Our stay at Mi Amor in Tulum was unforgettable! The staff truly made the experience—five-star service from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Everyone was so thoughtful and made us feel incredibly cared for throughout our stay. Every night, they left warm tea and cookies in our room, such a sweet detail to come back to. The kindness and attention we received set a whole new standard for hospitality. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return!

Enjoyed a 4 night stay at Mi Amor hotel during the dry season of August. We knew there would be seaweed on the beach. Therefore this location was ideal, as it sits on a bluff, allowing us to enjoy the sounds of the waves, views of the ocean, and use of the private cabanas. We took advantage of our private plunge pool and the hotel swimming pool with beach view. The staff were incredible, from Tania at check-in, to fantastic meals and service with Herman, Allen and Antonio at the restaurant and the entire hotel team. Wonderful turn down service with daily tea & cookies waiting in a sparking clean and refreshed room. The spa ancestoral hot stone massage provided by Ade was one of the best services received as truly restorative and therapeutic, beyond relaxing! Thank you Ade for your excellent care! Hotel transport to and from the airport was smooth and comfortable. The excursion arranged with Tipia from Xaman-Ha Connections to experience the underground cenotes was incredible!
My husband and I had a great great time at this amazing resort with amazing views and amazing stuff. Thank you all so much for making our stay very lovable and exciting, everything was so clean from the rooms to the beds to the bathroom. We will definitely see you guys again.
I definitely got off to bad start being welcomed by the most arrogant desk host ever. The hotel was completely empty, yet she refused to let me check in until 3pm. Luckily the rest of the staff was lovely and very accommodating. Honestly, the hotel is kind of weird. All the private pools and room terraces are visible to guests walking by. The center pool is very small and was super dirty when i visited. The rude host i mentioned before said it's always like that. i doubt it, but she insisted that you can never see the bottom of the pool. The cabanas on the rocks are amazing, although it would have been nice to have service out there. Location is great. Very quiet, yet close to the fun for evenings out. One really troubling thing was the room humidity. I dont think they properly insulated the doors & windows. my host insisted that i must keep the AC on at all times and never leave the balcony doors open. I complied, but when i set the AC to 74 there was so much humidity the floors were literally wet. I had to put towels on the floor! The only way to combat this was to freeze the room, so basically i was super uncomfortable in the room the entire time. Overall, I'd give this hotel a 3. It's not luxury, it's not private enough for a true romantic getaway. The spa service i got was a zero. But, it is pretty, and in a nice location and most of the staff is great. Meh...I won't be back.... If you get a good deal, it's a decent hotel.
This would have been a five star review had we been given the room we pre-paid for. The only reason we upgraded to something so nice was because it was our honeymoon. Spent almost double the price and they gave us a lower tier room. When brought up, they played it off as though they just changed the decor. Attached are photos of what we paid for versus the room we got. I had even emailed them over a week in advance mentioning our room, my name, and the occasion when setting up the airport transfer. They changed our room but it still was not as nice or large as the room we pre-paid for. The resort was so empty I don’t understand how that was the only option. look at the photos of the listing. the garden room has a huge porch, partial sea views, larger room with kitchen table, etc. Look at the photo of our “porch” with the plunge pool. There is no view, it was small, no view of the sea. The photos are either extremely misleading or they double booked the room & took our money anyway. Again, the only reason we decided to spend extra was because it was for our honeymoon :( Otherwise, the hotel is gorgeous, restaurant staff was amazing and friendly, the food was so delicious. We liked how quiet it was. There is no swimmable beach but you can walk to a sister property a few minutes down the road. Had we been provided the room we paid for, I would have given this property 5 stars and recommendations to my friends also traveling to Tulum in the upcoming months but it feels a bit dishonest and icky unfortunately.
