This was one of the best tours! Our guide, Mario, was fantastic, funny, and so knowledgeable. Seeing the ruins, snorkeling, and exploring the cenote were all some of the greatest experiences. It was a long day, but so worth it. The lunch at the end was so good too and I loved being on the beach for it!

Fellows, don’t hesitate to book this tour even though it seems kind of pricier than other similar options. It for sure worths every single penny you spend. We’ve been to several tours, and this is our most recommended and favorite one. Our tour guide was Saul and driver was Eric, best of the best. Very professional, friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. Saul is so so good at the Mayan culture and gave us a very detailed explanation of the archeological site. He is surprisingly good at biological and marine biology and thorouly introduced the plants and animals live in the Cenote. I promise there will be nothing better than this trip in Cancun. 100 out of 10!
There were some good parts to this excursion but it wasn’t really what I expected. The ruins in Tulum are beautiful and a great option if you’re staying in the area to see some ruins without driving too far. However the guide stopped frequently to explain things which was nice if you wanted to learn but it was too much stopping in the heat when I would have preferred to explore on my own and ask questions if I had any. After that we drove to the cenote which was amazing but the road in and out was about 20 minutes of very bumpy dirt road. The cenote would also not be suitable for anyone who is claustrophobic but if you’re up for a little adventure it is a really cool experience. After that we snorkelled at Akumal lagoon. I had been expecting and hoping to see turtles but there was was no mention of turtles and we unfortunately didn’t see any. We didn’t leave the lagoon until after 3pm at which point we were advised it was a half hour drive to get “lunch,” so we opted to be dropped off at our hotel since we wouldn’t have gotten back until after 5pm otherwise. Overall my travel friend enjoyed it as it was his first experience with an excursion in Mexico but I was a little disappointed and was expecting something different.
This tour will take most of the day, we were picked up from the hotel at 8am and returned by 6pm. Victor, our guide was excellent and guided us trough the day at the Tulum Ruins, Cenote, Lagoon and Beach Diner. Despite getting some rain, the tour went on and we snorkeled under the rain which was a lot of fun. I think this was a good value for what we got, a whole day of entertainment and a great meal at the end.
This was a busy day but covered a lot of experiences. We particularly enjoyed the cenote which was quite stunning.
Lalo was an amazing tour guide and made our already exciting excursion much more interesting! Our driver Charlie was also great. We loved learning about the Mayan civilization in Tulum, swimming in the cenote and seeing a school of sardines and other beautiful fish in the lagoon. If you're adventurous or want to see another side of Cancun outside of resorts, we highly recommend this excursion. A few things to be aware of though. Definitely wear a rash guard if you burn easily since you will have to rinse off your sunscreen for the water activities. Water shoes, although not necessary, made our experience more comfortable in the cenote and lagoon. We brought our reusable water bottles to stay cool throughout the day, and were super glad we did so for Tulum. Our tour guide provided more water to refill our bottles throughout. In October it was super hot and humid so wear breathable clothes. Cancun adventures provides umbrellas for the sun which were so helpful. Lalo also saved us with bug spray in Tulum because those mosquitoes were killer. Lastly, like other reviews have said, it is a full day of driving and adventures so definitely bring snacks and be prepared to have a late dinner unless you live in Playa del Carmen/close to Tulum. We stayed in Playa Mujeres and got picked up at 6:45 am and got dropped off close to 7:45 pm. Overall, we have no regrets and would highly recommend Cancun Adventures.
The excursion was wonderful. Did not get to swim with the turtles but they took us to a lagoon to snorkel the whole day was great but the Cenotes was amazing!
This excursion is worth every single penny!! The price seemed high to me at first but that’s before I realized it included 1.5 hours of travel BOTH ways, the Mayan ruins in Tulum (lots of shopping opportunities to take photos with monkeys, alcohol and fun gifts to purchase etc!) swimming in the Cenote, Snorkeling, and lunch at the beach club. SO much fun, Fantastic tour guide!!
The tour guide was very good. Great English great explanation of the history. our guide was very personable.
It was a great experience! Loved to see different parts of Mexico through historical sites, the cenote and snorkeling. Our guide was great and experienced, would recommend this activity.
Late to pick up at my time. Guide-Checko and driver were great after this bumpy start. Shame Tulum visit was ruined and subsequently cut short by a storm and a lot of rain otherwise nice day.
We had lots of fun our tour guide was awesome, I loved the whole thing but my favorite part was the cenote
This excursion was amazing from beginning to end! I enjoyed every part of the day, but the snorkeling and the magical cenote were definitely my favorite parts. It’s honestly hard to choose between the two because I enjoyed them both so much. The snorkeling was absolutely incredible and such a beautiful experience. The cenote was just as amazing and something I’m so glad I got to experience. Visiting Tulum was fascinating, especially learning about the history behind the ruins and the Mayan culture. Being able to actually see everything in person while hearing the history made it so much more meaningful. Overall, this was one of my favorite excursions of my trip. Beautiful scenery, fascinating history, amazing snorkeling, and an unforgettable cenote experience. I would absolutely recommend it! 10/10!
Everyone was super friendly and professional. Lovely experience, especially as a first time snorkeler. The cenote was absolutely gorgeous and felt truly out of this world. No phones or cameras are allowed in the cenote so be prepared to purchase a photo or just live with the memory. I really enjoyed and appreciated that our guide, Chewy, gave a detailed, yet entertaining historical background to everything we saw. The beachside lunch was surprisingly delicious - we both got a fairly large burrito.
We were very pleased and impressed with all that our tour guide David had to provide for us. He made the experience so much more memorable and enjoyable. We are definitely coming back.
Unfortunately we fell for the classic tourist trap. I want to start by saying though the staff are LOVELY! But they are going to be as they rely on tips.. we were picked up at 6:45am for this excursion which would be totally okay if it wasn’t for the almost 2 hours worth of picking up other people from their resorts!! By the time we made a detour to collect our tour guide we were then told it would be a further 50 minuets until our ‘first stop’ Upon arriving to the cenote we were informed that cameras were not allowed as we can purchase pictures from the workers at the attraction .. this is strange for starters as everywhere else allows you to bring your own personal cameras and devices .. seems unfair! Either way we had our photos taken and after what seemed like a 10 minuet rushed tour of the small cenote we were told that for them to EMAIL us the poor quality photos we would have to pay £100. It was another 35 minuet car sickening journey to the turtles, again this was rushed but the turtles were lovely . You have no chance to be independent as you have to stay close to the group as possible . I spent more time dodging being kicked by the terrible swimmers in the group than seeing turtles . and SHOCK- another 30 minuet car sickening drive to the ‘beach club’ My god was this disappointing The food was mediocre and it was something I can only describe as a desolate eerie beach set up in the middle of nowhere.. anything other than flat lemonade you had to pay for, then you were guilt tripped into tipping (standard) After driving 20 minuets to drop the tour guide home we then went round half of Mexico dropping the other guests off before we finished our day at 3pm. So in summary - unless you want to spend 70% of your money on sitting in a bumpy cramped mini bus , being rushed in the attractions and rung out for money at any given opportunity .. then this isn’t the trip for you, please save your money
There's a lot of walking involved, and depending on the time of year, be prepared to take lots of water.
Fantastic excursion to Tulum. A great time exploring the ruins, swam in an incredible cenote and lagoon snorkeling, finished off with a great lunch on the beach. Tour guide Omar, Captain Ricardo and Miguel provided top-notch service.
We had a great time and it was such a lovely way to spend the day. Not only was it so nice to have the entire day planned but it was really such an awesome way to see so many things in one day. To top it off lunch was delicious!
We had an amazing day trip to Tulum! 🌴☀️ We got to explore the beautiful Tulum ruins, go snorkeling, and swim in a stunning cenote. Everything was such a fun experience, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect combination of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Mexico! 🇲🇽💙 Highly recommended Damien the tour guide and driver Hector
Can’t recommend this tour highly enough! Whilst the activities were brilliant it was our guide Paula that made the day so special. She was so knowledgable and great at engaging everyone. The entire tour was run so professionally and planned perfectly down to lunch on the beach ready for us as we arrived!
Checo y Jorge were so great! My wife and I had an amazing time especially in the cenote!
This trip was simply perfect. The cenote was beautiful, the lagoon swim amazing and Tulum was wonderful. Our guide Alejandro Herrera could not have been better for us. His knowledge, friendliness and humour all spot on. I’d highly recommend this trip and this company.
Our tour guide kept us informed with what we needed for every stop. This experience was more than I expected. It's worth the cost just book it.
Pick up at 0650 was prompt. We were greeted by our driver Victor. We shortly after met our guide Damien. Both were fantastic. Great banter and engagement. The tour(s) was informative and entertaining. Unfortunately we were rained out and cut short with our snorkeling and beach time. Food at the beach was okay. Service was great. My only comment would be that we need more food and better timing. Having left early, we didn’t have breakfast available at our hotel and it was mentioned we would have snacks and beverages available through out. We finally had a very light snack at noon after a very long walk at the beautiful ruins. Everyone was peckish. We then went to the cenote. The cave was phenomenal and a much needed refreshment after a long hot walk. However after two more stops we finally got lunch at 1530. Over all it was lovely, we were just hungry!!
Damián and Victor were incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt very comfortable with them throughout the entire experience. The tour was so much fun, we learned a lot, and they both took great care of us. We had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the experience. Thank you so much
Best birthday ever. I treated myself as a birthday gift and my day was amazing. First the group I was with made the day so much fun and that's because our awesome guide Saul said you are family for the day and it really felt that way. And Saul omg he was kind, funny, knowledgeable and super supportive I can't swim yet I booked an excursion with 2 water activities and Saul said no problem I got you and he did, helped me through the center and lagoon without any judgment or frustration. He was patient and gentle. Seriously Saul was the best part of the day
Gato was the best guide. We went with a seven year old and he went out of his way to include him. You know it is a good tour guide when the include kids. Gato was so knowledgeable on such a wide variety - the ruins, the cenotes and even fish while snorkelling. You will be tired at the end but so worth the trip.
Cenote was awesome experience that I can highly recommended to any Cancun travelers. Great time with a great guide from Cancun Adventure. Definitely return to Cancun Adventure for future Cancun actives!
While the activities were good, the “up to 8 hrs” advertised tour was almost 12 hours with so much time spent in the cramped hot mini bus collecting others from other hotels, swapping vans and driving slowly down long unsealed dirt tracks to the cenote and lunch in a van not made for those dirt track road surfaces. We were collected at 6:20 and lunch wasn’t until after 3pm. Had we known that we would have taken advantage of eating at Tulum earlier. Good guides and good activity but next time we will seek a private tour to avoid the mini bus and travel stress.
Guide Mario was excellent. The cenote experience was amazing and a must do.
Our full day excursion was great. Adrian and Rodrigo were fantastic. Couldn't ask for better guide and driver! Cenote Sueno was amazing and highly recommend. Lagoon snorkel was good and saw some nice fish but water was quite cloudy so a bit disappointed. Overall day was great and do highly recommend. One thing to share is to be sure bring towels!
This is a full day activity and lots of riding in vans. Tulum is awesome, the Cenote is incredible…..just a long day
This one is a must. The tour is fun, engaging and the guide’s Luis and Eric are amazing. Highly reccomend.
My wife, her sisters, and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our guide, “Gato”, was both informative and entertaining. His knowledge of the history of these sites and the area were great. The Mayan archeological site was amazing. The cenote was otherworldly. It truly must be experienced to be believed, and the snorkeling was wonderful. I highly recommend both Gato and this tour.
What a great excursion! I did this as a solo traveler and had the absolute best time. I have to say this tour is LONG. So, please be ready for a full day experience. The time does not include the time picking up guests at the different resorts. I happened to be in the hotel furthest away which meant I was the first picked up and the last to be dropped off. Checko was an amazing guide! He was funny but also very supportive. He checked on me as a solo traveler to make sure I was OK and also checked in with those who were nervous about swimming. He truly made the experience top notch. The food was so good however it was late in the day, so make sure you have a hearty breakfast and pack some snacks. The crew did provide us with bananas and granola bars for those who needed a snack before lunch. Also at our stop in Tulum, we had time to grab a bite if needed too. So, you won't go starving. My absolute favorite part was the cenote experience. So so beautiful. While you cannot take photos the memories will last forever. Also, please do not buy the photos. They are so over priced and there is no guarantee on when you'd receive the photos.
The Tulum portion was good I wish our guide was a little bit more experienced because we heard other guides giving very detailed information and our tour guides seem to be reading off the plaques. the cenote portion was one of the best experiences my family and I have ever had and for this our tour guide was fantastic ! He knew a lot about the cenote which was underground . The snorkeling portion was a little unorganized and there were a lot of people there but the fish were plentiful and it was a beautiful setting. We thought lunch on the beach sounded fantastic except the beach was filled with seaweed you couldn't go on the beach except where you're eating under the tent. The road to get to the beach was atrocious and took forever so we could've done without that drive to the Cancun adventures own special beach for lunch, because while the lunch was good and the service was good it wasn't worth the drive and the smell of the beach. Overall the cenote and the Tulum ruins made the day well worth it it was a small group 14 of us on a especially Hot day our tour guide had snacks and water for us all throughout the day and if there's one thing that you absolutely do it is visit an underground Sonoda while you are in Mexico it is well worth it
Great trip Tulum was beautiful and getting into the Cenote was the best. The snorkeling was ok. Our driver that picked us at the hotel was a very aggressive dangerous driver. All the passengers in the van were scared. When we arrived at the cenote they did not allow us to take pictures or take our camera. They took several pictures of my family and sold us the digital pics for 180 dollars. Talk about gouging and taking advantage. I bought one pic for 50 dollars. Yes I was upset. The snorkeling was nice but it was quick and didn’t see many fish.
Excellent guide! Very knowledgeable about Tulum history and the cenote. You can leave your belongings in the van while you are participating in these experiences. We were very glad to see that Mexico is protecting their waters. No sunscreen allowed. One must shower before entering any of the activities. Food at the end of the experience was very generous! We would like to return to another Viator tour with more cenotes! They are so beautiful and the water is so relaxing! Our driver was outstanding! He was very patient. Carlos - Driver & Chewbacca - Excellent Guide!!!!
Ana and Omar were great hosts. Friendly and knowledgeable about Tulum. Collected from Dreams Sapphire and taken in clean and new vehicle. Tulum was very hot but Ana made sure to look after us. Picked up at 0645 and dropped off at 1245.
Great experience overall. Ruins were cool. It was HOT. Cenote was WILD. I mean, just in awe. Lagoon snorkeling was cool too. Our guide was the best. You could tell he loves what he does. Food was decent.
My experience was great with Mario. He was a professional. I would recommend!
El gato is the best!! His attention to detail and vast knowledge of everything was terrific!
Felipe and Louis were our diver and guide and the were both amazing. Although the whole day was completely amazing, the cenote we went to was the highlight of the day. Lunch was great. We all agreed this was a great tour. Thank you.
Lalo and Manuel were fantastic! I really appreciated how much knowledge he shared throughout the tour. His passion for the sights, the culture, and the people made the experience both entertaining and informative. He made the tour fun while teaching us so much. I highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Lalo or Manuel as your guide, you’re in for an amazing experience!
Cesar our guide was awesome! Full of jomes, local knowledge, and more jokes. My favorite part was swimming in the sinote. Would recommend over and ovwr again.
The magical Cenote was very impressive! For me one of the best experiences of the trip. Just breathtaking. The snorkeling was not good for us because of the time of year. We went in mid June and the ocean was kicking up seaweed and debris so we were unable to see very much at all. It was still fun but that experience I would reserve for a different month. From what I'm told between December and mid April would have been much better for that.
Everything was fantastic. Contact the day before to confirm pick up. Pick up at hotel was super easy. Guide was very detailed (Silvino), he explained everything before we got to places and what to expect. Told us what was included and what not to get trapped paying for. The van provided water and snacks. The van had AC which is such a blessing. Going in June was super hot.
We had an amazing time. Even though the weather was overcast and rainy, it didn’t matter! Our tour guide made sure we were comfortable the entire time. Instructions were clear, allowing us to move quickly and efficiently as a group. The cenote was definitely the highlight for me. It was breathtaking and not overly crowded. We had a good amount of time at each stop. I would highly recommend this tour!
Ruins were great, along with guided information. The Cenote was breathtaking, and a unique experience to swim in. Transportation could use some help. There were driving way too fast, and almost got into an accident. The air conditioner was also not up to par. For the price of this excursion, it should be better. You may not take your own photos in the Cenote. The only option is to buy their overpriced photo packages. They also don’t take photos through the whole experience, so you miss capturing the best moments. A bit of a disappointment.
