Small-group 3 Cenotes Adventure Tour

We visited Tulum for 7 days in October 2026 and a friend recommended that we do a tour with Mexico Kan Tours. We chose "The Cenote Adventure" tour and it was wonderful! Pickup and dropoff was easy, and our driver Victor was very friendly and helpful. Our tour guide Martin was excellent and gave us a lot of great history and background about the Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and the formation and geological significance of the area and its cenotes. All three cenotes were really interesting and beautiful in their own way. The small, private cave cenote that we visited last was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! I could have wandered around in that incredible other-worldly place for hours. We felt very supported and safe with our guide. Lunch was delicious, and a wonderful way to end the day. Don't hesitate to book with this tour company, they will take very good care of you and you'll enjoy whatever experience you choose!

We went to three cenotes. Each different and beautiful. The last one was so special I think almost everyone agreed it was the best. Pablo was our guide and he was fantastic! We could tell he was extremely passionate about everything he was talking about and was very knowledgeable about the area.

We had an absolutely incredible cenote tour with Mexico Kan Tours! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, stress-free, and deeply memorable. Our guide, Martin, was phenomenal. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the regional history and ecosystems, answering all our questions with genuine enthusiasm. We never felt rushed at any point; he allowed us to truly soak in the beauty of each location at our own pace. Martin took care of absolutely everything, making sure we felt safe and comfortable. As a huge bonus, he took amazing photos of us throughout the day so we could just live in the moment. Our driver, Victor, was equally fantastic. He arrived exactly on time for our morning pickup. The roads in the area can have quite a few potholes, but Victor drove incredibly carefully and smoothly, making us feel completely safe and relaxed in the vehicle the entire time. Ursula was a superb tour guide. We went to 3 cenotes that were totally different and absolutely magnificent. Ursula had cookies and fresh fruit for us at every stop which made us feel really special. I have gone to many cenotes, but the ones in this tours we all very unique. Ursula and Aurelio are a great team and very punctual. The last cenote made us feel like “ Indiana Jones’ explorers and it was a blast. Ursula is extremely knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and history. I would highly recommend this tour. Claudja

Amazing experience with Cesar! We loved dipping into the fresh centers chosen carefully by the operator to provide a unique experience. We loved hanging out in a small group, with a fun and informative guide! The lunch was amazing as well

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Maca when we went on the Mexico Kan Tours Cenote tour. Armando was our driver and was so sweet and accommodating. Maca was the perfect tour guide to show us the wonders of Mexico's cenotes: energetic and grounding, knowledgeable and easy to understand, open to all the questions we had, and let us lead the charge for how long we wanted to spend at each area. She added a flair of hilarity throughout the day and was fun to be with; you can tell she really enjoys what she does. I would absolutely book another tour with her, whatever it was that she was doing - her personality and energy were fabulous. We visited three cenotes, all of which were very different from each other and equally as enthralling. The first one was open air, crystal-clear water with tons of aquatic creatures - bright, curious fish that would come right up to your face. The second one was underground, though it had good lighting and was open to free divers and scuba divers, with many areas to explore. The third one was a tube cavern, and we couldn't take our phones because it required a bit more finagling and didn't come out where we started - it was my favorite and had little catfish in the water, tons of ecological interests, and bats that flew around us. We did a little meditation and turned off our flashlights at one point with the sounds of bats, which I really enjoyed. It was a much less tourist-heavy experience than I was expecting, and we had a very individualized experience (we were the only ones there for the 1st and 3rd cenote). There was only one other person on the tour, whom we very much enjoyed, although the listing says there could be up to 10 in the van, including the driver and guide. All equipment and entry fees were included in the initial price - I used a snorkel and life jacket without any additional cost. This was hands down the highlight of my trip, and I wish I had stayed longer in Mexico so I could have booked another tour. Trust Mexico Kan Tours, they'll blow you away.

The tour was absolutely amazing and very diverse. From snorkelling with colourful fish in the first paradisiac cenote to a unique speleologist (light) experience in the underground cenotes that we discovered with the experienced help of our guide, Macarena. She was enthusiastic, professional and gave super interesting explanations. This all with respect for nature, away from the big crowds and ending with a super good meal 😍. Even the granola bars were hand made and without packaging (and the best I ate in my life). Would 100% recommend.

We had a great tour with Martin and Armando (driver). The 3 Cenotes were pretty cool and quite different from each other. The first one was open, the second one had amazing stalactites and stalagmites and the 3rd one was far way underground and kind of private. Martin gave a good overview on how the cenotes were formed and why they are so important. We were 4 people on the tour and it was really relaxed. We would definitely recommend the tour.

Awesome wonderful cenote experience. First one with cave snorkeling in Cristal clear water. Second one open to refresh and the last like a combination of cave hiking and swimming. We had an amazing experience! Kenya was our guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We went to 3 very different cenotes and got to experience the full range of the beauty of nature. Would absolutely book another experience with Kenya on our next trip to Tulum.

I went on this tour with my sister, and we Visited 3 cenotes (one outdoor, one in a big cavern, and one as a private guided cave walk) in a small group of 6 people total. I would recommend this tour to people who are not claustrophobic, and are ok with the adventure. The cave cenotes are one of a kind, and the cave walk at the end was an amazing experience that I would never be able to replicate on my own.

Well what can I say My wife and I spent the day with Luigi our guide and several other people on this trip which was totally amazing far more than we was expecting’ Luigi knowledge of the Cenotes was very informative Certainly worth making this a must do

Everything was wonderful for our family. Parents, 12 and 16 year old kids, plus Grandpa. It was a little slow going for Grandpa, 77, but he really enjoyed the experience as well. Our Guide Carlos was very informative and fun.

Maca and Aure were amazing tour guides for our multi family cenotes adventure. By far the most fun thing we did in Tulum! Maca had great energy, was very knowledgeable and both she and Aure were very safety conscious. Earlier in the week Maca led another small group with our Sian Ka'an tour and brought the same great energy. Highly recommend her!

This was an awesome tour led by Jessica who was so informative and took our group to 3 different kinds of centers. We managed to get to each before the crowds arrived which helped this feel as a personal tour. Our family felt comfortable even through some have never experienced being in the water. From the open air, partially underground and then full cave walking tour this was the best time we spent in Tulum. The entire process from pickup to drop Off went perfectly and the lunch stop was a perfect break in the middle of our day. Strongly recommend this tour as you’ll likely never see anything like it again

10/10 amazing tour with Carlos and Hector! Fun mountain bike ride, then stopped at 3 cenotes. First cenote we either zip lined/cliff jumped into the water or you could take the stairs into the water. Second cenote, was multiple long zip lines over the cenote and then we canoed back! Last cenote, was snorkeling and you could either cliff jump or walk into the water! Finally, we ended with an AMAZING lunch and tequila tasting!!!

Carlos and Hector were amazing! My sister and I had such a fun time, and Carlos was so fun and taught us about the local flora and fauna. The cenotes were gorgeous and they take photos for you when you are jumping or zip lining! Lunch was also absolutely delicious

Marco was our tour guide visiting 3 cenotes. He was an amazing guide. Very kind and knowledgeable about the cenotes. During the drives between the cenotes I asked about the wildlife and Marco told us about them and we found some birds and iguanas to take pictures of and learn about, and some plants I was interested in. The cenotes we visited were also so beautiful, visiting 2 caverns. I am really happy we chose this tour group and had Marco as our guide.

Had a great day out with Marco! An unexpected and fantastic highlight was Marco’s amazing knowledge of birds. He spotted several different species and taught us a lot. Loved the cenotes, especially the private one we visited. The snacks and lunch were also great.

It was an amazing tour where we started in an open cenote that we were early enough to have the whole place to ourselves! Then we went to a mostly closed cenote where we saw how large the cave systems can be. And last we had a walk through a cenote where we saw beautiful formations and wildlife. It was truly an experience of a lifetime!

From the moment we met him, Alonso greeted us with enthusiasm, warmth, and a genuine passion for sharing the beauty of the cenotes. Not only was Alonso extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history of each cenote, but he was also full of fun facts and great stories that made the tour both educational and entertaining. Alonso truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and excited throughout the day. He provided excellent guidance on the best spots to swim, the safest ways to explore, and took plenty of time to help us capture amazing photos. Every stop was breathtaking — but what made the experience unforgettable was Alonso’s energy, care, and dedication. He was patient, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring with a great friend who genuinely wanted us to have the best day possible. We cannot recommend this tour enough, especially if you get Alonso as your guide — he truly made this one of the highlights of our trip! This tour was really the highlight of my stain Tulum. We visited hidden private cenotes and discovered the mysterious beauty of the Yucatan peninsula. Our guide, Miguel was patient and knowledgeable and took us to a delicious lunch on our way back. Recommend- no hassle, crowds or annoying tourists

Paloma was an outstanding guide and made our cenote tour truly unforgettable. From start to finish, she looked after us so well, always making sure we felt comfortable, safe, and fully present in the experience. One of the most special moments was when she asked us to turn off our torches inside the cenote and take a moment to thank it for allowing us to pass through. It was incredibly powerful and grounding, and it completely changed how we experienced the space. That level of respect and intention is something you don’t forget. Paloma’s knowledge, care, and calm presence made the entire tour feel meaningful rather than rushed or touristy. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in every detail. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Marco led us on an amazing tour of three cenotes which exceeded everyone’s expectations! Marco was the perfect host and guide, explaining the geology along the way but keeping it fun and adventurous. The first cenote was private so we were lucky enough to experience it without any crowds. Would absolutely recommend exploring with Marco if you get the chance!

A great day spent exploring the Cenotes, which were beautiful. We spent enough time at each Cenote to get a great experience, explore, and still get back for an afternoon poolside. The included lunch at the restaurant was also delicious. Alonzo was a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Brilliant tour. Our guide Kenia was patient, kind, well humoured, and knowledgeable about the history, biology, and current affairs affecting the local area. She was inclusive of everyone’s needs in the family, and all left delighted with the experience.
