Tulum Private Transportation From-to Cancun Airport

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Did not show up. They sent a whatsapp msg saying my flight had landed, I message them back saying I had landed. Went outside and no one was there, waited for a hour, called and messaged all numbers and had no answer. Will have to deal with my bank for refund.

They were easy to communicate with and very reliable. Our private transfer was smooth and comfortable, with great prices and friendly service. We felt well taken care of from start to finish and would definitely use them again the next time we're in the area.

BEWARE!!!!! Staff at the airport try selling extra insurance and fuel. The cars have extensive scratches and the bumper on our car kept falling off where I had to reinstall it several times a day. The car interior was filthy with dirt and stains and had a foul odor. I looked at other cars on the lot. all the same. When we returned the car, the same staff tried saying that we smoked in the car and they will charge for cleaning. My wife and I are non smokers. I received an email receipt for double the amount of my reservation.

Our driver was early and waited for a couple stragglers without any issues. He drove us promptly to the airport and helped us with our luggage. Smooth and safe driving.

We booked this transfer from the Cancun airport to tulum. The day of, they communicated very well and gave us a meeting place in the airport where pretty much all the transfers picked up. However, once we got to the meeting place, whoever we were messaging with stopped responding to our messages. After about 15 minutes of waiting for a response from our driver and not seeing anybody, we went over to the E-transfers storefront that they had. There was one other group had this same situation happen to them. After showing the person working there our booking ID (which is different from the booking ID on Viator), we waited about 30 minutes before they directed us to a taxi cab. Once at the cab, they needed to take photos of my passport, which is something I wasn’t fully expecting and was off putting given the situation. After doing so, we finally headed out from the airport. Our driver was very nice and got us there safe and sound. However, I was on very high alert given the situation that we were in.

Scheduled these guys for my girlfriend as she had an overnight/redeye flight and I knew she would be exhausted on arrival... they happily charged the $160 for a private taxi and took the flight details and then... DIDN'T SHOW UP! AT ALL. She had to make several calls to track them down and it took them over an 1/2 hour to arrive once she got ahold of them.

Sweet driver stopped at grocery on our way to Tulum so we could pick up waters and snacks. Safe trip!

OMG, I wish I'd read the reviews on here before making this booking, but I didn't because the company had come recommended by the Hilton (won't be believing them again either). Same as a number of reviews below, I travelled with my 78 year old father on Christmas day, and had booked a private transfer to Tulum (2 hour journey) in advance (to avoid trying to sort out a transfer at the airport). Before travelling, everything seemed professional with emails and whattsapp communication to confirm bookings (obviously automated). Turn up at the airport after a long journey from the UK, find the representative who pretty much says the transfer must be cancelled (as if it was normal) (at which point I hadn't received any notifications). Wifi was rubbish to connect to whattsapp and the only good thing the representative did was put me in touch with customer services (at which point I also received the cancellation notice saying "... due to the high season, we regret to inform you that we are unable to operate your service..."), was high season a surprise that they had to cancel? Yes they did provide a refund, but knowing full well that the only option at that time was paying double the price to a taxi company (surprising called etransfers taxis (there were others two, but all seemed to be operating together anyway), that we had to wait two hours for which took a private transfer fee but ended up being a shared transfer (which at midnight was pointless arguing with anyone). So its all just a scam, as my brother experienced the same with another transfer company.

SCAM- AVOID IF POSSIBLE We pre-booked and paid for a private shuttle from Cancun airport to Tulum on our honeymoon. We found the agent easily. She had trouble finding our booking which took 20 mins and then she informed us there were no cars because of traffic and we had to wait 20 more mins. The agent was very nice but after a couple more conversations and an hour and a half we were getting concerned. There were now 3 parties there that all had booked private shuttles. We were asked if we would share and accepted based on having our private booking price refunded. She provided a WhatsApp number for refunds. The number has not offered a refund and said they will be charging us full private shuttle price (over $150 USD). DO NOT PREBOOK A PRIVATE SHUTTLE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE IT

Viator was great picking us up and taking us to our destination in Mexico. Unfortunately we had a death in the family the second Day we were there and had to fly back early and took a cab to the airport. Viator refunded our unused portion. This goes to show what a ethical and truly good company they are. Thank you and I we will be using your services again.

Prompt and friendly service from Cancun airport to our hotel in Tulum. I'd highly recommend for those that are happy to spend a little more on a private transfer direct to a hotel after a long flight.

Waited over an hour at airport after checking in for a driver. They take people who don’t have reservations at an increased price before getting to people who booked in advance. It was cheaper but it depends on what your time is worth to you. Had I known I would have likely paid the $50 or so usd to get an immediate ride.

Great experience. They have a team of people at the cancun airport to help with check-in. Plenty of emails before pickup at the airport and the hotel. Our transfer down to and from Tulum was on schedule, drivers were friendly, and we had no issues! Would use them again next time we are in Yucatan.

The only positive was the driver Christian. They were not waiting at airport when we arrived had to wait 15 minutes. The van was filthy dirty inside and out. Already booked round trip and paid otherwise I would cancel departure pick-up.

Was told they would charge $80 US to go to Playa Del Carmen from the airport. Instead they charged us $100US. They told us it was going to be a 10 or 15 min wait. Instead we are standing here an hour later getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are liars.

I booked with this same company 2 years ago when I visited Tulum. Absolutely easy and smooth process both teams. I’ve booked multiple services through Viator and this company has had the best communication so far. Have to navigate your way from a long flight into a lively city almost 2 hours away can be stressful especially with the way they drive down here and all the construction. This company makes the transition smooth and seamless. They can even make a pit stop at a convenience store so you can get snacks and water. They even make sure to stop somewhere with an ATM so you can exchange currency which is very important because they exchange rate is way better in town than in the airport as we all know. I will definitely book with them again for my 3rd visit!

Really good service, the driver even stopped when I had to use the restroom! We also left a jacket and the driver was kind enough to take us to the office and grab it!

This is a scam. They will sell you a private transfer to your resort and it is not. They told us this story about not having enough vans, we could ride with other people, or we would have to wait longer. So, we agreed to ride with another group. However the other group didn’t agree. So what did they do? They took the other group that wasn’t willing to share and took Them to resort. And made us wait Anyways. Afterwards, there were two Other couples that arrived after us that were whisked away in vans- and continued to make us wait Until another group agreed to Ride with us. The other couple to join our friend group of 4 also paid for a private transport. We would up waiting 40 min for Our transfer. We had already been traveling since 3am and just wanted to get to our resort.

It’s a scam. Their confirmation says they always have a rep at the airport. We arrived on time and they had loaded because it was slow. I called them and they said they didn’t have any drivers.

Great experience to and from airport. They were on time each route and got us to our hotel and back to airport safely.

The local company did not have my reservation so we had to wait for over an hour while they tried to locate our reservation and find us a driver.

Our driver was extremely rude and confined to laugh at us when we tried to help him by responding in Spanish. He laughed at us multiple times and it was an overall very uncomfortable experience.

Victor airport pick up service from Cancon to Tulum with etransfer was great and the crew were very friendly and polite. I would recommend their services to everyone who need airport pick up and transfer to Tulum.

Fantastic experience with this company. Driver was early, helpful and courteous. He provided assistance with loaded and unloading luggage. There were complimentary waters provided as well. Would book again hands down.

We had a very smooth pickup from the airport to our airbnb in Tulum! On the return trip, I think there was a mixup since the driver was only expecting 4 of us even though I'd edited my trip to have 6 people. However, we made it to the airport smoothly. The vans were a bit dirty and musty.

They were On time, and hospitality was awesome! The company I used before them were terrible, would definitely and will definitely use them every time I’m in Mexico

We waited at the airport for over an hour after collecting our bags (which also took the better part of an hour to come out) and had trouble getting information on what the status of our ride was. We followed the instructions and asked at the kiosk at least 2 times about what was going on and they just kept telling us to wait. We provided our flight information when booking so that our flight could be tracked so that the ride would be there when we got to the airport but it seems we were forgotten about so they had to figure it out once we were waiting outside. Had to download Whatsapp to communicate with them which was not efficient ad we did not receive any updates about the delay until we asked to which we were told there is traffic. Because we were driving 2 hours from the airport, I did not feel comfortable catching a cab otherwise I would have bailed after the first hour of waiting. Back end was fine but overall this service was lacking in preparedness and communication when delays arose.

Company was great picking my family and I up from the airport. We had some challenges with the driver that drove us back to the airport to depart. Overall company was good.

We had to wait about 25 min to start driving. However, the overall experience was great and I recommend using this service.

Instead of a private shuttle, we had to share with 3 drunk Brits, and another couple. Total rip off.

After booking private transport from Cancun to Tulum, we were sent a confirmation saying that someone would be waiting for us at the airport to take us to the hotel. Our flight was delayed, so we kept them informed from before we took off and then let them know when we landed, as they requested. It was around midnight when we got out of customs. No one was waiting for us and they soon stopped responding to our texts. We ended up waiting 40 minutes alone outside of the airport, not knowing what was going on. Eventually, someone responded saying that we only purchase an “economy” product, so we should expect to wait 30 mins to over an hour. Nothing in our purchase indicated this and it was only about $10 cheaper than the private transport our hotel would have arranged. Even if we did purchase such a product (which we would never willingly choose to wait over an hour for transport late at night), this is horrible customer service. Eventually, around 1am someone arrived and put us in a shuttle with other people, despite our purchase of private transportation.

Waiting 45 minutes for our prearranged transport from Cancun airport is what we remember after a long travel day. Not a "good" memory. But otherwise the ride was comfortable and our driver, Mauricio, was very helpful and friendly.

The service that was provided was nothing like what was promised. i paid in advance for a private car and ended up sharing a ride with two other families. The driver had none of the relevant information and ended up picking me up more than an hour late. the driver also had no knowledge of the area we were going to and relied on me to navigate in a place we’ve never been before. This was almost a disaster.

The driver told us to meet them at a certain location. When we got there, there was no one to meet us. I approached the counter and then had to wait about 15 min for someone to get us. Then, i had to help gps to tulum, sven though i sent them the address before hand. The driver was good and got us there fast but for something so expensive, it should have been more professional.

e-Transfer was excellent. I had to go from Cancun Airport to Tulum and I made an error on my on-line booking. They worked with me to correct it in the most courteous manner. I had a very early return flight and they were picking me up in Tulum at 4 am on the dot and got me back to the airport with enough time. The drivers were safe and respectful. I wholeheartedly recommend their service.

We used Etransfers for our roundtrip tickets from the airport to Tulum. They were very helpful in getting us to our destination safely. Even though we were an hour early for our ride, they were able to accommodate us. Make sure that once you get off the plane, you head directly outside where they are waiting. Other vendors will try to stop you to try and get you to sign up for excursions and timeshares. Don't do it! Just head on outside. We will definitely use them again on our next trip

This transportation was great. They ask for your ID to confirm your identity. Easy coordination and communication with the Agency was quick.

This actually happened in May 2021. I realized I didn't do a review when I was looking at my TA 'Trips' to rebook with eTransfers again. Previously, we were returning home from UNICO resort and our van was late. Then I realized that when I booked it months earlier it was for the next day. I called them with the UNICO concierge in a panic that we were going to miss our flight or pay $100's for a taxi, that may still be late, if they couldn't help with my screw up. They diverted a van from another pickup that had plenty of time and had us headed to Cancun Airport within 15 minutes for the 1 hour plus drive. Got there just in time and they saved the day. Thanks for making our mistake your problem.

Best AC we had in Mexico. Pick up was early. He got us there safe and fast. He was on his phone a bit which kinda made us nervous.

It was a hassle free private ride! They were easy to find and accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Cancun.

Booked a round trip. Vehicle did not have a radio. Van is very loud inside. Driver was falling asleep, constant swerving and stop/go gave us motion sickness. Will NOT be taking the shuttle back to the airport.

The driver started off normal then for some reason changed his phone screen to a picture of his penis after stoping go use the bathroom, then showed one of the girls! Then he proceeded to show us a GALLERY of his penis pictures on his phone WHILE DRIVING! Then he slowed down the car and was going 20 miles per hour and driving on the side lane cause he wanted to TAKE HIS DICK OUT AND SHOW US! After we screamed and yelled for him to focus on the road he did but was rubbing his penis the rest of the way. This was a horrible traumatizing experience we contacted viator right away and sent them the videos of what this man was doing and they refunded us but still I can’t believe this happened I will never get this man’s penis out of my head he had over 40 dick pictures some with him ejaculating we were so scared this man was going to do something to us.
