Basic Surf Lessons In Tulum

My boyfriend and I really wanted to say Pluma was an amazing instructor. I am a traveler and have experienced plenty of first time things. Pluma stands out, he was so passionate, kind, and genuine with our experience. It is hours later and we’re still reflecting on what he taught and said to us. We feel you should know that he is a great instructor. Thank you so much for the experience, we will be back.

The instructor was very easy to work with and very patient. The system for learning in an hour was really well structured and made it so we had enough to go off and practice independently. When we come back we'd definitely consider booking again because the guy was so good!

It was a really cool and fun experience! Mauricio was very professional and taught us a lot about surfing and made sure we were safe and comfortable as well to try new tricks. It's very physically demanding, and it took me a while to learn how to balance myself on the board while my fiance looked like a dolphin on it. Very worth the price and would do it again!

Mauricio and his team (Mathis!) are simply wonderful, very professional and fun! My wife took kite lessons and progressed a lot! I also kited in front of their kite school (Ahau Tulum), and we both had a great time! We also travelled one day with Mauricio's group to Isla Blanca for a perfect kiting day. Went with my friend who had also never surfed before. He was a phenomenal instructor, Incredibly friendly, amicable, great vibe and really made sure we learned and were safe while doing it. Would absolutely recommend this.

What a great experience for my kids and I. We had no previous experience surfing before today. My two youngest has a bit of trouble with it by my 14 managed fine. I would definitely recommend this.

I paid for me and my grandson unfortunately, I lost my fees as I was not well but my grandson got to go and the guide was absolutely amazing and much was learned. It truly is worth the price. I just wished that my grandson got at least a little extra time to compensate my lost fees. So if your looking for an activity for a 14 year old this is it.

This was my first surfing lesson and it was an excellent experience. Our instructor was knowledgable, skilled, and a great teacher. I would definitely recommend booking with them if you are ever in Tulum!

Mauricio was our guide and we received a super friendly and hospitable welcome. We have zero experience in surfing so Mauricio took the time to walk us through everything step by step. He makes you feel comfortable and asks several times how you are doing. We would have loved to come again, but unfortunately we don't have time for it. Highly recommended!

Mauricio and his team are great! If you have any wish to try surfing or kite surfing but are new or a little nervous I would go to them. They got my teens up and standing on their boards! Really patient and helpful and fun. We loved just being around these guys.

10/10 would recommend. Mauricio was very nice, fun and full of knowledge. Whether you are a beginner or have surfed before, Mauricio will show you a good time. He was always checking in on how we were doing and teaching us things/challenging us specific to our level of skills. The location on the beach is amazing and right next to a raw bar for a nice smoothie, bowl or elixir after you surf. We had a blast!

Above and beyond our expectations! My son (5 years old) had taken a few lessons in NY over the summer and we decided to try out a lesson during our vacation to Tulum in February. Mauricio and his wife were extremely punctual and professional in their communication around availability and scheduling. But more importantly, Mauricio was an absolute gem. He put so much care and attention into our son and the lesson that we booked daily outings. I literally felt as if he were out on the water learning with his uncle. He kept him safe while also taking a genuine interest in his skill set and building on it from there. He didn't dial in a lesson which you often expect in a resort type atmosphere. Mauricio's love of water sport and interest in teaching others was very apparent. My son became even more confident and enthralled with the water and surfing after his time with Mauricio. The experience embodied everything that makes Tulum and its people so special. Thank You and we look forward to seeing you again!

My boyfriend and I took surfing lessons with Mauricio on my birthday and it was definitely the highlight of my day. I've always wanted to go surfing, but can barely swim. Mauricio life jackets and very clear instructions. He was also very patient and encouraging during the lesson; which is exactly what you want in an instructor when you're doing something that's so new and challenging. Séance réservée pour ma fille. Nous pensions qu'il s'agissait d'un cours collectif, mais elle était toute seule à profiter des conseils du moniteur (dont j'ai oublié le prénom) mais qui était extrèmement gentil et pédagogue. Nous avons demandé la veille à avancer de 2h l'heure du cours et cela a été possible sans problème. Le cours a débuté par des conseils théoriques sur la belle plage de l'Hôtel Ahau, puis la mise en pratique dans les vagues. Ma fille a également pu bénéficier de la planche pour pratiquer toute seule durant une heure, quand elle le souhaitait. Je recommande vivement
