We were lucky enough to have German be our tour guide today, as we visited 4 cenotes and turtle beach in Akumal. We had plenty of space in the air conditioned van, and no extra people so we were very comfortable. He was prompt on time, and was ready to pick us up when we were ready to go. German went above and beyond for our group and even sent us some pictures from our turtle beach excursion. Highly recommend the services we were provided today. Thanks German!!!

Absolutely loved the tour! Jesus was amazing and informative!! We felt like they were very knowledgeable and made sure we felt comfortable and safe the entire time.
The private ride to Tulum and all of the history Jesus knew and told us on the 1 hour ride there. The cenotes were amazing! And the snorkeling was so cool! We saw sea turtles!!! Bring go pro, snacks and waters. The guys were nice and stopped at a gas station for us to grab some snacks- didn’t return until 3:00
Everything was absolutely amazing!! Carlos our tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He made us feel welcome and made every experience fun! We will be doing this again when we come back in the area!!
Three wonderful experiences in one tour. Professional friendly tour guide. Check it out. It is definitely worth it.
Tour guide was great (Efren)! Super knowledgeable and you could tell he was passionate about what he was talking about. Learned a lot. Snorkeling would have been great but there was a storm so we had big waves and it poured. However we saw three sea turtles and a sting ray. Location of snorkeling was with a view of Tulum. Beach was covered in rotting seaweed and about 3 feet deep. Made it difficult to get on and off boat. Cenotes we’re gorgeous but location was super crowded. We left our hotel at 7am and didn’t get back until almost 5pm however lunch was not provided. Would have been easy enough to have lunch provided at the cenotes as the location has a few restaurants. We had to ask our driver to stop at a convenience store on our way back to the hotel because we were starving and had missed lunch at the hotel. Overall great experience
Loved Tulum, loved the cenotes. Snorkelling was cancelled due to rough weather but I still really enjoyed the day. Carlos is amazing. He is so kind and friendly and knowledgeable, he really goes the extra mile. And many thanks to Javier for getting us safely and quickly everywhere we needed to go. Actually the cenotes were the highlight of my whole week in Mexico. There are caves as well as open cenotes. I loved the 3m jump into the biggest one!
Carlos is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide. Javier(our driver) safely transported us to and from our tours. My daughter and I enjoyed our trip to the Tulum Archaeological Zone and the Cenotes. Due to the wind, our snorkeling tour was cancelled. We did get a little bit extra time at the cenotes, though. Overall, I would use Mayan Rivera Tours again.
Joel was an incredible guide who really knows his history and the area. His love for history and culture shows through to make for a great guide! He also made a special stop for me when I asked him where I could but local honey that I collect (after he showed us some of the native bees) Our group was small and we all became friends by the end of the day. The ruins and everything about the day was the best part of our vacation 😊
Efron our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful time. Check it out, it was lovely.
I can’t recommend this trip enough. The tour company were on time (to the min) and the guide was very informative at Tulum ruins. The highlight has to be the snorkelling. We saw three turtles up close and countless sting rays and fish. We then visited four centres. Two open which you can jump into ( a lot of fun) and two closed (fantastic experience).
All the staff working with Mayan Riviera Tours were phenomenal!! The drivers were on time (Ruben and Joel) and our guide for Tulum ruins was very informative and had a great attitude!! I'm sorry I can't remember his name. Joel transported us to snorkeling and for the rest of the day! He had a great attitude and even pulled over at a BBQ Taco stand so we could grab authentic Mexican food after snorkeling! That food was the best we had during our whole 6 days stay in Mexico!!! This excursion is a MUST SEE, MUST EXPERIENCE!!! We learned a lot about the Tulum ruins, got to hold an iguana (some guy standing by the front had it), the snorkeling was fabulous, being able to swim right next to sea turtles and other ocean species!! Don't forget to bring a towel and a GoPro!!! You're gonna want to capture this!!! Those sea turtles were literally within arms reach, that's an unforgettable experience and we will never forget!! The cenotes were absolutely beautiful!! We are beyond pleased with this excursion and the tour service and would absolutely recommend them to others and use them again if we ever make it back to Mexico!!
We loved the Tulum ruins and got there early enough that it wasn't super hot. Snorkeling was great and we saw a sea turtle and stingray. We went to a park with four cenotes, two cave and two open, and it was a great experience.
I just want to say that Jesus and his partner went out of their way to make sure we are happy and comfortable. Jesus was so carrying and such an amazing and knowledgeable gentleman. One of the people in our group didn’t show up Jesus called them multiple times walked around the building to see if they’re standing somewhere else, asked the construction workers that were working around the building if they saw the people. He waited until he decided that they weren’t coming. And he texted them our first destination so they can take a taxi and join us. I was very happy how he went out of his way to make sure we don’t miss our tour because some tours won’t wait for you at all! The second thing I loved about this tour is how much he cares about his tourists he asked if we wanted coffee or a snacks and we stopped at a store to get snacks really quick! They always provide you with cold water in the cooler ! The third thing I liked about Jesus is his passion and knowledge. He explained and talked about every building in the Tulum ruins it was very fun and very interesting! And I also want to mention how his partner was driving so carefully and safely at the end of our trip it started to rain really hard and he managed to drive safely in the hard pouring rain. He was very nice and friendly it felt like I was hanging out with my friends and not just a tour guide. I highly recommend it I was hesitant about the trip because I didn’t want to get bored with all the historical Architecture but Jesus really changed my mind it was the best experience of my life I would 100% do it again especially with Jesus and his amazing partner. What you will expect is : 1. the day before your trip always check for updates just in case your pick up time changes. 2. You will be picked at the exact time they told you. Outside the lobby. 3. Jesus will come out of his van and call your name. He will welcome you and offer you drinks. 4. They will pick other people up. Stop to get coffee and snacks. 5. Go to Tulum ruins. 6. While you are by the Tulum ruins you will go snorkeling and get to take cool pictures from your boat of the Tulum ruins. 6. After the Tulum ruins the driver will take you to cada tortuga to see all 4 cenotes. Best thing to do is bring snacks, comfortable shoes to walk in and slides or foot flops, towels, bathing suits, cover ups for the ladies, sun screen, bug repellent, and waterproof phone case because in one of the cenote you have to go under the cave to get to the other cenote and they don’t advise you to take the phone with you. And bring money for tipping these amazing gentlemen and for your locker in case you need a locker at casa tortuga!
Excelent place with nice people and the view of the beach was amazing I like the room was very comfortable and I had a good time with my husband
Great excursion! We had Martìn and Joèl. Martìn knew so much history about Tulum. On the snorkeling portion, we saw tons of different types of fish, stingrays, and sea turtles. I would suggest bringing snacks. They provide water, but not food.
The tour was absolutely wonderful. The tour guide Mr. Hugo was just amazing and very knowledgeable about the history of the area, you can tell he really cares about it. The tour was very relaxed and safe and Hugo was very accommodating which was great. We visited the Tulum site and very beautiful, refreshing cenotes in the area. I truly do recommend the tour!
Had a great time with Martin Javier today. Lots of great information on the tour about the Mayan civilization, plus had fun at both the snorkeling and Cenote visit. The pickup was prompt, and they were flexible with a different Mayan site as Tulum was closed due to COVID. We spent about an hour at each site.
Great excursion. The ruins are gorgeous, snorkeling was murky but they can't be faulted by the conditions of the water. The grand cenote was breathtaking and our guide Ulises was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend this excursion.
The tour guide (Ulysses) was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Visiting the Mayan ruins was a great experience. I loved the snorkeling, we were able to see baby turtles and sting rays!
Absolutely AMAZING!! Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure each leg of the excursion was smooth and enjoyable. Our group of four was the only one on the excursion which was great for social distancing. And for the price point I couldn’t ask for anything more! Absolutely recommend!!
Ulysses and his team were well organized. Javier the driver had a prompt arrival to our hotel. Tulum Mayan ruins were really beautiful. The snorkeling came next. I didn’t read tour details so when I got there I found the snorkel started from a boat. There was a bit of wind so I got a bit sick because I didn’t know to take my sea sickness meds. We saw beautiful fish, awesome big turtles and stingray. Finally the Grand Cenote was nice. It is partially open and partially closed. Not too cold but refreshing. The ride back was efficient. I was glad to take the shorter tour because I was tired and glad to spend the rest of the day at my resort. Well priced tour. Viator was very helpful to verify my hotel pick up because it wasn’t on the pick list.
Bringing my mother on a vacation and I wanted to pick something with variety that would be a memorable experience. Our driver Javier was very professional, efficient and considerate from the start. Our tour guide Ulyses took care of us like a family member, was patient, kind and shared the historical culture with us. We couldn’t have asked for better guides or a better excursion. If you’re on the fence, just do it!
Telum ruins .... never need to see another ruin in my life . Was not warned that there was NO drink to be had for hours . I was so hot i felt like dying . There was no place to go for shade or water. The ruins themselves were meh ... the snorklling was pretty good but very crowded
This was a great tour at a great price! There were 2 other couples on the tour with us. We walked around the Mayan ruins at Tulum and our guide told us interesting facts about the place. We then went snorkeling around the nearby coral reefs - we saw lots of fish including some sting rays and a small barracuda. Lastly we went to the Grand Cenote which was spectacular. I highly recommend it. We were back at our resort just after noon.
Fantastico!! The whole trip from a prompt pick up at hotel until drop off 5 hours later was a great experience. Tony our guide was informative and attentive to our needs throughout. The ruins at Tulum we’re breathtaking, the snorkelling was exhilarating and the Cenote refreshing, on the whole, we had a great time.
Joel was our tour guide and Javier was our driver. We were picked up at our hotel, Bahia Principe. We stopped at 711 for snacks. It was a hot day and the van was stocked with water in a cooler. We went to Ruins first. It was very hot at 8am already. Couldn’t imagine going any later and we were dripping sweat. Next stop was snorkeling. We saw many turtles. Last stop was Grand Cenote. Absolutely wonderful and refreshing. Highly recommend the tour. We were gone about 6 hours total.
We were pleased with this excursion. They were on time and we felt safe. Our guide of Tulum was very knowledgeable and the cenote was amazing. Our only complaint was the snorkel experience. No one spoke English on the very small boat which I didn’t think was safe and once in the water we were pretty much left. Not really a guide showing us where to see anything. The water was also pretty choppy as well and didn’t see much. I would either take the snorkel part off completely or use a different company for the snorkel part.
Great experience with Jesus and company. Very fun, smart and historians. A know all of Tulum and Kaba
