hot day, and made every effort to help us get through it. Highly recommend!
We only did the quick Tulum tour which was a couple hours but with pickups with other gas at Resort it took closer to 4hts but lots of fun. Lalo and Nes were great to go with. My wife and I learned so much about culture of the Mayans. I would highly recommend anybody that takes us to her request these two.
Miryam was fabulous tour guide. Very knowledgeable
There is an additional charge that they claim is for tax money but it’s collected by the tour operator not an official government worker. Seems like a scam to get more money for the operator.
I made reservation for Tulum at 9 am, they never pick us up, we requested refund, but they refused to return my money back, I am not recommended use this company.
Very informative tour. Just right timing wise, if you want to get back to resort asap. Free water, snack bar and cool towel to freshen hands all a lovely touch.
Tour was good, but very quick. Be prepared to spend most of the time picking up / dropping off at hotels
We had a great time. Arun was our guide, very knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had fun. Nancy was our driver and she made sure we got there and back on time. If you want a stress free trip to Tulum I highly recommend going with Cancun Adventures. You have a knowledgeable guide, and an experienced driver.
Wonderful experience! Our guide Gato was the very best!
5 Stars!!! Tour guide Anna was the best. Very knowledgeable and kept the group engaged. I will definitely book more tours through Cancun adventures.
Great half-day tour of Tulum ruins. Pick up and drop off from hotel made things easy and water/snack provided. Our tour guide, Ana, was excellent and made it a great experience with her enthusiasm.
