Excellent guide and driver. They were both friendly and professional throughout the entire day. They were right on time throughout and they selected an excellent place for lunch. The vehicle was new and comfortable. I won’t hesitate to use them again next trip Excellent

Itinerary
Get ahead of the crowds and be the first to enter Chichen Itza! We'll pick you up early in the morning (with a private vehicle from your hotel-rental, approx 2h30 driving) so you can arrive at the site right when it opens. With your private guide, you'll have skip-the-line tickets, so you won't have to wait. This means you'll be among the first to explore the site and you'll also beat the heat. Your guide will provide a full private tour of Chichen Itza, and if you'd like, you'll have some free time at the end to browse and shop for souvenirs.
If you choose the tour with a Cenote, you'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in either Cenote Samula, Xkeken, or Oxman. It's the perfect way to cool off after exploring the ruins. Don't worry about feeling rushed - you can stay at the cenote for as long as you like and fully enjoy the experience. We'll provide life vests for your safety.
You'll get to enjoy an authentic Yucatan lunch with your guide at one of the city's top restaurants. Afterward, you'll have some free time to explore the charming colonial town, including the main square and convent areas that are must-see attractions. If you're interested, you'll also have some free time for shopping. After lunch, we'll take you back to your hotel or rental in Tulum (approx. 2-hour drive).

Absolutely fantastic trip with Luis and driver. Highly recommend. On time, educational and very well organized. So good to go early and beat crowds and heat. Cenote Osman was beautiful experience. Amazing traditional lunch in great resturant in Valladenoid.
Our guide and driver were making everything fit for us. We learned a lot and felt in the entire time in good hands.
We had a fab day with our Guide Eddy and driver Omar. Eddie was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed finding out the history of Chichen Itza. It was great to get there early and avoid the crowds. The next stop was cenote Oxman which was so beautiful. We were able to spend as long as we liked here. Lunch was delicious and me enjoyed exploring the colonial town of Valladolid. We were very well looked after and really enjoyed our private tour.
We had a fantastic experience with Luis our Guide and Omar our driver. They picked us up on time and Omar was an extremely safe courteous driver. Luis our guide was very knowledgeable and obviously had a love for the Yucatán Peninsula and the Mayan ruins . I highly recommend this tour and if you get.Luis as your guide you will be extremely happy, this tour was fantastic
Great trip. Friendly and well informed guide (Eddie) making the day very enjoyable.
Our family had a truly wonderful experience with Absolute Adventure on two private tours during our trip. Arturo was our guide both days, and Omar Enrique and Rodrigo were our drivers. From the start, everyone made us feel comfortable, well cared for, and excited for each adventure. On our first tour, we visited the Tulum Ruins, Kaan Luum Lagoon, and Tak-Bi-Ha Cenote. Arturo brought the history of the Mayan culture to life in such an engaging way, and he was patient, knowledgeable, and kind throughout the day. Exploring the cenote with his guidance was a highlight for our family, and the entire experience felt personal, relaxed, and memorable. Our second tour to Chichen Itza, Oxman Cenote, and Valladolid was just as special. We loved arriving early, learning more about the area, swimming in the beautiful cenote, enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, and ending the day downtown with paletas and ice cream. Every part of the itinerary felt thoughtfully planned and easy for our family to enjoy. If you are considering a private excursion, we highly recommend it. The personalized experience made such a difference and gave our family memories we will always cherish. Thank you, Arturo, Omar Enrique, and Rodrigo—we truly appreciate your kindness, professionalism, and care!
The tour was great! Josh and Omar were great! Safe driving and attentive. Josh was knowledgeable about the history and a great guide. The Canote Oxman was nice, and not crowded. Totally recommended!
My partner and I just finished an incredible private tour with Absolute Adventure, and it was easily the highlight of our holiday. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and professional. The Logistics: Our driver, Enrique, was fantastic. He drove exceptionally well, and we felt completely safe in his hands throughout the day. The van itself was spotless, refreshingly cool, and very well-stocked with cold drinks and snacks—which was a lifesaver in the heat! The Guide: Josh was the perfect guide. His knowledge of the history and culture is truly incredible; he made our time at Chichén Itzá unforgettable by sharing insights we never would have found on our own. The Highlights: • Cenote Oxman: After the heat of the jungle, the cenote was a welcome sight. We had a choice of two and were so glad we chose Oxman—the rope swing and jumping platforms were a total blast and made for some great memories! • Lunch & Valladolid: We had a high-quality lunch with plenty of delicious choices. We also really enjoyed having the time to visit the city square in Valladolid. It’s a beautiful town and added a perfect cultural touch to the itinerary. Thanks to Enrique and Josh for helping make our trip truly memorable. If you want a private tour that is safe, informative, and fun, I couldn’t recommend Absolute Adventure more highly!
Best tour ever! Our tour guide, JJ (Juan), was AMAZING! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny and really made the tour worth it! We had a longer tour being farther away from the sites, so more driving, but was never bored. Grateful for the experience!
We had a brilliant day. Dulce adapted the day to suit our and our 8 year old granddaughters needs which was perfect. An interesting, informative and fun day. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you Dulce.
Me and my wife went with tour guide, Dulce and driver, Enrique. It was a 2 hour ride from Dreams Tulum. The van was private and comfortable. Our first stop was a convenient store where we were allowed to have a cup of coffee and package snack. Chichten Itza is walkable and majestic. Dulce was patient and knowledgeable. Our next stop was Cenote where I had a great swim while my wife was content to watch. The steps to Cenote were steep and my wife’s knee issues it was difficult. Then our third stop was at an authentic Mexican restaurant where we had alacarte lunch which was delicious. After that we were allowed to have some shopping. The tour seemed expensive but considering the private ride, tickets to Chichten Itza and Cenote and alacarte meals, it may be reasonable. We were limited to only 200 pesos per person for lunch. Anything above comes out of your pocket which the advertisement doesn’t reflect. Kudos to Enrique also who drove us safe.
What an excellent, well planned day! We started early at 6AM , Joshua (guide) and Omar (driver) were already waiting for us when we arrived at the lobby. We did a quick stop to pick up complimentary coffee and croissants . When we arrived at Chichen Itza , We were the first ones to get in . Joshua took lots of beautiful pictures of our family with no crowd, Joshua was very knowledgeable about the history and explained in great interesting details . We spent couple of hours at Chichen itza and then headed to the Cenote where we spent a fun hour. Joshua then took us for the complimentary lunch at a local restaurant , the dish cochinita pibil pork was soft, succulent and full of flavor . We spent another half hour at colonial town of valladolid.and then headed back to Cancun . We were back around 3 pm and the day was packed with fun and well planned adventure giving us the freedom to customize time at each stop. The company was in constant touch via email , very professional . I highly recommend this tour company !
The tour was well-planned, timely, courteous and safe. The day was perfectly planned. I look forward to booking with them again.
This private tour was amazing! Our guide Arturo was knowledgeable, kind, and knew all the best places to go. We were able to adjust the tour to fit our family’s needs and will definitely use this company again when we next come back.
Alex provides a wonderful experience on his tours. He shares so much history and information, as well as being very personable and friendly. Alex and Omar are a great team.
Cristina is amazing, soo much knowledge, this company is lucky to have her. She should be teaching as a college professor somewhere.please enjoy her talents as a tour guide while she is here. I assume she will move to bigger and better things. Loved it.
I had an amazing tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico, visiting the iconic Chichen Itza and the beautiful Cenote Oxman — and it was truly a highlight of my trip! Our guide, Arturo, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Mayan history and culture. Thanks to Arturo, we didn’t just see Chichen Itza — we understood it. He brought the ruins to life with rich storytelling and fascinating facts. After exploring the site, we cooled off at Cenote Oxman, which was absolutely stunning with the crystal clear water and such a fun, refreshing experience. Everything was well-organized and stress-free. The private tour format made it feel personal and flexible, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a deeper and more memorable experience in the Yucatán.
Our guide Juan was knowledgeable, entertaining, and very accommodating for our large family. I could not recommend this tour enough.
We spent an amazing day with our tour guide Alex and our driver Enrico. Everything worked like clockwork. They arrived on time and showed us a great day with lots of information and great photo opportunities at Chichin Itza the Cenote swim and then at the lunch we had at a great spot . They were professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them.
We had a really wonderful experience in Mexico this December with Absolute Adventure Mexico. Our first tour was to Chichen Itza and a cenote with a lunch in Valladolid. Our tour guide Arturo was extremely knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins and answered lots and lots of questions that we had about all kinds of things that were not necessarily part of the tour "script". He made suggestions about the best things to do and even advise us on ways to improve some of the other experiences we were planning to have in Mexico. He stopped at a convenience store so that we could buy a waterproof case for our phone when we realized that we wanted one for our tours. He made suggestions about a special drink we could try during our lunch. We really enjoyed our time with him and the attentive and tailored experience we had. Our second tour was to swim with the sea turtles at Azumal and another cenote and lunch with our tour guide Juan. Again, we had a wonderful experience with lots of excellent conversation. We were able to ask lots of questions and get information about local flora and fauna. We never felt rushed and all in all it was a very pleasant few hours. Our driver on both days was Enrique and he did a great job. We felt very confident with his excellent driving and it was lovely that he stayed in the vehicle to guard all of our things so that we could have unencumbered time swimming and doing activities without worrying about our personal items. He was always very helpful with getting us drinks and getting our equipment for each activity. We thought it was very nice to be with a local family-owned Mexican business and we found the service to be top notch both emailing with the co-owner Claire and spending our days with the driver and tour guides. We were recommended this company by a friend and we will be recommending it to others anytime we have the opportunity. I would also note that the prices were quite comparable if not cheaper than some of the big companies that have you in a group with a whole bunch of other people - whereas this was a private tour where we got personalized service, never felt rushed and got to guide our own way to some extent. We would not hesitate to come back again and again anytime we come to this area of Mexico.
The reviews don't lie! This is the best tour we've ever been on. Our guide, Alex, and driver, Omar, were fantastic. It was just our family (4 of us) and it was like having our own history professor along for the ride. Alex knows so much about Mayan history and culture, and spent a ton of time answering our questions and explaining the significance of what we were seeing. We were so glad we got to Chichen Itza early, as Alex knew exactly where to go for the best family photos before the crowds arrived. We couldn't believe how long the line was when we left!!! Alex took my husband to see some more ruins on the site while my daughters and I shopped, and then Omar had the van ready to go when we were done. I really don't think we would have fully appreciated the culture and the symbolism in what we were seeing if we hadn't had Alex there with us. Then we went to Cenote Samula - they said we could choose a different one, but this is the one they recommended because it's not crowded. They were right! There were only a couple of other people in the cenote when we got there, and we had all the time we wanted in it. I hate cold water, and this water wasn't bad. It was refreshing, but not uncomfortably cold. Then the restaurant we went to for lunch was fantastic. A totally nondescript, authentic restaurant with great service. Alex joined us and we got to talk even more about Mexico. By that time we were pretty exhausted, but we stopped in the town to check out the oldest church in Mexico, and then headed back to our hotel. I LOVED that our schedule was our own - we didn't have to wait for anyone else or rush through anything because the whole tour was just ours. There are some destinations that are fine DIY, but I highly recommend booking a guided, private tour for Chichen Itza. The driving, navigating, tolls, etc., are theirs to worry about, not yours. I want to especially thank Omar and Alex for their professionalism. They really made the tour even more amazing for all of us!
Arturo, our guide, and Omar, our driver were the best choice for our group. We got a great history and tour of Chichen Itza and then the cenote was a highlight for us (2 non-swimmers were made to feel safe and had fun in the water). We recommend!
Alex and Omar were awesome. They are very friendly extremely knowledgeable and informative they gave us more information than we could ever get by reading all the signs. This trip was well worth the money. Highly recommend!!!
This has been on my husbands bucket list for some time. He loves ancient history and I was so excited for him when we booked this tour. And it did not disappoint. Our tour guide, Joshua, is so knowledgeable and friendly. Joshua’s ability to answer all questions without hesitation was impressive. He really knows his stuff. And the ruins……breathtaking. If you’re visiting Mexico, please try to put this in your itinerary. (And ask for Joshua as your guide)!
I read the amazing reviews before booking with this company and they definitely did not disappoint! I can definitely say that they deserve their 5 star rating! They picked us up from our hotel right at 6am, and started our way to Chichen Itza (we stopped in they way for some coffee and breads as a light breakfast), then Joshua gave us an amazing very knowledgeable tour in Chichen Itza, constantly changing between Spanish and English to accommodate all my family. After Chichen Itza we went to swim at the Cenote and then to have a delicious lunch at a wonderful restaurant in Valladolid. We had an amazing day and would recommend them to everyone!
Best experience ever! Alex and Omar were so kind and patient. Alex was incredibly informative about chichen and Mayan history. Every thing was seamless and very organized. Got to chichen early so it was cool and less crowded. Also was able to get some amazing photos. Had the best meal we had this trip in Vallodolid. Definitely a must and worth the price. Thank you Alex and Omar!
Our sons (8) and (10) can’t stop talking about our trip to Chichen Itza. Our tour guide, Joshua, answered all of their questions and made the tour interesting for all of us! The entire day was seamless and well planned out! We would definitely recommend!!!! Especially with Joshua!
Excellent tour guide - Juan Diez and Drivers Rodrigo and Pascual. We spent two days with Absolute Adventures on our recent vacation to Tulum. Day in included a early morning tour of the ruins in Tulum followed by snorkeling with Tortugas in Akumal Bay and swimming and lunch at Cenotes Sac Actun. We so enjoyed the informative and relaxing tours with Juan Diez that we booked another excursion to Chichen Itza. A nearly day long adventure including a comfortable 2.5 our van ride, amazing tour of one of the seven wonders of the world, a visit to more amazing cenotes and lunch at La Atria in Valladolid - an amazing little town in the Yucatan jungle. Our guide and drivers were always on time, incredibly hospitable, spoke excellent english and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
The tour with Michaela and Eric was super nice. Very informative what life in Mexico really means. Everything was super organized. The guide in Chichén Itzá was brilliant, had explained everything great in German. The best was the cenote super nice. We would love to go with you again, on the next visit to Mexico. Thank you for the lovely memories.
