Had a great experience with these guys. After 3 years break because of my knee surgery I booked an equipment rental and supervised session through these guys. My instructor Pawel was amazing, pointing to my mistakes and helping me with everything. Plus the beach is amazing with all the beach clubs around and DJs playing live during the day. I highly recommend this guys!

Hubby took private kite boarding lessons from Mauricio. He is so much fun but more importantly he is so competent. He takes safety seriously and is an excellent teacher. He was always communicating what hubby was doing right and what he needed to change. Hubby took 6+ hrs of lessons and did really well. Mauricio truly cares about people and Tulum. We will see him again for more lessons.

They made it super easy to learn and I was able to fly the kite in just 3 lessons by myself. They are amazing at teaching and they really know what they are doing. Highly recommend them!

Mauricio and his team are awesome! We had a fantastic day, chasing the wind to Isla Blanca. We spend the day in a beautiful lagoon with lots of space for all kiters, a cute little restaurant and lots of like minded people. I took a 1-hour refresher with Mathis, who gave me great advice to progress my skills and then the freedom to practice the entire day. Mauricio was very responsive and just a super nice guy to hang out and chat with. Would recommend to everyone in Tulum to stop by and kitesurf with MC Kitesurf.

I had the most incredible experience improving my kitesurfing skills in Tulum with Mauricio and Roma in December! They are incredibly positive and friendly people who give amazing professional feedback on safety, kite control and riding even for advanced levels. I learnt transitions and did my first jumps with them. Highly recommend!

Roma is an amazing kiteboarding instructor! He has a methodical teaching method where he starts with safety and then builds a foundation for learning carefully leading you through all of the steps to become a self sufficient kiteboarder. He is fun and a pleasure to work with. I can't imagine a better instructor. And Mauricio is fantastic. They will do everything they can to help you have a great experience. It was great to get to know them and I look forward to returning!

We were able to get on the board surfing much faster than expected thanks to the really professional and encouraging instructions. Communication about the right weather / timing was always very honest. We really appreciated that and highly recommend starting kite surfing with Mauricio!

They are one of the best instructors for any sport I have ever learned. A perfect mix of knowledge, patience and passion for teaching. I learned extremely quickly with them. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own equipment shortly after.

Our family of four enjoyed three amazing days of kiteboarding and wing-foiling with Mauricio and crew. Our two sons (19 and 22) kite boarded, and their instructors Roma and Bo were super helpful and very friendly. My wife and I focused on wing foiling with Mauricio. He couldn’t be nicer or more encouraging. He is a great instructor and felt like part of the family when we left. The whole experience was fantastic and the Ahua resort was an excellent base of operations with very friendly staff and a super overall beach ambiance. We all made great progress improving our skills and would do it again in a heart beat!

I had a few hours kite lesson with Mauricio and his team and these people know their stuff! Good material, excellent advises, fantastic location… I could sing their praise for days. Don’t hesitate, book a few lessons with them, you won’t regret it !

I had a fantastic experience with MC Kitesurf...completing 11 hours of one-on-one Kitesurf instruction with Roma. He was excellent: patient, professional, highly competent, yet fun. During each session, we went through safety procedures, equipment set-up, and kite flying skills. After a few sessions, we trained on the board. Altogether well worth it. Mauricio was gracious, handled the communications and scheduling, and was flexible around my needs and wind conditions. I highly recommend this team.

Best water activities in the area! Pawel was my instructor for kite surfing and he took care to make it a very good experience. I really enjoyed the lessons and Isla Blanca experience! Highly recommend.

Mauricio and team are top notch. Locals who've been at it for a long time and work with great travelling instructors to adjust up and down for the season. Multi-lingual, super friendly + approachable. Had two sessions with them while I was in town. They also do gear rentals. Tons of fun & great communication throughout. 10/10.

Mauricio was a fabulous host and made sure my first time beginner kite surfer lesson was an incredible experience…where i learned more than the fun i had doing it! A genuinely warm and super happy team of instructors …all so friendly and knowledgeable and they all love what they do!! Cant wait to return…and do it all over again. As a beginner i totally recommend the two day sessions….alot to learn but so worth it!

After years of dreaming about learning to kiteboard, I finally went for it… I could not have selected a better crew for my lessons. My instructor, Roma was excellent. His instructions were clear and straight forward and he was very patient with me as I learned the delicate art of flying the kite. After getting a feel for flying the kite, I was ready for the water. After four two hour lessons, I was up on the board. I had the benefit of learning to kiteboard in some gnarly conditions! While the conditions were challenging, I feel that it prepared me well for kiteboarding in all conditions. And when we went to the smoother waters of Isla Blanca, I was all the more ready to ride. If you are looking to learn the intricate art of kiteboarding from a world class crew of instructors, you have found your spot! Go for it!!! Ryan

we planned a kite surf private lesson to improve ridding style, but the wind didn’t show up in the right direction. The team suggested an excellent day trip in Isla Blanca, where the two instructors offered fantastic improvement lesson.

I had so much fun learning to kitesurf with the MC Kitesurfing team! I have been trying to learn for over a year with different companies teaching me and this was the first time I really made progress and grasped the concepts of kitesurfing, which was very exciting. Mauricio's way of teaching and expertise is better than anywhere else I have taken lessons. Not only was their expertise the best, and helped me really progress, but they are so fun and friendly and flexible. I would highly recommend MC!

I really enjoyed my time with Mexican Caribbean Kitesurfing, and found it to be a very professional, friendly and honest establishment. The instructors were great and the tips that they have given were very helpful. Mauricio, the owner, answered my questions and made expectations very clear (about the lessons and renting gear). They had top-of-the-line gear, and you can tell they have paid attention to little details to have their students comfortable (their life vests and helmets were not generic but geared for water sports for example). They would be the place I go for kitesurfing when I visit Tulum again.

Mauricio and Roma are fun, friendly, personable, reasonable, and most importantly, excellent teachers. M was very adaptable to me wanting to work on kiting tricks, strapless, and winging, and was great w my partner who was a complete novice. He was professional when wind was not working and we needed to adjust schedule, and generally made it a great experience. 5 stars.

Mauricio is awesome, exactly what you want in a teacher. I was a total beginner. I ended up doing 3 or 4 long lessons with him over 2 weeks. Super great at giving feedback, made progress each time. I ended up getting to the point where I was out on my own. I’d highly recommend and will be taking another one next time I’m in town to get even better!

I had a great time learning kiteboarding with Mauricio. It was my first time kiteboarding and I had 2 lessons booked back to back. I was almost able to stand up on the board during the second lesson. Winds weren’t favorable but we still had a great time while getting a killer workout. Mauricio does a great job explaining everything you need to know to start kiteboarding and he makes sure you’re having a great time while being safe out there. Next time I’m in Tulum, I’m definitely booking more lessons! 🤙🤙

This was a totally fantastic experience. Rocio and her husband Mauricio run this place and are both super accommodating and a pleasure to meet. Mauricio is an excellent instructor: he was thorough in explaining the basics of window theory and kite set up, and got me flying the kite within the first couple of hours. He paid a lot of attention and corrected me at key points. Had me in the water with the kite by the end of the first ~3 hour session. I had never kite surfed before but had some experience flying kits. Mauricio met me where I was at and adjusted his instruction style based on how I was doing. Felt totally worth the money and wish I had be able to take more classes while I was there. Also worth mentioning - Rocio was super accommodating and response over whatsapp and worked to squeeze me in as my plans changed. Overall experience was exceptional. Was planning on doing a second class but the wind wasn't cooperating that day and Mauricio very honestly didn't want to accept my money knowing that the day would be disappointing. Super appreciated this. Highly highly recommend! Thanks, Rocio and Mauricio! Will definitely come back.

This is the best place to learn kiteboarding in Tulum. Mauricio and Isabel are incredibly great. They are supportive, fun, and professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good school.

I have nothing but good things to say about the people At Tulum kite surfing. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I had no previous Kitesurfing experience and after five hours I feel quite confident and understanding how to maneuver the kite. I would highly recommend tulum Kite Surf to anybody who wants to learn how to Kite surf. Can’t wait to get back out there for my next lesson.

My 14 year old son and I had kiteboarding lessons with Isabel both in Tulum and then in Isla Blanca. Isabel was fantastic, especially with my son who was a little hesitant, but really made some great progress thanks to her help. We ended up doing two lessons and were pretty close to being able to ride. If we had more time in Mexico, a third lesson would have had us riding pretty well. Be aware that Kiteboarding is very weather dependant and the best day we had was up at Isla Blanca with great wind and a beginner friendly lagoon. In Tulum it seemed more likely that you need the right wind conditions to succeed. I really appreciated how Isabel and Mauricio were determined to help us progress and kept us out there practicing until we were exhausted. There was no pushiness when it came to payment or booking, they were just super chill and wanted us to have a great time and succeed. Looking forward to returning and continuing to learn with these guys!

I took 4 private lessons over 2 days. 1 day in the ocean and 1 day in the lagoon. It was awesome! Thanks to the great instructing I was up and riding by the end of my lessons and I had zero experience before this. Nice gear, great people and an overall great time.

Mauricio and his team are amazing. I got my kitesurf level improved a lot in three days, and I’m now nearly autonomous. Instructors know their stuff, and guided me on a one-on-one basis to fox my mistakes very fast. I can only recommend them. About the location: there are waves, but thats a good thing. Its not only fun to try to jump them, but it also gives you an extra challenge that improves your skills. Go for it in Tulum.

Traveled to Tulum last week to take 3 days of lessons learning how to kitesurf and had an amazing time. Mauricio the owner of MCK and his instructors Isabel and Antonio are the nicest, most professional, and knowledgeable people you will meet. I personally had my 3 days of lessons with Isabel and she was so patient and fun to be around learning the proper techniques to kitesurf. When I did make mistakes she never once got frustrated with me but rather would calmly explain what I did wrong so I could make the proper corrections. This made learning to kitesurf so much more enjoyable. I am already looking forward to going back for more lessons and want to say thanks for making my first time kitesurfing such a fun experience.

Loved our kiteboarding classes with Mauricio and Isabel. Both are very professional and attentive instructors. Will definitely take classes with them again once back to Tulum.

I was a first-time kite surfer who took four days of lessons - without question it was one of the best beach experiences I've ever had. The team is first class, spoke fluent English, and found the right balance of challenging me to advance without the process ever feeling fast or unsafe. Like with all the best teachers, their love for the sport was contagious and I'll be back in the water as soon as I can get to the beach again. Tulum already has so much to offer and kitesurfing with Mexican Caribbean Kitesurf needs to be at the top of the list when you get there.

We came with 6 friends and we all did kitesurf. We all had different levels (3 of us were beginners) and Mauricio and his team were perfect. We could all progress, at our own pace. The spot is amazing - even with waves some days - the team is amazing, very careful and patient. Well, I guess you just need to go and enjoy 🏄🏼‍♀️

I spent a few weeks in Tulum and was kite boarding with Mauricio the entire time. He’s a super great guy and constantly was trying to put me in the best position possible to get good wind and improve. We traveled to Isla Blanca and had a blast as the wind wasn’t blowing in Tulum at the time. He’s a super knowledgeable guy and is clearly not just about the money as there were some days that I was hoping to go out but the wind was just too light and he let me know ahead of time to save me the money. I also had a few lessons with Isabell and it was awesome. She has a great way of teaching and I really enjoyed it. This is a really respectable group of instructors and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Amazing!!! Mauricio is the man, I’ve been coming back here for lessons for 5 years straight. Would never go anywhere else. Really great instruction, super cool people. Mauricio even took me out for a quick surf today when the wind died down. Isabel is a great instructor, Pablo was awesome too when he was around. You can’t go wrong. Pay them a visit, and pick up a delicious smoothie bowl next door at raw love while you’re there!

The instructors are very experienced and top notch teachers. Kiteboarding is challenging and slightly dangerous. The instructors were able to simplify the activity and explain the important aspects necessary for you to get up and on surfing across the water safely in about 3 hours. That might sound like too long to wait, but as someone who grew up wakeboarding and snowboarding (I'm 33 now), I'm really glad I got the proper instruction before jumping on the board. Highly recommend these guys, and once you complete your first lesson they give you a discount on future lessons. Big thanks to Mauricio and Iza for teaching me how to kitesurf. My partner, Amy, and I did a two day kitesurfing class with Mauricio and it was fantastic!! 10/10 Mauricio was kind, funny, patient, knowledgable and really considerate from start to finish. Even the booking process was super smooth communicating over WhatsApp with his wife, Rocio. We always felt like Mauricio had our best interests at heart and was really honest (he stopped our second day short because there wasn’t enough wind and we only paid for the time we spent with him). There’s a reason why this guy is so well liked on the beach in Tulum - a true local legend!! See you next trip Mauricio :)

I took kitesurfing lesson for the first time in my life at 42 and I must say my instructor Sonia was amazing! She took the time to explain each step and in making sure I mastered each one of them in a safe way:). She was very professional, knowledgeable and very patient. I truly wouldn’t have enjoyed kitesurfing if it wasn’t for her. I also took paddle boarding lesson with Mauricio at the cenotes which was amazing! The entire staff at MCkitesurfing makes you feel part of their family :). They truly care about their customers and their safety and they go above and beyond in making sure you have a wonderful experience. Mauricio and all the teachers at Mexican Caribbean Kitesurf are incredible instructors and the best combination of knowledgeable, patient, kind, encouraging, fun and most importantly, passionate about teaching and kitesurfing. In a few short months of traveling to Tulum to kitesurf, I went from being a person with zero experience kitesurfing, surfing or snowboarding into a lifelong kiter. I have fallen in love with it! The excitement, the joy, the focus, the challenge, being in the ocean – there is nothing better! I went on a kitesurfing trip with Mauricio and his team starting from their base in Tulum "Mexican Caribbean Kitesurf" school. We packed the car and went to Isla Blanca, just north of Cancun. The area is perfect to practice: almost no waves, constant wind and far-out possibility to walk, water up the hips but not higher than your neck. With that perfect conditions, good equipment and a private lesson by Sonja, I made huge steps, going back and forth, going upwind, with demonstration and explanation did not sink anymore at my turns and played around with board control and kite-handling. Additionally we made a whole safety and rescue session in the water. I had a lesson before and was able to go back and forth but this session enabled me to actually do my own thing now. Great experience, great team, could not imagine a better kitesurf-session!!!

Super friendly and laid back team of knowledgeable instructors that want everyone to have fun and learn at their own pace. We had Pawel instructing us and he put his 8yrs experience to good use. My wife felt she wasn’t up for it after 2hrs into our 3hr lesson, so I took the last hour by myself and managed to get up on the board! Super stoked! Tried going back over the next few days but wind and other elements didn’t cooperate. Mauricio the owner was very friendly and let me use a surfboard one time that I went but couldn’t kiteboard. I took private kitesurfing lessons from Mauricio (3h/day for 3 consecutive days) and I couldn't be happier! I had previously taken some beginner lessons in NYC and Outer Banks NC and Mauricio has been by far the most professional, motivating, and patient instructor I have had. He was great at communicating and scheduling classes, always on time if not early for classes. He loves kitesurfing and wants to pass that on to his students. He is also very passionate about the sport and the passion makes him an amazing instructor! He never gives up on you - (even when I wanted to give up!). I cannot recommend him and the entire crew enough. And I will definitely be back to take classes!
