My wife and I found ourselves at Una Vida/Hotel Bardo when we needed a quick alternative to our failed Airbnb. This turned out to be serendipitous because the property, along with its sister Una Vida, was the ideal place to relax for a week. Everything from the pools, the bar the food (and included fresh breakfast daily), and most importantly the extremely friendly and accommodating staff made our week a complete success. We were even able to bring guests who were staying nearby over for the day to lounge around the pool, eat and drink. They also had a number of offerings such as free yoga every morning, including an incredible ancient temescal tradition, a guided Mayan sweat lodge ceremony. We were located close to the town yet secluded enough to feel like you could've been anywhere. For the budget and what we got for it, 10/10 experience - no notes.

I don’t know how this oasis only has 3 stars! Rooms amazing (need a bin in plunge pool room for general rubbish). The pool is gorgeous and lovely to spend time around. Enrique couldn’t do enough for us and we are so grateful for his help. Perfect spot to explore Tulum and local cenotes, ruins, the beach and so much more. Thank you all for a truly remarkable stay 🫶
I just returned from an unforgettable week in Tulum and can confidently say that staying at Una Vida at Villa Jacinta was one of the best travel experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived, this place set the bar incredibly high. The staff is genuinely top-tier. Enrique at the front desk was an absolute superstar — he provided excellent directions, insider recommendations for restaurants and activities, and made us feel right at home. Jose and the rest of the team were equally outstanding. They remembered our favorite drinks and exactly how we liked our breakfast every morning. The level of attentive, personalized hospitality was something you rarely find. We truly felt looked after the entire stay. The property itself is stunning and immaculately clean. Our villa was luxurious: three spacious bedrooms (one with a double bed and two with king beds), four bathrooms (including indoor and outdoor options), a comfortable living room with TV, and a beautiful backyard complete with a seating area, hammock, and our own private pool. It felt like a private oasis. We loved that Una Vida is connected to Bardo, which has what I can only describe as the most gorgeous pool I’ve ever seen. My partner actually preferred the pool at Hotel Milam (another beautiful premium property just a 3-minute walk away). The fact that you can access multiple high-end pools in the same small complex is a massive bonus. Location-wise, it’s perfect. We were only about 18 minutes from the main strip with all the action, and there are convenient grocery stores and pharmacies nearby. The property feels very safe and secure, with private security at the gate ensuring only guests can enter. They even offer complimentary bikes, though I ended up renting a car (Enrique’s directions were a lifesaver again). The food at the hotel was very reasonably priced, and their passion fruit margaritas were to die for — I still dream about them! Every day we received a friendly WhatsApp message asking if we wanted cleaning or pool service, which gave us great privacy while still feeling pampered. This place strikes the perfect balance between luxury, comfort, and convenience. We’re already planning our next trip and will definitely be staying longer than a week next time. If you’re considering Tulum, do yourself a favor and book Una Vida at Villa Jacinta — you won’t regret it! Highly recommended — 5/5 stars!
This hotel is thoughtfully designed and a very intentional space. The décor is beautiful throughout, and the staff truly elevated every aspect of the experience. The one bedroom layout was spacious, comfortable, and clearly designed with the guests in mind. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was outstanding at Una Vida and neighbouring Bardo.
The hotel met all my expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and very well-appointed. The staff deserves a special round of applause – professional, smiling, and genuinely helpful, not just "generally nice." Breakfasts are fresh and varied. The good location, peaceful atmosphere, and high standards make this a place you want to return to. I highly recommend it.
