Lagoon Paddleboarding Tour In Tulum

The Laguna de Kaan Luum tour with Mauricio was absolutely excellent! I can't fault it. Mauricio was so welcoming and friendly. I could tell he was a great guy from the messages we exchanged pre the tour to sort out dates and logistics. On the day, he greeted us so warmly and on the drive over to the Lagoon asked detailed questions about us and our work to get to know us better. He's so knowledgeable and such a great teacher. He tailors the experience to each person in the group and the group as a whole and makes you feel safe and inspires confidence if you need that. Lunch with him afterwards at Taqueria Honorio was an added bonus! What an awesome, fun day. I'll be recommending this tour, especially with Mauricio, to anybody who goes to Tulum!

Mauricio is a patient and knowledgeable water sport teacher. He is also very personable. It was a very enjoyable experience. I had a lot of fun learning paddle boarding. I appreciate his passion for the activity. He also took me to the most delicious tacos I’ve ever had.

Beautiful site, excellent service and fun paddleboarding. Great local tacos to finish it off. Tip: go on a day without too much wind.

Mauricio took me and my wife on a SUP tour of the lagoon. It was so awesome! I did not stand up (not great with balance) and my wife stood up about half the time. Mauricio was kind and encouraging and gave us helpful tips. We saw some pretty birds and the lagoon was really pretty. On the way back he gave us the choice - go around the lagoon side again or over the cenote in the middle. We chose the cenote and it was so pretty! Anyway, all this to say, even if you are middle aged and outta shape, you can probably still do this tour well and have fun. Also Mauricio moves the SUPs back and forth to the van so you can just chill in the lagoon before and after. After SUP, Mauricio took us to an amazing and vegan friendly taco place - super yum! Highly recommended!

This tour was very nice. Our guide was attentive and even rearranged our tour for us after my boyfriend got food poisoning. He took his time with us knowing my boyfriend was weak and even took us for soup after paddleboarding. He gave us time to ourselves to hang out at the lagoon and we enjoyed laying in the hammock. He was so nice and enjoyed the conversation. Highly recommend!

Entering a hidden lagoon and paddle boarding over a large expanse surrounded by jungle, this was a unique experience in the Tulum area.

Our host was fabulous and the paddle boarding was spectacular. The lagoon is beautiful and we saw a lot of wildlife on our journey around the lagoon.

Mauricio took the six of us out to the lagoon for paddle boarding. Had a good time on solid boards. A great lunch afterwards at a Mexican restaurant. Overall was a good experience. Would recommend Mauricio and his wonderful attitude. He made the day memorable.

We had a great time! Mauricio is a wonderful instructor and guide. He made the whole experience smooth and fun from start to finish, including teaching everyone how to paddle board, accompanying us around the lagoon, and taking us for a delicious local taco lunch. He was happy to take photos of our group on one of our phones throughout our time with him. He is also responsive to any questions you may send him beforehand. The lagoon and surrounding area are beautiful, and the whole excursion allows plenty of time to enjoy not only the paddle boarding, but also the dock and the swings and hammocks in the water. Nothing felt rushed.

Our instructor Mauricio was very friendly and a patient instructor. The lagoon was beautiful. He took us to a local authentic Mexican restaurant afterwards and the food was delicious. I’d recommend doing this experience because it’s great for beginners and those with experience. :)

Mo was the sweetest man in the world!! He made our experience soo amazing!! He helped us learn, explore, and helped us order food. He’s a gentleman, and I can’t thank him enough!!

Mauricio was our guide for paddle boarding and he deserves 5+ plus stars! We received a friendly greeting upon his arrival and lots of informative conversation on the way to the lagoon. We had an injured person in our group and he went above and beyond to accommodate them and make adjustments as needed while also tending to the rest of the group. He was very knowledgeable in terms of recreation and the local area. He gave each of us lessons and tailored each of them to fit our individual skill level. Throughout the entire tour he was gentle, kind, and always checking in with us. We will not hesitate to rebook with him when we return to Tulum in the future! We booked the tour for a group of 6 girls. Mauricio was the absolute best. He picked us up and gave us options on the activities we could do due to the wind conditions. He took the time to explain to each one of us how to improve our skills step by step. Most of us had little experience paddle boarding and he was able to adapt to all our levels. He was so kind and friendly. He took us out for lunch after paddle boarding. He also gave us many advices on places to go in Tulum. We could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend Mauricio for any of his tours and lessons, you will absolutely not regret it.

YOU HAVE TO BOOK THIS TOUR!!!! Mauricio was amazing!!! I have paddleboarded all over the world and this by far was the best tour I have ever been on. Not only was it beautiful but our tour guide was amazing! Mau picked us up at our airbnb and because someone in my group was injured and could not do the planned trip, he helped us pick a place we could do. He was fun, attentive to all the people and skill levels, he even helped someone paddle out when they could not fight the current! My favorite was that instead of just taking us paddleboarding, he taught us skills and was informative of the area. He taught us about the lagoon, the Mayan traditions of using the clay and the community class that lived in the ocean! We ended our tour at an authentic, local taco spot and had the most delicious meal at a place we would have never found without him! It was an experience of a lifetime and Mauricio really made the trip. 100 stars 🌟 absolutely worth it!

We had Rocio as our tour guide and he was amazing! He taught us how to paddle board and was very patient with us - which we appreciated because it was my friends and I’s first time. He was very friendly and made us very comfortable throughout the excursion. We paddle boarded around the whole lagoon and it was so fun! He also taught us a few things in the lagoon that were interesting. Throughout our journey around the lagoon, he took lots of photos of us and they all turned out great! The lagoon was beautiful and they have some cute swings and hammock that would look nice for photos. After our lesson, he allowed us to use the paddle board, or swim around for fun in the lagoon. He then took us to lunch at one of his favorite places in Tulum and it definitely did not disappoint (it was the best thing we ate during our vacation). The food was so good! He then dropped us off where we needed to be next, which was very kind of him. I highly recommend booking with him, and next time when I want to learn a new water sport in Tulum, they will be the first place I will think of.

Mauricio was a wonderful guide from start to finish. He was cheerful and charismatic, displaying his passion for the lagoon and the surrounding environment. The paddle board was the perfect way to get around the exterior. The lagoon itself was beautiful, highly recommended going in for a swim after the paddle board. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it was topped off with Mauricio taking us to an authentic taco spot in town, which was delicious.

We truly enjoyed our SUP tour of the Kaan Luum Lagoon. Rocio was in great contact the day before the tour. Mauricio picked us up from our condo right on time, was an incredibly personable and knowledgeable guide, and made us feel relaxed and unrushed throughout the half day tour. We had already eaten at his favorite taco place the day prior, so he took us to a local restaurant for a different experience. We had a great day!

Our tour guide Mereceo was AMAZING! Very kind and insightful. He taught us tricks on the paddle board. We got to see turtles and ate some amazing tacos after! I would recommend to anyone regardless of paddlebaoding experience prior. One of my favorite experiences while visiting. The Laguna is unreal!!!!!

Paddle boarding in the lagoon with Mauricio was amazing! The views and the water were beautiful and Mauricio was such a great guide and teacher, he really makes sure you’re taken care of, super friendly and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this activity for anyone interested in water activities and is looking for a beautiful and relaxing morning. Mauricio also brought us to a local taco stand after the trip and treated us to the best tacos we’ve had in Tulum!

AMAZING experience!!! Booked this excursion at the last minute and so glad we did!!! Mauricio takes you to a gorgeous lagoon and gives you paddleboard tips and tricks all while guiding you around the area. He’s Avery knowledgeable and interesting guide and we truly enjoyed our time with him at the Kaan Luum Lagoon. The tacos at Honorio afterwards rivaled the actual paddleboarding experience. DO NOT HESITATE to book. You’ll have a fabulous time. He also takes a bunch of photos and sends them to you right away.

The Lagoon paddle boarding tour with Mauricio was awesome! I would highly recommend this experience. My friend and I were in Tulum and booked this wanting to something active. This was a great workout in an amazing location. Mauricio was really great to hang with and very knowledgable about paddle boarding and the area. We also appreciated the go pro pics! The trip was really well planned out and we would absolutely do this (or another experience) next time we are in Tulum. This was a great experience and would highly recommend it to others.

I HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with Mauricio. He is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He was patient and articulated how to paddleboard very well. He took a ton of great photos and made sure we had a great time. After the tour, he treated us to tacos at the best taco spot in Tulum town. All around a great experience and one of the highlights of our trip.

Wanted to do some kitesurfing lessons but the wind said no! Went out to Soliman Bay for a paddleboard/snorkel tour with Mauricio and had an awesome experience. Both Mauricio and Rocio are great vibes, responsive and honest. Will definitely be dropping them a line the next time I’m in Tulum!

It was all great and was a lot of fun. For us it was the first time stand up paddleboarding and learning in such a beautiful lagoon was a great experience. By the way, you can stand there almost anywhere in waist-high water, which helps a lot in the beginning. Mauricio is a super nice and great teacher! He really explained the technique very well and – although I fell into the water a felt 100 times (in all kinds of ways : ) – we ended up driving across the whole lagoon! Besides, he also took nice photos of us on the boards. It was really a lot of fun. A perfect conclusion to the tour was when Mauricio led us to a small typical Mexican restaurant. Super delicious food – with the best we ate in Mexico! (2 days after that we went right back there: ) 100% recommendation! We loved it and would do this beautiful tour again and again!
