Tulum Private Tour: Mayan Ruins, Cenote And Native Guide

We had a private tour to Chichén Itzá, Cenote Oxman and Valladolid. Our driver Alexander was very friendly. He gave us some basic information and helped with communication at the entrances and cash desks. He also brought us to a very good restaurant outside of Valladolid where we had one of the best meals of our trip.

Our transportation was provided by Juan, who arrived early and was incredibly accommodating. He was simply the best and helped make our day so enjoyable! Our Mayan Ruins tour was led by Adrian, and we walked away with a wealth of knowledge, and a great experience. I recommend them both if you ever visit Tulum.

Alex was an awesome tour guide! He was prompt and friendly. The van was nice and clean. He took us on a tour of two cenotes and to a local lunch spot which was amazing! He guided us through the whole cave cenote which was an amazing experience, even taking great pictures of our group throughout the tour. He was the best!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Alex this week. We toured the Tulum ruins and 2 separate cenotes. We also had a great lunch in downtown Tulum based on Alex's recommendation. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and enjoyable to be around. He genuinely cares about his guests' experience and has a passion for showing and educating others about Tulum and Mexico. The best decision we made on our trip was to book this tour with Alex. My entire group agreed that was the highlight of our trip. Alex is incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the region. He really made our trip and was generous enough to drive us to and wait for us as we ordered lunch afterward. The private experience with Alex is an absolute must. So much better than the free entry cenotes where there a tons of tourists and no guide. We got a private swimming excursion of the cenotes, areas you cannot enter without a guide. We even led a meditation inside the cave which alex helped lead us in. It was so magical. 10/10 recommend to all. Biggest plus, he is the best photographer and knows all the angles :)

This was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience. It completely blew us away. From the incredibly insightful and detailed tour of las ruinas de Tulum to the truly MIND BLOWING Cenote dive, we could not have had a better experience. We knew we would swim in a cool cenote but we had no idea we would be diving so deep into such a spectacular underground cave system. Our guides made us feel safe and comfortable at every step of the way, and we wish it had never ended. 10/10 cannot recommend enough.

Lalo was the best driver. He was safe, friendly and efficient. We booked him to drive 2 of us from Talum to Chichen Itzá, Valladolid and back to our hotel in Talum. It was such a relaxing and easy way to travel. I personally don’t enjoy big tour buses and being on someone else’s schedule so the private car worked perfectly for us. This cenote experience with Alex was amazing. My partner Johnny and I did a private tour together, and it was truly unforgettable. Alex took us to the Sac’ Actun cenote cave and shared so much knowledge about the cave and its history, which made the experience even more special. This was a wonderful half-day experience! Our guide, Simon, was so nice. He helped us find some good coffee and food in addition to the tour, and when we went to the cenote it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful - we were the only ones there that morning! I would definitely recommend this tour.

This tour is worth every penny. We arrived at the ruins before the crowds arrive and got a tour from a local expert. After we were done there, Alejandro drove us to the Cenotes Sac Actún. Alejandro was an excellent tour guide who gave us a personalized tour to one of the coolest cenotes in the Tulum area. He was communicative throughout and helpful with every question we had. In this tour, you get your life jacket and optional wetsuit and jump right into the cenote, with Alejandro guiding you through the caverns shifting between stalactites and stalagmites. We wore sneakers to walk around the ruins and then felt totally comfortable barefoot at the cenote. Just don't forget to bring your towels!

My best friend and I were in Tulum for a wedding, and we had a somewhat limited amount of time to go out and explore. This tour was perfect for us, and Alex is the BEST! We were able to get picked up from our hotel which was really helpful. It was nice to be able to visit the ruins and a cenote together in one tour, but without feeling rushed at all! Seriously, if you're considering a tour in the area, this is the one. Alex was friendly, knowledgeable, and got so many photos and videos of us in the cenote (we had to leave our phones behind). The beers/sodas for the drive were also a really nice touch!

The tour was wonderful !! Adrian was so friendly and so knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins. The driver Jeremias was always prompt and provided us with beverages after each excursion. Alex was so funny and made us very comfortable swimming in a deep dark but beautiful cave. We visited the Sac Actun cenote with Alex, and I can honestly say it was not only the most beautiful cenote I've ever seen, but possibly the most stunning place in my life as well. Our guide, Alex, made the entire visit effortless and stress-free. He took care of absolutely everything – we didn’t have to worry about a single detail. All we had to do was live in the moment and enjoy the magic around us. He also took amazing photos and videos of us, which captured the experience perfectly. I have to thank the people at Cabanas Tulum Hotel for introducing me to Alex in Tulum. The hotel is wonderful but the sargassum limits the use of the beach. I had a fantastic day with Simon, from Alex in Tulum. We went early to an amazing cave cenote. Simon was a fantastic and informed tour guide and just great company. We had the entire place to ourselves, except for a quiet group of expert divers who were making a film. We snorkeled. It's easy, beautiful, and refreshing. Another day, I decided on an impulse to go snorkeling in Cozumel. Alex drove me from Tulum to Playa del Carmen for the ferry. There's no seaweed on the ferry side of Cozumel. I had a great day at Bar Money - a beach club with lockers. I went as a solo traveller and it was all easy and safe. Alex picked me up for the return trip to Tulum. Alex is great company - much more than just a driver. Very easy to be with. Highly recommended.

Alex was a sweetheart and even brought us cold drinks and gatorade. Clean and luxurious car. All the Casa Tortuga folks know him. The 4 cenotes were gorgeous and refreshing. Alex waited for us the whole time and greeted us with a big smile.

We had a great time, see the tulum ruins next to the sea very beautiful with a good guide who explained in a didactic way and the best was the cave cenote an experience we loved! Very beautiful place. Super recommended! It's worth it!

I had the tour with Alex in Tulum last July 15 and it was a fantastic experience, even coming from the Yucatan. Alex really gave us a privileged perspective that only a native can offer. We visited the impressive ruins of Tulum and, what struck me the most, was the tour of Cenote Nohoch. The experience there was magical and unique. Equipped with lanterns, we explore the cenote from within, navigating a dark and hidden cave for about an hour. The most spectacular thing was to see the living stalactites and rock formations through roads that were not very well travelled, where there were no other groups. This made the exploration feel totally personal and authentic.
